Javi Marroquin Shares Staged Photo, Gushes Over Kids

Javi Marroquin may or may not have cheated on Kailyn Lowry with her best friend . And Javi Marroquin may or may not now be trolling for dates on Twitter . But Javi Marroquin is definitely happy to see his kids. The Teen Mom 2 star returned home from his deployment in the Air Force last month, walking in the door at one point and being greeted by his six-year old stepson, Isaac, and his two-year old biological son, Lincoln. Marroquin shared a photo of the reunion on Instagram and included with it a very sweet caption that reads: “My world in one picture.” Of course, the scene would be a tad more sentimental if we couldn’t so obviously see the MTV cameraman in the foreground, filming this supposedly spontaneous meeting. The staged set-up doesn’t make Isaac, holding a “Welcome Home” sign, any less adorable. Nor does it make Lincoln and his big smile any less precious. But when you know you’ll be able to watch Teen Mom 2 online next season and see this scenario play out, well… that takes away at least a little bit of the emotion. It feels more like a scripted moment than a true moment of parental joy. After several roller coaster months, Lowry and Marroquin finally confirmed their plans to divorce in May. Since then, Marroquin has been accused of stepping out on Lowry in multiple occasions, prompting the couple’s eventual split. Lowry, meanwhile, has been suspected of having a same-sex relationship with a woman actually named Becky Hayter . We’re not sure what to believe, except that this is all very hard on the two most important people involved here: Issac and Lincoln. Lowry shares custody of Isaac with her ex, Jo Rivera, who also appears on the hit MTV docuseries. But Marroquin has grown very close to the toddler. “[Isaac’s] my best friend,” Javi said during the June 20 reunion episode of Teen Mom 2, adding at the time that he wants “all of us to be together” and blaming Lowry’s stubbornness for their divorce. Although Lowry still contends she plans to dissolve the couple’s nearly four-year marriage, the 24-year old did welcome her estranged husband back home via a sweet message via social media. “Welcome back! @javim9,” she wrote on Instagram yesterday. Sadly, she wrote it as a caption to the same staged photo we’ve featured above. View Slideshow: Kailyn Lowry & Javi Marroquin Divorce: A Timeline of Destruction

Khizr Khan Speaks at DNC, Captures Heart of the Nation

Hillary Clinton became the first woman to ever accept a major party's nomination for President of the United States on Thursday night. It was a big deal. And, today, yet many people on the Internet are talking about someone they had never heard of prior to the Democratic National Convention, as opposed to this Presidential hopeful. Did you catch the speech of Khizr Khan? Khan's son, Humayun, was a captain in the U.S. Army. When a vehicle packed with explosives approached his compound in Iraq in 2004, he told his men to take cover as he ran toward it. It exploded and killed Khan on the spot, earning him a posthumous Bronze Star. Fast forward 12 years later and Khizr Khan and his wife taking the stage in Philadelphia. During a moving speech toward the end of the DNC, Khan paid tribute to his child; gave credit to Hillary Clinton; and offered a stark, brave repudiation of Donald Trump. “We are honored to stand here as the parents of Capt. Humayun Khan, and as patriotic American Muslims with undivided loyalty to our country,” Khizr Khan said to a standing ovation. He spoke of his son's dreams of becoming a military attorney and how Clinton had referred to his son as “the best of America.” And then he went after Trump. “If it was up to Donald Trump, [Humayun] never would have been in America,” Khan said. “Donald Trump consistently smears the character of Muslims. He disrespects other minorities, women, judges, even his own party leadership. He vows to build walls and ban us from this country.” He continued: “Donald Trum, you are asking Americans to trust you with our future. Let me ask you: Have you even read the U.S. Constitution? I will gladly lend you my copy.” With those words, he pulled a copy of the Constitution from his pocket. “In this document, look for the words 'liberty' and 'equal protection of law,'” he said, once again to a raucous ovation. Earlier this month, Trump promised congressional Republicans that he would defend “Article XII” of the Constitution. There is no such Article. “Have you ever been to Arlington Cemetery?” Khan said. “Go look at the graves of the brave patriots who died defending America — you will see all faiths, genders, and ethnicities. You have sacrificed nothing. And no one.” Pretty powerful stuff. Watch the full speech below:

