Amanda Knox Opens Up About Facing Murder Charges For a Second Time According to People She’s been free since 2011, but Amanda Knox – who spent four years in Italian prison for murder – still faces moments of crippling anxiety, she tells PEOPLE Magazine exclusively. During an emotional, candid and wide-ranging interview, which took place in her mother’s Seattle home over several days, Knox, 25, details her odyssey from carefree American college student in Perugia, Italy, to convicted murderer confined to a cell for four years for allegedly killing her roommate, British student Meredith Kercher. “When Meredith was murdered and I was arrested, it was so shocking. It was paralyzing. Everything toppled,” says Knox, who also shares the overwhelming joy of being set free after an appeals court overturned the charges in 2011. Although these days she is back at college, dating her hometown boyfriend and relishing every minute she spends with her large and loving family, she is still haunted by the ordeal. “Things creep up on me and all of a sudden I’m overwhelmed by the feeling of helplessness and that desperation and fear to even hope,” she says. “Just that can make my heart race and makes me paralyzed until I can breathe it away.” Do you think Amanda Knox can beat a murder rap for a second time? Via RadarOnline reports : The 98 Degrees singer, who briefly dated the reality star right before she became a household name with the release of her sex tape, suggests in the May 2013 issue of Details that Kim was responsible for their movie date ending up in the media – and RadarOnline.com has the details. “In Kardashian Konfidential, Kim traces her fame to a date with you in 2006 that showed up in the tabloids the next day. Can we blame you for her ubiquity?” the magazine asks the new dad. “That’s one way to interpret it,” he responds. “Let’s just say this: We went to a movie. No one followed us there. Somehow, mysteriously, when we left, there were 30 photographers waiting outside. WTF?! Ladies, can you dig it? Bradley Cooper Wears Curly Hairdo In New Film “American Hustle” Via Huffington Post The highly anticipated movie David O. Russell is making with Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Louis C.K. and Robert De Niro has an official title: “American Hustle.” The film was originally called “American Bullshit” before switching to the more socially acceptable nomenclature “Untitled David O. Russell Project.” “American Hustle” is based on the ABSCAM sting operation that took place on Long Island during the late 1970s and early 1980s. From the official press release announcing the film last year: The Untitled David O. Russell Project is based on the true story of a notorious financial con artist (Bale) and his mistress/partner in crime (Adams), who were forced to work with an out of control federal agent (Cooper) to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters, and politicians. At the epicenter of the entire tale, is the passionate and volatile leader of the New Jersey state assembly (Renner) who is also the local hero and mayor of impoverished Camden. Russell last directed Cooper and Lawrence in “Silver Lining Playbook,” which earned Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Best Director (Russell), Best Adapted Screenplay (also Russell), Best Actor (Cooper) and Best Supporting Actor (De Niro) among others. Lawrence won Best Actress for her role in that film, but she plays a smaller part in “American Hustle.” Russell frequently works with the same actors: he also made “The Fighter” with Bale and Adams. “American Hustle” is filming in Massachusetts, but it wasn’t affected by the tragic bombing at the Boston Marathon on April 15. The production was shooting in Worcester, Mass. on Monday, which the Hollywood Reporter notes is 46 miles away from Boston. We had no idea they still made white women like this. At least one waitress is doing her part to be cleared off of Rihanna’s hit list. A California cocktail waitress has responded to reports of a liaison with Breezy by saying she doesn’t even like black men. SMH. Via TMZ reports : The mystery blonde who’s been accused of destroying Chris Brown’s relationship with Rihanna isn’t exactly a threat … because she says she prefers vanilla over chocolate. 22-year-old Keisha Kimball — a waitress at L.A.’s Playhouse nightclub — was photographed holding CB’s hand last Saturday inside the club … and now she’s being blamed for Chris and Rihanna breaking up. But Keisha tells TMZ, “I am always Chris’ waitress. I know him and am friends with his friends. Nothing has ever happened. I just work there. In the photos, he was handing me a bottle to drink out of. Of course people are going to twist it another way. I don’t go for black guys.” Keisha — who says she’s not racist … it’s just a dating preference — adds, “Whatever is going on between Rihanna and Chris Brown is between them. I’m not trying to be a home wrecker.” And get this … Keisha says CB is normally a great tipper, but last weekend he stiffed her … in the gratuity department of course. As for the CB/Rihanna breakup rumors … our sources say they’re true … but it’s nothing out of the ordinary for the on-again-off-again couple. We’re told Brown and Rihanna break up like this on a regular basis — and things go back on track just as quickly as they derail. SMH. A white girl named Keisha and she doesn’t like black guys? Freaks on a plane??? Via NY Post: “Real Housewife” Kim Zolciak is as feisty off camera as on. She nearly came to