Chris Brown-Drake ESPYs Skit Spoofs Feud With Help From Dr. Blake Griffin

Chris Brown and Drake went at it last night at the ESPYs … but only in jest in a skit that mocked their previous rivalry and the former’s violent past. The two dudes who once wanted to kill each other pretty much killed it, too. After a long setup to establish the Chris Brown-Drake beef, and stir up a faux Blake-Drake rivalry, the rapper and 2014 ESPYs host ends up on an operating table. With “Dr. Blake Griffin” ready to operate, Drake is already a little uneasy … and then Brown pops up with surgical tools in hand, ready to go to work. “YOLO motherf–ker,” he menacingly says as Griffin puts him under: Drake-Chris Brown ESPY Skit Afterward, Griffin and Brown were live on stage, faux announcing that Drake was done for the night … and Chris introduced himself as “America’s Sweetheart.” The L.A. crowd loved it, and rightfully so (especially the Cheetos joke), even though Chris mocking his violent tendencies is always a high-risk move. Especially when he has an assault trial pending, but hey. At least there were no Rihanna references made by either of her former lovers and Chris Brown and Drake are apparently best of friends these days. Net positive, people. Net positive. 25 Pics of Chris Brown Thuggin’ It! 1. Chris Brown Smoking Weed Chris Brown smoking weed – 3 joints at the same time no less. What a class act as always.

Black Captain America Announced by Marvel: Meet Sam Wilson!

Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada made an unexpected announcement on The Colbert Report: A new Captain America is coming to town. A very new Captain America, that is. Sam Wilson, Captain America’s veteran partner The Falcon, will be replacing Steve Rogers this fall in the comic book series. Wilson will officially take over the shield in “All-New Captain America #1,” which will be penned by Rick Remender and Stuart Immonen. Colbert asked Quesada about the fact that Wilson black, to which the CCO replied. “I don’t see colors.” The host, naturally, then shot back: “If you don’t see colors, how do you do comic books?” Wilson was created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan and first appeared in 1969’s Captain America #117. At the time, he was the only African-American superhero in mainstream comics. Fast forward many decades and the character debuted on the big screen earlier this year in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. “I’ve been having a lot of fun writing Sam,” Remender told a Marvel.com. “It’s a completely different attitude. The fact that he’s not a soldier shifts things up a bit. Sam’s not going to be Steve. Steve can be very rigid. That can be kind of joyless at times, whereas Sam is absolutely not that.” What do you think, readers? Do you care that Captain America is now black?   Yes, he should be white. No, good for him. Watch The Depressing ‘Avengers’ Alternate Opening And Deleted Scene, Feel Captain America’s Pain

Those of you who were hoping for a slightly darker, more emo Avengers instead of the big, fun, dumb superhero spectacle Joss Whedon delivered to overwhelming enthusiasm are in luck — that’s exactly what a newly unveiled deleted Captain America scene and alternate opening sequence provide. Feel Steve Rogers’ existential PAIN as he walks the streets of modern New York City, doomed to a rudderless time-jumping existence filled with dead friends and free wifi! Such is life, Steve. Welcome to the 21st century. I mean, life is so hard for Cappy even a Stan Lee cameo can’t wake him out of his ennui. At least it’s not as much of a downer as Cobie Smulders’ bitchfest of a post-op report. This could’ve opened the movie — in flashback no less, the most overused device of them all — so let’s all thank Whedon for lightening the mood. Can’t wait to see what else awaits in the 30+ minutes of deleted footage when Avengers hits home video. [ Playlist , Yahoo ]

‘Captain America’ Clip: Chris Evans Is Skinny But Heroic

Evans himself presents exclusive sneak peek on MTV and MTV.com. By Kara Warner Chris Evans as Steve Rogers in “Captain America: The First Avenger” Photo: Paramount Pictures On Thursday (July 14), Captain America himself, Chris Evans, presented an exclusive new clip from his highly anticipated caped crusade “Captain America: The First Avenger” on MTV and MTV.com. The clip opens with fan-favorite actors Tommy Lee Jones and Stanley Tucci, in the roles of Colonel Chester Phillips and Dr. Abraham Erskine, walking through an Army base, watching a group of recruits in their basic-training exercises. Phillips is talking to Erskine about their new unimpressive recruit Steve Rogers (a skinny Evans, pre-super serum and superhero status), who looks to be having trouble with his jumping jacks. “When you brought a 90-pound asthmatic onto my Army base, I let it slide. I thought, ‘What the hell? Maybe he’d be useful to you like a gerbil,’ ” Phillips says to Erskine about Rogers, before stopping to watch him. “Look at that — he’s making me cry.” Phillips points out another stronger recruit jumping alongside Evans, who boasts impressive scores in every military test they’ve given him. Erskine calls him a bully, but Phillips doesn’t care. “You don’t win wars with niceness, Doctor; you win wars with guts,” he says before tossing a grenade into the group to see how they react. All the recruits scramble away to safety, except for Rogers, who jumps on the grenade himself to protect everyone else. The grenade turns out to be a dummy. “Is this a test?” Rogers asks his senior officers, after showcasing an early glimpse of the hero he is to become. “He’s still skinny,” Phillips says, seemingly unimpressed, to a smiling Erskine. Watch The Captain America Movie Trailer! [VIDEO]

Here is the original post:

On July 22nd, 2011 Marvel Studios will finally be releasing their live action film Captain America . This is the next step in their eventual roll out of an Avengers movie. Chris Evans stars as the movie’s main character, Steve Rogers, a weakling transformed into a super soldier during World War II. I’m personally going to have to keep reminding myself that he is not the Human Torch from The Fantastic Four , but the CGI looks like it will help keep us all focused on this role.
