Jessa Duggar: Dating Ben Seewald, Saving First Kiss For Marriage

Jessa Duggar, the 20-year-old daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, is currently in a courtship with 18-year-old Ben Seewald, according to reports. The lovebirds, who met in church, are “enjoying getting to know each other and are recommending sermons to one another,” Jim Bob tells People . He and his wife are “so excited” for Jessa and Ben. As for the difference between courting and dating? Jim Bob explains that courting is much more formal process, which often takes place in a larger group, whereas dating is more of a one-on-one thing: “Courting is getting to know each other in a group setting, both families spending time together and the couple setting goals together to determine if they are meant to marry.” And then there’s the rub you might have expected: “With dating, a couple will often pair off alone and that sometimes leads to a more physical relationship.” Mother Michelle Duggar also adds that courting is a serious process, where a couple puts deep considering into the notion of starting a family together: “Courtship is not just about having fun. You are really considering if this person could be your life partner … you pray about it and see what happens.” After the couple initial met, they asked their parents for permission to correspond via text and on the phone, and while the Duggars agreed, the pair has little privacy. Jim Bob and Michelle are a part of the duo’s texting conversation. “Jessa has a very steady personality,” Michelle says of her third daughter. “It has been interesting to watch their interactions because for her personality type.” “They share very similar beliefs. It has been fun to watch them and both of our phones are going off back and forth, ping, ping, ping.” They still plan to wait before becoming intimate with one another, too. “Dad allowed them to do a side hug when they were officially courting,” the 47-year-old mother reveals. “Jessa and Ben have said that was the only contact they would have.” “When they initially greet each other, when he comes to visit for their first hello, they have a quick 30 second or less side hug and a goodbye side hug.” “They want to wait on the physical relationship until later,” she adds. “If there is an engagement that comes about, they will work together on their goals and standards for that. All of our family is involved in this relationship. It is an exciting time.” That’s one word for it …

Rhonda Lee Fired For Defending Hair on Facebook, Meteorologist’s Fans Lash Out

Louisiana meteorologist Rhonda Lee defended her short hair after being insulted on Facebook, only to be fired … and receive a groundswell of support online. A viewer took Lee, of Shreveport’s KTBS, to task October 1 for having short hair, rather than for any job-related issues. Lee, 37, responded in the comments. Instead of backing her up or deleting the offensive post, however, the network fired Lee , saying she had violated the company’s unofficial social media policy. Now, her fans are furious. Nearly 1,000 people have signed a petition asking that KTBS rehire Lee, saying she was victimized twice, once by the viewer “and again by KTBS.” “Rhonda Lee deserves to have her job back,” the petition reads. “Her eloquent response to the bigoted and sexist remarks of viewer Emmitt Vascocu were warranted.” “Employers such as KTBS-TV should stand by their employees and on-air talent whenever they are verbally attacked based on their looks, values or merit.” “I would never have dreamed in a million years that I would get all this support,” Lee told the Daily News. “It’s been a tough go at first to not be angry. But mostly I’m just sad. I genuinely loved where I worked. I loved my viewers. I made my home here.” For its part, KTBS says Lee “was not dismissed for her appearance or defending her appearance” but rather for the repeated violation of the company policy. “Unfortunately, television personalities have long been subject to harsh criticism and negative viewer comments about their appearance and performance,” the ABC affiliate said. “If harsh viewer comments are posted, there is a specific procedure to follow.” Rhonda Lee, however, says she never saw the policy in question, and that when she asked for it following her termination, higher-ups told her no. KTBS, on the other hand, says Lee received an email outlining the procedure, which states that it is “best not to respond at all” to viewer complaints. What did Lee write, and in response to what, exactly? “The black lady that does the news is a very nice lady. the onlt [sic] thing is she needs to wear a wig or grow some more hair,” wrote Emmitt Vascocu on October 1. “im not sure if she is a cancer patient. but its not something that i think looks good on tv.” Days later, when KTBS still hadn’t respond to the Facebook post on its page, Lee did. “Hello Emmitt I am the “black lady” to which you are referring. My name is Rhonda Lee. Nice to meet you,” she wrote on October 6, in the comments. “I am sorry you don’t like my ethnic hair. And no I don’t have cancer.” “I am very proud of my African-American ancestry which includes my hair. For your edification: traditionally our hair doesn’t grow downward. It grows upward.” “Many Black women use strong straightening agents in order to achieve a more European grade of hair and that is their choice. However in my case I don’t find it necessary.” “I’m very proud of who I am and the standard of beauty I display. As women we come in all shapes, sizes, nationalities, and levels of beauty.” “Showing little girls that being comfortable in the skin and HAIR God gave me is my contribution to society,” the TV personality concluded. “Little girls (and boys for that matter) growing up in this world need to see that what you look like isn’t a reason to not achieve their goals.”

