George Herbert Walker Bush, the 41st president of the United States and the father of ex-Commander-in-Chief George W. Bush, died on Friday night. He was 94 years old. The sad news was confirmed yesterday by spokesperson Jim McGrath. “George Herbert Walker Bush, World War II naval aviator, Texas oil pioneer, and 41st President of the United States of America, died on November 30, 2018. “He was 94 and is survived by his five children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two siblings,” the former president’s office said in a statement. Concluded this message: “He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Barbara; his second child Pauline “Robin” Bush; and his brothers Prescott and William or “Bucky” Bush.” Bush, a Republican who held the Oval Office for one term, was hospitalized back in April , just one day after laying his beloved wife to rest. He had contracted an infection at the time, but it’s too early right now to know the President’s cause of death. Son George W. spoke on behalf of his siblings with a statement of his own shortly after his father died on Friday. It reads as follows: Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear Dad has died. George H. W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for. The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens. North Carolina A&T State clinched its second consecutive MEAC championship and trip to the Celebration bowl with a dominating performance in a 45-0 road victory against arch-rival North Carolina Central in the Aggie-Eagle Classic. It was the most lopsided victory for either team in the rivalry since North Carolina Central returned to the conference in 2011. The Aggies (9-2, 5-1 MEAC) overwhelmed North Carolina Central on both sides of the ball. They gained 539 yards total offense with a three-pronged attack with quarterback Lamar Reynard, receiver Elijah Bell and running back Marquell Cartwright, doing most of the damage. Raynard, who sat out the Aggies’ victory against Savannah State a week ago due to a concussion, returned and completed 16 of 23 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns; Bell, who has been dogged by injuries all season, appeared to be completely healthy as he caught 10 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns and is two catches shy of breaking the school record for touchdown receptions; Cartwright, the leading rusher in the MEAC, ran for 110 yards on 20 carries to top the 1,000-yard mark for the second consecutive season. The Aggies have had a 1,000-yard runner in eight of the last nine seasons. Cartwright also scored a pair of touchdowns. North Carolina A&T’s defense was nothing short of suffocating. The Aggies held the Eagles to a miniscule 41 yards total offense, including minus-21 rushing – the lowest number in the 90-year history of the rivalry. “That’s what we do. That’s what we’re about. Edman has survived two of the most deadly tragedies America has faced in recent years: the fatal mass shooting inside the Borderline Bar & Grill, and the tragic wildfires that had most of Malibu in flames. CBSLA reports: Carmen Edman said her family’s harrowing escape from Malibu on Nov. 8 as the fire raged around them came a day after her daughter, Deseriee, survived the mass shooting inside the Borderline Bar & Grill. Deseriee told reporters, “Two-near death experiences that you just don’t expect. I’m trying to stay strong as possible for my family and my friends. And I’m trying to look at everything as positive as I can in these types of situations.” Is it just us, or does Edman’s story sound like a scene from the Final Destination movies? This was evident to anyone who perused Porter’s Instagram page. Just over a week before she passed away, Porter posted a lengthy tribute to Diddy on the occasion of his 49th birthday. These same sources say Porter and Diddy celebrated holidays as a family, vacationed together and simply hung out on a frequent basis. Overall, there was never an extended period of time during which the exes were even on particularly bad terms. Heck, Diddy and Porter never even formalized a custody agreement; they simply worked around each other’s schedules and amicably figured out who would care for the kids when. It really is a tragedy all around. Porter was found dead at her Toluca Lake home Thursday following what appears to have been a cardiac arrest. She had reportedly recently gotten over pnuemonia and had contacted her doctor the day before because she felt ill — but no cause of death has been confirmed as of this writing. Porter leaves behind her and Diddy’s 20-year-old son Christian and 11-year-old daughters Jessie James and D’Lila, as well as 27-year-old Quincy, who’s dad is recorded artist Al B. He’s very protective so at first, he was like, ‘Oh hell nah!!!!’ Then the more that we talked about it, we realized that this is a great platform for us to share our testimony. How do you balance being a wife and mother with RHOA? I am a superwoman! I have a great support system, it consists of my husband, my family, and my friends. Even though I ‘m a superwoman every superwoman needs help. We understand that you’ve known Kandi for a number of years, what other housewives are you close with? I think all the housewives are great and we’re getting to know each other more. I’m still closest with Kandi, I just have such a great history with her. She’s worked with my group and we come from the same musical background from the 90s and [from] her doing the “808 Remix” for Blaque. I feel really close to her. I’m getting to know everybody, everybody is really, really, cool. Is there a housewife, in particular, you’ve enjoyed getting to know? I really like NeNe, she keeps me laughing—she’s so funny! And [I like] Eva because we have the same connection, we’re both new mothers, we have that in common. Are you working on any new music? Yes, I have some new music that I’m working on with Blaque. We have a surprise coming up so stay tuned. Also, my husband and I have a singing group called ‘Me and Mari’, we’ve been working on new music for a few years now. We’re finally ready to release our single called “Love Comes Through.” What do you want RHOA fans to learn about Shamari DeVoe?
