Congrats !!! Congratulations are in order for Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul and his wife Jada. The happy couple, who were married last fall in a fairytale ceremony, are expecting their second child together, ESSENCE.com has learned exclusively. “Chris, Lil’ Chris and I are excited about the new addition to our family that is coming this summer,” confirmed Jada. “Lil’ Chris is already kissing my stomach and talking to his new sister.” The happy couple met and fell in love in college at Wake Forest University where he quickly became a breakout star. DCFS And Police Investigate The Octomom’s House For Poor Living Conditions This Octo-beyotch is the f***ing WORST!!! According to TMZ reports : The La Habra Police Department and the Orange County Dept. of Family and Children’s Services showed up at the home of Octomom Nadya Suleman Tuesday night, after receiving a complaint from her hairstylist that the mother of 14 allows her kids to live in horrendous conditions. Octomom’s hairstylist went to the PD today and she tells us … she told cops she has been in the house and seen the following: – the plumbing is a disaster … there is only one working toilet in the house – some of the kids are pooping on portable training toilets located in their bedrooms and in the backyard – the kids appear malnourished and unbathed – she observed Octomom locking her kids in a bedroom while she tended to personal matters – the house is filthy The stylist made other allegations as well. When the cop and 3 Children’s Services workers arrived and walked inside, you can hear Octo say, “Excuse the graffiti.” The authorities stayed an hour-and-a-half and left. We’re told they determined the kids were not in danger so they weren’t removed from the home, but there will be a follow-up with Children’s Services. Babies are getting trampled on and all kinds of ruthless isht! An annual Easter egg hunt in central Georgia has been canceled after organizers say parents became violent while trying to collect eggs for themselves and their children in past years. This will be the first time in years that the Easter Bunny won’t be visiting children during the annual egg hunt at Central City Park in Macon, traditionally one of the largest Easter events in central Georgia. Bibb County Commissioner Joe Allen tells The Telegraph of Macon that liability concerns led to the cancellation. Allen is founder and CEO of Kids Yule Love, which coordinated the event. Allen said he canceled this year’s hunt because parents caused children to be hurt. He said that in past years, one woman was injured and several children were “trampled on.” SMH at these parents, just SMH!!! Source More On Bossip! WTF !? At least 14 youths have been stoned to death in Baghdad in the past three weeks in what appears to be a campaign by Shi’ite militants against youths wearing Western-style “emo” clothes and haircuts, security and hospital sources say: Militants in Shi’ite neighbourhoods where the stonings have taken place circulated lists on Saturday naming more youths targeted to be killed if they do not change the way they dress. A leaflet distributed in the Shi’ite Bayaa district of east Baghdad seen by Reuters on Saturday had 24 names of youths targeted for killing. “We strongly warn you, to all the obscene males and females, if you will not leave this filthy work within four days the punishment of God will descend upon you at the hand of the Mujahideen,” the leaflet said. In a statement last month the interior ministry said it was monitoring “the ‘emo’ phenomenon, or Satanism” which it said was spreading through schools, particularly among teenage girls. “They wear tight clothes that bear paintings of skulls, they use school implements with skulls and wear rings in their noses and tongues as well as other weird appearances,” it said. Another leaflet in Sadr City bore 20 names. “We are the Brigades of Anger. We warn you, if you do not get back to sanity and the right path, you will be killed,” it said. Nine bodies were brought to hospitals in Sadr City, a vast, poor Shi’ite neighbourhood, three were brought to East Baghdad’s main al-Kindi hospital and two were brought to the central morgue, medical sources said. Hard Pill To Swallow: Study Finds Heart Disease Drugs Have The Side Effect Of “Curing Racism”

Side effects include: fatigue, muscle aches and hugging a random black person? British researchers found that a common heart disease drug lowers more than blood pressure… it lowers racist attitudes as well: Researchers at Oxford University say that volunteers who took small doses of the beta blocker propranolol scored lower on tests used to detect “subconscious” racism than volunteers who took a dummy pill, London’s The Telegraph reported. Propranolol is used to reduce blood pressure, and can also manage panic and anxiety disorders. In the study, a group of 18 white students were given 20 mg doses of the drug before taking a test to gauge prejudice attitudes, while another group was given a placebo. In one part of the test, volunteers were asked to sort pictures of black and white faces into categories along with positive and negative words, such as “happy” and “sad.” In another segment, the test-takers were asked to report how “warm” they felt toward certain groups, including black people and Muslims. Results showed the group that took propranolol showed lower “implicit” racist feelings, meaning they appeared less racist on a subconscious level. Maybe we shouldn’t rule out the possibility that the effects were due to the drug incidentally reducing heart rate. So although this study is interesting, these initial results are a LOONG way away from suggesting that the drug is a cure to racism. Source More On Bossip! When they drop that new iPad all the tech geeks go craaaaaazy, the tech geeks go craaaaazy! Apple today announced its new iPad — a powerful updated model with a new processor and a high-definition display. The new “Retina Display” screen has 2048 x 1536 resolution, which is higher than that found any other tablet on the market. The result, said Apple, will be much crisper pictures and video. After weeks of rumors that it might be called the “iPad 3″ or “iPad HD,” Apple only referred to it as “the new iPad” at today’s rollout in San Francisco. Apple’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Philip W. Schiller, touted the new screen on stage. “You are going to see sharper images,” he said. “Photos are just going to look amazing.” On the outside, the new iPad looks very similar to the tablet Apple has been selling for more than a year. But with an A5x processor and quad-core graphics, Apple said images would have 44 percent greater color saturation than one sees on the previous model. There will be 3.1 million pixels on the screen, 264 pixels per inch. The new tablet will have 10 hours of battery life, Schiller said, nine hours when receiving 4G signals. It will be all of 9.5 mm thick. …Apple has also added 4G LTE capabilities from Verizon and AT&T, meaning those who opt for the 3G / 4G models will get faster browsing and Internet speeds. This is the first time Apple has decided to integrate LTE into one of its products. The base model, which will start at $499, will have 16GB of memory and only Wi-Fi connectivity. Two very successful and focused Black men, doin’ in good in Hollywood and the ‘hood. Some of you may be familiar with Vernon Davis, the star tight end for the San Francisco 49ers. He is a beast on the field, strong and fast with a great knack for finding the end zone once the ball hits his hands. You may not be as familiar with Antone Barnes, but that will soon change. Antone, a former record executive, has worked with the likes of Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and Nelly, helping them to bring their musical visions to fruition. These two brothas have joined their creative minds to form an interior design company called Modern Class Design. Additionally, Vernon and his Miami Dolphin brother Vontae, have put their resources together to establish the Vernon and Vontae Davis Family Foundation. Both of these businesses are focused on leadership and community both in the the business and social arenas. Bossip was afforded the pleasure of speaking to the unlikely tag-team to get their take on what it means to be at the forefront of their field and what MCD and VVFF really stands for.
