For the basketball game match between BYU and Florida, BYU won with a final score of 30-5. BYU definitely outperformed Florida here. For the match between Kansas St. and North Texas, Kansas St. won defeating North Texas with a final score of 27-7. With Kansas State winning by 20 (Final Four, here we come!) and St. Mary’s up by 12 with 2 minutes left, UTEP-Butler is the last remaining game on the board of interest. Diddy, Rick Ross, More Join Waka Flocka Flame On Video Set

A crew including Fabolous, Shanell, DJ Green Lantern and more show support for Waka on Atlanta set of ‘O Let’s Do It’ remix. By Shaheem Reid Waka Flocka Flame (file) Photo: MTV News A host of guest stars came down to Waka Flocka Flame’s video set at Atlanta’s Central Station to shoot the clip for his upcoming “O Let’s Do It” remix. Diddy, Rick Ross and Fabolous all rap on the track, while Young Money’s Shanell and Lil Chuckee, Jazze Pha, Lyfe Jennings, DJ Green Lantern and DJ Trauma came down to show support. Of course a highlight was Diddy sitting on top of a Rolls Royce Phantom wearing a fur coat, gold teeth and speaking his clout: “Bi—es come in combos/ Pictures of Christopher on my wall all in my condo/ I don’t f— with fake ho’s/ All I touch is J.Lo’s/ All I drink is my sh–/ Ciroc by the caseloads.” Diddy’s verse has been getting heavy love in the ATL. “Puff Daddy went ham!” Waka told MTV News last month. “Rick Ross went ham! Gucci, that’s my partna — I ain’t even know he jumped on that. He went ham. That’s like the only people I heard jump on it. They went crazy. I respected them for that. I got the official remix. Puff on there, Rick Ross and Gucci. I feel their verses were crazy. Puff went crazy!” Waka — who has dealt with a rough 2010 so far, suffering a gunshot wound in January after a robbery attempt and a recent arrest for probation violation in Houston — debuted his new jewelry pieces in the clip, an iced-out Gumby and Pokey. Remember Me Movie Reviews: Not Good

Well, there’s always Eclipse . While Robert Pattinson fans are excited over that movie’s first official trailer , we have some sobering news: movie critics have responded harshly to the actor’s first starring role as an actual human being. Most of the Remember Me reviews are more critical of the script and the story than of the performances by Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin, but the following excerpts can’t be what anyone associated with the film wishes to hear: A small, dense chamber study of unhappy people looking for hope in the darkness, often literally. – Houston Chronicle I hate the ending. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it more than Kim Basinger hates Alec Baldwin. I hate more than Garfield hates Mondays.

Lil Wayne Going To Jail Is Like Elvis Being Drafted, Bun B Says

‘I don’t think anything like this has happened in music since Elvis got drafted into the Army,’ he says. By Shaheem Reid Bun B Photo: MTV News Bun B has been friends with Lil Wayne since he was a teenager. The Houston legend said having Wayne out of the music game for a year will be a greater loss than people are realizing. “I feel bad, because I don’t think anything like this has happened in music since Elvis got drafted into the Army,” Bun B said. ” … Let’s just keep it real: Lil’ Wayne is not just the biggest rapper, Lil Wayne is the biggest pop star right now. Maybe Susan Boyle is on his level. But when you talk about music, nine times out of 10, Lil Wayne’s name is gonna come into the conversation. I feel bad for any brother or any sister that’s gotta go to jail. I feel especially bad for a person like Lil Wayne who’s really riding the wave right now. But he don’t have a lot of time. He’s doing it on the Island . As wild and as ill as the Island is, I think at the same time, he’ll be all right. When you in that state jail and you dealing with those lifers, you got a lot of other issues at hand.” While in jail , Wayne should just focus on serving his time productively and not worry about fellow inmates, Bun said. , Wayne should just focus on serving his time productively and not worry about fellow inmates, Bun said. “I don’t think it will be smart for him to go to general population,” he said. “A person like Lil Wayne doesn’t have to prove anything to anybody in general population exposing themselves to that yard. It’s not about being real. It’s too many people who have way too much to gain, and [there is] so much he could lose by trying to prove something. … That’s nota good look. … It’s a little bit different when a person like Lil Wayne goes to jail. All we can do is pray for him. Pray for his spirit.” Bun, who championed his late musical brother Pimp C years ago when Pimp was in prison, said he admires the attitude Wayne’s musical family has in this tough time. “I just left Miami. People [were] trying to keep their heads up and sprits up while the young man was around, but they are hurting,” Bun said. “One thing I noticed from the Young Money camp is that they’re not being down because of their careers and they’re worried about a co-sign. They are worried about a friend. That’s what I see from Drake, Nicki, Stunna. … These people are concerned about a friend going to prison.” Related Videos Lil Wayne Goes To Jail: Celebs React Related Photos Lil Wayne’s Battle With His Gun Possession Case Related Artists Bun B Lil Wayne

