In her latest court hearing, Hollyweird’s favorite Yayo Face, Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to a month in lockup for violating her probation terms. She also won’t have to go to jail right away, because the judge has given her a grace period to finish up her important work — disrobing for Playboy ! According to TMZ reports : Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced Lindsay Lohan to 30 days in jail at her hearing today for violating the terms of her probation. Lindsay admitted she violated her probation by not attending therapy sessions as required by the court and by getting kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Center. The judge now says ALL of Lindsay’s community service must now be served at the L.A. County Morgue. And the judge gave Lindsay a tight structure on how she must complete the rest of her probation, and if she doesn’t the judge will put a warrant out for her arrest and sentence her to an additional 270 days in jail. As for the 30 days Lindsay is getting now — the judge made it clear … NO HOUSE ARREST. The Sheriff’s Dept. tells us Lindsay will serve 20% of the 30 days — 6 days in jail. Judge Stephanie Sautner gave Lindsay a strict schedule on completing the rest of her probation — by December 14, she must have completed 12 days at the morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions. By January 17, another 12 days at morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions. And so on. Everything must be completed by March 29 — or she goes directly to jail for 270 days. The judge clearly thinks Lindsay needs a rigid structure to complete her sentence, and as the judge put it, Lindsay is holding the keys to the jail cell. And the judge strongly suggested Lindsay stop tweeting about her experiences at the morgue. At the end, Lindsay seemed happy, walking out of court saying, “Thank God,” under her breath. Sources in the courtroom tell us that when the judge got off the bench she remarked about Lindsay, “She looks good today.” Lohan was not immediately sent to jail because the judge decided to allow her time to complete her nude photo shoot for Playboy. Sources directly connected with Lindsay say Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, told the judge in chambers that Lindsay had a contract with Playboy — a contract of nearly $1 million — and the shoot must be completed this week. If it isn’t, Lindsay would be in breach of her contract. So Judge Stephanie Sautner cut LiLo a break … and gave her one week to surrender. SMH @ them estimating that she’ll only do six days because of the jail overcrowding situation. This broad gets more breaks than anyone we know. Finish this sentence. Bruce Jenner did all he could to tune out his annoying family on Keeping Up with the Kardashians last night. He gets countless points for the attempt, but the clan as a whole lost a ton in this +/- review of its weekly, scripted shenanigans… Kim asks Rob, in response to him having not seen Mason in awhile, “doesn’t that hurt your soul?” She then sticks her chest out for a nice shot by the E! cameras. PLUS 7 . Khloe brings Bruce a “harmony comb” to help with his hearing. It’s a paper plate and candle (below) resting on the side of his head. He then complains about Khloe taking a photo and putting it on YouTube. The E! camera man shakes his head and hands out MINUS 13 points for the irony. Keeping Up with the Kardashians Scene “When in doubt, throw it away,” Khloe says in regard to a turkey baster. MINUS 6 to E! producers for not taking the same stance with all copies of this show. Kourtney is afraid Rob is missing her son growing up because they haven’t spent quality time together. PLUS 5 to Rob for understanding he can just watch the process via the Internet instead. Kris tells Bruce she told him to pick up the girls 45 minutes ago, but he didn’t hear her. MINUS 47 points to every viewer who believes this exchange actually took place. PLUS 12 , though, to Kendall and Kylie for selling this imaginary storyline pretty well… until, MINUS 67 , one of them says they could have “been kidnapped.” People actually get kidnapped, you self-serving, greedy morons. Bruce passes his hearing test. He failed his integrity test years ago, so we’ll give him PLUS 6 for finally getting a passing grade here. Rob is sick ! Kris changes out of her fancy shoes and into her tennis shoes to check on the problem! PLUS 3 points to myself for having not broken my television yet. Kris says you “worry a lot” any time your child is “put under.” MINUS 29 because she forgot to include: “unless she is put under Ray J on video because that nets your family millions.” You won’t believe this, but Kourtney brings Scott flowers to close the episode and the pair makes up. PLUS 9 for such originality. The show NEVER concludes this way. EPISODE TOTAL: -129. SEASON TOTAL: -334

The controversial cancer drug Avastin becomes the focus of U.S. regulators’ attention again Tuesday during a two-day hearing to determine if the medication can keep its FDA approval for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer. Easy Ways To Drop 5 Pounds By Summer Back on Dec. 16, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommended revoking approval of the drug to fight breast cancer, citing the medication’s poor performance in follow-up studies and its potential for serious side effects. The drug’s maker, Genentech, now owned by the pharmaceutical giant Roche, was given the chance to appeal the FDA recommendation and present additional evidence. That appeal will be the focus of the hearing and, according to published reports, will involve Genentech urging one more clinical trial before any government action on the drug. Tips For Healthy Vascular Living The FDA’s unusual step of scheduling another hearing on the drug underscores the difficulty of withdrawing approval of a cancer medication.

