25 Things to Hate About Ryan, The Real World’s Worst Cast Member

The Real World used to cast a bunch of slightly mismatched young adults with obvious ideological and cultural differences, but for the past seven years (give or take), they’ve chosen six archetypes and one totally toxic center. We had Ayiiia in Cancun , Paula in Key West , and now in Back to New Orleans we have Ryan Leslie, a Tempe, Arizona hairstylist who flits, fumes, and remarks about a female castmate’s miniskirt, “You’re just asking to get raped.” Yep, a charmer on all fronts. And there’s 25 more bullets where that came from — just from last night’s premiere! Can you name them? Ready? Go!

Harry Potter Actress Attacked By Relatives

The Harry Potter cast may be a big, happy family, but one of their own has family troubles that are quite severe. The brother and father of 22-year-old actress Afshan Azad (who plays Padma Patil, the student Ron dated in Goblet of Fire ) have been charged with threatening to kill her at her home in Manchester. Yikes. Azad will next appear in the series wrap up, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. [ BBC ]

‘Harry Potter’ Actor Tom Felton Sees Draco Malfoy As ‘Vulnerable’

‘Draco, he’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t,’ he tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Tom Felton Photo: MTV News “Harry Potter” star (and recent MTV Movie Awards winner ) Tom Felton has seen his star rise steadily since first gracing the big screen as Draco Malfoy in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” Fans have watched the young actor evolve from a one-note bully to a complicated and sometimes vulnerable villain. When MTV News caught up with Felton at the opening of Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park , we asked him about Draco’s growth over the course of the eight films, as well as whether he thinks his character is really all evil. “From my character’s point of view, a lot has been left to interpretation,” Felton said, pinpointing an important-yet-subtle moment from the final film, in which Draco is tasked with the painful decision whether to help or hinder his nemesis’ progress. “[There is] one take where you want to help Harry. The books, I think, kind of left it up to the interpretation of the reader, really, so one way you internally want to help him, the other side where you’re just confused, so I’m intrigued to see which bits David [Yates] cuts out of it.” Regarding Malfoy’s not-so-bad, tortured side, Felton said “Potter” creator J.K. Rowling helped him understand a softer side. “Jo always talked about him as being vulnerable,” Felton said. “Most bullies are. They’re actually hugely insecure and have their own problems, and he has the worst parental guidance of any child I’ve ever seen in my life.” Felton added that when he and Daniel Radcliffe have discussed their characters’ dynamics, they see them as two sides of the same coin. “Harry has these great influences, even though his parents have passed,” Felton said. “Draco, he’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t, really. He’s kind of stuck.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Daniel Radcliffe Was ‘OK’ With Being A Shorter ‘Harry Potter’

‘As long as Emma and Rupert weren’t shooting up too quickly either,’ star tells MTV News of falling few inches shy of Harry’s height in books. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Daniel Radcliffe and Josh Horowitz Photo: MTV News In J.K. Rowling’s universe, Harry Potter isn’t a giant but he’s eventually described as slightly taller than average as the series progresses. So what did the actor who’s become synonymous with the wizard think of playing a character whose proportions don’t quite match his own? Daniel Radcliffe tells MTV News he wasn’t too concerned — but with some conditions. “I didn’t get particularly worried because as long as Emma [Watson] and Rupert [Grint] weren’t shooting up too quickly either, I’d look [fine],” he told us earlier this month at the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios . “We’d all look relatively [the same height]. It was all going to be OK,” Radcliffe added. Still, Radcliffe admitted he wouldn’t mind adding a few inches to his real-life frame. “I was worried on a personal level because I wanted to be slightly taller than I am, ideally,” he explained. “But I’ve now accepted it. Basically, I’ve came to the conclusion a while ago that you can either be really bitter about it or you can make loads of funny jokes.” What kinds of jokes, we asked. “When I meet people now and they all say, ‘God you’re so much shorter than I expected!’ I always say, ‘No! I’m actually slightly further away than you think,’ ” he smiled, adding, “Which confuses them.” Can you imagine anyone besides Daniel Radcliffe playing Harry? Tell us your thoughts in the comments! Ashley Greene May Join Miley Cyrus In ‘LOL’

‘Twilight’ star in talks to play ‘high school bad girl.’ By Adam Rosenberg Ashley Greene Photo: Didier Messens/ WireImage “Eclipse” opens Wednesday (June 30), and the stars of the “Twilight” series are preparing for some time away from Stephenie Meyer’s sparkly vampire universe. With the two-part “Breaking Dawn” not shooting until the end of this year, the actors are free to pursue other projects. Ashley Greene is taking advantage of the break; she and “Hung” star Thomas Jane are both in talks to join Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore in “LOL.” The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Ashley Hinshaw and George Finn have joined the cast as well. “LOL” is a remake of the 2008 French movie “LOL (Laughing Out Loud),” directed by Lisa Azuelos. The story follows Cyrus as a teenage high schooler, recently dumped by her boyfriend (Finn), who must deal with her divorced mother (Moore) and a range of other issues in her life. If cast, Greene will play a “high school bad girl” while Jane will play Cyrus’ character’s father. Greene has a very busy schedule these days. In the midst of doing press for “Eclipse,” she recently wrapped her work on the ensemble indie comedy “Butter,” a story centered around a butter sculpting competition in the Midwest. She’ll also star with “Harry Potter” actor Tom Felton next fall in the Todd Lincoln-directed horror thriller “The Apparition.” Jane doesn’t have any other announced upcoming features at the moment, but the second season of “Hung” kicked off this past Sunday. Azuelos wrote and is set to direct the American-language remake of her 2008 film. The French original was her second solo effort as a director. Azuelos wrote and directed the French romantic comedy “Hey Good Looking!” in 2006; she also collaborated as co-writer and co-director with Patrick Alessandrin on the 1995 feature “Ainsi soient-elles.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .

