Forbes has released its annual rankings of the highest-paid women on television. And let's just say it pays to be funny. A LOT. Via data collected between June 1, 2015 and June 1, 2016, the magazine has confirmed that the three actresses who banked the most bucks during that time period all star on popular comedies. Not that the seven other stars listed below fared very poorly, of course. Ready to count down from #10 to #1? Let's do this… 10. Julie Bowen – $10 Million Julie Bowen, of course, stars as Claire Dunphy on Modern Family. 9. Julianna Margulies – $10.5 Million The Good Wife star is now unemployed. Who wants to write her next huge paycheck? 8. Priyanka Chopra – $11 Million Not too shabby for an actress with just one season of a hit show (Quantico) on her resume. 7. Stana Katic – $12 Million No wonder Stana Katic was pissed over basically getting fired from Castle. She made a lot of money! 6. Kerry Washington – $13.5 Million Who knew you could make so much money just by burying scandals and secrets in DC? 5. Ellen Pompeo – $14.5 Million Heck, she could probably ask for anything she wants at this point. She IS Grey’s Anatomy. View Slideshow

That was quite a way to welcome viewers back, huh? On Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 9 , Meredith got attacked, Violently. Brutally. Within an inch of her life. Watch Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 9 Online It was the latest example of Shonda Rhimes trying to shock viewers and the 27th time (unofficially) that Meredith has been on the verge of death. But even if we know Shonda’s games, and even if we knew Meredith was not going to die, that doesn’t mean the episode (directed by Denzel Washington!) didn’t pack quite the punch. It started with Meredith trying to get a patient back into bed… only for him to completely snap. In the aftermath of the assault, we witnessed Meredith whimpering on the floor until Penny found her limp body and nearly all of Meredith’s friends at work gathered in one room to revive her. She could not talk. She had a dislocated elbow. She suffered multiple blows to the head and and she needed a chest tube and Alex was a crying mess and, let’s be honest, so were we. View Slideshow: 24 Heartbreaking Shondaland Deaths… Ranked! Due to the injury to her ears, Meredith couldn’t hear. For seven full minutes, Grey’s Anatomy did not air a single line of dialogue. We watched as Meredith did all she could do: watch those around her After weeks of being laid up like this, Alex arrived and lay down next to his friends. He cried, and when Meredith could hear him cry, she started to cry, too. And laugh. She still had to have her jaw wired shut and she could only hear through one hear and then she had a panic attack when her kids were too scared to hug her… … but still. At least she was on the mend. Webber then gave Meredith a speech about how she needs to forgive Amelia and also to forgive Derek for being dead. Once she finally could speak again, she told Alex to go be with Jo. It was okay. He could have more than one “person.” She had “her own damn village” after all. So that was the message we were left with heading into Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 10 . Was it manipulative? Classic Shonda Rhimes? Absolutely. But go watch Grey’s Anatomy online . It was also extremely well done.

No offense to these TV shows, and their fans, but the time has come. They've had their run, and in many cases that run was as successful as it was long. Even enjoyable, acclaimed by critics and fans alike. But no longer, people. These programs really need to get canceled … 1. Grey’s Anatomy It’s been an amazing run for the show that put Shonda Rhimes on the map. But a plane crash, a hospital shooter and an earthquake later, there’s just nowhere else for this show to go. Nearly all original cast members have departed. Grey’s Anatomy should say goodbye before it soars too high over the shark. 2. Homeland Homeland basically died along with Nicholas Brody. It’s just a watered down version of what it once was now. 3. 2 Broke Girls This show is just racist. 4. Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD It turns out that a Marvel universe without superheroes just isn’t all that exciting. 5. Keeping Up with the Kardashians Just… please… make… it… stop. 6. The Bachelorette Once producers resort to the gimmick of TWO Bachelorettes basically pulling each other’s hair out and possibly offering the guys sexual favors in order to earn the honor of being voted the sole Bachelorette… we’re pretty sure it’s time to move on. A Penny for your thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 6 , fans? Get it? A Penny? In honor of Derek’s quasi killer? Nothing? Crickets? Okay, moving on to a recap… Watch Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 6 Online Meredith (and Amelia) opened the hour by being less than pleased that Penny was about to start working at Grey Sloan. And it didn’t help matter when (wouldn’t you know it?!?) Bailty assigned the transfer student to the service of the General Surgery Chief. As Julia Roberts might have someday side: Big mistake. HUGE. Despite the comedic material present in a case that centered on a pastor who fell down the stairs after mistakenly sending his sex tape to his congregation, Meredith didn’t even crack a smile when Penny made a joke. She told Amelia that she was trying to “rise above,” but she wasn’t exactly succeeding. It didn’t help when Penny later messed up a bit and when Richard admitted he knew her connection to Derek; she was just the best hire. After Penny placed the pastor’s life in danger through a mistake, Meredith finally snapped: “You froze in the OR, you screwed up his post-op care… Is there any part of this job that you can handle?!?” View Slideshow: 18 SHOCKING Shondaland Moments Later on, however, Callie gave Meredith a talking-to about being a “bully,” prompting Meredith to enter a chapel and talk to Derek. (With Alex showing up to offer support.) At the end of the episode, Meredith acknowledged that Derek likely would have been a fan of Penny; Callie swapped spit with her girlfriend; and Meredith paged to say she wants Penny on her service for the duration of the week. Elsewhere, Martin Henderson made his debut as Nathan Riggs, a cardiothoracic surgeon who met April overseas. He got in the middle of a fight between April and Jackson over a patient (“This isn’t about you two!”), only for viewers to later learn that he and Owen share some kind of unfriendly past. How do we know? Because Owen ordered the new doctor to get the Hell out of the hospital as quickly as possible. Based on the following preview for Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 7 , it sure looks like this rivalry will continue to play a key role next Thursday night: Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 7 Trailer Check out the above teaser and ask yourself: How is there only one episode remaining until the winter finale?!?!?!?!?
A new Nazi regime got underway on Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 2. Hmmm… perhaps we ought to phrase that differently: Miranda Bailey worked her first day as Chief of Surgery on Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 2 . There. That’s better. At the outset of the hour, Meredith lured Bailey into what was meant to be a surprise party… only for the Chief to end the festivities before they began by giving a very quick pep talk about how everyone should be out there saving lives. Later on – after Bailey charged her team to come up with a super fast treatment for very tall patient who wanted to bring the Internet to Africa – Callie revealed her former nickname to the interns. In front of Ben. Oops! Meredith then went ahead and referred to Bailey as a “Bond villain.” Once the patient’s deadline arrived, the Amazon women collapsed on top of Wilson, prompting Bailey to to Ben that admit she made a mistake. This led to an actual pep talk from Webber (along with the gift of his old stethoscope). It served to inspire Bailey, who promised everyone she would do better the next day. This caused a slight problem when she wanted to talk to Jackson about their marriage because “the bubble does not travel.” After getting a clean bill of health, April told Jackson they had vowed to be together for “better or worse” and this was the latter and they were gonna fight about it and guess what? She was gonna “win.” In other developments: Amelia really wanted to label her relationship with Owen. Only they couldn’t come up with anything. So they just kept making out. Arizona overheard Callie gushihg over the new woman she was dating and assured her ex that she could tell her about it. Isaac sort of hilariously tried to hit on Jo.
