Source: Michael Short / Getty Oprah Is Donating $2 Million To Charities In Puerto Rico Oprah Winfrey is joining in on the efforts to help Puerto Rico in the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The island has not yet fully recovered from the 2017 storm, which caused 3,000 deaths and billions of dollars in damage. The people of Puerto Rico need all the help they can get, and because of that, Oprah is donating $2 million — $1 million to Hispanic Federation and another $1 million to the Flamboyan Arts Fund, according to reports from The Oprah Magazine. “I was so moved by Lin-Manuel Miranda’s commitment to bring ‘Hamilton’ to Puerto Rico and support the community that served him growing up that I wanted to join in the revitalization efforts of an island so rich in culture, beauty, and heritage,” the mogul said in a statement. “The needs of Puerto Rico and our fellow American citizens following the tragic hurricanes are still very real, and the work that has already been done by the Hispanic Federation, Flamboyan Arts Fund and other organizations on and off the island is long from over.” Winfrey and her best friend Gayle King traveled to Puerto Rico to watch a performance of Hamilton earlier this year. Since the destruction of the hurricane, recovery and fundraising efforts have been coming steadily from a lot of stars, including Scarlett Johansson, Daddy Yankee, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, and so many more. The people of Puerto Rico still need a lot of help, but Oprah’s recent donation will definitely be a huge step in the right direction.

At one point, a question from a producer appears to make Nicole walk away and call Azan for a serious, semi-private discussion. We won’t know what happens until we watch the new season, which begins on April 28. Did Azan cheat on Nicole? Cheating is a known and widely feared risk in relationships, especially long-distance romances. But allow us to present another theory. Nicole had notably saved up money — a difficult endeavor — while working here in the States. She then gave a lot of that to Azan as an investment in a shop that he intends to open in Morocco. Is it possible that he did something with the money other than what Nicole had intended? If so, that would explain the serious tension. But that is purely speculation, in part because we cannot imagine giving thousands of dollars to someone we haven’t yet been able to marry. Especially not in Nicole’s situation. She’s a mother and she works hard for her cash. Now, maybe we’re being paranoid, or maybe Nicole is just a fool in love like so many others have been over the years. But she and Azan do seem to have something very genuine between them, despite their story’s ups and downs. Tuesday, the city will elect the very first Black female mayor of the city as both candidates, Lori Lightfoot and Toni Preckwinkle, are Black women. Despite the sistahood invovled in this historical campaign, things did get VERY contentious with questions of racial authenticity, negative campaign ads, and public name-calling according to USAToday . The heated race has lead leaders like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to call for the two sides to agree to a “unity pledge” press conference on Wednesday morning after the election. “The race was competitive and often divisive,” Jackson said. “The race ends Tuesday. The healing must begin Wednesday morning.” Based on the polls, it looks like Lightfoot has a HUGE lead on Preckwinkle at 53% to 17% and the former recently compared the latter to the most disgusting of creatures… “It’s like cockroaches – there’s a light that’s shined on them,” Lightfoot said at an event where she signed an ethics pledge and took her shot at Preckwinkle and the other candidates. “They scramble.” Lightfoot, who is also part of the LGBTQ community, might have residual vitriol that stems from rhetoric far more incendiary than political name-calling… Lightfoot, who is a lesbian and would be the city’s first openly LGBTQ mayor, questioned whether Preckwinkle “was blowing some kind of dog whistle” to conservative voters after the county board president brought up her sexual orientation at a debate. (Should Lightfoot win, Chicago will become the largest city to be led by an LGBTQ person.) We’re glad to see that there are two Black women who are passionately chasing the highest office in The Windy City. Hopefully, that healing that Rev. Al and Jesse are calling for can be achieved.

