It’s been four months since we first learned that Jill Duggar is pregnant with her second child , and while she’s not quite as tight-lipped about her expanding family as her sister, Jessa Duggar, Jill hasn’t offered fans many updates in recent weeks. Granted, part of the reason for that is the fact that she and her son and husband are currently back in South America performing missionary work, and Internet connections are reportedly hard to come by in their village. Even so, it seems that Jill is occasionally able to login and fill fans in on the status of her forthcoming bundle of joy. Jill posted a lengthy blog post to her family’s official website yesterday, and she ended with a surprising reveal. She started with the sad news that the grandfather of her husband, Derick Dillard, passed away last week. Jill thanked fans for their support and explained that while the Dillards are enduring a difficult time, there’s a good deal of joy on the horizon: “Although the past few days have brought sadness to our hearts, we’ve also had reason to celebrate, since Israel turned 2 years old just a few days ago!” Jill wrote. She went on to offer fans an insight into her pregnancy as she approaches her third trimester: “Little ‘Samuelito’ (as the locals call him) sometimes wakes mommy up at night now with his active kicking,” Jill wrote. “We look forward to returning home soon to prepare for the birth (before we can’t fly anymore!).” The “Samuelito” tidbit has been interpreted by some fans as Jill’s way of revealing that she’s planning on naming her baby Samuel. It’s a tad traditional for a Duggar baby name, but it’s in keeping with Jill and Derick’s habit of choosing names that reflect their faith. Their first child, Israel Dillard , was named in commemoration of of the Christian holy land and the country where Derick performed his earliest missionary work. It may seem like a casual way to make such a big reveal, but Jill isn’t as secretive as other members of her family. Melissa McCarthy is a pretty big star, with countless opportunities to do big movies, high-paying TV gigs … but still, she manages to find time every once in a while to stop by Saturday Night Live. For the past couple of months, Melissa has been coming on the show to do just the loveliest impression of White House press secretary Sean Spicer. And this week, considering the mess that the real Sean Spicer got himself into, we were extra glad to see her. In case you missed it, Spicer has made some questionable comments about Hitler — about how he never used chemical weapons like Syria. He also referred to concentration camps as “Holocaust centers.” Yes, for real. His statements were obviously horrible and wrong and really just inexcusable, but we're glad Melissa was able to make light of them. And in an Easter bunny costume, no less! In the skit, Spicer makes a statement to apologize for the Hitler comments. “Everybody shut up so I can apologize,” he screams. “Yes, you all got your wish this week, didn't you, huh? Spicy finally made a mistake.” As for the “Holocaust centers” statement, Spicer says that “duh,” he knows that's not what they're really called. They're called concentration clubs! Farrah Abraham doesn’t get along with her Teen Mom OG costars. It’s a constant battle of Farrah vs. Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout, and we all know that. It’s pretty established at this point. For the past couple of weeks leading up to tomorrow night’s season premiere of the show, the feud has been heating up, with the other girls bashing Farrah in the press. Farrah responds with a statement about how she’s better than the other girls and how she’s above engaging with them, but she inevitably throws in an insult, proving that she’s not above it. It’s been a wild ride. But late last night, Farrah threw herself back into the fray, totally unprovoked. And it was … well, it was a little confusing, what with her complete inability to form a coherent thought . It was also very, very messy. “It’s Hilarity how I single handily made more views & ratings then all three stooges on @TeenMom,” she wrote on Twitter. “And make more ratings then 1offs sh!” … Girl . For one, we’re loving the phrase “It’s Hilarity,” and she should trademark it immediately in an attempt to pretend it was intentional (the reality is that she just doesn’t understand how words work). Two, if she does “single handily” get more views than Amber, Catelynn and Maci, AKA the Three Stooges, it’s because people can’t look away from a good trainwreck . Three, why is she calling the other moms one-offs? Is it because they haven’t expanded their reality show fame into porn stardom? Four — hey, we told you this is messy — she shared this message along with a photo of poor little Sophia’s Easter basket. Why? It’s hard to say. Why does Farrah do any of the things she does? But while her message was convoluted and dumb and generally just terrible, her followers still got the gist of it. And they were not down for Farrah’s Easter ego party. Some brave person gave her the cold, hard truth, writing “Nobody’s watching you because we think you’re talented, nice or a good mom. You’re more like a trainwreck. Bad but we can’t look away.” Many people told her that while they did watch Teen Mom OG, they skipped Farrah’s segments altogether. “Ratings are all you’ll ever be,” another person explained. “You’re just a pawn in MTV’s eyes. Drama brings ratings, so thank you for giving us great footage!” Then someone asked the real question of the evening: “Wtf does this have to do with your child’s Easter basket!?!” Honestly, the odds are that we will never know the answer to that. During a special 40th anniversary celebration in honor of the Star Wars saga this morning, Billie Lourd got up on stage in Orlando and delivered a powerful speech about her mom. While dressed as Princess