Source: Westend61 / Getty This…is…scary!!! HIV Contracted After Vampire Facials A bizarre but trendy procedure caused damning consequences for two people at a New Mexico spa. After at first urging patrons of Albuquerque’s VIP Spa to get tested, health officials have confirmed that two people contracted the HIV virus. The New Mexico Department of Health said in a news release Monday that two clients of the spa who received “vampire facials” last year were recently infected with the same HIV strain. The facial procedure that’s garnered attention from celebs who tried it, uses the client’s own blood and injects it into the face to replenish the skin. KOAT Action News reports that more than 100 people have already been tested for HIV, hepatitis B, and C and VIP Spa closed in September after state agencies found issues with how needles were handled and disposed of. The New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department added that the owner of VIP Spa did not have a licensed professional to draw blood. So, so scary. Be CAREFUL with the procedures you undergo, folks!

Dread It, Run From It: Woman Hospitalized After Strenuously Shedding Tears During ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Source: Gabe Ginsberg/WireImage / Getty Woman Hospitalized For Crying During ‘Avengers: Endgame’ A woman overseas was reportedly hospitalized after she shed a barrel of tears during a Marvel movie. The International News reports that a woman named Xiaoli struggled to breathe while watching “Avengers: Endgame” this weekend. Xialoi was reportedly so overwhelmed by the movie that she had to be taken to a hospital because she was hyperventilating. Her doctor spoke with The International News about the incident: “I saw that the patient had been breathing heavily, and according to the description from her peers, we thought that she her crying had caused ‘hyperventilation’. We immediately gave her oxygen and relaxed her emotions by appeasement, reducing her hyperventilation symptoms.” The distraught young woman has since been released. The movie did have some very emotional moments; but was it that serious??? Were you distraught too by “Avengers: Endgame”???

Peabo Bryson remains hospitalized in stable condition after having what’s being called a “mild” heart attack. A rep for Peabo told TMZ that the Grammy winner was at his home in Georgia early Saturday morning when he suffered the attack. His rep says he’s currently responsive and both his medical team and family are optimistic that he’ll make a speedy recovery. “At this time, privacy is requested; however, the thoughts and prayers of friends and fans are welcomed and appreciated,” Peabo’s rep told TMZ. Thoughts and prayers for the man who gave us “A Whole New World”—you got it, Peabo! Get well soon.

Source: Chicago Tribune / Getty R. Kelly’s Lawyers Claim He Missed His Civil Court Case Because He Doesn’t Know How To Read According to TMZ , R. Kelly’s legal team is fighting a default judgment granted to one of his alleged victims because the R&B legend can’t really read. Earlier this week, Kelly lost a civil lawsuit in which he was accused of sexually abusing an underage girl in the late 1990s . The 52-year-old singer failed to respond to appear in court & respond to the lawsuit, which led a Cook County judge to issue a default judgment for the plaintiff. Zaid Abdallah and Raed Shalabi, are now claiming the singer’s “learning disability” prevented him from reading the court documents and taking proper action. “[Kelly] suffers from a learning disability that adversely affects his ability to read,” legal documents state, “… in essence he cannot.” A damages hearing for the case will take place on May 8. Kelly’s attorneys are asking that the default judgment be set aside so that they can fight the plaintiff’s claims.
