If there was ever a perfect afternoon for a hang gliding lesson in Rio de Janeiro, it was today. At least that’s what new photos of Rio star Jesse Eisenberg suggest. The normally serious actor looks like he was having a ball learning valuable lessons of flight. Since Movieline HQ is in a “joining” mood this afternoon, let’s all throw on our best sporting helmet and glide through the jump to caption the hilarious/adorable full-size images.

Just days after Rachel Oberlin said Charlie Sheen was the first man she ever met who deserved to be with multiple women at once , this goddess has left the building. So Tweeted the hilarious actor himself, who still considers himself a winner, don’t worry: Following the (latest) ugly split with Brooke Mueller, Sheen is down to himself and Natalie Kenly . And the next journalist that stops by for an interview, of course. Anyone wishing to apply for the job of goddess should send an application to imdesperatefordrugsandattention@justhalfaman.com.
Pop culture past and present collided on ‘Saturday Night Live’ last night, when host Dana Carvey (1986-’93 alum, as he and old pal Jon Lovitz reminded us in the monologue) revived Church Chat — and Carvey’s most famous ‘SNL’ character, the hilarious heathen-hater Church Lady. Cast members played Church Lady’s first guests (the Kardashians, followed by Snooki). But confronting the angelic face of the real Justin Bieber suddenly sent Church Lady into a wicked tizzy. She prayed for strength and decided her best course of action was to flap her wings in a Superior Dance and just bust a move with the pop star. Bieber seemed more low-energy (up past his bedtime?) than he did in his memorable ‘SNL’ sketch with Tina Fey last year. But on camera with Carvey, at least the 16-year-old was more poised than the recent interview when he tried “like” winging it in conversation with funny man Dave Letterman. Check out Church Chat 2011, starring Justin Bieber (who arrives about six minutes into the sketch). And after the jump , a bonus clip: a wigged-out Andy Samberg obsessing over Bieber in a spoof of Leighton Meester’s new flick, ‘The Roomate.’ Justin Bieber finds college dorm life a real nightmare when he meets his new roomie.

Since we’re still all bitter that Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work wasn’t considered for the Oscar documentary shortlist, Movieline’s giving its own awards now. “Best Tommy Lee Jones/Fuhrer Joke” goes to Joan “You Don’t Even Know Me, Judd Apatow ” Rivers. At the tail end of a week where Rivers mocked Sarah Palin on Fox & Friends , she just named The Fugitive ‘s Oscar winner as Hollywood’s evilest, most Hitler-conjuring man. We had no idea! Let’s watch her explain.
