By Gil Kaufman Mitt Romney greets supporters in Jacksonville Photo: Joe Raedle/ Getty Images JACKSONVILLE, Florida — One skipped school to be there, another took time out from her college courses and working at her two jobs to drop in, and both liked what they heard from Mitt Romney on Monday (January 30). One day before the primary in the pivotal swing state of Florida , which could finally cement his status as the leader of the pack in the Republican presidential nominating contest , a pumped-up Romney took the stage at a Caterpillar equipment dealership to speak to an enthusiastic crowd. His message of “real hope and change” resonated with Amy Gallogly, 23, a community college student who works at a tax service and an alarm company in the area. “I just really want to see some hope restored in American,” she said after the event wrapped as Romney shook hands and signed autographs while Kid Rock’s “Born Free” blasted from the speakers. “I’m just really pushing for any Republican candidate. … The one reason I really am pushing for Mitt Romney [though] is because I think he’s the one candidate who can beat Obama .” High school senior Tori Reiman, 18, came with her mom, who works in the real-estate business in the state with the nation’s highest foreclosure rate. “I’m kind of over Obama,” she said. “He’s not doing his job. He’s raising the taxes on the richer side of American, which I don’t believe is fair.” Asked why she came out to the event, Reiman said, “I believe in Mitt Romney and I believe in America.” Law student Eric Bast, 24, definitely picked up on Romney’s message of change, saying that he’s energized to participate in his first election. “I want to change it back,” said Bast, who recently registered to vote . Demi Moore 911 Call: Was Rumer Willis There?

By Kara Warner Demi Moore with daughter Rumer Willis Photo: Getty Images Ever since news of Demi Moore’s hospitalization broke, more details have emerged each day to paint a clearer picture of the circumstances that led to the actress’ ambulance ride to the ER on Monday night. Some reports have claimed Moore was inhaling nitrous oxide from aerosol cans, also known as whip-its, the night the 911 call was placed from her home in Los Angeles, the recording and details of which were released Friday (January 27). Several people were heard on the call describing various symptoms the actress was experiencing at the time, as well as a few comments that seemed to indicate that Moore’s friends were just learning of her alleged substance abuse. Photos: Demi Moore through the years. One question that is causing a buzz online is whether Moore’s 23-year-old daughter, Rumer Willis, was present during the ordeal. Careful listening of the 911 call reveals an exchange between one of the callers and someone named “Ru,” who is asked for the specific address and instructions for how the paramedics can get to the house. “Hey, Ru, what’s the name at the gate so that we can buzz them in from here?” a man is heard asking on the call. There has been no confirmation regarding Rumer’s presence at the scene, but she reportedly goes by the “Ru” nickname and references it on her Twitter account. Sources told E! News that Moore’s three daughters are doing fine since their mom’s health scare. Rumer reportedly visited her mother several times at the hospital before she was discharged earlier this week . Tallulah, 17, is with her dad, Bruce Willis. “She’s doing great,” the source said. “Her grandmother [Bruce’s mom] is also there with her.” Moore’s other daughter, 20-year-old Scout, goes to Brown University in Rhode Island and reportedly hasn’t been home since the incident.

Demi Moore 911 Call: ‘She’s Been Having Some Issues’