blows with a woman on a flight to New York on Tuesday for allegedly hitting on her hubby, Atlanta Falcon star Kroy Biermann. The fracas began after the other woman thought Zolciak and Biermann had entered the bathroom to join the mile-high club — and the unidentified passenger also wanted to become a member with Biermann. “I’m claustrophobic in the bathrooms on planes, so I always have my husband hold the door [shut],” Zolciak told us at a Bravo presentation at Pillars 37 Studios. The other woman apparently mistakenly thought Biermann slipped into the toilet with Kim for an intimate encounter. Zolciak said that when she exited, “This lady’s looking at me like I’m going to get it on with my husband in the bathroom . . . I’m kind of walking back to my seat and my husband walks out, and she looks at him and winks and [starts] flirting.” Back at her seat, the reality star told Biermann she was going to go back and confront the woman. Jimmy Fallon To Replace Jay Leno Via HuffPo reports: NBC has officially announced that Jimmy Fallon will take over “The Tonight Show” in 2014, and Jay Leno will end his run as the host of the show. Bill Carter of The New York Times reports that Fallon, currently the host of “Late Night,” will begin hosting the show in February. Fallon has hosted “Late Night” since 2009, and along with his house band The Roots, has developed a variety show that blends music, celebrity impressions and an enthusiastic approach to the talk show format to make it one of the most unique late night programs on the air. Lorne Michaels executive produces Fallon’s current show, and will produce “The Tonight Show” in addition to his “Saturday Night Live” duties. The news follows months of rumors that Fallon would take over the show when Leno’s contract expires next year. The show will be taped at 30 Rock in New York, the first time the show has been taped there since Johnny Carson left in 1972. In a statement, departing host Leno said, “Congratulations Jimmy. I hope you’re as lucky as me and hold on to the job until you’re the old guy. If you need me, I’ll be at the garage.” NBC has attempted a “Tonight Show” host transition once before. In 2004, they announced that Conan O’Brien, then the host of “Late Night,” would take over “The Tonight Show” in 2009. By the time the transition occurred, Leno was still on top of the ratings, and NBC gave Leno a primetime show to prevent him from going to another network. However, faltering ratings of both programs led to NBC installing Leno as the host once again. The network did not mention O’Brien’s stint as the “Tonight Show” host in its press release about the Fallon transition, instead claiming that Leno has hosted “The Tonight Show” since 1992. Leno told the Times that he felt better about this transition. “The main difference between this and the other time is I’m part of the process. The last time the decision was made without me. I came into work one day and — you’re out.” This transition was largely initiated by the threat posed by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, which moved from midnight to 11:35 earlier this year. Although Leno’s program continues to be number one in both overall ratings and the 18-49 demographic, Kimmel’s show has proven to be competitive. Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban Says He Would Draft Brittney Griner Via ESPN Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban would be willing to give Baylor women’s star Brittney Griner the opportunity to prove she could play in the NBA. Cuban said he would consider selecting Griner, a 6-foot-8 three-time All-American and Big 12 player of the year, in the second round of the NBA draft. If the Mavs don’t draft her, Cuban said he would have “no problem whatsoever” inviting Griner to try out for a spot on Dallas’ summer league team. “If she is the best on the board, I will take her,” Cuban said before the Mavs’ Tuesday night game against the Los Angeles Lakers. “I’ve thought about it. I’ve thought about it already. Would I do it? Right now, I’d lean toward yes, just to see if she can do it. You never know unless you give somebody a chance, and it’s not like the likelihood of any late-50s draft pick has a good chance of making it.” Griner dominated women’s college basketball with her size and athleticism, scoring 3,283 points and blocking 748 shots in her career. She also had 18 dunks, including 11 her senior season. Griner would love the opportunity. “I would hold my own! Lets do it.” she wrote on Twitter on Tuesday night in response to Cuban. A woman trying out for an NBA team is not unprecedented. Former UCLA star Ann Meyers tried out for the Indiana Pacers in 1979. Cuban said it’s difficult to evaluate whether Griner could play in the NBA because of the caliber of her competition, comparing it to scouting players from small schools. However, Cuban said he was absolutely serious about at least extending an invitation for Griner to try out this summer. “She’d still have to make the team,” Cuban said. “I’m not going to carry her just to carry her. I don’t think, anyways. But I certainly wouldn’t be opposed to giving her the opportunity.” Never one to ignore the bottom line of a business venture, when it was mentioned that Brittney’s presence in the league would be very, VERY profitable Cuban added: “It would, wouldn’t it? See how she could do?” Cuban said. “That’d sell out a few games.” Even in a social experiment, money is a still a major issue. Put your money where your mouth is Mark!
