Seth Rogen Says ’50/50′ Head-Shaving Scene Was Improvised

‘My heart was beating hard,’ Joseph Gordon-Levitt tells MTV News. By Amy Wilkinson Joseph Gordon Levitt and Seth Rogen in “50/50” Photo: Summit Entertainment If the Summit Entertainment marketing machine has done its job, you’ve probably seen the eye-catching movie posters for the studio’s latest release “50/50.” The goofy one-sheet depicts a memorable scene from the film in which Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s cancer-stricken Adam shaves his head, while a dubious Adam (played by Seth Rogen) looks on. It’s one of the movie’s many lighthearted moments, adding levity to what could otherwise be a downer drama. But according to the film’s stars, the take wasn’t as carefree as it may have looked. “My heart was beating hard, because we only had one take because you can’t shave your head twice. It doesn’t work,” Gordon-Levitt said at the “50/50” premiere earlier this week in New York. “Normally, you can always do it over again when you’re making movies. You get a take two. But we only got take one, and it worked.” Apparently, Gordon-Levitt had another reason to be nervous about the scene — it wasn’t scripted. According to producer and co-star Rogen, the two just played it by ear. “We only had one shot at it,” Rogen recalled. “It was the first day of filming, and we improvised the whole thing, which is not wise when it’s something you have one take for, but it turned out funny. It went exactly how you see it in the movie, which was pretty good, I think.” You can judge Gordon-Levitt’s razor skills for yourself: “50/50,” co-starring Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard and Anjelica Huston, opened Friday (September 30). Scarlett Johansson Nude Pics Removed From Website Following Legal Action

TheDirty.com founder says he ‘felt bad’ for the actress because the photos are obviously ‘personal and private.’ By Jocelyn Vena Scarlett Johansson Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images When nude pics of Scarlett Johansson hit the Web this week, the actress and her team quickly worked to make sure that they were taken down from any sites that had published them. The man behind one of those sites, Nik Richie of TheDirty.com, told E! News that he felt bad for the actress when the shots hit the Net. “I usually never remove images I get from hackers or third parties,” he explained. “When you’re a public figure, you’re looking for attention as far as press and media. But in Scarlett’s case, I felt for her.” The photos include one featuring Johansson topless and another of her nude backside. “In this case, Scarlett Johansson’s images were definitely an exception. I actually felt bad,” Richie said, adding, “These images were a little more personal and private. Scarlett doesn’t need to leak photos, she’s pretty established. So this wasn’t a press play. This was someone hacking into her phone, stealing her text messages and leaking them onto the Internet.” Richie said it wasn’t so much the fear of legal action from Johansson’s team that prompted his decision. In fact, in his line of work, cease-and-desist letters are standard business. “When I got the cease-and-desist from [Johansson’s attorney] Marty Singer, I wasn’t really afraid. I’ve gotten cease-and-desists from him before previously with other celebrities,” he said. “It wasn’t Marty that motivated me to take things off the TheDirty.com. It was the more I looked at the images, I really thought they were hacked,” he continued. “I really felt bad for Scarlett Johansson in the situation, so I thought, ‘Let’s take them down, let me be the bigger person for once.’ ” Johansson is reportedly working with the FBI to investigate who hacked her phone and released the photos. Fox News reported that the actress had actually been interviewed by the FBI months ago in connection with the stolen photos. A number of other celebrities have allegedly also been affected by the hacker, including Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez . Photos stolen from Mila Kunis that feature Justin Timberlake are also reportedly floating around. However, that reportedly didn’t stop Timberlake from hanging out with his former “What Goes Around” video co-star Johansson in New York. “They were dancing and talking to each other all night like old friends,” a source tells Life & Style . “People were surprised that she showed up with him, but they both seemed happy to see each other.” The friends were reportedly seen hanging out at New York City hotspot 1Oak on September 15. “He was all smiles with her. Scarlett and Justin left together with two of his friends around 5 a.m. and hopped into a black SUV,” the source added. “You can tell the two are great friends and had a blast together. Scarlett seemed really into him, but he didn’t seem interested because of Jessica Biel. It was like he just considers it a friendship.” Related Photos The Way They Were: Ryan Reynolds And Scarlett Johansson

