Paola Mayfield and Russ aren’t exactly blissful — the 90 Day Fiance couple’s relationship has had its ups and downs. As you might recall, conservative Russ took issue with Paola Mayfield’s topless photos . After one bit of friction that the two experienced on camera, Paolo posted a photo of the two looking very happy. But … it looks like she’s trying to start a feud with another star of the show: Anfisa Arkhipchenko. Paola captioned the above photo with a reference to a scene from the latest episode, where her friend Juan had poked a little fun at Russ. “I’m sorry I didn’t back you up with @juan_a_palacio” That’s simple enough, right? An unnecessary apology (but maybe she just did it to save face after the episode?). But that wasn’t all that she has to say: “But you know I would never strike you.” That might seem like a strange or alarming phrase, right? Usually, that kind of denial is a huge red flag about someone’s relationship. But we don’t think that Paola was talking about their relationship at all. She was almost certainly shading her fellow 90 Day Fiance star, Anfisa Arkhipchenko. Anfisa Arkhipchenko is perhaps best described as a “nightmare gold digger.” She’s Russian and she came to the US and married Jorge Garcia with the expectation that she would live like a princess on his wealth. And Anfisa is probably pretty enough to be someone’s trophy wife, right? To say that she’s been “disappointed” to learn that Jorge is in debt is an understatement. She’s not even subtle about the fact that she wants money. And Paola’s singling her out without even saying her name. As for the “I would never strike you,” line … Jorge and Anfisa sat down to negotiate a postnup. Because Anfisa doesn’t want to absorb Jorge’s debt. (Though she’s fine with spending his money) After the two of them are left alone to talk, they both get frustrated. Jorge suggests that, from the way that she’s acting, Anfisa might not be mature enough for this discussion. Instead of replying like an actual person, Anfisa tries to hit him in the face. Jorge deflects it with his arm, but that’s really not the point. Hitting somebody is assault. Hitting your spouse is domestic violence. (By the way, TLC aired the footage! Of what is clearly a crime!) Jorge has his own issues — lying about his finances, for starters. (Also, if she’s too immature to talk about finances, isn’t she too immature to marry, even if she is 21 years old?) But nobody needs to get hit. TLC is the network that exposes the world to the Duggars, and thus to that unrepentant creep Josh Duggar. We guess that Anfisa Arkhipchenko must feel right at home among her fellow nightmares who should never be allowed around human beings or non-human animals. But TLC sure can pick ’em, huh? Compton’s tennis champ took to Instagram yesterday to share some new snaps of her ever-growing baby bump. From the looks of things, this is going to be a HUGE kid. Serena’s one loaf oven almost as big as Beyoncé’s with twins! Usually savage commenters were particularly kind to Serena saying things like “You look beautiful. I hope you have a safe delivery”, “So cute!! proud of you God bless you and the baby!!” and “Good morning may heaven father protect u and ur baby safe”. Sounds like Serena is surrounded with love while she incubates her swirly seed. That’s a beautiful thing. What do you think she should name the baby?
Getty Images A Doctor In Memphis Called His Black Patient “Aunt Jemima” And this dude got a PHD? Cuz he’s acting like a Pretty Huge D*** A woman in Memphis is filing a complaint against the state medical board after her doctor called her racially-charged names multiple times. Lexi Carter says she couldn’t believe that her dermatologist, Dr. James Turner, was calling her this, until he did it for a second time. Carter said, “he had a young girl — physician’s assistant trainee, a student — with him, and he looked at me and he goes, ‘Hi, Aunt Jemima.’” Here’s the kicker, the D-bag doctor even admitted to calling his patient this racially-charged reference, saying that it was all a misunderstanding. He issued this public apology: “Ms. Carter is one of our very dear patients and has been for years. She is one of many African American patients and I count it a privilege to be their doctor. Anything I said that tarnishes that image and my respect for her was a misspoken blunder on my part and was not intended to show disrespect for Ms. Carter. I am very sorry for that misunderstanding.” We don’t accept your apology, Dr. Turner. The fact that this man felt comfortable enough to repeatedly call poor Miss Carter “Aunt Jemima” multiple times is a travesty. Hopefully his “many African american patients” take their Black dollars somewhere else and stop supporting this horrible excuse for a professional.
