Katy Perry Unsure About American Idol Judge Job There’s been lots of talk lately about who will replace Bronx-born banger Jennifer Lopez as a judge on next season’s American Idol show alongside current judges Randy Jackson and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. Among those rumored to be in the running to fill J.Lo’s six-inch stiletto’s is pop princess Katy Perry. But with a new movie in theaters and other plans for the future, the purple-haired potty-mouthed singer says she’s not sure if ‘Idol’ is the right move for her. As Access Hollywood reports, Katy Perry said of “American Idol,” and the reports in the media: “People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved, and it’s not right for me yet. I have ideas for two or three big, creative things, and I want to be able to fulfill those ideas.” Katy Perry is a hugely successful singer. Her most recent album, “Teenage Dream” became an instant success, and featured a number of top singles, and her “California Dreams” tour was a great event and a hit with fans around the world. There is no doubt that Perry fans are excited to see what the future holds for the singer, and it remains to be seen if “American Idol’ will be in that future at some point. My name is Mikaela, I’m 15, and I live in Pennsylvania. I’ve been a belieber since 2009, when I first discovered Justin and his music. After two and a half years, I finally had my own Bieber experience. Back in 2011, two of my friends won fan passes from the Today Show to see Justin on November 23 rd . My friend Ashley brought me, and my friend Kristen brought her dad. We all went together, and stood in the rain for 12 hours. The fan passes ended up not really doing anything. We were in the back and we couldn’t see anything besides umbrellas and posters. But we could still hear him, and that’s really all that mattered. Anyway, when we got back, Kristen’s dad emailed the Today Show to tell them what happened and just wanted to see if they could make it up to us somehow. Long story short, they emailed back, invited Kristen and one guest to a concert of her choice to be directly in front of the stage, and we did just that . We had doubts about it for a while, but when we got to New York, one of the workers told us where to wait for her when she got done handing out the fan passes. When she was done, she brought me, Kristen, and like 7-10 other beliebers through the MSNBC building and to the plaza. We were literally in the best spot possible. It was still dark when we got there and the dancers started to run through their dances and everything. Scooter came out and was telling all of us that we couldn’t grab Justin because it could mess up the performance. As he was walking back, he gave me a high five. I started freaking out. Scooter means a lot to me, and I couldn’t believe he was just in front of me. Justin came out for sound check once it got a little brighter and it was flawless. There weren’t cameras filming yet, so he paid a lot of attention to us. I’m pretty sure we were the first fans he looked at when he came out. It was such a good feeling to know that he knows I exist. He ran through his songs, and then went back inside. A few hours later, the show was starting, and Justin was coming back out. He sang Boyfriend first. He killed it, of course. He touched our hands almost every time he walked past us. It was incredible. Next, he sang Baby. Then, As Long As You Love Me. We knew all the words already and it was so much fun. Then, the most amazing thing that could have happened that day, happened. It was in between As Long As You Love Me and All Around The World, and Justin was near the back of the stage. I saw him looking towards us, so I just kind of waved at him to come over to us , not expecting at all that he was even looking at me. But he was, because he walked right over to me, and was like, “Do you, you want me to..” and then he took my camera and took a picture of us. HE TOOK A PICTURE OF US. ME AND HIM. TOGETHER. And best of all, HE took it. Not me, him. That moment right there, honestly, I can’t even put into words how much that meant to me. He made my entire life . During the show, I called my mom to tell her what happened, but it was too loud and she couldn’t hear me. Right after I said it out loud that he took a picture of us, I immediately starting balling my eyes out. It was too good to be true. My inspiration, my idol, my hero, my everything, just noticed me and took the time to take a picture with me. Wow, it was perfect. I think the best part is, that it was totally unexpected. I didn’t even think he was even looking at me, let alone that he would come over and take a picture of us. The whole day was hands down, the best day of my life. I am forever grateful. Justin, if you ever read this, I just want to thank you. Not just for what happened at the Today Show, but for everything. You inspire me each and every day and you get me through so much. Tyler Perry Snubbed By Diana Ross No love for Madea? Soul legend Diana Ross wants no part in Tyler Perry ‘s plans to help her big screen comeback and has been ignoring his phone calls “for years”, according to the movie mogul. Perry