Blogette Playlist Volume 17

Hello loyal Blogette readers! I can’t believe this is my 17th playlist. These are the songs rolling around on my iPod right now; music is the vice that gets me through the day. I make playlists for almost every interesting experience and I am working on my piece de resistance – the final election day playlist! Already got some good tunes that I will be playing throughout the entire day. I want to thank all my loyal readers and supporters. It’s getting down to the wire with only a few weeks left until the election. I am a blessed girl living this life and a part of this election. Hang on tight ’cause it’s crunch time! xoxox – Meghan

Harleys in the Heartland

So, I have been on the road sans my parents in Ohio for the past few days and I am having the time of my life! I am meeting excited supporters, going to book signings and traveling around on the Straight Talk Express with some of my best friends. The highlight so far has been the “Bikers for McCain” rally. Public speaking is still new to me and often I have stage fright, but not at this rally.  Everyone was so nice and quickly put me at ease. Check out the pics below. On to Pennsylvania and then Nashville for the debate! Song of the Day: “So What” by Pink

The Traveling Show

With the final debate tonight, I wanted to share some photos of Mom, Dad and Governor Palin on the campaign trail last week. I’ve had so much fun visiting headquarters and doing book signings over the past couple of weeks, but it’s been great joining up with the campaign again. The pace never lets up between take-offs and touchdowns and everything in between. The energy and enthusiasm at the rallies is phenomenal! Be sure to tune in to the debate tonight. We’ll have more posts soon! Song of the Day: “Pump It Up” by Elvis Costello

I am not President Bush…

My father nothing short of ROCKED Wednesday night’s debate and I have never been more proud. He got up and showed this country why he is the right person to lead it into the future, and open the door to the reinvention of the Republican Party. I am always proud of my Dad but even more so when he lets his maverick tendencies show so clearly. Eighteen more days to go and this election is nowhere near over!!! Ohio and Florida

With 13 days to go, the campaign thunders on. Mom has been campaigning on her own so met back up with Dad for some huge rallies in Ohio followed by some HQ visits in Florida. I am so grateful for the chance to be on the campaign with him. I think our energy really gets him pumped up for these rallies. Plus, he likes to joke around with us behind the scenes. Another first for me at the rallies in Ohio was introducing Dad to the huge crowd! I was as nervous as I think I’ve ever been, but Dad had the right advice and I think I did fine; at least the crowd seemed to think so. Everyone is excited about the election, but there’s a lot of work yet to be done. When I see my father reach out to supporters, look them in the eye and see the expression on their faces, I know he will be the kind of President we need at this time in our history. If you hear about an upcoming campaign event in your area, be sure to come out in support of him. You won’t be disappointed. Song of the Day: “No Hiding Place” by Elvis Costello Everyone, go out and check out his new album, it’s incredible!!!

Florida and Denver

You might think it would be lonely to spend your birthday on the road.  But not if you’re on the campaign trail! Yesterday, I was able to spend it with hundreds of new friends in Colorado.  What a fabulous day!  Thanks to everyone for their support as we move closer to election day.  I know we’ve been remiss in updating the viewer mail (we get a ton every day) but please know your words of encouragement mean more now than ever before. Thank you all! Song of the Day: “What Light” by Wilco

America is Worth Fighting For

“America is worth fighting for” is my favorite line of my father’s speech. I think it is so poignant, and essentially, it captures the reason why I have always loved, supported and believed in my father. It is why I believe he would be the best President for our country now, at a point where we face many challenges abroad and also at home, where so many of our fellow Americans are going through difficult times. The fact that our country is and always will be worth for fighting for is the essence of why I have been so inspired to participate in this campaign, and throughout this process I have been even more inspired by the people and the places I have encountered along the way, around our great country. We are truly the luckiest people in the world, and I have been very fortunate to be a part of this experience on the campaign, and to be able to share it with so many of you. The next three days will fly by and no doubt be pretty crazy, so let me just say thanks right now for getting involved too. This is what was at the heart of what I hoped to achieve with my blog, and it has gone beyond my expectations. Stay tuned for more from the trail tomorrow! Song of the Day: “Under Pressure” by Queen and David Bowie

Flying High

The final Saturday of the campaign was packed with energetic rallies in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Thousands of revved-up supporters were at every stop and I know Dad speaks from the heart and from experience when he says he can “feel” the momentum. We’re as excited as we’ve ever been, and we know that so many of our loyal readers are too. We’re down to the last two days so keep watching and get ready to make sure you (and at least 10 of your friends) vote on Tuesday! Song of the Day: “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler
