On July 22nd, 2011 Marvel Studios will finally be releasing their live action film Captain America . This is the next step in their eventual roll out of an Avengers movie. Chris Evans stars as the movie’s main character, Steve Rogers, a weakling transformed into a super soldier during World War II. I’m personally going to have to keep reminding myself that he is not the Human Torch from The Fantastic Four , but the CGI looks like it will help keep us all focused on this role. Just In: Chris Evans is Captain America

Finally all of the rumors and speculations can be put to rest: Chris Evans is Captain America. HeatVision reports that Evans accepted Marvel’s offer from Friday. Chris Evans has donned a superhero suit before as the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four series. He also recently starred in Push and can be seen later this year as Lucas Lee in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. It’s great to see the last Avenger (besides Ant-Man) cast and Captain America filming now moving forward. It’s only 3 years until the Avengers movie but now that Marvel has their Steve Rogers that 3 years doesn’t seem so long, especially with 3 Marvel movies in between (Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America). added by: beforethetrailer