‘She’s shaking, convulsing, burning up,’ one caller says the night of Moore’s hospitalization. By Jocelyn Vena Demi Moore Photo: Jason Kempin/ Getty Images In the 911 call made the night of Demi Moore’s hospitalization , a female caller is heard describing the events that led to the actress’ Monday health scare. Describing Moore’s condition as “semiconscious, barely,” the caller told the 911 operator, “She smoked something. It’s not marijuana, but it’s similar to it. It’s similar to incense. She seems to be having convulsions of some sort.” The first caller then passed the phone to another woman, who added, “She’s shaking, convulsing, burning up. I’m taking cold water and putting it on her back because she’s burning up. I don’t know what would have made her do it.” Demi’s hospitalization has soon-to-be ex-husband Ashton Kutcher “deeply concerned.” There appeared to be several other people present at the time of the call, as they all frantically tried to keep the actress afloat. When asked if it was common for Moore to react in this way, one caller said, “There has been some stuff recently that we’re just finding out.” Another caller added: “She’s been having some issues lately with some other stuff, so I don’t know what she’s been taking or not.” As the seven-minute phone call wrapped up, the paramedics arrived to the residence. On Tuesday, Moore’s rep said she had been hospitalized due to “exhaustion”; however, there has been speculation that she had been inhaling nitrous oxide at the time of the incident. Moore’s health scare caps a rough patch for the actress. Sources told E! News that her three daughters are doing fine. With so many films making their premieres at Sundance, it can be difficult to keep track of which ones you need to be paying attention to and looking out for later this year. To help you out, we’ve rounded up the five films that are coming out of Park City with the biggest buzz. Here is our list of the five most talked-about Sundance films. “The Surrogate” With Oscar nominations being announced Tuesday, looking forward to the 2013 Oscar nominees may seem a little premature. That hasn’t stopped festival attendees from heralding the performances from John Hawkes , Helen Hunt and William H. Macy and predicting Academy Award nominations come next January. In the film, Hawkes plays Mark, a man in an iron lung. Demi Moore’s Hospitalization: More Details Emerge

TMZ reports that whip-its were behind actress’ health scare, while People says friends have been worried about Moore for a while. By Katie Byrne Demi Moore Photo: Jason Kempin/ Getty Images While the many reported reasons for Demi Moore’s recent hospitalization have varied from exhaustion to substance abuse, TMZ is now saying nitrous oxide was behind the health scare. According to the website, friends who were on the scene the night of the hospitalization told EMTs the actress was inhaling nitrous oxide from aerosol cans — also known as whip-its — before 911 was called. TMZ’s sources said the actress was exhibiting seizure-like symptoms after inhaling the nitrous. Demi’s hospitalization caps a rough patch for the actress. People magazine also talked to sources close to Moore, who said they’ve been worried about their friend for quite some time. “Really, it was over the last year her friends saw a change,” one source said about her split from husband Ashton Kutcher. “She wasn’t sleeping as well, didn’t seem to be eating and looked really gaunt.” Another source told the mag that Moore’s recent prescription-drug abuse was a factor in the end of her marriage. “It was a sticking point for Ashton,” the source said. “He wanted her to take care of herself and get a hold of things, and she wouldn’t.” Check out photos of Demi and Ashton from happier times. Moore endured a very public and emotional split from Kutcher back in November, publicly announcing the breakup with “sadness and a heavy heart” after months of not-so-quiet rumblings that her husband had been unfaithful. Justin Bieber Makes ‘Huge Impact’ On Organ Donor Registrations

So when a fan of his reached out to him on Twitter to help spread the word about organ and blood donation, one particular bank quickly saw more and more people in the giving spirit. Belieber Helene Campbell, 20, tweeted the teen star last week about her own struggles (including how she herself needs a lung transplant). Bieber then began tweeting to her and about her, shedding more light on the cause than the fan could have ever anticipated. In the days since the online correspondence, the Ontario-based Trillium Gift of Life Network has seen donations skyrocket to more than 1,200 people, four times the amount the network usually receives. In part it had a lot to do with Bieber, but also the campaign started by Campbell, who suffers from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. “Helene has done an incredible job inspiring and motivating Ontarians to register their consent to organ and tissue donation. On an average day we would expect about 50 new online registrations,” President and CEO Ronnie Gavsie said in a statement on Wednesday (January 25). “Since Helene’s campaign began last Thursday, the average has been closer to 200 per day! There are over 1,500 people in Ontario waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant, on behalf of all them and Trillium Gift of Life Network, thank you Helene and thank you Justin Bieber!” Shortly after his initial tweet, she shared with him, “@justinbieber you have made a huge impact, not only on my life, but for many others in need of the gift of life now and in the future!” His response: “@alungstory glad to be able to help. best part of what i do.” Bieber’s other charity work includes his Believe Charity Drive as well as his participation with the Pencils of Promise foundation . Last year, the Kansas City, Missouri, spitter ran through an astounding 82 shows in 85 days , and now Tech Nina is looking to outdo himself when he embarks on his Hostile Takeover 2012 Tour in March. The MC is promising 90 shows in 99 days. “I started planting the seeds for this music thing to expand more than 10 years ago and to see it be recognized globally like this is a beautiful thing,” Tech Nina told XXLMag.com . “We started Strange Music so we could make the music we wanted to make and tour like we wanted to tour. Now, to be able to make history like this is a wonderful accomplishment.” Tech will be bringing MTV’s 2011 Hottest Breakthrough MC Machine Gun Kelly , Krizz Kaliko, Mayday, Stevie Stone and Prozak on the road with him for planned stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Las Vegas. “It’s a world-record-setting tour for hip-hop. I think it’s a beautiful thing for all the ragers,” Machine Gun Kelly said in a promotional video on XXL ‘s website. The energetic Tech delivers a headlining set that usually lasts about two hours, and that kind of performance takes a lot of preparation. Before his All 6’s and 7’s Tour last year, the Strange Music CEO talked to MTV News about what it takes to get into tour shape. “You gotta take your Syntha-6 protein shakes, you gotta drink those, you gotta eat right. You gotta eat every two hours. You gotta try to get up to six times a day; I haven’t even got up to four,” Tech Nina told MTV News last June. “I have been workin’ out with [a personal trainer] for like four months. ‘X Factor’ Finalist Chris Rene Signs To Epic

