Robert Brian Clark Dies; Catfish Star Was 33

Robert Brian Clark, who appeared on a memorable episode of Season 2 of Catfish, has tragically died, MTV News confirms this week. He was just 33 years old. Clark, who went by “Brian” on  Catfish , was reportedly killed in a motorcycle accident in his native Jefferson County, Alabama. Local news reports described a tragic, harrowing scene. It’s not clear exactly how, but Brian was thrown from his motorcycle after he “became airborne while crossing a set of railroad tracks.” He was then hit by a car after landing on the highway. When the motorcycle came landed after being airborne, it landed on its side and Clark was ejected from the bike before being struck. The crash happened at 5 p.m. local time, and Clark was pronounced dead on the scene less than a half an hour afterward, at 5:20 p.m. Simply awful. According to reports, Brian passed away in December, but it appears that MTV only learned about, and mourned, his death this week. In 2013, Brian appeared on Catfish with Jesse Bettinger, a pretty blonde who was worried that Brian was not who he appeared to be. You can see a photo of the couple above. He’d been portraying himself as a Southern gentleman, but Jesse, unsure of who she was dealing with online, enlisted the Catfish crew. As she told  Nev Schulman , she had been stood up by Brian once before, after driving hundreds of miles to meet up with him no less. Brian later revealed that he missed their rendezvous because he was arrested for possessing a sawed-off shotgun that very same day. Nevertheless, the online relationship continued, and when Brian and Jesse eventually met on Catfish , well, he was who he said he was. That’s right, he was telling the truth all along. A catch-up special later revealed to fans that they did not end up together, though they continued dating one another after the episode. It’s not clear why they broke up, but Brian, a former U.S. Marine, had struggled with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for years. Jesse, now the mother of a two-year-old son, posted a tribute to Brian on Facebook, along with the caption, “I’ll never forget our good times.” “Your struggle is finally over,” she said. Scandal Shocker: Who May Be Dead?!?

By the lofty, suspenseful, bat $hit crazy and awesome standards set by Shonda Rhimes, Scandal Season 6 has been somewhat of a disappointment. Up until last night, the first half of this latest run could mostly be summed up by one sentence: Rowan killed Frankie Vargas. Aside from that development, nothing has really stood out on what has long been considered the most twisty and turny show on television. But then the final minute of Scandal Season 6 Episode 7 aired. And our jaws have remained on the floor ever since, having dropped completely at the hour’s stunning conclusion. As the build up to this cliffhanger, we witnessed Huck get close to Phoebe Neidhart’s Meg, the friend of Jennifer Fields, who was just revealed last week to still be alive. Meg demanded answers about her friend’s supposed death, specifically pushing for Olivia to assist her and asking all kinds of questions about the heroine of Huck. Following some hot and heavy floor sex, Huck attempted to shut this problem down by introducing Meg to Jennifer Fields, who, of course, isn’t actually dead. Problem solved, right? It appears to be when Jennifer seemed psyched to see her friend… until Meg took out a gun and shot her in the chest. From there, the episode leaped ahead to Meg having a sit-down with Abby in a park. “Is it done?” Abby asked, as viewers wondered whether she could truly be the traitor. After hearing the confirmation of Jennifer’s murder, Abby went ahead and really made us gasp with her follow-up and inquiry: “And Huck?” Ummm…. WHAT?!? Huh? Say it isn’t so, Abby! Please! The action then cut back to that hotel room Jennifer had been hiding out in, with Meg turning her weapon on Huck and shooting him directly in the chest. Numerous times.  “Don’t worry, Ms. Wheelan. He’ll have no idea you were part of this,” Meg told Abby at the park. Is that because Huck is dead? For real? It wouldn’t shock us is the character was wearing a bulletproof vest, but it also wouldn’t totally shock us if he’s gone forever. It’s been awhile since Scandal featured a major death. Huck, of course, was on a mission from Olivia to kill her dad and learned in the process that Rowan was told to kill Frankie by someone who threatened a person close to him. Moreover, this same individual had planted a mole by Olivia’s side who possessed the power to “say the word, and she’s dead.” Could this really be Abby? The series clearly wants us to believe it is right now. Little Girl Steals Pope’s Hat, Hearts of Everyone on the Internet

We've said it before and now we can say it again: Pope Francise for ALL the wins! The beloved gay rights supporter stepped out to meet fans St. Peter's Square in Rome on Wednesday, stopping at one point to say hello to a man and a young girl. The little girl was named Estella Westrick, she was three years old, she was in attendance with her godfather… and she stole The Pope's hat upon meeting him! She gave it back quickly, we should note, but not before the surrounding crowd let out a loud and awkward laugh. Would The Pope be angry? Would the man get in trouble? Would the toddler get kicked out of the area? HA! Of course not! This is Pope Francis! He took the incident in awesome stride! “Right before she went up she was a little nervous. Then she stole his hat. It was hilarious. Everyone was laughing, including the Pope,” Mountain Butorac told CNN, adding: “It's her first full day in Rome. Who knows what she will get up to tomorrow?” Hopefully something equally hilarious and viral! Watch the hilarious clip now!