The teens will not be asked to weigh in on camera and they will train predominately at home. They will also not be up for elimination. What You Know About It?: The Black Italian “Super” Mario Balotelli Does It Again With Finishing Laser In 2-1 Victory Over Germany! [Video]

Amazing Goal Balotelli vs Germany – All Goals & Highlights 28-6-2012 (His first goal) (His second… to put the Germans away) Super Mario is our boy, despite only going out with white women: Italy extended their remarkable stranglehold on Germany when two superb first-half goals by Mario Balotelli gave them a 2-1 win in an excellent Euro 2012 semi-final and a place in the final against Spain. Balotelli connected with a curling Antonio Cassano cross to head the opener after 20 minutes then ran on to a long Riccardo Montolivo pass before lashing in an unstoppable second after 36 as the Italians took full advantage of some loose defending. Three times champions Germany, who had never beaten Italy in their seven previous major tournament meetings, rallied late in the game and Mesut Ozil converted a penalty in added time after Federico Balzaretti had handled in the area but it came too late. Germany had earlier gone close when Gianluigi Buffon touched a Marco Reus free kick onto the bar after 62 minutes and had a deflected Mats Hummels shot cleared off the line in the early stages. But Italy grew in confidence and could have added a third goal when Claudio Marchisio twice shot just wide. The final against holders and world champions Spain in Kiev is a rematch of the teams’ group meeting that finished 1-1. youtube Source

Your Divorce Of The Day: WWE’s John Cena Files For Divorce And Wife Wants To Clean Him Out!

John Cena Files For Divorce Cena might be the next Hulk Hogan for real this time. Tampa resident and WWE superstar John Cena has filed for divorce from his high school sweetheart and wife of only 3 years, Liz Huberdeau, saying the marriage is “irretrevably broken.” The soon-to-be-ex-Mrs.Cena has armed herself with powerful Miami attorney Raymond Rafool, best known for going head to head with Hulk Hogan in his nasty divorce battle against ex-wife Linda. In that case, Rafool allegedly took Hogan for 70% of his assets. Huberdeau hopes for something similar, but it’s not going to be easy. Cena, worth over $18 million, has a 2009 prenup that is said to include the ability to take back all gifts and presents. That stipulation has forced the soon-to-be-ex to hire Rafool, who told us “Although it is indeed unfortunate that John Cena decided to divorce his high school sweetheart Liz Cena; particularly, after they have come so far in their lives and in his career together, Liz will and really has no choice but to pursue all of her rights and entitlements. Although Mr. Cena pushes a prenuptial agreement and that the parties have only been married for approximately 3 years, Liz Cena has always supported John Cena, even when no one else did, and stood behind him and pushed him forward to achieve their goals for the last 14 years. Sadly, divorce is not the way Liz thought her perfect love story would end.” Another insider warns that this isn’t going to be pretty, saying “This is going to dwarf the Hogan divorce in nastiness.” Yikes. She got Hulk Hogan’s ex-wife’s attorney? This is going to be the most hard-fought match of Cena’s career. But it’s cold-blooded that the prenup said he could take back any gifts if they divorced. That’s just overkill. Source

Andre 3000 To Play Jimi Hendrix In Biopic?

Outkast rapper will play legendary ax man, according to an online report. By Kara Warner Andre 3000 Photo: Johnny Nunez/WireImage The much-discussed yet long-delayed Jimi Hendrix biopic looks to be finally moving forward with a credible star attached: none other than Outkast’s Andre Benjamin . According to a report from the Irish Film and Television Network published on Monday (May 7), the Outkast rapper has been tapped to play the legendary ax man in an upcoming biopic titled “All Is by My Side.” Set during Hendrix’s time in England between 1966 and 1967, the film follows the icon as he began work on his debut, Are You Experienced, an album widely regarded by critics to feature some of the greatest guitar music ever created. The feature film will be written and directed by John Ridley, whose previous work includes the screenplays for “Red Tails” and “U-Turn,” as well as story credit on David O. Russell’s “Three Kings.” Although he’s more well-known for his contributions to music as part of the Grammy-winning hip-hop duo, Benjamin (a.k.a. Andre 3000) has had roles in several movies, including “Semi-Pro,” “Idlewild” and “Four Brothers,” and appeared on the FX TV series “The Shield.” “Considering his just-passable acting in ‘Idlewild,’ the jury’s still out on whether Andre can carry a movie on his own,” offered MTV News senior writer Gil Kaufman. “But given his virtual retirement from music since that movie’s release — ‘Semi-Pro’ was a small step in the right direction — and word that he’s been taking acting lessons, the Hendrix movie could do for him what ‘Dreamgirls’ did for Jennifer Hudson. “Andre has the musical chops, the artistic sensibility and a devotion to his craft that makes me think he wouldn’t take on this iconic role without knowing that he had something deep to offer,” Kaufman continued. “Plus, as he’s proven over and over with his many note-perfect, bulls-eye features on songs since he stopped recording his own albums, when he shoots, he shoots to kill.” MTV News reached out to Benjamin’s representatives about the report but had not received comment at press time. “All Is by My Side,” not to be confused with Legendary Pictures’ onetime plans to make a Hendrix biopic , is reportedly in pre-production with principal photography set to begin in three weeks in Dublin and Wicklow. Meek Mill Keeps Chasing The Dream On New Mixtape