revealed earlier this year that he had written a film especially for the Motown icon in a bid to put her back on the big screen 40 years after she won critical acclaim and an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in 1972′s Lady Sings the Blues. He said, “I have the perfect role for her… It’s a jazz movie set in the 1940s, and (Ross) would play a jazz singer who runs a juke joint (music venue), and I just wish she would do it.” Perry has reached out to Ross to bring the screenplay to life, but he admits the former Supremes diva has been snubbing his pleas. The star tells lifestyle website Essence.com, “She’s been ignoring me for years. She’s the only person that I have dreamed of working with that will not return my phone calls.” He got the chance to meet his idol once before and the filmmaker pounced on the opportunity to coax Ross into considering the project – only to be completely shut out. Hi my name’s Elizabeth and this is MBE. Well, not Bieber but Braun works too right? I’ve met both Adam and Scooter twice. The first time I met them were both very brief. I met Scooter at the Today Show and Adam at a Cody Simpson Concert. Then, I found at that they were going to be playing in the Coach Bob Memorial Basketball Tournament only 45 minutes from my house! My belieber friend, Alyssa, and I decided we had to go. After much persuading of our parents, we finally convinced my dad to take me. As soon as we got there we met up with other Beliebers and watched the Brauns, Matt Graham (Cody Simpson’s manager), and Brad Haugen (who ran the event in memory of his dad) all play basketball. We first met Adam (who by the way is extremely attractive) and I got to talk to him about volunteering for Pencils of Promise . Then, we got to talk to Brad who is the nicest guy ever. When we asked him for a picture he said, “Do you guys want Scooter in this?” We told him we wanted one with just him and he was a little bit surprised. No other Beliebers there asked for a picture or talked to him. After hanging out with him for a while, he went and got Scooter who came over to us. Brad had tweeted about how out of shape Scooter was so we asked his opinion on the matter. He said, “It’s true. It’s all true.” He did hit the game winning shot though! My name is Léa, I’m 16 and a half and I really want to tell you my story. I don’t know how to begin. I’ve been a Belieber since September 2009. I remember the date, but that is not important. I live in South West of France . My mother said to me, “We are going to London” and you know what? Justin was probably going to be there too. “Never Say Never” stayed in my head. I said to her, “I want to meet him, to see him, just two seconds, no matter what”. I spent 4 hours outside his hotel, but he never come to the window. I met some extraordinary people, I met some Beliebers, it was great, but no Justin. I came back to France. I didn’t feel right at school or at home. Then heard that Justin was coming to Paris on June 1st. Everything was happening so fast. I called into the radio station “NRJ” in order to win tickets for the showcase. The guy said to me that I can come to the radio’s show and try to sing and win tickets. I called my mother to explain the situation. I took the train to Paris (which took me 5 hours). I sang “One Time” in front of some people who were in the studio, the crew and people who were listening on the radio. Click here to watch the video. I’ve cried so much ‘cause I didn’t win tickets right away. Another girl won before me. Then I saw a Belieber who I met in London so I was happy to talk to her. Then I won the tickets the following day. Beliebers was waiting for Justin at the radio station. On Friday, June 1st, it was a BIG dream. The other belieber called me on my phone and said, “I have two girls who want to meet Justin, so if you want, I can invite you to go Grand Journal (a huge TV show), are you happy?” Oh my God. I was going to meet Justin, my idol, TWICE IN ONE DAY? That was crazy, incredible. My friend was late for the show, so we had to hurry up. We entered the TV studio. We had to sit on the floor, the studio was full. It ended up being the BEST WAY to be close to him. He sang ‘Boyfriend’ and touched my hand. He also did an interview and at the end, he came to us and hugged a girl. I touched his neck, he smiled, I smiled. I was so close to him during those seconds, but then he had to go. He performed, “Die in your arms” away from the cameras. He looked at us, in my direction, with his nice smile and his bright eyes. I began to cry. It was very emotional. He left the studio. My uncle saw him in his car going to the showcase. We arrived on the site for the next TV show. There were MANY PEOPLE waiting to enter. He sang “Baby”, “Never Say Never”, “Be Alright”, “Die In Your Arms”, “As Long As You Love Me” and “Boyfriend”. I didn’t scream, I couldn’t say anything, I was open-mouthed. I was so stressed and worried for Justin because I heard he was sick. My friend told me to keep calm and not to cry. It was so hard. It’s my idol, I don’t want him to be sad, not well, sick, or something like that. Thank you to everyone who helped me to do this, and people who read the text.