Britney Spears Sex Tape: Actually on the Way?!

While many of her contemporaries have starred in homemade skin flicks, Britney Spears managed to avoid the sex tape craze of the late ’00s. (Brit showed an awful lot of bare flesh when she shaved her head , but that was an art film, not a porn, thankyouverymuch .) These days, Britney has a lucrative Vegas residency keeping her at home, and she’s living a life of (relatively) quiet domestic contentment. Her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James are 11 and 10 (!) and their mom, who turned 35 in December, largely keeps things on the DL. Thanks to the Internet, however, our wild days aren’t nearly as far behind us as we’d like to think. And the pop princess had some WILD days. According to celebrity gossip site Radar Online, a Britney Spears sex tape is currently being shopped around by an anonymous seller. This long-awaited footage, which Radar claims to have viewed and decided not to publish, reportedly shows Britney Spears fully nude.  And smoking a joint and “gyrating on top of a secret lover.” Smoking a joint while having sex? Really? We’re assuming this is bogus, but then again, at the height of her “f–k you, dad and Disney!” phase, it wouldn’t have been that outlandish. Not surprisingly, the website’s sources say Spears “is horrified this is happening to her after everything that she’s been through.” “She’s totally mortified and not coping well at all,” adds one insider, noting that the pop icon’s reputation is actually a big concern to her. Though her legacy seems pretty well cemented at this point, Britney reportedly fears that the emergence of a sex tape could undo it. Will this undo all that she’s worked for? “Every time she thinks she’s finally put the past to bed, something comes back to haunt her,” the Spears insider tells Radar . “A seedy sex tape is more than she can handle right now.” We like to picture a harried Brit setting down a bag of groceries, instructing her kids to wash up for dinner, then looking at her phone and being all like: “Dammit, not a seedy sex tape! Not today!” But in all seriousness, we can imagine her frustration, given the time that’s passed since she went off the rails and recovered so well. Britney is currently dating Sam Ashgari , and friends say she feels she’s finally found the contentment and stability she sought for so long. Excuse the pun, but since her teen years, life has been Chaotic . So much so, that last month, a god-awful Lifetime biopic  Britney Ever After  was released, chronicling her infamous dark period. The film even claimed the singer made a sex tape at the height of her fame, but like a Twitter-addicted president, no one took it seriously. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day though. Just saying. The fact that the dumbest biopic ever hacked up might soon be proven factually accurate could be the worst part of this whole thing. Matt Baier SLAMS Farrah Abraham: She’s a LOSER!

Back in December, the feud between Amber Portwood and Farrah Abraham came to a head when Amber’s fiance,  Matt Baier, attacked Farrah’s dad during a Teen Mom: OG reunion special. The consensus among fans is that Matt was way out of line, but it seems the Abrahams shouldn’t hold their breath awaiting an apology. As you may have heard, Baier is publishing a memoir , because who wouldn’t want to read about the inspirational saga of a forty-something Teen Mom obsessive weaseling his way onto the show he loves? The book has received a lot of attention due to the baffling decision to feature a nude Baier on the cover, but we now know that what’s inside the tell-all is almost as cringe-worthy. Excerpts from Baier’s book keep popping up online, and while we assume the “leaks” are choreographed PR stunts, we’re not so sure why the book’s publishers think posting large chunks of the book online is a good idea. From what we’ve read, the horrendously-titled You Have No F–king Idea is a lot like Baier himself – by turns boring and revolting, and stuck on the idea that a tendency to over-share can serve as a substitute for a personality. The latest leaks help illuminate Matt’s beef with Farrah Abraham, aka the most confusing reality show feud of all time. Farrah is openly and objectively a bad person, so we should be on board with anyone who calls her out on her bullsh-t, but Matt is just as much of a shameless opportunist, and his trash talk mostly amounts to slut-shaming and petty name-calling: “Everybody who comes into contact with Farrah seems to have ‘victimized’ her,” her writes at one point, before blaming Teen Mom producers for the fact that he and Farrah’s boyfriend, Simon Saran, aren’t besties: “An MTV producer told Amber and I to [insult Saran],” Baier writes before adding: “He loves to hide behind his computer and talk sh-t about what a tough guy he is.” On the topic of Farrah, Matt has this to say: “Is she interesting to watch? No. She’s not some unique, polarizing figure with passionate opinions. She’s just mean.” He’s not wrong. But then, as he always does, Matt takes it too far: “Farrah is going to be a sad, wretched excuse for a former television celebrity … Her family is going to turn their backs on her.” “They’re desperate for attention and fame … Think about the future Abrahams.” Matt then takes a break from conjuring up a sad future for Farrah to claim that she’s had too much work done for him to “find her attractive” and imply that she’s lying about being raped by James Deen . Scheana Shay Accuses Mike of Infidelity, Vanderpump Rules Reunion Taping EXPLODES in Scandal