Leia. The event – attended by such stars as Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and director George Lucas – was billed as a look back at various stories and memories related to the beloved franchise. But it was a panel was dedicated to the late Carrie Fisher that drew the most attention. Especially afterward, once word of Lourd’s speech spread across the Internet. Fisher, of course, portrayed Leia in multiple Star Wars movies. She died of a heart attack at the age of 60 in late December, a stunning and sad development that continues to affect all her knew her well. “She could hold her own against anything,” Lucas said of Fisher this morning. “She wore a dress through the whole thing, but she was the toughest one of the group. And that’s the key to Carrie being able to play that part. It was a hard part to play, and she pulled it off brilliantly. “And it really shows the level of her talent. And at the same time, she was fun to be with.” Incredibly (and tragically), Fisher’s famous mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, died one day after her daughter. The two were honored together last month in a public memorial service. “There are not many people like her, one in a billion. We’ll all love her forever and ever,” Lucas added. And then Lourd was called on to say a few words. “My mom used to say she never knew where Princess Leia ended and Carrie Fisher began,”said Lourd, donning a dress that paid homage to her mother’s Leia costume. “She was imperfect in many ways, but her imperfections and willingness to speak about them are what made her more than perfect.” Continued the young actress, speaking to a sold-out crowd: “She taught me three important things. One thing all mothers should teach their daughters.” Lourd then recited Leia’s legendary “help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi” monologue: Years ago, you served my father in the Clone Wars. Now he begs you to help him in his struggle against the Empire. I regret that I am unable to present my father’s request to you in person, but my ship has fallen under attack and I’m afraid my mission to bring you to Alderaan has failed. I have placed information vital to the survival of the Rebellion into the memory systems of this R2 unit. My father will know how to retrieve it. You must see this droid safely delivered to him on Alderaan. This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope. Concluded Lourd: “I learned by knowing her that the the most evolved person is seemingly a contradiction: “They’re both the strongest and the most vulnerable person in the room. And that was her. I am beyond grateful.” Since her mother’s unexpected passing, Lourd has made various statements on social media and shared a couple precious throwback photos. “Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist,” she wrote on January 2, breaking her silence over losing both her mother and grandmother. As previously reported, Charlie Murphy has died at the age of 57. Despite the comedian having been diagnosed with Leukemia and having been in the hospital at the time of his passing, the news was still received a shock to those who knew Murphy well. Various sources have confirmed that Murphy kept the dire status of his disease very quiet, even from close family members. But it seems pretty clear that the star was aware his time was inching closer. Consider his final Tweet, written the day before he died: “One to Sleep On: Release the past to rest as deeply as possible.” Fans didn’t give the message much thought at the time, but it’s impossible not to stare at, analyze and grow teary-eyed over the Tweet now In the aftermath of Murphy’s passing, comedians and actors from across Hollywood have expressed their condolences on social media. Eddie Murphy and his relatives have also released a statement that reads as follows: Our hearts are heavy with the loss today of our son, brother, father, uncle and friend Charlie. Charlie filled our family with love and laughter and there won’t be a day that goes by that his presence will not be missed. Thank you for the outpouring of condolences and prayers. We respectfully ask for privacy during this time of great loss for all of us. Aside from co-writing a few of his brother’s films and starring in a handful of movies himself, Charlie Murphy was best known later in life for hilarious appearances on Chappelle’s Show. On Wednesday night, during a surprise cameo at a John Mayer concert, Dave Chappelle spoke to the crowd about losing his good friend and former colleague. “Today I got some terrible news,” said the beloved stand-up comic from a stage in Ohio. “My good friend Charlie Murphy passed away this morning, and everybody in comedy is heartbroken.” He went on to say that Mayer’s song, “You’re Gonna Live Forever in Me,” reminded him of “my friend Charlie Murphy — our friend Charlie Murphy.” As Mayer proceeded to play that track, Chappelle concluded: “Rest in peace Charlie Murphy. We love you. According to a bombshell new report, Angelina Jolie isn’t simply ready to move on from Brad Pitt… … she’s ready to move on from Brad Pitt and head to the altar with another man! The cover story of the latest In Touch Weekly screams about an “Angelina Shocker,” as editors try to make the case that Jolie is “GETTING MARRIED ALREADY.” Finally, the tabloid promises, the “real reason” why Angelina dumped Brad has been revealed. Indeed, “Angelina’s getting married,” an unnamed, allegedly close friend supposedly tells the magazine, although this pal refuses to divulge the name of Jolie’s fiance. But he’s a “wealthy, 40-something Brit,” the insider swears, going on to describe this lucky fellow as a “philanthropist business man.” Hmmm… Jolie is very into philanthropy. It’s kind of her things these days. Might there be some truth to this seemingly ridiculous rumor?!? This same