After rejecting a plea deal that could have settled her grand theft case and given her a short stint behind bars, Lindsay Lohan is rolling the legal dice. The first step? A preliminary hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence to order Lohan to stand trial. That is scheduled for Friday, April 22. It sounds to us like fireworks will fly in the courtroom that day. Team Lindsay is confident they’re gonna win , but the D.A. is not backing down … Los Angeles Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers is warning witnesses to expect “grueling cross examination by defense attorney Shawn Holley” at the hearing. Meyers originally planned on calling only the investigating officers to testify, but is now prepping to go all out April 22 because of a legal technicality. Lindsay, as we know, stands a good chance of being found in violation of her DUI probation regardless of what happens in the felony grand theft case. If the judge finds there is enough evidence to send Lohan to trial, that in itself will result in a probation violation, even if a jury were to later acquit her. Meyers wants to go all out to see that Lindsay is taken into custody for violating probation following the hearing, so she’s calling extra witnesses. Meyers has met with the jewelry store owner, Sofia Kaman, along with the female employee that helped LiLo with the necklace she allegedly stole. Much of the preparation is being spent on Sofia’s testimony, because of Kaman’s decision to sell the surveillance video of Lohan’s alleged theft. Meyers believes Sofia will be an excellent witness for the prosecution, despite that move. She has yet to see one dime from the sale of the tape. Just the same, Meyers expects Holley to grill Kaman about her motives and to try to raise doubts about Sofia’s credibility, inside sources report. The preliminary hearing is expected to last 2-3 days, and at the conclusion, Judge Stephanie Sautner will determine if there is enough evidence. If she does, Meyers will ask that Lindsay be jailed immediately for the probation violation, pending trial. But Sautner could allow her to post bail. Basically, it should be very interesting as there are so many scenarios that could play out in what is a surprisingly complex courtroom drama. What do you think? Is Lindsay a thief?

In the age of instant information it is imperative that we explain disasters to our children. They need to understand that the world in their own time. Here are a few steps to help you explain natural disasters to your child. 1- Take into account your child’s age and developmental stage. While a toddler may only need to have images explained, kindergarten children may have lots of other questions. 2 -Faced with startling images and sound bites, young children need to enjoy what is stable in their environment? Answer your child’s questions and concerns. Let your child take the lead in the conversation and don’t try to overload him or her with details that may be too complicated; this can increase anxiety. Research together to find answers. 3- The goal of any discussion needs to be informational and helpful to the child. The earthquake in Japan is a perfect example to explain plates in the earth. Children begin Earth Science at 6 years old. They are beginning to understand the basics in the world. You can explain why an earthquake occurs. 4- Try to keep your emotions stable as you talk with your child. You may have some strong feelings about the disaster and/or the way the relief effort is going. But remember, parental anxiety and frustration is contagious and not helpful to children. You can take the moment to say a special prayer. 5- Talk about what is happening in the aftermath of the events . This is a great moment to teach charity. Maybe they can donate their allowance or cell phone minutes. You can research what to do by reading How You Can Help Japan’s Earthquake Victims 6- Explain or possibly volunteer time in a small way . There are relief efforts that specialize in educating children and teaching them how to react and respond in times of trouble. 7- Take them out of the house and enjoy being out . Allowing a child to enjoy their time and be distracted is blessing in disguise. You can also enjoy a change of scenery. Now is the perfect time to go visit your cousin’s house 8- Use the time to turn off the television. We often forget just how enthralled we can become with watching the images on the screen. A friend of mine just explained earlier this week that she enjoyed spending time with the children with the television off. Make sure that all information you give is age-appropriate, handled gently, and be explained in terms children will understand. After talking about these violent events, parents should immediately make sure their children feel safe by reassuring them that they’re not in danger.