Katy Perry Roars, Rises at Democratic National Convention

Katy Perry didn't need a colorful wig or revealing outfit to garner a lot of attention on Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention. The artist, who has been one of the most outspoken famous supporters of Hillary Clinton for months now, took to the stage in Philadelphia and first gave a brief, passionate speech. “Both my parents are pastors and staunch Republicans,” she said, adding: “I didn’t finish high school. Unfortunately, I don’t have a formal education, but I do have an open mind and I have a voice.” (NOTE: It's true about her parents. They aren't the biggest fans of their own daughter .) Perry continued: “I’m asking you to have an open mind, and to use your voice, because on November 8th, you’ll be just as powerful as any NRA lobbyist. “You’ll have as much say as any billionaire, or you can cancel out your weird cousin’s vote. “Here’s how I’m going to use my voice: I’m going to vote for Hillary Clinton. I love Hillary.” Perry and Clinton actually met up back during a book tour in 2014, with the beloved pop singer writing on Instagram afterward: “I told @hillaryclinton that I would write her a ‘theme’ song if she needs it…” Last year, Perry was there when Clinton celebrated her birthday, as the two teamed up for a campaign event in Iowa. On Thursday, meanwhile, Perry concluded her remarks and then performed in front of the thousands inside Wells Fargo Arena and the millions watching at home. She debuted the song “Rise” in public and she also broke into a rendition of her classic, “Roar.” Perry was just one of numerous of musicians to sing during the DNC this week. On Monday night, Demi Lovato gave a speech and performed at the convention on Monday, while Alicia Keys, Andra Day and Lenny Kravitz have all provided live entertainment as well. Watch Perry in action now:

He’s now in the hospital,” Nash tweeted to his 5.63 million followers, adding the hashtag “#PrayForHayes” to his message. It didn’t take long for this hashtag to go viral. In follow-up a series of follow-up Tweets, Nash kept fans as informed as he could be, writing of his sibling: “He can move & talk (thank god) but he’s coughed up a lot of blood. That’s all I know. Praying he has a quick recovery. “Damn I hate hearing s–t like that on the phone, scared me to death.” About an hour later, Nash actually shared a screenshot of a text exchange (which he captioned with “Phew”) with more specific news regarding Hayes’ health. It’s unclear who was on the other side of the exchange, but it appears to be someone at the hospital and it reads as follows: “Your brother is pretty busted up right now. Luckily no major stuff. All scans came back negative for any internal bleeding. “He does have a concussion, fractured top two ribs and bruised lung on one side. He is in a lot of pain.” Hayes Grier is only 16 years old. Justin Bieber Turns Down MASSIVE Payday, Sticks It to GOP