The new Doctor is in. And the Internet is, naturally, very pissed off. On Sunday morning, BBC and BBC America announced via video and via press release that Jodie Whittaker has been named the 13th person to be cast as the title character on Doctor Who. It’s notable every time a new actor takes on this iconic role. But it’s especially notable in Whittaker’s case because she’s an actress . Yes, Jodie Whittaker is a woman. She’s the first woman to ever be cast as Doctor Who and she will officially take over for the departing Peter Capaldi on the Doctor Who Christmas special. Said new head writer Chris Chibnall of the casting decision: After months of lists, conversations, auditions, recalls, and a lot of secret-keeping, we’re excited to welcome Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor. I always knew I wanted the Thirteenth Doctor to be a woman and we’re thrilled to have secured our number one choice. Her audition for The Doctor simply blew us all away. Jodie is an in-demand, funny, inspiring, super-smart force of nature and will bring loads of wit, strength and warmth to the role. The Thirteenth Doctor is on her way Whittaker, meanwhile, has the following to say: I’m beyond excited to begin this epic journey – with Chris and with every Whovian on this planet. It’s more than an honor to play the Doctor. It means remembering everyone I used to be, while stepping forward to embrace everything the Doctor stands for: hope. I can’t wait. Whittaker is probably best known for having played Beth Latimer on the British crime show Broadchurch … where she co-starred opposite David Tennant, who previously played the lead role on Doctor Who. She’s a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and appeared in the short film Wish 143. It centered on a 15-year-old boy with cancer and it was nominated for Best Live-Action short at the 2011 Academy Awards. Says Capaldi of the woman to whom he will be bequeathing this highly-sought-after part: Anyone who has seen Jodie Whittaker’s work will know that she is a wonderful actress of great individuality and charm. She has above all the huge heart to play this most special part. She’s going to be a fantastic Doctor. Despite the positive reaction from those associated with the series, this is the World Wide Web. A whole bunch of idiotic trolls out there are taking issue with the casting of a woman as Doctor Who (“What will be next, Jane Bond?” one of them asked), despite the fact that this is a time-traveling, shape-shifting alien with two hearts. If you somehow think the Doctor’s gender has any impact on his or her realism, well… just keep that sexist and ridiculous opinion to yourself, okay? Thankfully, the excitement on Twitter over Whittaker’s casting appears to be far louder than the criticism. For the past week or so, a certain rumor about Jenelle Evans has been getting stronger and stronger. That rumor, as hard as it may be to believe, is that she's pregnant . Again. It's funny because it's not even a little hard to believe — this girl is only 25 years old and she's already been pregnant at least five times. This time, the rumors began because it seems like Jenelle's been focused on hiding her midsection lately, possibly to hide a baby bump. Another interesting little tidbit is that her fiancé, David Eason, shared a photo of the two of them kissing with the caption “V.I.” Some people speculated that he could be referring to the roman numeral for six — the number of kids they'd have between them if she was pregnant right now. Jenelle has denied the rumors on social media , but still, they're persisting. So short of giving an ultrasound on live television, she's giving us the most definitive proof she can: a pregnancy test done on Facebook Live. As she explains before taking the test, the rumors have been going on for a while now, but they've gotten to the point where certain sites are definitively stating facts about he pregnancy. Which, she maintains, is not real. She says that when David wrote “V.I.,” he was simply shortening “Virgin Islands,” the place where the photo was taken, and besides, she's got an IUD. “If it is positive,” she says about the test, “it's the first time I will know, but I have an IUD, so …” But, as we all know, IUDs aren't 100% effective , so it is possible that she's pregnant. The cameras kept rolling as Jenelle went to take the test — a way to show all us viewers that there's no funny business going on. But still, she didn't squat over the stick on the live feed, so there's always the chance she had some non-pregnant lady pee waiting to trick us all. While they're waiting on the results of the test, she acknowledges that she did lie when she was pregnant with Ensley, and that's why people are having a hard time believing her when she says she's not pregnant. But, she says, that's why she's taking the pregnancy test for us all to see — and if there's still any doubt, time will tell when her wedding comes up and she doesn't have a huge bump. Hilariously, she also adds that she's planning on getting her tubes tied when she has the time, but David won't get a vasectomy because it would be “unhealthy for him.” Because sure, it makes sense for her to have an invasive surgery instead of him getting a little snip at a doctor's office.
