Mama June Shannon has kicked Sugar Bear to the curb once more, this time after buying a new house and claiming he’s still dabbling in online romances. The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo couple famously separated earlier this year, which she blamed on his online horniness and he blamed on … well, you know. June rekindled her romance with former flame Mark McDaniel after the child molester got out of prison … for abusing June’s oldest daughter Anna Shannon. Mama June has sworn to Anna that Mark is out of the picture for good now, but it looks like she hasn’t patched things up with Suge nearly as easily. In fact, Shannon told TMZ she recently bought a new crib, and told him he won’t be joining her there after learning he’s still engaging in online romances. Sugar Bear, for his part, says it’s all harmless, that he never cheated on June and he just does the online “dating” thing for the thrill of the experience. He’s as done with her as she is with him, and he’s got a new home of his own to prove it, quietly renting a four-bedroom double wide with his brother. Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, the eldest daughter of June Shannon, says she’s willing to put the past in the past with her mom, as long as it truly is the past. In other words, Mama June has to dump that child molester Mark McDaniel – who once abused Anna – for good or her little girl is flying the coop forever. Chickadee, now 20 years old, says all is not forgiven when it comes to Mark McDaniel , even though June is acting like it’s water under the bridge at this point. After meeting last week, mother and daughter have been texting and talking on the phone regularly, trying to move on from the fact that she and Mark dated. Not just in the past, when he abused Anna Shannon , but this year, after he got out of prison for child molestation and she split up from partner Sugar Bear. That’s a lot for anyone to take in, and grounds for estrangement. But the younger Shannon (now Anna Cardwell, her married name) is being the bigger person. Anna says June apologized for dating him , and that the creep is totally out of the picture, but Anna remains hesitant, and it’s hard to blame her for that. Bottom line: If Mark is in the picture at all going forward, kiss their relationship goodbye, she says. June, for her part, says she’s fine with that stipulation. Lena Dunham Issues Statement, Apology in Regard to Sexual Molestation Scandal

Lena Dunham has taken a break from rage spiraling to craft a thoughtful statement regarding the controversy around some passages in her new book. Late last week, the website Truth Revolt cited a story in “Not That Kind of Girl” in which Dunham said she looked into her sister’s vagina when she was seven years old. The site laid into Dunham for this behavior, prompting an angry response from the creator of HBO’s Girls. Lena Dunham Rage Spirals Over Sexual Abuse Claims A lawyer for Dunham also sent Truth Revolt a cease-and-desist letter, though the site simply went on the offensive in response, citing another passage in the book (where Dunham jokes about acting like a “sexual predator” around her sister in exchange for kisses) as inappropriate. Meanwhile,  Dunham canceled a number of appearances in promotion of her memoir while she dealt with the fallout of this scandal. Now, having a couple days to think about the controversy, Dunham has released a new statement to Time Magazine. “First and foremost, I do not condone any kind of abuse under any circumstances,” the actress/producer/writer says, adding: “Childhood sexual abuse is a life-shattering event for so many, and I have been vocal about the rights of survivors. If the situations described in my book have been painful or triggering for people to read, I am sorry, as that was never my intention. Anna Shannon: Mama June Stole All My Money to Buy a Car For Mark McDaniel!

