Janet Jackson is set to share her diet tips with her fans after signing up as the new spokesperson for the NutriSystem weight loss program. Janet opened up about her struggles with weight in her 2011 bestseller “True You” when she ballooned up to 180 lbs for a movie role, becoming the butt of fat jokes in the tabloids. In this new role, Ms. Jackson will be the iconic new face for the Nutrisystem brand, the focal point of the SUCCESS campaign and the co-founder of a new initiative to help combat hunger. 13th November 2011= THE best day of my friggan life! Basically I’ve been trying to meet Justin for 2 and a half years. The chance came and I entered a competition to win tickets for his ITV special, but with my TERRIBLE, NON-EXISTANT luck, that didn’t happen. That day I had a huge dilemma because we knew what hotel he was SUPPOSEDLY at then we for sure where knew he would be at the ITV Studios & Fountain Studios. We were on the train and my friend picked out of my hands on which option to choose and we chose the hotel. We got there and it was freezing. There was NOONE else there so I was like oh this is probably the wrong place, but we kinda hung around. We went Starbucks for an hour, Pizza Hut for an hour, in the hotel for an hour etc, and the hotel was fine with us at first and then all of a sudden they came to kick us out (which was the best sign of the whole day because they only kick you out if someone important is going there) . We went outside and there was a few more people, around 15 people and we were just chatting to them. One of the girls somehow knew the manager and the main hotel security guard who came to speak to us and said, “Yeah Justin will definitely be coming back, he’s booked in for another 2 days and this morning he was late for his appointment, but instead of getting straight into his car, he walked out the hotel, went through EVERY single fan outside, took pictures and THEN got into his car to go off. He’s one of the ‘nice ones’ cause most celebs we have here just get straight in the car and go, but he didn’t”. He then said, “We’re expecting him in about 15-20 mins”. This was weird because the ITV special wasn’t supposed to finish recording in about an HOUR later, not 20 mins, so we were like hmmm, but waited. Then as he said, 20 minutes later, Justin’s car came in!! Justin got out, casually strolled over to us and said, “Hey how you doing? Before I get in trouble and get one of you run over, can you just stand away from the road to the side, just in a line please. I don’t wanna get in trouble or get any of you hurt thanks, everyone will get a go!” He then started taking pictures and signing autographs for EVERYONE! This one girl’s picture was blurry and he was like “Oh one second I’ll do that again, that’s blurry”, which to be honest should be the LEAST of his worries! I gave him my camera, he was holding it for AGES, and was like, “Oh it’s on record I’ll take you again in a sec”. At that moment I like nearly FAINTED! I got a normal picture after. The whole time, he was like, “Has EVERYONE got a picture?, is everyone SURE they’ve got everything? A pic and a signature? Who hasn’t got a picture?” and he even did some extra, funny pictures with people. At the end, Kenny was like, “Justin you have to go!” and Justin was like “One second, gimme 2 cameras”. He grabbed a random girls phone and another girl’s camera and was like, “Right, everyone in for a group photo”. Kenny took them and Justin was like, “Another one please, I didn’t like myself in that! And the rest of you guys can like get that picture from eachothers Facebook? Okay I have to go, bye thank you!!” During the group photo, he DREW on my face! Yep, Justin DREW Bieber, DREW on my face!! I was like DEAD! I knew he’s really nice, but some things were TOO nice! After that, I was like kinda crying hysterically for about 4 hours, on a bus, 2 tubes and a train. Everyone was looking at my friend thinking she’d hurt me or something. It was unforgettable , after over 2 and a half years trying to meet him and always failing every attempt, I finally did. Mag tells MTV News ‘someone took photos of Lindsay’s pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue.’ By Jocelyn Vena Lindsay Lohan’s leaked Playboy cover Photo: Playboy First, Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy cover leaked , and days later, a set of photos set to appear in the January/February issue hit the Net when Perez Hilton posted the photos on his blog Friday (December 9). The photos clearly pay homage to Marilyn Monroe and her vintage Playboy pictorial. Lohan, donning little more than red lipstick (and, in one pic, a fur shrug), poses nude in front of a red curtain. The actress was photographed in soft light as she poses on red couches and bedding, in various sexy positions. The photos were shot in November in Los Angeles, in between Lohan’s court dates and legal issues . In an interview with “The Insider,” mom Dina said the pictorial would be “tastefully done.” “She’s been working in front of the camera with Ford Models since she was a little girl,” she added. “So she kinda knows how to work that.” A rep for Playboy addressed the latest leak to MTV News in a statement: “Someone took photos of Lindsay’s pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue. They posted the photos online without permission. We are not releasing any official images or information until December 15.” Lohan is set to do an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her December 15 talk show to about the pictorial. It was originally planned that the cover and an additional image would debut on the show. A source told TMZ that Playboy execs are “freaking out” about the leak. The magazine is slated to hit newsstands next week, and the magazine allegedly printed thousands of extra copies. They fear the leak could hurt sales and they had been banking on the fact that this would be the mag’s best-seller of the year. The actress was reportedly paid nearly $1 million for the shoot.

