It really ain’t safe in some of these clubs. .. Popular Orlando DJ Killed In Nightclub Fight A young DJ lost his life Monday after being stabbed during a nightclub fight. Via MyNews13 : A popular disc jockey was stabbed and killed in a fight at a downtown Orlando nightclub. Since word spread that Jerry Smith, also known as DJ JR died, Twitter and Facebook have been flooded with condolences. The 28-year-old was performing at Tier Nightclub Sunday night. Police said a fight broke out in the VIP section and that’s when Smith was stabbed in the stomach. He then stumbled out into the street. When officers arrived they found Smith lying in the street, bleeding from his stomach. Officers said Smith pointed to Gavin Brown, 35, and said, “he stabbed me. He did it.” A knife was recovered from the scene. Smith was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Brown is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Police said homicide charges are pending. Police said this is still a very active investigation with one piece of the puzzle still a mystery: what the fight was about? The driver of of a truck who fell asleep at the wheel on the New Jersey Turnpike early Saturday morning has been charged with one count of vehicular homicide and four counts of assault by motor vehicle. Kevin Roper, a 35-year old resident of Georgia, plowed into a limo bus carrying Tracy Morgan and multiple other passengers, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed via statement. The resulting accident has left Morgan in critical condition and killed comedian James McNair, one of Morgan’s good friends and mentors. “He’s not in good shape,” Morgan’s ex-wife Sabina Morgan told The Daily News. “I’m traumatized. I’m so upset. I can’t believe it. It’s like I’m in a nightmare.” Bail for Roper has been set at $50,000. The mother of three of Morgan’s children said the 30 Rock actor suffered a broken leg and was lying unconscious at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick this morning. Morgan and his party were returning from a gig in Delaware when a tractor-trailer driving northbound in the center lane cut to the left at the last second to avoid traffic. It collided with Morgan’s limo, which was overturned and which then hit another tractor-trailer; in all, six cars were involved in the fatal mishap. Tracy and another passenger were airlifted from the scene to the hospital. Thoughts and prayers for Morgan have been pouring out via Twitter throughout the day. “Sending prayers to Tracy Morgan and all involved in the accident!! We never know what can happen at anytime!” Diddy wrote, while Russell Simmons added: “Prayers to all of those involved in the car crash this morning. Stay strong Tracy Morgan. We love you.”

Forget breaking news reports. Both CNN and Fox were called out this afternoon by the FBI for broken news reports in claiming that a Boston bombing arrest had been made and authorities had a suspect in custody. Those reports are false. CNN even went so far as to claim a “dark-skinned male” was spotted walking away from the scene in video footage, while Fox News “confirmed” that an arrest had been made. The Associated Press said that a “subject was in custody.” 4Chan, meanwhile, purports to have isolated a suspect on camera . In response to these erroneous assertions making it to air and print, the FBI has released a statement that takes the outlets to task: “Contrary to widespread reporting, no arrest has been made in connection with the Boston Marathon attack. Over the past day and a half, there have been a number of press reports based on information from unofficial sources that has been inaccurate. “Since these stories often have unintended consequences, we ask the media, particularly at this early stage of the investigation, to exercise caution and attempt to verify information through appropriate official channels before reporting.” Somewhere, Aaron Sorkin is writing a killer episode of The Newsroom Season 3 in response to this nonsense.

A bloody cricket bat is now the center of the investigation into the death of Oscar Pistorius’ model girlfriend, according to a newspaper in South Africa. Police are unsure if Reeva Steenkamp used the bat in self-defense or if the Olympic sprinter used it, either by hitting her or breaking down a door. Steenkamp reportedly hid in the bathroom of his home and was shot four times through the door; a report says her skull may have been crushed as well. The City Press , a paper in their native South Africa, quotes a source as saying, “There was lots of blood on the bat. Forensic tests will show whose blood it was.” Pistorius was charged with murder . He is due back in court next week. On top of the cricket bat , another report indicates that the athlete called his good friend, Justin Divaris, in tears after he realized he had shot Reeva Steenkamp to death. “Reeva had been shot,” Oscar said on the phone, allegedly. “I said to him, ‘What are you talking about? I don’t understand you,’” Justin told the paper. “He then repeated himself — ‘There has been a terrible accident, I shot Reeva.’” Justin raced over to Oscar’s home, only to find it blocked off. “It was very traumatic,” he said. “By the time we got there it was already a crime scene and we weren’t allowed in the house. But we could see Reeva through the door lying there.” “[Oscar] was totally incoherent and just kept saying, ‘My baba, I’ve killed my baba. God take me away,’” Justin continued. “It is so sad. I introduced Reeva to Oscar.” “She was a really, really good friend of mine too and actually had been a friend longer … I don’t understand exactly what happened but the truth will come out.”

She wasn’t badly injured, Gaga style, but Rihanna suffered a gash on her knee while partying in London the other night, and a bottle-throwing goon may be to blame. Rihanna, who was in town for London Fashion Week, was hurt when someone threw a bottle in the star’s direction and screamed things at her about Chris Brown. She was departing a club called The Box when someone threw a bottle of Lucozade (a UK energy drink) in her direction. The bottle itself didn’t connect, fortunately. Rihanna scraped her knee during the commotion, however, when she looked to hasten her getaway from the scene and brushed up against a metal grate. Her boyfriend(s) know a thing or two about flying bottles. Speaking of, it was an interesting week for Rihanna and Chris Brown , to say the least. After their Grammy Awards love-fest, they appeared to be back on and stronger than ever. Or … not so fast. The music stars shunned one another just three nights later at Hollywood hot spot Playhouse… after which Chris was threatened by a gang member . Thug life .

The IRS is looking to collect tens of thousands of dollars from income allegedly earned by Britney Spears ‘ former husband – $57,615.39 to be precise. A federal tax lien was filed against the FedEx man February 14 (Happy Valentine’s Day!) claiming he owes $30,517.16 from ’09 and $27,098.23 from ’10.