When it launches the service will feature over 100 exclusive titles and a bevy of cool features, but we don’t know exactly how much it will cost you. Apple Arcade’s primary focus is to help gamers discover new games which used to be a task in the App Store because there is just so many to choose from once you start searching. Apple Arcade will give subscribers a new tab to explore the games that would otherwise get buried in the App Store. Part of the money that comes from the subscriptions will help fund the developers who made the games. Once you are subscribed the games will be all-you-can-play meaning outside of the subscription fee, you won’t have to dish out an additional penny for DLC or any other updates. You will also be able to play all titles offline, so if you are always on the go, this is a huge deal. Subscribers can also play the games across Apple’s family of devices which includes, iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple TV and can even pick up exactly where you left off in the game before you switched the device. As far as games are concerned Apple did show a glimpse of a new Sonic game, a reimagined version of the Arcade classic Frogger. Apple has done some heavy recruiting as far as studios are concerned with Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, Lego, MIstwalker Corporation, Sega, Snowman, ustwo games, and others helping bring exclusive titles to the service. Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Ken Wong, and Will Wright are all on board to help deliver unique titles out the 100 that are coming when the service launches in this fall. Again no price has been revealed, but we are definitely curious to see how Apple Arcade will stack up against Google’s recently announced Stadia video game streaming service. We have an important update on the sad death of Kristoff St. John. Over a month since the shocking loss of this soap opera star, the coroner’s office has released its official autopsy results, alerting the public to the reason St. John passed away back on February 3. This coroner’s report has listed the cause of death as “hypertrophic heart disease” with “effects of ethanol” cited as another significant condition. The document also deems the death accidental and says other conditions contributing , but not related to the immediate cause of death, included myocardial bridging of the left anterior descending coronary artery and the effects of ethanol. The 52-year-old – best known for his long-running role on The Young and the Restless – was found dead in his home in the neighborhood of Woodland Hills about six years ago. It was believed at the time that an excess of alcohol consumption had played a role in this tragedy… but the cause of his death was deferred by the Los Angeles County Coroner until an ” additional investigation ” was finished. St. John’s passing came more than four years after his son, Julian, died by suicide following treatment for mental health issues. In November of 2017, meanwhile, St. John opened up about his own mental health struggles after being hospitalized and undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. “To all of mi [sic] IG peeps. Thanks for throwing out a life preserver,” he wrote on Instagram about a year and a half ago, adding: “Words cannot express the gratitude that I feel to have so much love that you bathe me in…anoint me with…cloak me with. I am humbled.” He added: “Life is precious. I look forward to continuing this journey together with all of you…us. Because at the end of the day, at the magic hour, we are warmed with an all knowing presence of light and love. My heart beats to the music of our creation. “You are an integral piece of my personal spiritual puzzle, as I hope I am to yours. I love you…forever.” According to these newly-unveiled autopsy papers, Kristoff was admitted to Las Encinas Mental Health Hospital in Pasadena on January 26, 2019 for “threatening to hurt himself and alcohol abuse.” He returned to his Woodland Hills home from the mental health facility on February 1, just two days prior to his death, the report detailed. There’s no way of knowing what was going through St. John’s head just before he died, in other words, but he clearly had been struggling for a period of time prior to his death. The actor who originated the role of Neil Winters on the aforementioned daytime drama. He was a leged in this industry. “The news of Kristoff St. John’s passing is heartbreaking. He was a very talented actor and an even better person,” CBS Television Network and Sony Pictures Television said in a joint statement, adding: “For those of us who were fortunate enough to work with him on The Young and the Restless for the last 27 years, he was a beloved friend whose smile and infectious laugh made every day on set a joy and made audiences love him. “On behalf of the Y&R cast and crew, CBS and Sony Pictures Television, we offer our heartfelt sympathy to his family and loved ones, especially his two daughters, Paris and Lola.” The actor is survived by fiancée Kseniya Mikhaleva, ex-wives Mia St. John and Allana Nadal and two children: Paris, his daughter with Mia; and Lola, his daughter with Nadal. Earlier in March, Mikhaleva, said she would not be able to attend his funeral. “Several weeks ago I applied for an ’emergency’ visa for the funeral to say goodbye my fiancé and beloved,” she wrote on Instagram. “The reply from the Embassy was ‘No’. My heart is broken.” She concluded: “I am going through this with a huge pain in my heart,and realize that I don’t have opportunity to say goodbye to him and put flowers on his grave.