Taylor Lautner, Lily Collins Faced ‘Abduction’ Challenges Head On

Between kissing and action scenes, Lautner says, ‘One’s a little easier than the other.’ By Kara Warner Taylor Lautner at the “Abduction” premiere Photo: Jeff Kravitz/Film Magic HOLLYWOOD — MTV News has been hot on the case of Taylor Lautner ‘s big action thriller, “Abduction,” ever since it was announced. As such, in recent months, we’ve chatted with Lautner and co-star Lily Collins about everything from the film’s complex and stylized action to its sweet, believable romance, to the actors’ action-star influences and intense prep work. Naturally, much ado has been made of the steamy kisses Lautner and Collins share, as well as how much action and stunt work they do in the film, so on Thursday night, when MTV News headed out to the star-studded premiere, where Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were among the VIP attendees, we asked the leading man and lady to compare and contrast the challenges involved in filming action scenes vs. kissing scenes. “Ooof. Two different kinds of action, right?” Lautner said with a smile. “We’ve got both of them in this movie, that’s for sure. One’s a little easier than the other,” he said, hinting at the kissing scene. “Well, the action scenes, we shot the majority of them in the middle of the night so those were kind of difficult because we were tired,” Collins said. “The kissing scene, everyone was laughing all around us, everyone was making it really fun, but at the same time trying not to laugh in the middle of it, so that was kind of difficult.” “There was a lot of laughing,” Lautner agreed. “We’re good friends, so it was all easy.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Abduction.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Watch the New Trailer for Flypaper: Heist’s Anatomy

Sundance entry Flypaper combines a bunch of people and things we like: Patrick Dempsey, bank heists, the writers of The Hangover , Jeffrey Tambor, one-liners, Rob Huebel, Ashley Judd, a director of The Lion King , and ‘splosions. Seems like a cohesive, yet unexpected marriage of talents. In the trailer from the film — which premieres on demand July 15 before hitting theaters Aug. 19 — we watch a robbery unfold and an unexpected camaraderie arise. I’m already calling Dempsey’s character McStealy.

The Curse of Mel Gibson: Liam Neeson Cut From The Hangover 2

Man, all that time in Thailand for nothing. Director Todd Phillips has revealed that Liam Neeson’s tattoo artist cameo in The Hangover 2 has been cut from the film. No, Zack Galifianakis didn’t organize another protest ; this time the culprit was Clash of the Titans 2 . Neeson was too busy reprising his role as Zeus to join reshoots of his tattoo parlor scene, so actor Nick Cassavettes has filled in for the bit role. I’m sorry if you were hoping for the phone to ring, Mel Gibson. [ E! ]

Yesterday, a pair of photos from the film were Tweeted and then quickly removed by Summit Entertainment. But this is the Internet. Nothing ever truly dies once it has gone live. We’ve gotten our excited hands on the photos, which depict Edward and Bella in bed. In one, the former is grabbing on to the headboard, mid-thrust. In the other, the couple is fast asleep in bed, worn out by a night of vampire lovemaking. Click to enlarge and try not too scream too loudly, fans…

9 Lessons Learned From Lifetime’s The Craigslist Killer

The Lifetime Network — otherwise known as the guilty pleasure center of your cable package — premiered The Craigslist Killer on Monday, its highly-publicized docudrama about the good-looking Boston medical student convicted of murdering masseuses he found on the Internet. Like any good Lifetime film, Killer included a romance, the poorly-acted betrayal of a pretty blond heroine who could not pick up a clue with a forklift, and the subtext that all men — especially the good-looking ones you don’t suspect — are evil. Ahead, I sift through the discarded Kleenex and chocolate wrappers to uncover nine lessons learned from the film.

Arthur Christmas Trailer Would Like You to Start Thinking About Next Christmas

Just as excitement and anxiety for the upcoming holiday approaches its peak, here comes Hollywood with a reminder of the rapidly approaching Christmas 2011. Thanks guys! The teaser for Arthur Christmas plays out like most other recent CGI animation teasers; that is, it’s more of a short film featuring the characters rather than a preview with any footage from the film. But hey, it finds a way to play off everyone’s current fascination with UFO s, which is something. I guess.

Video: Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page Take Crime-Fighting too Far in New Clip from Super

It turns out that we do in fact need another ultra-violent satire of comic book movies. I’m not sure how many people would have argued this before the Toronto Film Festival, but after the buzzed-about midnight premiere of James Gunn’s Super and the immediate sale that followed, it seems like a pretty safe assumption. Now, those of us who aren’t at the festival can get a first look with this new clip from the film.