Unlike Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and Lenny Kravitz, Justin Bieber did not perform at the Democratic National Convention this week. But that doesn’t mean the singer didn’t make his political leanings very well known. He just did so in a more subtle manner. And a more impressive manner, some might argue. According to TMZ, Bieber was offered $5 MILLION to perform at a Republican-sponsored event during last week’s Republican National Convention. The performance would not have taken place at Quicken Loans Arena, where the gathering was held, but at a venue nearby. Insiders tell TMZ that the offer was made to CAA, Bieber’s talent agency, and that a promoter got in touch with Bieber’s people to ask if Justin would sing in Cleveland for about 45 minutes. (For those doing the math, that comes out to over $100,000 per minute.) The promoter tried to assure Bieber that the concert would not be political in any way; that he would not be asked to endorse Donald Trump or discuss policy or anything of that nature. But the event would have been bankrolled by GOP donors. Moreover, Bieber would be paid up front and the donors would cover all production costs. It would have been the single biggest payday of all-time for Justin Bieber. And he turned it down. Sources tell TMZ that Bieber did ponder the offer for a bit. He’s Canadian, after all, and could have argued that he doesn’t have much of a stake in an American election. But Bieber’s manager and close friend, Scooter Braun, is a huge Hillary Clinton supporter. He even held a fundraiser for her at his Los Angeles mansion. Braun and others at CAA believed that, regardless of the impressions they were given, the event would have been “100 percent political.” Scooter reportedly tried to negotiate with the promoter who made the offer, asking, for instance, if Bieber could hang a “Black Lives Matter” banner inside the venue while he performed. But the answer was no. And it was also made clear that Bieber could not insult Trump in any way at the show. Still… Bieber was the person who made the final decision. He actually spoke with LeBron James in order to do so because Conservative insider told Justin that the famous basketball player would also be appearing in Cleveland last week; also in a non-endorsement capacity. But LeBron told Bieber this was incorrect information. He was staying far away from his adopted hometown during the Republican National Convention. In the end, with Bieber’s all-African-American band also being turned off by the possibility, Bieber turned down the invitation. Pretty cool, huh? Pretty interesting to go inside the machinations of a political campaign and how it tries to recruit celebrities to its cause… … and even cooler of Bieber to say no to such a massive payday. Hillary Clinton at the DNC: What Did She Say?

Hillary Clinton has accepted the nomination for President of the United States. This was the most expected part of the speech she delivered on Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention. What else did she say about America and about her opponent, Donald Trump. Scroll down for the highlights: 1. Bill of Goods On Tuesday night, I was so happy to see that my explainer in chief is still on the job. 2. Kaine is Able For those of you out there who are just getting to know Tim Kaine, you will soon understand why the people of Virginia keep promoting him from city council to mayor, to governor and now senator and he will make our whole country proud as our next vice president. 3. Feeling the Bern Bernie, your campaign inspired millions of Americans, particularly the young people who do their hearts and souls into our primary. You put economic and social justice issues brought and center where they belong. 4. Taking Aim at Trump He wants to divide us from the rest of the world and from each other. He is betting that the perils of today’s world will blind us to its unlimited promise. He is taken the Republican party a long way from mourning in America to midnight in America. He wants us to fear the future and fear each other. 5. It Takes a Village Freedom and equality justice and opportunity — we should be so proud those words are associated with us …When people here those words they hear America, so don’t let anyone tell you our country is weak, we’re not. … And most of all, don’t believe anyone who says ‘I alone can fix it.’ 6. Who Am I? I’ve been your first lady, I’ve served eight years as a senator for the great state of New York and then I represented all of you as secretary of state, but my job titles only tell you what I’ve done, they don’t tell you why. The truth is through all these years … the service part has always come easier to me than the public part … I get it that some people just don’t know what to make of me. View Slideshow

Chloe Grace Moretz Sets Aside Khloe Kardashian Feud to Endorse Hillary Clinton

Last night, Hillary Clinton accepted the Democrat’s nomination and became the first female major-party candidate in United States history. It was a historic moment, and some of Hollywood’s biggest stars were on hand to celebrate. Bradley Cooper was at the DNC to support Clinton and prove once and for all that he is not actually an American sniper. View Slideshow: Bradley Cooper Attends DNC, Causes Total Republican Meltdown Katy Perry sang at the convention and sadly, she didn’t take advantage of the opportunity to throw shade at Taylor Swift. Katy was an apt choice, as like Clinton, she has experience butting heads with a privileged blonde who weirdly appeals to Southerners. Speaking of feuds, Chloe Grace Moretz – who, over the past week, has become wrapped up in an increasingly ugly war with Khloe Kardashian  – took time to encourage young people to register to vote. The 19-year-old actress shared the story of her own registration process and offered some inspiring words on what it meant: Chloe Grace Moretz at the DNC “It took just a minute,” she said, “but it gave me the power of a lifetime, the power to make my voice heard and to shape the future of our country.” “So just imagine, imagine what can happen if we all make our voices heard this November at the ballot box,” the Kick-Ass star said. “We can elect a president who will fight to give every American a chance to graduate from college debt-free. We can elect a president who will fight for equal pay for equal work.” Inspiring stuff that’s reminiscent of Kendall Jenner’s “get out the vote” campaign. All-in-all, it must have been a confusing night for the Kardashian-Jenner clan. A candidate that Kim endorsed accepted the nomination; a singer they’re friends with gave the performance, but someone that Khloe’s been harassing on Twitter gave one of the night’s most talked-about speeches. This election is tearing the family apart, and someone needs to make the Kardashians great again! Just kidding, they were never great. View Slideshow: Hillary Clinton at the DNC: What Did She Say?