It was all over for Scheana Marie Shay and Mike Shay in late November. Following weeks of rumors and innuendo regarding their marriage, the Vanderpump Rules star confirmed their divorce in a joint statement. “While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship,” the controversial couple said at the time. The reality star added: “Much of the recent speculation and reporting on our relationship has been misguided, and we have come to an amicable decision on all matters. “We might have failed at our marriage, [but] we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other’s personal happiness and professional success.” That was then, however. This is what has happened now: In a taping for the Vanderpump Rules Season 5 finale, Scheana came out this week and basically accused Mike of cheating on her. “Have you spoken to Shay at all?” Lisa Vanderpump asks Scheana backstage in a Bravo-sponsored clip. “I haven’t seen him since we filmed,” the reality star replied. “I think he’s going to be way more uncomfortable than I’m going to feel. I have a room of support and friends.” For years prior to their split, Mike Shay battled a substance abuse problem. In a 2015 episode of their popular reality series, Scheana Marie staged an intervention for her troubled man, but clearly it didn’t take, as Mike actually went missing for multiple days last fall. It was presumed at the time that he had fallen off the wagon and was on some kind of drug binge. It has also been presumed that this marriage fell apart as a result of Mike’s unfortunate dependency. But maybe not. “I caught him texting another girl,” Scheana claims at the reunion, to which Mike responds: “I can’t even look at you right now.” The three-part reunion special kicks off on Monday, April 3 and marks the first time the couple has seen each other since Scheana filed for divorce from the musician. It sounds as if things are about to get a lot worse between the stars before they get a lot better. If they get better at all. Scheana, as previously reported, is now dating Amber Valletta’s brother, Robert Valletta . The relationship appears to be getting serious, which is another awkward topic you can expect to be broached at the reunion. Will you be tuning in for this three-part special? Chuck Barris Dies; Legendary Game Show Host Was 87

Chuck Barris, the host and creator of The Gong Show, died Tuesday of natural causes at his home in Palisades, New York. He was 87 years old. The sad news has been confirmed by Barris’ publicist, Paul Shefrin. Barris made game show history in 1966 when he came up with the idea for The Dating Game, which was hosted by Jim Lange and which is still mentioned or parodied today on shows such as Saturday Night Live. The gimmick behind this show was simple: A young female (or male) contestant questioned three suitors of the opposite gender, each of whom was hidden from her view, in order to determine which would be the most ideal date. In nearly every case, the questions were designed by the show’s writers to elicit sexy/seductive/revealing answers. Such stars (or future stars) who appeared as guests included: Michael Jackson Arnold Schwarzenegger Steve Martin Farrah Fawcett, who was introduced as “an accomplished artist and sculptress” because she appeared prior to her big acting break in Charlie’s Angels. The game show quickly became a sensation on daytime and primetime television, leading to the creation of The Newlywed Game, The Parent Game, The Family Game and even The Game Game. At one point, Barris was responsible to television networks for 27 hours of entertainment a week, mostly in five-days-a-week daytime game shows. Game Show Network still airs a episodes of The Newlywed Game, which aired for 19 years. Between 1976 and 1980, Barris hosted The Gong Show himself, a talent competition that featured various acts (think America’s Got Talent) on stage and a panel of judges. If a judge did not like a certain act, he or she could ring a giant gong and the contestant on stage would be given the boot. In 1984, the native of Philadelphia wrote an autobiography titled “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind: An Unauthorized Biography.” It chronicled his alleged double life as a CIA assassin and was made into a 2002 movie that starred Sam Rockwell and which marked the directorial debut of George Clooney. Many believes that Barris had made this claim up, however. “It sounds like he has been standing too close to the gong all those years,” said CIA spokesman Tom Crispell, adding: “Chuck Barris has never been employed by the CIA and the allegation that he was a hired assassin is absurd.” Criticized by some throughout his professional run as “The Baron of Bad Taste,” Barris did well for himself in the end: he sold his company for $100 million in 1980. On the personal front, Barris’s first marriage, to Lynn Levy, ended in divorce. Their daughter, Della, tragically died of a drug overdose in 1998. He married his third wife, Mary, in 2000. DWTS Flashback: Kim Kardashian Fails Booty 101