 third-place finisher Chris Rene has signed a deal with Epic Records, where he will be reunited with his “Factor” mentor, Epic boss L.A. Reid. “I’ve dreamt about this moment my whole life,” Rene told Entertainment Weekly . “And now its here. Working with L.A. Reid — ‘Big Homie’ — is a dream come true; he’s a great man.” Rene will be label mates with another “Factor” finalist, fourth-placer Astro, 
 the teenage rapper who revealed to MTV News on Tuesday that he would also be teaming with Reid at Epic. Rene was one of the breakout stars in the first season of “Factor,” winning both hearts and minds with his falsetto singing/laconic rapping and a compelling backstory that followed his rise from crippling drug addiction to a near-win on the Simon Cowell-created show. The singer carved a new path in the suddenly crowded reality singing competition world by honestly detailing his drug struggles and performing two original songs during the show’s run. Just 70 days sober when he came in for his first audition, Rene charmed the judges, who agreed to let him continue in the competition as long as he promised to keep on the straight and narrow. As the season unfolded, viewers learned that his sister Gina — who also tried out for the show — was also a musician who had landed songs on the a number of soundtracks, including 2004’s “Mean Girls.” One of the high points of Rene’s run on the show was during Michael Jackson week, when he shared the story of how his grandfather, Leon Rene, wrote the Jackson 5 hit “Rockin’ Robin” and stared the first black-owned R&B label on the West Coast.

Teenage MC will be on today’s ‘RapFix Live’ at 4 p.m. on MTV.com to discuss his new deal with Epic Records. By Rob Markman Astro Photo: Getty Images Astro might not have taken home top honors on “X Factor,” but the 15-year-old Brooklyn MC scored a huge win nonetheless. MTV News has exclusively learned that the Astronomical Kid signed a deal with “X Factor” mentor L.A. Reid over at Epic Records. The young rap phenom will appear on today’s “RapFix Live” to formally announce the deal in detail. After the teenage rapper was sent home during the show’s December 1 episode, rumors began to swirl about where he would end up. Reports that ‘Stro would sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation hit the Web early, but in an interview with MTV News, the pint-size MC quickly shot that notion down. “I have never met anyone from Roc Nation. I’d love to, but I’m not signed right now to anyone,” he said during a December 5 interview. “Nobody ever hit me up about that — just go on the Internet and it’s up there. But I’m not signed, as far as I know.” Though Hov is one of his favorite rappers, the Brooklyn whiz kid wasn’t necessarily looking to sign based off star power alone. “I just want to be in a place where I’m comfortable 100 percent. I just want to be able to release my music, do my movies, [and] everything is fair,” he told MTV News of his dream deal. “I just want to be able to have fun doing it. I don’t want music to be a job for me; I want it to be something I’m doing for fun. As long it’s not a job, then you’re straight.” It seems that Reid has provided the youngster with everything he was looking for.