Bun B Talks Pimp C Tribute With Jay-Z

He also gives it up for French Montana: ‘If you know French Montana, that means you been somewhere.’ By Shaheem Reid Bun B Photo: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images NEW YORK — Bun B gives all the credit to Jay-Z for their onstage tribute to Pimp C earlier this week in Houston. During a stop of the Blueprint 3 Tour in H-Town, Bun joined Jigga for “Big Pimpin’,” and the two let the crowd recite the late Pimp C’s rhymes. “It was Jay’s tribute,” said Bun, who was in NYC on Wednesday night filming the video for French Montana’s “Bad Habits.” “I don’t want anybody to get it twisted. Jay-Z was a very good friend of mine and Pimp C. He makes sure every time he comes to Houston, it’s a big thing, and we can really give it up to Pimp. He doesn’t want to do it for himself, and it’s not about giving me shine. At the end of the day, we have to make sure in Houston, when that song is performed, at the end of the day, Pimp C gets the biggest moment. The biggest moment was when everybody in the audience and ourselves had to give it up to the Pimp.” Bun sees the close kinship he shared with Pimp in French Montana and incarcerated MC Max B . “French knows everybody,” Bun said about why he wanted to work with one of the newest signees to Akon’s Konvict Music. “If you know French Montana, that means you been somewhere. French is everywhere. All the big parties, all the cities, Super Bowl, All-Star Weekend. Whenever somebody got the fly release party or some celebrity debutante has the big birthday party, French is in the building. I respected that about him. I met him in Miami, I was like, ‘I like your grind. You getting out here. You not just representing for yourself, but for your man Max B. as well.’ For me, to see somebody hold their man down while they’re locked up, to me, that’s special. I guess I’m a little bit biased.” French’s video is for a track from his mixtape Mac Wit Da Cheese II. Montana’s debut LP is slated to be called Excuse My French. Meanwhile, Bun has gone back in the lab to work on his next LP, Trill O.G. “Unfortunately, we’re going to end our relationship with Asylum,” Bun explained of his Rap-A-Lot distribution deal. Bun does credit executives at Asylum, such as Joie Manda and Todd Moscowitz, for “success in later years.” “The Warner Bros. building is changing a little bit, but we have some good friends at Fontana Music as well as Universal,” he said. “It’s looking like we may do that. While J. Prince and the big people are taking care of the paperwork, making sure the money is right. It’s giving me a chance to go in, fine-tune the music and work with people I thought I wouldn’t be able to work with on this album. Now I have the opportunity to go back in. I told [J.] that wherever he wanna go, I’m riding with him.” Related Artists Bun B Jay-Z Pimp C

Publicist Claims: Whitney Houston is Just Fine, Thanks

These days, Whitney Houston sounds like Britney Spears and looks like Courtney Love. We wish this singer the best, but watch her sing in Australia. She’s an absolute mess. But that’s actually not true, publicist Kristen Foster somehow claims. She told E! News yesterday: “Whitney is in great health and having a terrific time on her tour and with her fans. There were over 9,000 people at her show in Brisbane, and there were over 12,000 at Acer Arena last night in Sydney. Her fans were dancing and singing along with her and Whitney appreciates their support.” But with Whitney stopping mid-song to take water breaks, and actually having back-up singers hit the high notes on “I Will Always Love You,” many concert-goers have been anything but supportive. One audience member told Asiancorrespondent.com that Houston “couldn’t entertain a dead rat,” which may be our favorite quote of the decade. The Sydney Morning Herald tried to offer Whitney a few props, citing her “incoherence,” but saying those in attendance eventually “warmed to her.” Sadly, at this point in her once-incredible career, this passes for high praise for Houston.

Whitney Houston Humiliates Herself in Concert

Remember when Whitney Houston was an incredible singer with a slew of number-one hits? If were born after 1992, the answer is probably: Whitney who?!? The crooner is attempting a comeback this year, performing a number of concerts in Australia. Following a stop in Brisbane this week, however, the tour is off to a worse start than last week’s Tiger Woods’ press conference . Thousands of fans walked out in the middle of the show, after Houston humilated herself with the following version of “I Will Always Love You.” In between coughing fits and flat notes, a back up singer actually sung the high parts. Amazing. Depressing… Whitney Houston in Concert How does Andrew McManus, Whitney’s tour manager, defend his client, who has an entire European tour ahead of her this spring? By admitting she’s totally washed up, but trying really, really hard. “[She] is now up on stage, warts and all, presenting herself like an open book for the world to see,” McManus said. “If they expected to hear the Whitney of 20 years ago, go buy a CD. If they want to see a true professional artist give 100%, come along and enjoy the ride of an amazing talent, on stage, letting her heart and soul out.” She’s also letting a lot of phlegm out in the clip above. Houston should probably get that checked out.

