His friend Jim Norton made the announcement today and explained, “We don’t know how he is. Republican Presidential hopeful Herman Cain is sorry, kind of, and says he was kidding, sorta, for a recent comment about an electric fence protecting the U.S. Suddenly a bona fide contender for his party’s nomination in ’12, the Georgia businessman is now facing more intense scrutiny as his poll numbers surge up. As such, his off-the-cuff comments are coming back to bite him at times … such as when he called for an electric fence along the U.S. border with Mexico. Campaigning in Arizona, Herman Cain appeared with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, an aggressive anti-immigration proponent. “It was a joke,” Cain said. “I apologize if I offended anyone. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa.” However, the Phoenix New Times reports it might not be a joke . Cain doesn’t want to offend anyone … but he was kinda serious about the electric deal: “I don’t like to offend anyone, however, I don’t apologize for using a combination of a fence. And it might be electrified, I’m not walking away from that.” “I don’t want to offend anybody. It was a joke to an extent, but I fully intend to do what we need to do because I’m sensitive to our citizens being hurt.” So he supports it, unless you don’t? Spoken like a true politician. Cain told an audience Saturday that his border fence is “going to be electrified. And there is going to be a sign on the other side that says, ‘It will kill you.'” Well, at least he would put a sign up, right? Rep. Charlie Gonzalez (D-Texas), who chairs the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, took issue with the presidential contender’s remarks. Gonzalez said: “Words have consequences, both in shaping ideas and inspiring actions. Kelsey Grammer was a guest on Piers Morgan Tonight yesterday and spent a portion of the interview hyping his upcoming Starz drama, Boss , a portion talking about his acting career in general – and a significant amount of time bashing the heck out of ex-wife Camille Grammer. “Camille asked for a divorce really almost the first day we were married,” Kelsey told the CNN host. “If you say you want a divorce enough times, you’re going to get one.” Kelsey Grammer Bashes Camille on Piers Morgan Tonight So why did it take 13 years and two children before this couple split? It’s unclear, especially because the actor believes Camille “married me because I was Frasier.” He says she only cared about getting famous. Rick Ross’ seizures haven’t only raised concern in his fans, but also his ex-girlfriend Elise Neal. After suffering two attacks on two separate planes hours apart from one another on Friday, Neal is speaking up. She told RumorFix : “I hate to say this, but I saw this coming. I think they’re [his record label] pushing him too hard. I know he’s very career driven, but I don’t think they take enough time to care about what they’re doing to his body. They don’t think about him or his health, pushing him to do all these videos, pushing tours and shows. Dual seizures in one day alarmed the fans, friends and family of Rick Ross , but when he appeared at his new Wing Stop after the health scare, it seemed he didn’t appreciate the severity of what happened to him. His good friend DJ Khaled spoke with Russell Simmons about how Ricky Rozay is doing, and despite what it may seem, Ross is slowing down. According to ViewHipHop.com , Khaled said, “He is at the crib and is going to rest and just chill until he gets his energy back. He is going to take everything one day by day.” Khaled added, ”I told him [Rick Ross] he has got to just chill and reIax. I told him he is a big enough star that he can just stay home. By James Montgomery Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News SANTIAGO, Chile — Justin Bieber faced plenty of challenges when he shot his “Mistletoe” video , the least of which was the fact that he did it in September, in Tennessee, with fake snow cascading down from the sky. The way he tells it, the biggest obstacle was not even being weirded out by Santa. “It was different because, like, it’s a Christmas video, so you gotta get your Christmas spirit on,” Bieber told MTV News backstage in Santiago, Chile, where he played to 55,000 screaming fans on Saturday. “We had Santa there. He was kind of interesting because he had this finger that would light up, but I never knew that, so he would come up to me randomly and pointed at me and his finger lit up and it was really strange. I was like, ‘Santa doesn’t do that, my friend.’ ” Of course, Bieber was quick to add that despite the awkward interaction, he remains decidedly pro-Santa, since “he gets kids in the holiday spirit.” Bieber’s “Mistletoe” video will make its world premiere Tuesday at 7:54 p.m. on MTV — with a special live stream to follow on MTV.com, where we’ll roll out more of our interview with him! — and on Monday (October 17), he released the song to iTunes. He’s rather proud of how both turned out, because he got to collaborate with two of his favorites: director Roman White and the production team known as the Messengers. “[Roman] can tell a story really well, so we wanted to use him,” Bieber explained. “He shot the ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ video, and I thought he did a great job; he shot the ‘You Belong [With] Me’ video with Taylor Swift, and he had a lot of great experience and a lot of great work. “[And] Nasri [one member of the Messengers team], he’s really intelligent, he can tell a story as well, Christmas, anything,” he continued. “So we were thinking of doing a Christmas album last year, we never really got to it. And this year I was like, ‘This year I really want to do it,’ so we collaborated on some ideas and sure enough, we got some great Christmas music. … I think I have a few classics on the album, I really, really do.
