Getty Images Pay Yo Bills: DMX Charged With 14 Counts Of Tax Fraud, Pleads Not Guilty DMX was having a ruff couple of days last week after getting arrested for 14 counts of tax fraud. According to the New York Post , the pooch loving rapper spent Thursday night in jail before posting up $500,000 in bond and released. X aka Earl Simmons is accused of evading $1.7 million in taxes during the peak of his career from 2002 to 2005. Dark Man X has also been charged with failing to file tax returns from 2010 through 2015, and with filing a false affidavit in United States Bankruptcy Court. Prosecutors say “DMX allegedly went out of his way to evade taxes, including by avoiding personal bank accounts, setting up accounts in other’s names and paying personal expenses largely in cash.” Cameras caught up with the rapper and he says he plan on taking his time and fighting it.