Sarah Silverman Delivers Line of the DNC

In an election that features one side running the former host of Celebrity Apprentice, it's only fitting that a comedian delivered what may have been the line of the Democratic National Convention on Monday night, right? To open primetime coverage of the event, Sarah Silverman stood alongside Senator Al Franken. The two awkwardly riffed for a few moments, often hearing chants of “Bernie! Bernie!” throughout the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. These chants emanated from extremely loyal Bernie Sanders supporters. They were so loyal, in fact, and some felt so strongly that their candidate deserved to be the Democratic nominee over Hillary Clinton, that some vowed to either not vote for Clinton or even vote for Donald Trump. Which seems like utter insanity for a Democrat to do. That's where Silverman came in on Monday. One of the most outspoken Bernie Sanders supporters during his primary race, the comedian could not handle the madness for another moment. “Can I say something? To the ‘Bernie or Bust’ people, you’re being ridiculous,” she said. As you can see below, the remark was mostly met with loud cheers. Soon enough, however, the “Bernie!” chants started up again and Silverman was forced to quip: “Thank God they can fix this in post.” That's a pretty great line (the speech aired live, of course). What do you think of Silverman's quote? Is it her place to make such a judgment? Does the Sanders crowd have a right to be upset and voice their opinion? Or, in the name of party unity, should they suck it up at this point and vote for a candidate who still shares many more values with Sanders than Donald Trump? Watch Silverman deliver her line below and then watch the reaction of those in attendance:

Michelle Obama DNC Speech: An Instant Classic

Yes, Sarah Silverman may have delivered the single line that stood out the most on Monday night at the Democratic National Convention. But Michelle Obama delivered the speech that will stand the test of time. Framing the argument for this election not around party lines, but around “who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives,” Obama endorsed Hillary Clinton in the most passionate way possible. Speaking candidly about Sasha and Malia, Obama brought up the topic of bullying, a clear reference to Republican nominee Donald Trump. “We don't stoop to their level. Our motto is: 'When they go low, we go high,'” she said. Words matter, she said. Actions matter. When she and her husband moved into the White House years ago and and their 10-year old and their 7-year old went off to school with armed Secret Service agents, Obama recalled: “I saw their little faces pressed up against the window and all I could think was, 'What have we done?'”  Ever since then, she had focused primarily on making this experience into an important one for her kids. “We urge them to ignore those who question their father's citizenship or faith,” she said. “We insist that the hateful language they hear from public figures on TV does not represent the true spirit of this country.” Obama used this angle as a way to segue into why Clinton needs to be elected President. “What I admire most about Hillary is she never buckled under pressure,” the First Lady said. “Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in her life. “When I think of the kind of president I want for my girls and all our children, that's what I want – the proven strength to persevere.” Later on, Obama talked emotionally about how the White House was built by slaves. About how her two African-American daughters now play on its lawn with their dog. And about how the Republicans spent their Convention trying to tell viewers about all the awful things now going on in the country. “Don't let anyone ever tell you that this country isn't great,” she said in a pointed reference to Trump's campaign slogan. “This, right now, is the greatest country on earth.” The speech was lauded as one of the all-time best on social media. And a certain Commander-in-Chief clearly liked it: It made you understand why someone might want to plagiarize Michelle Obama . Prepare for some waterworks, and don't be ashamed if you stand and cheer at one point, as you watch the full Michelle Obama speech from the DNC below:
