Guess old habits die hard… Lindsay Lohan reverted to her wild party girl days on Wednesday night when she reportedly hurled a glass at a photographer who was trying to take her picture and then threw a drink on another snapper later in the evening. The first incident happened at the Top of the Standard hotel during the V magazine party in the Boom Boom Room, according to The NY Post. She reportedly threw a drink at an assigned photographer who was trying to take a picture. The photographer, Jaspin Rischen, later took to Twitter to voice his disgust at the actress’s behavior. Wow. Lindsay Lohan is as trashy as they always say,” he wrote. “She threw drinks and glasses to me as we tried to take a shot for @vmagazine. [bleep]” However a representative for the Mean Girls star, 25, says the incident did not happen. “Lindsay did not throw anything at anyone, plain and simple. Making up stories about Lindsay has become a pastime for many people,” the statement said.
After just the second meeting of the offseason, the NBA players and owners had a meeting that seemed to go nowhere. Yikes. The most recent meeting that took place on Tuesday has both sides basically agreeing that they probably won’t have a deal in place in time to have the season start by its regularly scheduled October beginning. Self-styled “King of All Pimps” Jason Itzler — newly busted on his latest round of escort-service charges — insisted in a bizarre court appearance yesterday that he had procured a female “companion” for a strung-out-on-heroin Billy Ray Cyrus at the Trump International Hotel this summer. The kooky account of a drug-drenched hoedown — which four law-enforcement sources told The Post was an utter hallucination — came as a Manhattan judge suggested Itzler have his head examined and ordered $200,000 bail. “I sent a companion, a non-sexual companion — a baby sitter, not a prostitute — to Billy Ray Cyrus, who was staying at the Trump International Hotel,” Itzler announced in court, when allowed to make a statement. “He made it clear he was not interested in sex,” Itzler said of the country-pop singer, who skyrocketed to fame 20 years ago with the hit “Achy Breaky Heart.” “They decided in front of me to get and use heroin for the first time in their life. He wanted to die!” Itzler claimed. “This is Miley Cyrus’ father, by the way,” Itzler added. The winking Clown Pimp also claimed to Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Thomas Farber that he is a victim of a conspiracy by the Bloomberg administration and Disney to suppress the celebrity overdose. But the account is achy-shaky, said lead prosecutor Eugene Hurley. “Billy Ray Cyrus has nothing to do with this,” the prosecutor said in court. “He’ll be happy to hear that,” deadpanned the judge. Must be nice… According to TMZ reports : A huge development in the Michael Jackson Estate case. The Executors have done so well making money for the Estate since Jackson died, they want to fund the Michael Jackson Trust to the tune of $30 million for the benefit of Katherine Jackson and Michael’s 3 kids. TMZ has obtained court documents in which co-Executors John Branca and John McClain are asking the court’s permission to fund the trust. According to the docs, the Estate generated more than $310 million in gross revenues as of December 31, 2010 — that’s the latest accounting. In addition to funding the trust, the Executors are asking the court’s permission to sell the longtime family home on Hayvenhurst Avenue in Encino, CA. According to the docs, Katherine wants to sell the house and, although no price is mentioned, the property was valued at $4,150,000 when Michael died. The docs say Katherine wants the Estate to purchase another home and she’s eying several properties, but we’re told the home she really wants is the Calabasas house in which she and the kids are currently living. There was $310 million made and you only want to shoot them 30?? We know MJ had debts and $30 mill is no small chunk of change, but get that number up a lil bit playa…
Who knew all that “Gucci” and “Louis Vuitton” could be worth so much?? More than $1 million worth of counterfeit merchandise was seized in a weekend raid at a Cobb County flea market. Forty Marietta police officers uncovered purses, wallets, jewelry and assorted clothing, all believed to be fake versions of designer brands, while executing search warrants Saturday at the Franklin Road market, Officer David Baldwin said. Eight people were arrested and additional arrests are expected, Baldwin said. Several of the businesses in the indoor flea market were operating without a license, and officers found zoning and fire code violations, Baldwin said. “There are quite a few legitimate businesses up and running there,” Baldwin told the AJC. The raid was the result of a months-long investigation into possible illegal activity at the flea market, located at 550 Franklin Road. The Marietta Fire Department and officials with the city’s Code Enforcement and Business License Division also participated in the raid. Rick Perry doesn’t care about burning people… In Texas, firefighters aren’t just battling the wild fires raging around Austin and Houston. The state’s first responders have also had to deal with budget cuts affecting everything from fuel purchases to hoses and oxygen tanks. In some cases, fire officials say, firefighters have had to pay out of pocket for basic necessities like proper protective gear and fuel to get them to the scene. One fire department that battled the blazes in Bastrop County had to pay for a hose, recalled Bastrop City Fire Chief Henry Perry, speaking to The Huffington Post during a break from working the wild fires. “That fire department has been on this fire every day,” he said. “Before this fire, they were having to buy stuff out of their own pocket.” Perry said he knows of at least one other department whose firemen had to pay for equipment maintenance and engine fuel. Earlier this week, HuffPost reported that Gov. Rick Perry, the GOP front-runner for president, had signed off on millions in firefighting cuts as part of the state’s most recent budget legislation. The Texas Forest Service’s funding has gone from $117.7 million in the 2010-2011 budget years to $83 million in the 2012-2013 budget years. Severe cuts have also hit assistance grants to volunteer fire departments throughout Texas. The grants decreased from $30 million per year in 2010 and 2011 to $13.5 million per year in 2012 and 2013. These are cuts that firemen are now dealing with. “I don’t agree with it. I understand what Governor Perry did,” said Henry Perry (no relation). “Do I like it? No. I don’t like it at all.” Guy Turner, the president of the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters, had this to say about Gov. Perry: “For years, public safety was the golden calf — that we were untouchable,” Turner said. “Nobody’s untouchable. It is a shame. They are basically putting a price on how much our lives are worth. It’s disturbing at best.” So the question is, is this the man that we want to run our country???