story says none of Jolie’s six children have met her mystery man just yet, despite a wedding evidently being in the works. How does Pitt feel about his long-time wife preparing to exchange vows with her new lover, mere months after she filed to divorce him? The actor was “knocked for a loop,” In Touch reports, although he’ll need to wrap his head around this engagement soon. Jolie is “trying to speed up the divorce so she can tie the knot as quickly as possible,” the report reads. The source also goes on to state that a “quickie wedding would be the ultimate payback” for Angelina. And why would Jolie be interesting in getting revenge against Pitt? The star filed to legally end her marriage to Pitt because she believed him to be a bad father. There was some kind of altercation on board a private airplane that resulted in the FBI being called in to investigate Pitt for charges of assault. No evidence was ever discovered to support this claim. Just last week, meanwhile, Radar Online broke its own bombshell, alleging that a man DID actually come between Jolie and Pitt . But it wasn’t a lover. It was Jolie’s own brother, James Haven! He’s always been unusually tight with his famous sister and yet another anonymous friend told the website that Pitt grew sick and tired of their awkward relationship. “James was so close to them that he was actually living with them,” author Ian Halperin said in an interview to promote his new film, Broken: The Incredible Story of Brangelina. “It put Brad over the edge. Catelynn Lowell has found herself in the news lately, which is good — yay, publicity! Unfortunately, the reason she's been in the news is because she pretended to be pregnant before posting a fake ultrasound photo, which upset many of her fans — boo, lies! Earlier this month, she tweeted at her husband and fellow Teen Mom OG star, Tyler Baltierra, that she was “ready for another baby.” Tyler agreed, and then a little bit later, Catelynn hopped over to Instagram and shared the image above. It bothered a lot of people because for one, the whole reason Catelynn is famous is because she got pregnant at 16. That means that her fans are invested in her uterus, and she shouldn't toy with that. Another issue is that people as a whole are getting over pregnancy jokes, because infertility is tough and dumb social media posts don't make it easier. But now, in a new interview, Catelynn is explaining what really happened with that whole mess. And it's just as confusing as ever. She says that she shared the fake ultrasound in the first place because she was tired of hearing pregnancy rumors about herself . “Quit f-cking with me and I won't do it again,” she advises her followers. She adds that while she would love to be pregnant again, her struggle with postpartum depression makes the idea of having another child a little scary. However, she's talked about the issue with her counselor, who's advised her to come up with a strong plan for her next pregnancy, so that if she does suffer from postpartum depression again, she and her family can catch it quicker. The idea of having a game plan is a comfort for sure, she says, but she's still scared. And that all makes sense, right? But then she's asked which OG mom is going to be the next to have a baby, and, without one single doubt, she says it will be her. “Tyler won't even know,” she says. “I'll make him wait and surprise him, and I'll do another gender reveal …” So which is it, Catelynn?! If you're not going to have another baby for a while, then why do you have all these plans? So maybe she's pregnant, maybe she's not (OK, probably she's not). Scandal has solidified itself as one of the most shocking dramas on the air since it premiered in April of 2012. There is no subject matter this iconic series will stray away from, and that's what makes it so fresh and exciting. But what about when the cameras are NOT rolling? Based on an article in The Hollywood Reporter in celebration of the series airing its 100th episode, it turns out that just as many stunners have existed on the set as on the script pages. To wit… 1. The Original Olivia Pope? ABC originally wanted Connie Britton to be Olivia Pope, but the casting director and Shonda Rhimes were defiant that Olivia Pope was black. Could you imagine just how different the show could have been today? Kerry Washington emerged as the first black woman to topline a drama in 37 years. No, that was not a typo. 2. Shonda Was Against Making Another Show Shonda Rhimes was a very busy woman. She had Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice on the air, and she initially thought it would be too much to have another show on the air. After sitting down with real-life crisis manager, Judy Smith, Shonda changed her tune, and the idea grew into Scandal from there. 3. Platonic Olitz? In the original pitch there was no mention of Olivia bedding the Fitz. Paul Lee (Former Head of ABC) called Shonda to see if the relationship could be taken out, but Shonda said the show should not be made without that plot. Behold, the power of Shonda Rhimes. 4. An Internation Flop? There were even some complaints that a black lead could hinder the show’s chances internationally. It’s great Shonda and company proved the naysayers wrong. 5. No One Wanted To Be President During pilot season, most actors were spoken for and a lot of them were too expensive for the show. Tony Goldwyn was signed to a Fox pilot and Shonda called him as soon as he was dropped from the project, poaching him for some scandalous scenes with Kerry Washington. 6. Stephen, Is That You? Scott Foley was a favorite of Shonda’s while he was on Grey’s Anatomy. She killed his character off after telling him she wrote the role of Stephen for him. However, the network rejected him and went with Henry Ian Cusack, who got the role because of his international appeal.