When news broke that June Shannon was dating convicted child molester Mark McDaniel, it initially seemed like the situation couldn’t get much worse. Well, it did. We later learned that June’s daughter Anna Shannon was McDaniel’s victim , and that he had been imprisoned for ten years after sexually assaulting her when she was just 8 years old. Now, it seems that not only is Shannon exposing her young daughters to McDaniel , she may have actually stolen from Anna’s trust fund to buy McDaniel a car. The fund had recently held $30,000 but Anna says she received a notice last week informing her that the balance was down to $17. “I have a feeling Mama used that to buy a car and buy Mark what he wanted,” Anna told E! News during an interview. June denies the allegations, saying she never withdrew any money, and never purchased a car for McDaniel. On October 26, however, Shannon purchased two used Nissans and sent one to a Decatur, GA address that’s registered to McDaniel. Anna has stated in the past that she partially blames her mother for the abuse that she suffered, and fears for the safety of her sisters with McDaniel in their house. “Mama can be very selfish,” Anna said recently. “I think Mama keeps secrets a lot.” Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and Family 1. Reality TV and controversial, OMG moments go hand in hand. They’re the primary reason you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online (for example). In the early days, though, such moments weren’t nearly as common or explosive. The Real World has nothing on some of the scandals of modern times. Lately, it seems like we’re dealt one jaw-dropping reveal, moment or conflict after another. So many it’s almost become a struggle to keep up with them all. That said, here are 19 of the biggest reality TV scandals of all time: 19 Scandals That Rocked Reality TV 1. TLC Cancels Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Give the network credit. It pulled the plug as soon as rumors spread of June Shannon dating her daughter’s former molester. EWWWWW! Not all shockers take place with the cameras rolling, of course. Jon and Kate Gosselin imploded off camera, while TLC just canceled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo because of June Shannon dating a child molester. That never made it to air … and the show likely never would have if producers had known the tawdry extent of the Georgia matriarch’s past relationships. Bottom line? Don’t expect an end to the madness anytime soon. Despite what its title implies, you don’t watch Bad Girls Club : Redemption for the actual redemption, but for the bad girls clubbing each other. Just saying. As long as producers and network executives believe that scandals equal ratings, awful behavior will continue to be the norm, rather than the exception. Even if they don’t create drama on camera, the types of personalities likely to land shows in a more and more absurd TV landscape are likely loose cannons. Last week, TLC canceled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo following a series of stunning and sickening revelations. First, TMZ reported that series star June Shannon was dating a convicted child molester named Mark McDaniel.  Later, we learned that McDaniel’s victim was Anna Shannon – June’s eldest daughter who was just eight years old at the time. June Shannon to Lose Children? Then, in perhaps the most shocking development in this story thus far, photos emerged that showed McDaniel with Honey Boo Boo – Shannon’s 9-year-old daughter who currently lives with her in Georgia.  More details have now emerged regarding McDaniel’s horrific crimes and it’s more astonishing than ever that June Shannon would welcome this man back into her life and allow him to spend time with her young children. Radar Online has obtained a police report revealing that McDaniel was caught only when 8-year-old Anna told her teacher about McDaniel’s assaults. Sadly, by this time the abuse had been going on for over six months. “Anna told a teacher she had been molested by her stepfather, Mark McDaniel,” reads the report.  Caleb Clark – an ex-boyfriend of Anna’s – spoke to the National Enquirer about the report back in 2012: “Anna told me that McDaniel threatened that if she ever told her grandparents what happened, he would kill them and her,” Clark said. “That’s how he made her shut up about the rapes.” June Shannon is reportedly under investigation by the state of Georgia to determine if her children are safe living in her home. Earlier today, we learned that TLC has canceled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo in the midst of a shocking controversy. Rumors surfaced yesterday that June Shannon is dating a convicted child molester named Mark McDaniel. June’s daughter Lauryn claims Shannon broke up with McDaniel shortly after he was arrested, but the network that made the family famous decided to pull the plug on production anyway. Shannon confirmed the cancelation this morning: June Shannon Speaks Out on Sex Abuse “As of right now, there will be no more production on the show,” June says in the video above. “The statement of me being a sex offender is totally untrue.” “I would not ever, ever, ever put my kids in danger. I love my kids too much. That is my past. I have not seen this video for ten years.” June also acknowledges that she broke up with Sugar Bear Thompson –  her longtime partner and one of the stars of the show “We’re better off friends than we were a couple,” she said of her separation from Sugar Bear.  Shannon also says that she won’t be making any further statements, as TLC has advised the Shannons to “hush, hush.” In spite of that instruction, June’s eldest daughter Kaitlyn gave an interview in which she assures fans that her mother has had no contact with McDaniel since they broke up ten years ago. “I know for a fact it’s not true,” Kaitlyn told Radar Online. “The person behind this, all I got to say is he or she is trying to tear the family apart, which isn’t right one bit.” She added that though he might seem to be an obvious suspect, she is confident that Sugar Bear is not behind the rumors. June Shannon Broke Up With Mark McDaniel BEFORE He Went to Jail For Sexual Assault, Daughter Claims

Earlier today, TMZ reported that June Shannon is dating a convicted child molester named Mark McDaniel.  Sources claim that McDaniel and Shannon dated before he went to prison for sexual assault in 2004, and they reconciled shortly after he was released in March. Shockingly, insiders say that McDaniel met his 8-year-old victim through Shannon and that she may have even been related to the child. Fans began voicing their outrage online within minutes of when the story broke and TLC stated the future of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is in question in light of this news.  June has yet to publicly respond to the news herself, but her daughter – 14-year-old Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon – has come forward to say that there is no truth to the rumor that her mother is involved with McDaniel again. “The story is not true,” Lauryn told Radar Online. “My mom left Mark 10 years ago. Mama June Shannon and Sugar Bear Thompson: It’s Over!

It’s a sad day for Honey Boo Boo fans and true romantics everywhere, as TMZ is reporting that Mama June Shannon and her “husband” Sugar Bear Thompson have called it quits. Shannon and Thompson were “married” in a commitment ceremony last year but never actually became man and wife.  While it was in no way legally binding, the now-infamous Honey Boo Boo wedding made for a fan-favorite episode of the TLC series based on everyone’s favorite 9-year-old pageant queen. Sadly, just 15 months later, Mama June has given called it quits with Sugar Bear (real name, Mike Thompson) after reportedly discovering an online dating profile that he had been using to search for potential cheating partners. “Sugar Bear and I have decided to take some time apart to figure out some things in our relationship,” said Mama June in a statement.” “We are taking things day by day, but regardless of what happens, the girls will always be our #1 priority. We want to thank y’all for your support.” The Shannon-Thompson family is currently wrapping filming on the fifth season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
