Child actors of the early ’90s understood chutzpah , you know? The newsies gyrated, the Cucamonga campers jived, and even the Tonka-tough Little Leaguers burst with starpower. Case in point, Thomas Ian Nicolas, the future American Pie and Please Give costar , bounds into Camelot with Louisville Slugger confidence in A Kid in King Arthur’s Court , the kiddie flick from ’94 that also features two of Cowboys & Aliens ‘s best attributes: a hokey mashup of disparate eras and — oh yes — Daniel Craig.
When the concept art (the buzziest of promotional buzzwords this summer; see also new concept art for Snow White & The Huntsman and Lucifer ) of Mark Ruffalo as Hulk in The Avengers was released at the end of Comic-Con last weekend, it was easy to joke that it looked like every other incarnation of Hulk. In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times , Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirms that similarity is by design… except when it’s not. Hulk confused?

[She] doesn’t let her mind get in the way of doing things she feels strongly about. Also, I get to have a sword and stuff.” Charlize Theron meanwhile, plays the Evil Queen and made us laugh with her description: “She’s dark. She’s a serial killer. ‘I don’t want to say it felt like a real wedding, but it definitely felt like a ceremony, ‘ she tells MTV News at Comic-Con. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Andrew Cooper/ Summit Entertainment SAN DIEGO — For her third visit to San Diego Comic-Con , Kristen Stewart was happy to report to MTV News about getting married and giving birth — onscreen, that is. While “The Twilight Saga” star was quick to specify that it was Mr. Cullen she shared these milestones with, not rumored beau Robert Pattinson, she spilled the beans about filming the hotly anticipated wedding scene in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” “I think the most surreal experience was getting married,” Stewart said. “It was right at the bitter end. I was amping up to it the entire time. They left me on my toes for six months. And then it was just sort of very cathartic to see the entire cast in the pews and everyone excited to see how it was all going to go down. “It had a kind of feel of everyone kind of excited to see how it’s all going to go down,” she continued. “I don’t want to say it felt like a real wedding, but it definitely felt like a ceremony. It definitely felt ceremonial and celebratory.” This is the first time Stewart has had an opportunity to get in on the action with the boys of “Twilight,” and from what we’ve heard, she’s held her own against them. Stewart especially got to face off against Taylor Lautner, which she said was a lot of fun. “Taylor’s funny about it too. He’s like, ‘You’re so cute,’ ” Stewart said. “I think he was a little more intimidated then he led on. Maybe not.” “Breaking Dawn” isn’t the only movie Stewart is promoting at Comic-Con this year. She also has “Snow White and the Huntsman,” which has its panel Saturday. Stewart shared her enthusiasm about the movie without giving too much away about the plot. “I am so, so excited. We’re in pre-production right now. I think [Snow White] represents so much that I can’t wait to get across to the entire world,” she said. “Rupert [Sanders], the director, we’re so in the middle of forming the story and getting into it that it’s hard for me to talk about. I mean, I’m training. I’m riding horses all the time.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . This broad is crazy! Michele Bachmann has reportedly signed a radical pact that rails against gays, prostitution, pornography, out-of-wedlock childbirth and suggests that black children had better home lives during slavery: Michele Bachmann signed a controversial pact Thursday that is anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-pornography, and floats the curious notion that African American children were better off during slavery than they are under the Obama administration. The pledge was drawn up by Bob Vander Plaats, a man who ran for governor of Iowa in 2010 and lost in the Republican primary despite the benefit of an endorsement from Internet legend Chuck Norris. Vander Plaats also sought the high office in Iowa in 2002 and 2006 (as Jim Nussle’s running mate) but voters gave him the thumbs down. Somehow he fancies himself a kingmaker and is hoping that other GOP politicians, desperate to appear so-conservative-it-hurts will sign his pledge titled “The Marriage Vow: A Declaration of Dependence upon MARRIAGE and FAMILY.” The manifesto, ripe with anti-gay paranoia from the man who once said, “If we’re teaching the kids, ‘don’t smoke, because that’s a risky health style,’ the same can be true of the homosexual lifestyle.” But the strangest nugget in the pact that the Republican congresswoman from Minnesota signed was one that hearkens back to the good old days when slavery was legal, meaning that black kids had the priceless benefit of having a traditional home. “Slavery had a disastrous impact on African American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African American baby born after the election of the USA’s first African American president,” the vow states in a bullet-point. Cheryl Contee of the Jack & Jill political blog explains some of the errors in that portion of the vow. “Given that families were broken up regularly for sales during slavery and that rape by masters was pretty common, this could not be more offensive,” Contree wrote. “When will Republicans inquire with actual black people whether or not we’re ok with invoking slavery to score cheap political points? It has to stop. It is the opposite of persuasive and is another reason Republicans repel us. It’s hard to believe that Michele Bachmann would be foolish enough to sign this pledge,” Contree complained. Vander Plaats says his group, the Family Leader, will not support any candidate who declines to sign the pledge, which means former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman won’t be getting their support since Huntsman never signs pledges, according to the Des Moines Register. The paper also reported that a spokesman for Texas representative Ron Paul said the congressman has reservations about the pact. SMH. It’s bad enough that Obama has been catching hell for his predecessors mistakes with the wars and the budget, now he’s under attack for African-American kids growing up in single parent homes??? This broad is out her damn mind signing anything that even resembles a pro-slavery stance. HO SIT DOWN! We’re attaching part of the pledge here for you to see. Source
