It’s back to jail again for Gucci Mane. According to the Associated Press , Gucci Mane will serve six months in jail after pleading guilty to battery and other charges. The battery charge stems from an April incident when Gucci pushed a woman out of his moving vehicle near South DeKalb Mall. DeKalb County Solicitor-General Sherry Boston told the AP that Gucci (born Radric Delantic Davis) pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct. State Court Judge Eleanor Ross sentenced Gucci to serve six months in custody followed by several months on probation. Judge Ross also ordered the rapper to complete 12 weeks of anger management classes; pay $5,091 in restitution to the woman for her medical bills; and pay a $3,000 fine. MTV News’ “RapFix Live” caught up with Gucci Mane for his first on-camera interview since his release from prison, and the “Lemonade” rapper confirmed to Sway Calloway that he and his longtime rival decided to squelch any further altercations between their respective teams. “On the strength of [the fact that] anything could have happened between not just me and him [but] between our camps, we just came to a sit-down of just respecting the fact that somebody can get hurt, and it ain’t going to be us,” Gucci said. “That’s what made us do that.” Although the two trap stars came to rap prominence almost simultaneously — Jeezy was featured on Gucci’s early hit “So Icey” — they began feuding soon after. Things quickly went from words on wax to real violence. In 2005, five men who were allegedly party of Jeezy’s camp, stormed into a home where Gucci was visiting a woman. One of those men, who was thought to be affiliated with Jeezy (which he has vehemently denied), was later found dead . Barbs were traded in song thereafter, with occasional confrontations between the two factions. However, during a 2009 radio interview with DJ Drama , Gucci — calling in from jail — and Jeezy said they were squashing their differences and mentioned the possibility of collaborating. But Mr. La Flare, who just dropped his Ferrari Boyz collaboration with Waka Flocka Flame , offered an “I don’t think so” when asked about the possibility of him and Jeezy creating music together again, adding, “We started the conversation, but I can’t see it happening.” Royce Da 5’9″, also a guest on Wednesday’s edition of “RapFix Live,” who famously feuded with D12 years ago, is no stranger to rap beefs and offered his own insight on the matter. “People need to realize that a lot of these beefs that stem from rap or stem from other things, it doesn’t mean you have to make a song just because you squashed the beef,” Nickel Nine said. “People should just appreciate that they’re not beefing anymore; that’s great in itself. They can stop there, and it’s OK.” Fortunately for rap fans, the Detroit lyricist has recorded with a number of individuals he, at one point, wasn’t on good terms with. Notable among them is Eminem, with the pair releasing Hell: The Sequel as Bad Meets Evil last June. Before Royce finally met up with Slim Shady again — the two had stopped speaking in 2003 — he first ended his beef with the late Proof and then the rest of D12. Sometime after, word got back to Eminem that there were no longer any issues between the MCs, and he called Royce. The phone call put in perspective how inconsequential all the previous back-and-forth was. “I answered the phone. He said, ‘Royce, it’s Marshall,’ ” Royce recalled. “I said, ‘What’s up, Marshall?’ And then we just started laughing. It’s like embarrassing. It’s so childish. The Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony divorce came as a shock to almost everybody. After seven years of marriage, the couple announced their split last last week, leaving many to wonder what will happen with their joint business ventures. According to the Hollywood Reporter, their plans to launch and produce the Latin talent show, “Q’Viva: The Chosen,” are still on. The search for contestants will begin being filmed this fall and, once aired, will broadcast simultaneously across 21 countries in North America, Central America and South America. In April, it was announced that the couple would “embark on what’s being described as ‘an epic three month long journey to create the ultimate live show celebrating Latin music, artistry and dance.’ Their travels will take them to remote areas of the Americas and filming will incorporate three languages.” J. Lo said of the show: “This journey for me and Marc is going be exciting and groundbreaking.” This…is gonna be awkward. ‘I don’t think you should deify any human being,’ ‘Harry Potter’ star told MTV News last year. In a recent interview with GQ, “Harry Potter” actor Daniel Radcliffe admits that there was a time when he found himself drinking a little too much. “I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff,” he said of the time during shooting on 2009’s “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” Since then, the 21-year-old has slowed down, telling the magazine that he prefers to have a “quiet life.” But Radcliffe has certainly been open about why he doesn’t see himself as a role model. Last year, he told MTV News, “I don’t look at myself as a role model. I would never place myself on that pedestal, obviously. If other people want to place me there, that’s up to them,” he explained. “I would advise them not to because I don’t think you should deify any human being. I think it’s something that I’ve grown more comfortable with the idea.” And despite his impressive career and all of the charitable work he has done with organizations like the Trevor Project, Radcliffe suggested someone else his fans should look to for guidance instead. “The thing I always say and I’ve often said in interviews, I think if people want a role model, Harry Potter’s a very, very good role model. And he’s something that won’t change,” Radcliffe added. “He’ll be fixed in that permanent lovely way, and so those are the role models you want. “I’m gonna grow old and get fat and stuff,” he added with a good-natured laugh. “And so you don’t want to make me a role model.” While Radcliffe tells GQ the paparazzi never caught him inebriated, when MTV News sat down with him, he did recall a certain pap shot of him smoking a cigarette that did get taken. But the star was willing to shrug it all off. “It’s a terrible thing to admit to, but yes I’m gonna go to help [for smoking]. That stuff, you know, is part and parcel of the job and it comes with the territory and you have to let it wash over you,” he said of the photographers. ‘We are hoping that Mr. Davis is released today,’ Gucci’s lawyer tells MTV News on Tuesday. Gucci’s attorney, Ashutosh Joshi, told MTV News that the Georgia rapper (real name: Radric Davis) is still locked up in Fulton County Jail due to a probation violation , but he could be released later on Tuesday (July 5). “We are hoping that Mr. Davis is released today,” Joshi said. “He is scheduled to be released from Fulton County Jail. However, there are some procedural holdups between the county jail and the state prison as to whether Mr. Davis has to go back to the state prison before he can be released.” Joshi added that he has an order from a Fulton County judge that should ensure Gucci’s release. A Fulton County Jail rep confirmed for MTV News that there is a chance Gucci’s release would be put on hold and that there are instructions to send him up to Jackson State Prison. “There is an order from a Fulton County judge requiring that Mr. Davis serve his time at a Fulton County jail,” Joshi said. “So it is our hope and belief that once the county jail and the state prison are able to communicate — which we understand is occurring today, and once the state prison is aware of the judge’s order, that they will remove or release any hold they have on Mr. Davis and he can be physically released from the Fulton County Jail.” According to Joshi, after serving about two months at Fulton County, the “So Icey” MC was transferred to Jackson State Prison, but due to the short amount of time he had left on his probation he didn’t meet the minimum requirements to serve his time at Jackson State. As a result, Gucci’s legal team returned to the sentencing judge in Fulton County requesting an order requiring the rapper to serve all of his time in Fulton County. The judge agreed and Gucc’s lawyer is waiting for the state to get that message. Gucci was jailed in April after numerous unspecified probation violations stemming from a 2005 aggravated assault case. As we previously reported, Gucci Mane was arrested on Friday, April 8 and is being charged with a misdemeanor count of battery and violation of probation. While Gucci’s (born Radric Davis) bail is only $5,000, the wealthy Atlanta rapper has yet to post bail and remains incarcerated in the DeKalb County Jail. Hot 107.9 spoke with an officer in the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office who explained why Gucci Mane is still locked up. “The reason he’s still incarcerated is he has a probation violation and he has to go to Fulton County to answer those charges,” said Sgt. Adrian Bell, who handles media relations for the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Sgt. Bell added that he does not know when Gucci will be moved to Fulton County. If you recall, Gucci’s last stint in prison was at the Fulton County Jail for a probation violation. Gucci is accused of pushing a 36-year-old woman from his vehicle as he drove down Brannen Road in DeKalb. He allegedly picked up the woman, a hair stylist, as she was standing outside South DeKalb Mall on the morning of Jan. 28, according to a police incident report. He asked her to eat breakfast with him, and she agreed, but once inside Gucci’s vehicle, the rapper told her he wanted to take her to a hotel rather than a restaurant, the report says. He offered the woman $150, but she declined and demanded to be returned to South DeKalb Mall. That’s when he reportedly shoved her out of his vehicle. An ambulance came and treated the unnamed woman for pain on the left side of her back.
