So you do the next best thing: You create a private resort for your family, complete with a water park. The singer’s Jupiter Island estate, sitting on nearly 6 acres with more than 400 linear feet of waterfront, is truly a vacation oasis, designed by the singer for her family and friends. And it’s for sale, recently listed for $72.5 million. The Grammy Award-winning singer, and now Las Vegas staple, bought the estate’s two homes for just $12.5 million and $7 million each back in 2004 and 2008, respectively. Increasing home values — even Jupiter Island’s median home value, which currently is rising 13.3 percent year-over-year — don’t account for the large price tag. But the two homes, three pools and water park, as well as the prime oceanfront, do. “It really is a true water park,” explained listing agent Joseph Montanaro of Sotheby’s International Realty Quebec, who shares the listing with Cristina Condon of Sotheby’s International Realty in Palm Beach. “It has slides and a lazy river at the bottom of it. It has a foot bridge at the bottom of it where kids can play. Being the person that she is, it’s hard for her to get out of the house with the kids, so she created this for her and her family.” Still no clue? Ted Nugent’s wife Shemane Deziel was arrested for carrying a loaded handgun through security at Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport this week. She insists it was all an accident , however, and that she only owns and carries a weapon in the first place because of death threats she’s been receiving. Shemane Deziel, 51, was busted Thursday for bringing the Smith & Wesson .38 into the airport, and putting it through the security checkpoint in her carry-on bag. TSA screeners saw the gun on an x-ray monitor, and when police inspected Deziel’s luggage, they noticed it was loaded with five rounds of ammunition. An additional 10 rounds were packed in a side pocket of her carry-on. Shemane said she forgot the gun was in her bag, but has an active, concealed handgun license in Texas. The gun and ammo were confiscated as evidence. The wife of Ted Nugent did not elaborate on the alleged death threats.

A Swedish sociology professor has nominated NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden for the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize, according to reports. In his letter addressed to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Stefan Svallfors praised Snowden for his “heroic effort at great personal cost.” He stated that by revealing U.S. surveillance programs, Snowden showed “individuals can stand up for fundamental rights and freedoms.” Citing the Nuremberg trials of 1945, Svallfors notes that “‘I was just following orders’ is never an excuse for acts contrary to human rights and freedoms.” He also says Snowden “save the prize from the disrepute incurred by the hasty, ill-conceived decision” to give the 2009 award to Barack Obama. The head of the International Committee of the Russian State, Duma Aleksey Pushkov, says the U.S. won’t let Nobel Peace Prize go to Snowden. Nevertheless, his mere nomination speaks volumes, he says: “Not in a million years will the U.S. allow Snowden to get the Peace Prize. But his nomination is significant. Many in the West see him as a champion of democracy.” The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded since 1901 to individuals who “shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations.” The list of criteria also includes working toward “abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.” Edward Snowden isn’t be the first Nobel nominee of his kind. Just last year, Bradley Manning , the U.S. soldier accused of passing secret materials to WikiLeaks, was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. In 2011, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was nominated. Snowden’s nomination is expected to be reviewed by the committee for next year’s prize. The 30-year-old nominee is wanted in the U.S. on espionage charges. He fled American soil for Hong Kong in May and then flew to Moscow, Russia, where he has been stuck in an airport transit zone for three weeks. People are suing Lil Kim , but what really needs to happen is Lil Kim needs to sue her plastic surgeon for the tragedy that is her face. Lil Kim Sued By Ex Business Manager According to TMZ Lil Kim’s been slapped with a not-so-lil lawsuit by her former biz manager … who claims her money-grubbing, diva-like behavior cost him MILLIONS in botched endorsement deals. Andrew Ro says his company, International Rock Star Corp, inked a licensing deal with Kim back in August 2012 and planned to roll out a slew of products, including a perfume line, clothing line, vodka drink, energy drink, Steve Madden shoe line and even a honey maker. Problem is Ro says Kim was a menace to work with and often refused to come to project meetings unless she was being paid extra for her time — making it difficult to get anything off the ground. Not only that, he says when a project was finally executed — like her perfume — Kim refused to promote the product and then stopped taking their phone calls. After Kim cut contact, Ro says she fired off a cease and desist letter regarding future projects too … and then filed a lawsuit claiming IRS tricked her into a bad licensing deal. Ro fired back with his own suit, claiming Lil Kim’s to blame and her antics cost his company $15 million. A judge has yet to rule. We doubt Lil Kim even has stacks to give away. Bush and Jimmy Carter were cheered by a crowd of former White House officials and world leaders. They were joined on stage by their wives – the nation’s current and former first ladies – for this outdoor ceremony on a sunny Texas morning. The leaders were putting aside the profound ideological differences that have divided them for years for a day of pomp and pleasantries for Bush, 66. As the George W. Bush Presidential Center opens, with it comes an unofficial return to the public eye for a man whose presidency was so polarizing. Presidential politics also hung over the event. Before the ceremony even began, former First Lady Barbara Bush made waves by brushing aside the building Jeb Bush 2016 presidential buzz. “We’ve had enough Bushes,” said Mrs. Bush, the spouse of George H.W. Bush and mother of George W. Bush, in an interview with NBC’s Today . Yet the man of the hour George W. Bush, openly talked up the presidential prospects of his brother in an interview that aired Wednesday on ABC: “He doesn’t need my counsel, because he knows what it is: ‘Run.'” What happens then is a topic for another day. This one was about George W. Bush’s presidency and the interactive exhibits housed to commemorate it. Major events such as 9/11, the financial bailout, the Iraq War and the international focus on HIV and AIDS, are all prominently displayed at the venue. Bush says he is comfortable with the decisions he made while in office and hopes history will be a fair judge. His successor will likely reflect similarly one day. For now, though, in a reminder of his duties as Oval Office inhabitant, President Obama is already off to honor members of the Texas fertilizer plant explosion .