‘You’re hungry, you’re like, ‘My back’s sore,’ ‘ Biel jokes to MTV News of symptoms of wearing a baby bump in Gary Marshall flick. By Christina Garibaldi Zac Efron Photo: MTV News On Wednesday, the cast of “New Year’s Eve,” Gary Marshall’s latest ensemble flick, gathered at New York City’s Ziegfeld Theatre for a Tribeca Film Institute benefit in celebration of the star-studded film’s release. The follow-up to the director’s box-office hit “Valentine’s Day” has a similar theme: multiple plotlines told in a series of vignettes. MTV News hit the black carpet, where we caught up with castmembers, including Zac Efron, who revealed to us that veteran actress Michelle Pfeiffer had a lot to do with convincing him to take on the part. “It was great,” Efron told MTV News of working with Pfeiffer. “I remember the first time I met her was on ‘Hairspray,’ and she’s Michelle Pfeiffer — she had that aura, star aura — so I was always very nervous around her; [she’s] very beautiful. “We never really got the chance to connect on that movie,” he explained of the 2007 musical. “So on this film, I remember I got a voicemail from her, and she said, ‘Look, I would love to do this if you want to do it, and I want to take it to the next level.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m in 1,000 percent, and I love you so much, thank you so much for that voicemail. I can’t wait, let’s do it!’ And here we are. It was a dream come true.” And Marshall seems to have made another dream come true for young actor Jake T. Austin, who has his first big-screen kiss in the flick with co-star Abigail Breslin. “We met each other hours before,” Austin told us. “It was more like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you, you ready?’ But it was not that awkward, it was cool.” “It wasn’t that awkward because we kinda didn’t treat it like a big deal,” Breslin added. “He was very sweet, he was a gentleman. It all went well. We just kinda treated it like it was no big deal.” Jessica Biel also hit the black carpet in a stunning, shimmery Valentino gown, a far different look than what she sports in the movie. “I actually kind of enjoyed it,” Biel said of wearing a baby bump for her pregnant character. “It was a strange thing. I didn’t think I was going to feel as comfortable as I did with it. When you put that thing on, you start to rock with it: You’re rubbing it. In this week’s Hobnobbing, we reflect on the movie’s milestones from the past year. By Amy Wilkinson Jennifer Lawrence in “The Hunger Games” Photo: Murray Close If any film caught Internet fire this year, it was most certainly the big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ young-adult novel ” The Hunger Games .” Though the film had been optioned by Lionsgate way back in 2009, 2011 was the year fans finally saw all the pieces come together, from casting the titular tournament’s 24 tributes to a teaser tidbit and full-length trailer. As such, MTV News is taking a look back at all things “Hunger Games” with a list of the franchise’s best moments from 2011 (in chronological order). Let the Games begin! X Marks the Release Date The year began with a bang when Lionsgate announced in late January that “The Hunger Games” would swoop into theaters March 23, 2012 . Lionsgate set that particular date in its crosshairs hoping to capitalize on spring breaks and Easter weekend for the (mostly) family-friendly release. Jennifer Lawrence Is Katniss Everdeen The Reaping then began in earnest, with seemingly every young Hollywood actress vying for the coveted role of District 12’s female tribute. Would it be Hailee Steinfeld? Kaya Scodelario? Abigail Breslin? In the end, MTV News had the pleasure of revealing that then-20-year-old Jennifer Lawrence, who nabbed an Oscar nomination for her work in 2010’s “Winter’s Bone,” would enter the arena as the much-loved heroine. But Who Will Play Peeta and Gale? Similar speculation followed the casting of Katniss’ two love interests — fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark and hunting buddy Gale Hawthorne. Nine young actors were reportedly in contention for one of the two roles, including “Weeds” star Hunter Parrish and “Wizards of Waverly Place” actor David Henrie, but, ultimately, Josh Hutcherson landed the role of Peeta while Liam Hemsworth won Gale. First Look at Lawrence as Katniss Salivating fans didn’t have to wait too long for their first taste of Lawrence as Katniss, as she posed for the cover of Entertainment Weekly, flaunting the tribute’s soon-to-be-iconic uniform . The styled snap quieted many critics who’d said the actress was too blond, too tall, too pretty or too whatever for the role. Cinna Will Rock There were no shortage of casting announcements in spring 2011, but none seemed to catch watchful fans off guard more than that of Lenny Kravitz landing the role of Katniss’ stylist Cinna. But, really, it made a lot of sense, considering the musician’s fondness for fashion. “I like clothes, and I like playing with clothes. Every now and again, you go south. It’s all good. I enjoy fashion as an art,” he told MTV News . The Mockingjay Catches Fire In a nifty bit of promotion, Lionsgate released the first “Hunger Games” poster in July, and it was literally on fire. Well, sorta. The one-sheet depicted Katniss’ infamous talisman — a mockingjay pin — wreathed in glowing flames. The eye-catching motion poster definitely gave fans something to chew on while they waited for more first looks. We Spy Two “Hunger Games” Hotties Following in co-star Lawrence’s footsteps, the men of “The Hunger Games” landed their own EW cover story , in which Hutcherson took the opportunity to quiet a few nagging concerns about his stature.”Jennifer’s not 2 feet taller than me!” he told the magazine. “If anything, maybe she’s a half-inch taller.” November 2013 Is “Catching Fire” We hadn’t even seen a frame of the first film yet, yet Lionsgate announced a November 22, 2013, release date for the follow-up, “Catching Fire.” With “The Twilight Saga” taking its final winter bow in 2012, it looks like “The Hunger Games” is poised to be the new holiday tentpole. A Tasty Tease All those cover images and promotional stills went only so far to sate fans’ appetites. A cinematic preview was in order, and we at MTV were happy to deliver. During the closing moments of this year’s Video Music Awards, viewers were treated to a 30-second sneak peek , following Katniss as she sprinted through the arena’s blazing forest, with Gale’s words of encouragement resounding in her ears. Sure, the bite was short, but it was still satisfying. First Full-Length Trailer Nearly three lean months followed before the first full-length trailer made its entrance into the arena. And boy, was it worth the wait. From the tearful reaping to the Games’ taut opening moments, the clip was one of our top teases of the year , offering a promise of the big-screen awesomeness to follow.