If Kim Kardashian was given the option of erasing one video from all of history, you think she'd choose the Kim Kardashian sex tape . But we think you'd be mistaken. That Ray J-directed amateur porn has earned millions of dollars for the reality star, while the footage below has earned her nothing but derision and embarrassment. As Dancing with the Stars Season 24 gets set to premiere on ABC, we thought it would be fun to flashback for a few minutes and remember when Kim was actually a contestant back on Season 7. We understand if you forgot. She only lasted longer than two other competitors. And we knew Kim was in trouble when she told partner Mark Ballas that she wasn't even confident in the Mambo, a dance that mostly just asked Kardashian to shake her world famous rear end around the stage. “Everyone's gonna expect this, like, sexy thing and I'm really not,” Kim confessed during a pre-taped interview package with Ballas, adding at the time: “My biggest challenge with the mambo is just shaking my butt. Everyone thinks I know how and I just really don't. I think I need, like, Booty 101.” Alas, Kim would not have time to study up. Prince Charles: Ordering Prince Harry to Dump Meghan Markle?!

Earlier today, we reported that Meghan Markle may be planning to quit acting in order to move to London and focus on her relationship with Prince Harry. It’s not easy to leave behind the glamorous life of a regular on a basic cable legal drama beloved by retirees and the unemployable alike, but Harry and Meghan seem to be the real thing, and marrying into royalty is a pretty sweet deal in its own right. Some folks are still skeptical, given Harry’s history of serial monogamy, but he and Meghan appear to be getting serious.  After all, they’ve only been together a few months, but they’ve already reached the “BS rumors pregnancy rumors” stage, with several outlets reporting last week that Markle is expecting . But as many of Harry’s forebears have learned the hard way, royal romances are tricky matters that require consent from far more than just the two principle parties involved. According to Radar Online, one key member of the royal family is refusing to give Harry and Meghan the okay to take the next step in their relationship. Prince Charles may not seem much of an authority on marriage (His first is synonymous with “unhealthy relationship.”), but apparently, he and his second wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles, see potential for disaster in the Harkle reunion that the rest of us are missing. According to Radar the trouble began when Harry and Meghan traveled to Jamaica together for his friend’s wedding. It was their most public social occasion to date, and apparently, photos of his sun enjoying Meghan’s company rubbed Charles the wrong way. “This is the first time that she and Harry have socialized so openly as a couple and it’s a significant step in the relationship,” a royal source tells the site. Charles reportedly shared his misgivings with Harry, and predictably, a royal row ensued: “Harry was telling his father, Charles, to stay out of his life,” says the insider. So why does Charles find Meghan so objectionable? Well, according to the insider, Camilla pointed out to Charles what she sees as similarities between Meghan and infamous royal from the past: “Camilla likens Meghan to Fergie, who triggered public scandals with her running around and was photographed topless having her toes sucked by a boyfriend while still married to Charles’ brother Andrew.” The basis of the comparison seems to be nothing more than the fact that Markle is divorced and Fergie became divorced from Andrew. Someone sould fill Charles in on the fact that there are literally millions of divorced people in the world. In fact, he doesn’t have to look very far to find one. Kylie Jenner Spinoff Show: Actually Happening?!

Kylie Jenner has spent the past three years of her life slowly transforming into Kim Kardashian , and she may have just taken her biggest step yet toward becoming a full-blown Mini-Kim. No, she didn’t cut a basketball in half and stuff down the back of her pants. But she is taking a page from Kim’s playbook in terms of her next career move. No , we’re not talking about the long-rumored Kylie sex tape , either. Get your mind out of the gutter, hypothetical reader! What we mean to say is that Kylie is reportedly getting her own reality show. Yes, after years of playing second fiddle to her older sisters on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kylie is reportedly gearing up for a spinoff series that will focus primarily on her expanding business empire. “Kylie is so excited,” a source close to the family tells Radar Online. “It’s going to be all about building her business, and hiring people for her team.” Kylie’s business ventures include lucrative Instagram endorsements, a subscription-based website, and her wildly popular lip kit s . She recently announced plans to expand to a full cosmetics line. It makes sense Kylie would get into the spinoff game. After all, she’s arguably the most popular member of the Kardashian clan , and aside from Kendall (who’s busy with modeling), she’s the only one who hasn’t had a spinoff. Even reclusive Rob who previously refused to participate in the family’s existing reality series was given a show focusing on his relationship with Blac Chyna. Of course, all of this talk about a new show for Kylie has prompted further rumors that Keeping Up the Kardashians will soon be canceled . After all, Kylie is one of the series’ biggest draws, and with all of her many side gigs, it’s hard to imagine she’d have time to fully participate in two reality shows. Add to that the fact that the season 13 premiere last Sunday brought in the show’s lowest ratings to date, and it’s not hard to see why so many are convinced there won’t be a KUWTK Season 14. But no matter what happens with the show that made her family famous, one thing is for certain: Kylie will be just fine.