Lupe Fiasco To Preview New LP On Forthcoming Tour

Concerts will highlight material from MC’s forthcoming LP, We Are Lasers. Lupe Fiasco Photo: Johnny Nunez/WireImage Lupe Fiasco is following his participation in Kenna’s trek up Mount Kilimanjaro with a trek of his own: a he’s announced via LupeFiasco.com. [The jaunt begins in Claremont, California, and comes after the rapper’s recent performance in New Zealand, where he introduced new material from his forth-coming third LP, We Are Lasers, slated for release later this year. “This will be the first time we actually performed a lot of the new songs of off the new record, so it’s exciting,” Fiasco told New Zealand’s 3 News of his show. Though there’s no “We Are Lasers” single yet, Fiasco says the LP, the title of which he describes as representing “chaos, anarchy, rebelling against the system and individuality,” is completed and submitted to his parent label. ” Lasers [is coming] soon,” said the MC. “It’s on my label Atlantic, so they have it, it’s finished. I’m just waiting for them to give me a release date to put it out.” And since he’s threatened to quit the rap game in the past, the Chicago rapper allayed fears by saying he’s got a little bit more juice in him. “I think the ‘Lupe Fiasco’ show is almost coming to … the middle,” said the rapper. “Everything from here on out will be the grand closing.” In addition, Fiasco says he’s working on a book, that he’ll release under his given name Wasalu Muhammad Jaco. “I started as a writer. Since I was a little kid, I’ve been telling stories. Actually hip-hop has just been an extension of me telling stories, so putting it in a more traditional form as far as a book has always been a part of the plan,” he added. Of course, Fiasco will be featured on MTV’s “Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro” a 90-min documentary depicting musicians Kenna, Santigold, actors Jessica Biel, Emile Hirsch and Isabel Lucas and a group of scientists and activists on their journey to the top of the highest peak in Africa as they learn about water issues and climb through snow, sleet, rain and treacherous terrain on their way to 19,340 feet. The climb is an effort to raise awareness about the global clean-water crisis and the “Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro” airs on March 14 at 9 p.m. Lupe Fiasco’s tour dates, according to his Web site:

I wouldn’t want to be with someone who wasn’t unique.” Duff also told the magazine they have a surprisingly “natural” relationship. “We both have busy jobs and we’re both very focused people, so that helps,” she said. “Since we are apart so much, it’s not like one person is at home waiting for the other.” According to People.com , Duff, who has said she read “Hockey for Dummies” to better understand her beau, has become a fixture at his games. ‘American Idol’ Castoff Angela Martin Gets Big Surprise From Ellen DeGeneres

DeGeneres surprises Martin by promising her a Kara DioGuardi song, aims for label deal. By Hillary Crosley Angela Martin on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Friday Photo: Warner Bros. “American Idol” contestant Angela Martin may have lost the competition, but her resilience earned her a helping hand from talk show host and fourth “Idol” judge Ellen DeGeneres on Friday (February 19). Martin made it to the Hollywood round of the show, but wasn’t selected to continue on to the final competition. “I was preparing myself to be strong and talk to you guys, but then I saw the pictures of my daughter and I just fell apart,” Martin, 28, told DeGeneres. “Like, if I fail, how am I gonna tell her Mommy didn’t make it?” However, after her dismissal, DeGeneres invited the young mother, whose daughter is 10, to appear and perform on her talk show. Martin sang a rendition of Alicia Keys ‘ “Superwoman” with musical accompaniment by “American Idol” pianist and background musician Michael Orland and received a standing ovation from the audience. “Everybody knows your name now,” said DeGeneres. “Everybody is on your side. People are calling me going, ‘What happened? She was amazing!’ ” (MTV News’ “American Idol” expert Jim Cantiello feels the same way .) For that reason, DeGeneres recruited the talent of “Idol” judge and hit songwriter Kara DioGuardi to surprise the vocalist. “I have a little surprise for you: Kara DioGuardi is going to write you a song,” DeGeneres told a surprised Martin. “You’re going in a studio. She’s going to produce a song for you and we’re gonna get you a record label [deal]!! See how things turn out?” While today was a dream come true for the Chicago native, life has not always been so kind. During her first audition, the singer’s father was murdered by her stepmother and her daughter suffers from Rett Syndrome, which causes seizures. Finally, her mother, Viola Brown Martin, has been missing since December 26. Still, Martin is upbeat and says she relies on prayer to raise her spirits. “You have had your share of really bad luck and some sad things happening in your life, but your attitude is so amazing because you keep getting back up,” DeGeneres told Martin. “You represent something to a lot of people out there. They’re going to look at you and say ‘if she can do it I can do it.’ You don’t let anything get you down, I love that about you. Don’t ever give up! Never!” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions.