‘Harry Potter’ Star Warwick Davis Recalls Emotional Final Day On Set

‘I was actually really quite choked up about it,’ Davis tells MTV News of finishing ‘Deathly Hallows.’ By Josh Wigler, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Warwick Davis Photo: MTV News The recently released trailer for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” offered fans a great taste of things to come (the first half of the film arrives in theaters this November). But for the cast and crew members involved with the long-running franchise, the magic is already at an end, as shooting on the final two-part installment concluded earlier this month. “I shot my last day on ‘Harry Potter’ last Saturday. It was a very sad, very emotional day,” actor Warwick Davis told MTV News recently at the grand opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park . “I never really get upset finishing a film. I’m normally glad that it’s over, that I won’t have to wear the makeup anymore — but I was actually really quite choked up about it. Ten years’ worth of work finished, and on Sunday, it was worse. I woke up Sunday morning thinking, ‘No more Harry Potter. That’s it.’ ” Davis, who plays Hogwarts’ residential Charms expert Professor Flitwick, recalled the emotional final day of shooting. “I was filming with the second unit, and then I went over to the first unit where they were doing the last shot with Dan [Radcliffe], Rupert [Grint] and Emma [Watson]. The first assistant director didn’t shout, ‘It’s a wrap.’ He didn’t say that. He said, ‘Come over to the screens over here. I have a lot of video to show you.’ He set up the video: a piece of film that they’d shot every day with what’s called the golden boards. It would be a special guest that day or an actor who was finishing up the film, or whatever. If something unusual was happening, they’d be the person holding the golden board. Twenty minutes’ worth to summarize the last year and a half that we’d been working on the movie. It was really very sad.” Although Davis couldn’t divulge the final scene that was shot for “Deathly Hallows,” he confirmed that the last shot involved Radcliffe, Grint and Watson. “It was them, as it should be,” he said. “The three of them. I was lucky to be there for the last day. I think I was the only other castmember in on it.” Even though his work filming “Harry Potter” is complete, Davis’ journey through Hogwarts continues on. “It’s lovely, because we’re all here,” he said, referring to the newly opened Wizarding World of Harry Potter. “It’s like a big school trip. We’re all on holiday, so this is like a new beginning. And we still have the films to see as well.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Robert Pattinson Likens End Of ‘Twilight Saga’ To ‘Divorcing Someone’

‘They’ve become so much a part of my life,’ he tells MTV News at the ‘Eclipse’ L.A. premiere. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson attends the “Eclipse” premiere in L.A. Thursday Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images “Twilight” superstar Robert Pattinson has been conducting so many “Eclipse”-centric interviews lately, it’s a wonder he actually remembers anything he says — let alone the countless articles that hang on his every word. However, when MTV News caught up with him on the “Eclipse” premiere’s black carpet Thursday night (June 24) to ask him about an article in which he’d been quoted as saying he’s tired of all the “Twilight” work, Pattinson seemed to remember very clearly he had said nothing of the sort and quickly set the record straight. “That’s bullsh–!” Pattinson joked. “I hate reporters misquoting me, it’s so annoying.” Of course, realizing he’d just used a naughty word during MTV’s live feed from the premiere, he was quick to apologize for the blunder and cover his mouth. Nonetheless, regarding his reportedly being “tired” of playing the world’s most popular vampire, Pattinson denied it wholeheartedly: “Anyone who says they’re tired of this is really crazy.” Thinking about his life without “Twilight” reminds him of what he was doing before, “which was sitting around doing nothing.” (Aside from his role in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” of course.) “I love doing the movies,” Pattinson insisted. “I like all the people. I’ve had a great time on all of them. The cast is great.” When asked to put into words what he’ll feel when the series comes to an end in a couple of years, the teen heartthrob said simply, “It’s just weird. They’ve become so much a part of my life, it’s like divorcing someone. I guess Ill see. Maybe it will be great!” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . ‘Harry Potter’ Star Daniel Radcliffe Isn’t Interested In ‘Another Franchise’

‘Going on to any other franchise after ‘Potter’ might seem a little bit of a letdown,’ he tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Daniel Radcliffe Photo: MTV News “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe is facing conflicting emotions these days. On one hand, Radcliffe is sad to see his time as the bespectacled hero come to an end. But on the other, he is very excited about his post-“Potter” possibilities. When MTV News caught up with him, his role in the upcoming “All Quiet on the Western Front” had not been announced, but Radcliffe knew enough at the time to tell us: “There’s lots of stuff on the horizon, but nothing in the immediate future.” Though the film world is essentially Radcliffe’s oyster, given his “Potter” star power, one area in which fans are not as likely to see him is in another big franchise. “I wouldn’t like to get involved with another franchise at all, really,” Radcliffe admitted. “I’ve done that, and I know what that’s like, and it’s been a wonderful thing. Going on to any other franchise after ‘Potter’ might seem a little bit of a letdown.” Instead, Radcliffe hopes to focus on making smaller independent films, but he didn’t rule out blockbusters completely. “If the script came for an amazing huge film, it would be churlish to say no,” he said. What if said amazing script was for the role of Bilbo in “The Hobbit”? “Potter” director David Yates is rumored to be in consideration for the directing gig, after all. “I don’t think I would be asked to play Bilbo,” Radcliffe said. “It’s a ridiculous rivalry [“Harry Potter” vs. “Lord of the Rings”] completely built up by the media, but I certainly would be wary of getting involved in another magical fantasy franchise.” What role would you like to see Radcliffe tackle next? What kinds of films should he make? Let us know in the comments! For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .
