Golden Globe Fashion Face-Off: Megan Fox vs. Olivia Wilde

Megan Fox once said Olivia Wilde was “so sexy, she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox .” Fortunately, despite these actresses both appearing at last night’s Golden Globe Awards , no animals were harmed. But the jaws of men everywhere might be sore today, after crashing to the floor following the sight of two such beauties at the same place. Neither took home a trophy, but we have a feeling either could go home with anyone they wanted to overall. Which star looked the most stunning on the red carpet? That’s up to you to decide.

Lea Michele ‘Excited’ For Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘Glee’ Return

Starlet also reveals to MTV News on Golden Globes red carpet that ‘the boys’ will belt the Bieber tunes on upcoming episode. By Mawuse Ziegbe Lea Michele Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images Gwyneth Paltrow’s “Glee” guest spot was so memorable that the Oscar-winning “Country Strong” star will be heading back to the show for a second go-around. This time, she and “Glee” faculty heartthrob Matthew Morrison will be heating things up with a romantic story line. Aside from the dating arc with Mr. Schuester, details about how Paltrow will once again shake things up as sassy substitute Holly Holliday remain scant — even “Glee” star Lea Michele is in the dark about her possible scenes with the superstar actress. When MTV News caught up with the singer/actress on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday (January 16), she admitted that she didn’t know much about Paltrow’s return but maintained, “I’m excited. Anything with Gwyneth is great.” In addition to Paltrow, superstar Justin Bieber is set to be incorporated into the hit show soon, as the show is slated to take on some of the pop star’s peppy catalog. But when it comes to the Biebs, Michele divulged that she won’t be belting any of the teen idol’s tunes, and said everything will be left up to the “Glee” guys. “I’m not [singing Justin Bieber], but the boys are,” Michele dished. While Michele was short on “Glee” details, show co-creator Ryan Murphy recently revealed how Bieber would fit into in the hit series, batting away rumors that an all-Bieber episode was in the works. “Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogs,” Murphy explained of why they won’t dedicate an entire episode to the teen sensation’s smashes. “Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam [Chord Overstreet] sings a JB song to win Quinn’s [Dianna Agron] approval. Are you excited to catch Justin Bieber’s music and Gwyneth Paltrow’s return on “Glee”? Let us know in the comments! Golden Globes Presenter Michael Douglas Gets Standing Ovation

‘There’s got to be an easier way,’ Best Actor nominee and cancer survivor jokes of warm reception at Sunday’s show. By Jocelyn Vena Michael Douglas receives a standing ovation at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards Photo: NBC/ HFPA Michael Douglas took the stage on Sunday night (January 16) to present the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Drama. Looking healthy and happy as wife Catherina Zeta-Jones looked on from the audience, the Golden Globe nominee made light of his recent battle with throat cancer. “There’s got to be an easier way to get a standing ovation,” Douglas joked about his warm reception. “Thank you all very much. I’m really very, very happy to be here tonight,” he added. Douglas went on to announce the winner in the category, David Fincher’s Facebook tale “The Social Network,” which took the prize over “Black Swan,” “The King’s Speech,” “Inception” and “The Fighter.” Earlier in the night, Douglas lost for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture to Christian Bale (“The Fighter”). He was nominated for reprising his role as Gordon Gekko in “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.” But in spite of the loss, it was a triumphant return for the Hollywood A-lister who recently underwent cancer treatment and just this past week announced on the “Today” show that he’s now cancer-free . “I think the odds are with the tumor gone and what I know about this particular type of cancer, that I’ve got it beat,” Douglas told host Matt Lauer, about six months after he first publicly revealed he had the disease. “I have to check out on a monthly basis now to maintain. I guess there’s not a total euphoria. I’ll probably take a couple of months of getting checked out. But it’s been a wild six-month ride.” We’ve got the Golden Globes covered! ‘Glee’ Wins Big At Golden Globes

Musical show takes home Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical, plus two acting awards. By Aly Semigran he cast of “Glee” backstage at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards Photo: Steve Granitz/ WireImage For the second year in a row, “Glee” has had something to sing about at the Golden Globes. Fox’s pop-culture smash has emerged victorious yet again in the Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical category. In addition to besting the hit shows “Modern Family,” “Nurse Jackie,” “The Big C,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “30 Rock,” two of the show’s stars have taken home their first Golden Globe awards. While the show did not sweep — both Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison lost in their categories — it did win more awards than any other television show at the 68th annual Golden Globes. Stunned first-time nominee Chris Colfer kicked things off for “Glee” with his heartfelt speech, which he dedicated to his “fairy godfather Ryan Murphy” and to teens who, much like his character Kurt, are bullied. “The amazing kids that watch our show and that our show celebrates and are constantly told no [by] people and environments and bullies at school, that they can’t be who they are or can’t have what they want because of who they are,” he said, concluding his acceptance speech with, “Screw that, kids.” Next up was Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television winner Jane Lynch. The actress, who has now won a Golden Globe, Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award for her work on the show, had lost to “Big Love” actress Chlo

‘Glee’ Star Chris Colfer Dedicates Golden Globe To Bullied Kids

‘Screw that, kids,’ Colfer says to anyone who doesn’t feel like they can be who they are. By Jocelyn Vena Chris Colfer Photo: NBC/HFPA When Chris Colfer took the stage at the Golden Globes on Sunday night to accept his prize for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, he had a major statement for anyone feeling like they don’t fit in. But, first, he made sure to thank the people who helped bring him to his Golden Globes win. “I think I just dropped my heart between Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore, so if anyone sees that, please give that back to me,” he joked to the room, filled with Hollywood’s biggest names, as well as his “Glee” co-star Lea Michele, who cried as he accepted his award. “I can’t believe this. Thank you so much, Hollywood Foreign Press. I have to thank [show creator] Ryan Murphy for basically being my fairy godfather. Everybody at Fox, our amazing crew, who keep us sane and our very talented cast — you guys deserve this as much as I do.” Then Colfer, who plays Kurt on the hot Fox show, set to return with new episodes next month, had a message for bullied kids everywhere. “But mostly importantly [a thank you] to all the amazing kids that watch our show and that our show celebrates and are constantly told ‘no’ [by] people and environments and bullies at school, that they can’t be who they are or can’t have what they want because of who they are,” he excitedly told the room, adding, “Screw that, kids.” This is the first Golden Globe for Colfer. He beat out Scott Caan, Chris Noth, Eric Stonestreet and David Strathairn, who were also nominated in the category. We’ve got the Golden Globes covered!
