Hannah Montana Sneak Peek: The Final Season

Ready to enter an alternate universe? Given the extreme makeover Miley Cyrus has undergone over the past couple months, it’s jarring to remember that she still plays Hannah Montana on television. In fact, that show will air the first episode of its final season tomorrow night. It finds the Stewarts moving into a new ranch home and we’ve posted a sneak peek at the premiere below. Miley is front and center, but there are no same-sex kisses, no gyrating of the crotch and no torn-up, low-cut, ridiculous outfits to be seen… Hannah Montana Clip Cyrus has gone out of her way to say she wants to shed this innocent image, but she really might wanna think twice about that. After all, her new album sales have been abysmal . She may have to accept the fact that most fans wish to see her as looks here, not as some Britney Spears wannabe:

Miley Cyrus Previews Final Season of Hannah Montana

Between the lack of pants and abudance of simulated same-sex kissing , it’s easy to forget that Miley Cyrus still portrays Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. That series kicks off its final season on Sunday night and Miley previewed it a press conference this week. “[It’s about] her graduating, and seeing what college is all about and seeing whether she wants to pursue her career or go to school and try to live a normal life,” Cyrus told reporters. “I can’t believe it’s already coming to an end, either. I mean, it just feels like we kind of just started.” Will Miley’s musical makeover negatively affect her TV show’s viewership? Looking back on the series, Miley credits herself for starting a trend. “It kind of has opened so many doors for other artists on Disney, too, to be able to involve music and acting and all that. I definitely didn’t expect it to take off the way that it did, especially so soon.” But we can’t help but wonder: will Miley’s transformation into an adult artist hurt Hannah Montana ? Will she lose viewers, as her latest album clearly lost fans . Cyrus says she can’t worry about that: “I can’t only base my career off of the 6-year-olds. It’s the 16-year-olds, the 26-year-olds, that’s I’m trying to reach for now. That’s not letting the younger kids down. I will continue to do things that will be good for them, too. But, I also have to move on.” Will you move on with her?

Miley Cyrus Attached To Star In Dark Thriller ‘Wake’

By Gil Kaufman Miley Cyrus Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage Miley Cyrus is about to take another step in her burgeoning transition from child star to mainstream leading lady. The singer, whose Can’t Be Tamed album comes out on Monday, is in talks to star in the big-screen adaptation of the thriller “Wake,” part of a trilogy of young-adult paranormal novels written by Lisa McCann. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Cyrus, 17, is attached to star in the film, which is being adapted for the screen by “Disturbia” co-writer Christopher Landon. (The movie is being co-produced by MTV Films.)

Miley Cyrus sings that she can’t be tamed, but can she? The seventeen-year-old singer has reportedly been dropping hints that she wants boyfriend Liam Hemsworth to propose. The Hannah Montana star met the Aussie hunk on the set of her movie The Last Song in two-thousand-nine. And although they’ve only been dating for a year, when asked on the Graham Norton show if a wedding was in the near future, Cyrus responded “He’s awesome,” and hinted that she wanted R&B singer Usher to call him up and tell him to buy her a really big rock.

Miley Cyrus in Billboard: I’ve Grown Up a Lot

In a Billboard cover story, Miley Cyrus sounds both mature and cocky. First, she admits that she’s come a long way since she auditioned for Hannah Montana at the age of 12: “I’m just at a certain place where I’ve changed a lot as a person. I’ve grown up a lot, which everyone does.” That’s certainly true, but not everyone talks about her music as if it’s full of heart, soul and profound meaning that simply can’t be found in the pop world. Check out how Cyrus describes her upcoming album: “I listen to zero pop music, which is really weird for someone who makes pop music. My 13-year-old self would have beaten up my 17-year-old self because she would be like, ‘You’re a sellout!’ But that’s not what it is. “It’s not dance music that’s just about, ‘Ooh, I’m in the club and everyone’s looking at me.’ It means something. I’m not just sitting here trying to sell glitz and glamour… because no one lives that life. A lot of [pop] songs are super shallow, but this music isn’t.” Actually, Miles, your music is EXACTLY like that. The lyrics to “Can’t Be Tamed” include these lines: Have to get my way/24 hours a day/‘Cause I’m hot like that/Every guy everywhere just gives me mad attention… That’s more super shallow than most kiddie pools.

Liam Hemsworth Defends Miley Cyrus

It’s been a controversial month for Miley Cyrus. First, the singer released the official musical video for “Can’t Be Tamed,” sending a clear message to anyone that viewed it: So long, Hannah Montana! Then, another video landed the singer in hot water: she was filmed grinding and bumping with movie producer Adam Shankman. Through it all, though, Liam Hemsworth has remained by her side. The Australian actor told Hollywood Life that “Can’t Be Tamed” is a “great” video and: “Everyone gets criticism, it’s kind of what comes with this job… everybody’s trying to bring you down. She’s got a good head on her shoulders.” As for his relationship with Miley, Liam added : “We get along great, she’s a great girl. We work great together.” Apparently, Liam’s vocabulary is as varied as his girlfriend’s wardrobe choices. Still, these two do appear to be a stable couple and we can’t knock Hemsworth for standing by his gal.