‘I’m just giving everybody my view of how I’m living,’ Milly tells Mixtape Daily of just-released Dream Chasers 2. By Rob Markman, with reporting by James Lacsina Meek Mill Photo: MTV News Mixtape Daily Main Pick Headliners : Meek Mill And DJ Drama Representing : Philadelphia, PA Mixtape : Dream Chasers 2 Real Spit : Hard to imagine that anyone is still sleeping on Meek Mill these days, but don’t think for a second that all his rap popularity came overnight. Meek made his name battling on the streets of his native Philadelphia, proved his in-studio worth with an impressive string of mixtapes, then Rick Ross came knocking in 2011, Maybach Music deal in hand. Some would say Meek Mill is living his dream, but if you let the Philly flame-spitter tell it, he’s still chasing it. On Monday (May 7), Meek dropped Dream Chasers 2, the follow-up to last year’s critically acclaimed mixtape . “My city lacks dream chasers,” Meek Milly told Mixtape Daily. “It’s motivational, inspiring, my story, but this time, I’m just more loose with it. I’ve been seeing more things, been around the world a little bit more.” Though the MMG young gun has grown as an MC, the music on DC2 is just as edgy as its predecessor. On the tape’s intro, Meek sets an aggressive tone, spitting, “I got 30 racks in my pocket, I keep 30 shots in my clip/ I get 30 racks for my verses, y’all ain’t gettin’ paper like this.” On the aggressively paced “Flexing,” Meek once again links with “I’ma Boss” producer Jahlil Beats, and on “Everyday,” he rides with his MMG boss Rick Ross over a menacing sound bed. While hard-granite rap is his strong point, Milly is no one-trick pony; he does venture out of the streets from time to time. For “Ready or Not,” producer All Star conjures a beat based off the popular 1996 Fugees song of the same name. The subdued instrumental allows the young MC the space to get introspective. “It’s a dark cloud over me, money took control of me/ I’m barely getting time to see my son and that sh– hurtin’ me/ Baby mama trippin’, I tell her to work with me/ I’m on probation, still strapped, ’cause n—as wanna murder me.” “Use to Be” shows even more vulnerability. Over what sounds like a muted heartbeat with soft piano keys laid atop, the promising rap product opens up even more about his demons. “When I was young, I started plannin’ it out/ My daddy got killed, I was the man of the house/ By the age of 16, man them hammers was out/ So when n—as tried to hit me, I’m just handin’ ’em out.” “I’m just giving everybody my view of how I’m living and relating to other people’s stories and bringing the part of the game that I need to bring to the game,” Meek said of his intentions when recording the tape. On Dream Chasers 2, Meek Mill surely serves his underground base but proves that he has a knack for making big records as well. It’s a safe bet that “Amen” featuring Drake and Jeremih will become a radio mainstay at least until August 28, when he drops his debut album, Dreams and Nightmares. Still, there is no one record that can define Meek’s latest work, and even if he’s accomplished some of his goals, we’re quite confident he’d just dream up a few more. Joints to Check For

Lil Wayne’s Deal ‘Biggest In Urban Music,’ Birdman Says

‘YMCMB start and stop with Wayne; it ain’t no YMCMB without Wayne,’ Birdman tells MTV News. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Lil Wayne Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images When Lil Wayne first signed with Cash Money Records as a pre-teen, he wasn’t the label’s biggest star, but these days, it’s impossible to imagine the premier rap label without Tunechi. With his most-recent deal, fans won’t have to fathom that possibility. A few weeks back, Weezy announced on MTV’s “Hip Hop POV” that he re-signed with Cash Money for a four-album deal, and since then, rumors have begun to surface that Birdman put up $150 million to retain Wayne’s recording rights. “YMCMB start and stop with Wayne; it ain’t no YMCMB without Wayne,” Birdman told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway on Monday night while DJ Khaled was shooting his “Take It to the Head” video in L.A. On “POV,” Wayne said, “Everybody knows I came into the game at 11 years old with Cash Money Records, before we even had a major deal. We signed a deal in I don’t remember when, and I been with Cash Money ever since. So, if you’re looking for integrity, I am the definition. If you’re looking for a person that’s gonna stay down, I am the definition. If you’re looking for loyalty, I am just that.” Birdman wouldn’t confirm the exact figures in the deal, but he made it clear that when it comes to Wayne, who he considers a son, the sky is the limit. “The type of situation we did never been done in urban music; it’s probably the biggest deal ever in urban music,” he said. “I’m blessed to even do that — whatever my son want, he can get. It’s all his anyway, so it don’t really matter to me.” With Weezy as the flagship, the #1 Stunna hopes to grow his Cash Money/Young Money company into a billion-dollar brand. “That’s one of our goals, and the move we just made was a big move to that, to make sure the pioneer of it, which is Wayne,” he said. Tunechi’s next album will be I Am Not a Human Being II , and the new deal ensures that it won’t be his last. Baby is no doubt proud to continue doing business with Birdman Jr., but let him tell it, and it’s more than business: “This is for life,” he said. Are you looking forward to Lil Wayne’s next album?
