Praise! Former NFL Player Devon Still’s Daughter Is Still Cancer-Free

Source: Gilbert Carrasquillo / Getty In a world inundated with so much bad news, this is a story that will warm your heart. Leah Still , the 8-year-old daughter of former Cincinnati Bengals player Devon Still, is STILL cancer-free for the third year in the row! Remember, back in 2014 the then-4-year-old was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma , a cancer often found in the adrenal glands that can later spread throughout the body. Her heartbroken father shared that the doctors has given a Leah a 50-50 chance to live. Thankfully, she endured, and while doctors believed they saw something suspicious in her last check-up, possibly the cancer coming back, her follow-up results found the contrary, TMZ recently reported . Devon posted the results on their YouTube channel, letting little Leah share her good news. “Guess what, guys? We got good news. Uh huh! The scans were clear. Mhm! Thank you, everybody, for praying for me.” Earlier this month, the Stills were guests on the TODAY show , reflecting on their journey with cancer and to promote his new book “Still In The Game.” Leah gave some pretty sound advice to other young people battling cancer. “I would say stay strong and it doesn’t matter what’s on the outside, it matters what’s on the inside,” she said. “And you’re not fighting this alone, ever.” Another important lesson the father-daughter duo learned was the importance of being vulnerable in front of one another—something they didn’t allow themselves to do when Leah was first diagnosed. “That’s probably one of my biggest regrets is not being more vulnerable in front of her,” Devon admitted. “I thought that I had to be strong all the time, but I didn’t know that she was experiencing the same emotions that I was going through. Watch their interview here: So inspirational. Congrats Leah! We’ve always been rooting for you. RELATED NEWS: Praise! Criminal Minds to End After Season 15

The Behavioral Analysis Unit will soon shutter its doors. For good. CBS announced on Thursday that Criminal Minds has been renewed for a 15th season, delivering great news to fans of this long-running drama… yet tempering their mood with some awful news. This will be the 15th and FINAL season. The concluding run will consist of 10 episodes, the network added, bringing the show’s total by the time all it said, done and solved to an astounding 325 installments. “It’s really bittersweet, but I’m so, so grateful to CBS for giving us this heads-up,” showrunner Erica Messer told TV Line of getting the news. She added: “I think one of my biggest fears was always, ‘Oh man, what if we don’t know’ and then they just don’t bring back the show? But they respect this series and the cast and the crew and the fans enough to end this properly.” The procedural is one of the longest-running dramas on CBS. “We wanted to make sure Erica had the time and ability to write a season (14) finale that honors the characters and the fans,” CBS Executive Vice President of Current Programs Amy Reisenbach told Deadline. “We discussed wanting to keep the show in continuous production so 10 felt like the right number for us to roll straight into and give Erica enough episodes to end the series the way she wanted to.” Speaking to Deadline, Messer also explained that the final season will film immediately following the conclusion of the current season — and that a major character may be killed off. Look for a “very worthy” adversary for the team to be introduced, she previewed, especially David Rossi. The bad guy will be introduced later in Season 14. “We have one in the works right now who’s a very memorable villain, but I don’t want to say too much if it doesn’t work out with casting,” Messer added. Messer has been in charge of Criminal Minds since it premiered. It is averaging 4.7 million total viewers and a 0.8 rating among 18-49-year olds in its Wednesdays-at-10/9c time slot. Season 14 will wrap up for viewers on February 6, so look for a huge cliffhanger that will make you hunger for the final season in 2019-2020. Messer, meanwhile, has had plenty of time to figure out how she wants the series to say goodbye. But that vision has also changed throughout the past decade-plus of being on the air. “That journey has changed a lot from the early days on the show because I wouldn’t have anticipated all the changes that’ve happened,” she said to Deadline. “I also don’t know if I would’ve anticipated that we’d have 325 episodes by the time it’s all said and done. It’s such an honor to be part of a series for that long.” This is how she concluded the interview, talking about the finale and what we can expect: “These people are family and friends to us at this point. I know it’s a drama, but I’m less likely to injure or write someone off in a way that says they’re not breathing anymore. I know a lot of shows, when they find out it’s going to be over, then characters are killed off or something like that. That’s not my instinct, mainly because I’ve been here for so long with all of these voices, I just don’t want that to be how it ends for them. So the jet won’t crash, I can tell you that.

Boy, Bye. Master P Blames Parents Of R. Kelly Accusers, But ‘Ain’t Judging’ The Singer

Source: Chelsea Lauren / Getty Master P  recently shared his opinion about the allegations against R. Kelly and the singer’s alleged victims. But unlike Chance the Rapper and John Legend  who have come out against the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer, the rapper blames the parents, NOT the singer himself. On social media, the rapper posted his thoughts about the highly-watched Lifetime docuseries, “Surviving R. Kelly,” which provided an in-depth look at the 25-plus-years of sexual misconduct accusations against the “Pied Piper.” The 48-year-old father admitted that he doesn’t like folks like the Savages and doesn’t believe they did enough to protect their children. “Let me tell y’all about R. Kelly. The truth is I don’t like the parents…Y’all know I ain’t gonna be on no reality show or Lifetime, I’ma be on CNN, straight up. It’s gonna get real, think about it, I’m not about to play with nobody, I’ma burn it down, I’m gonna do something,” he said.   In a second video, he added this wouldn’t have happened to him. “Ain’t nobody gonna play with my kids. Straight up. You shouldn’t have even been on TV, and if you a parent, you shouldn’t be on that unless you on CNN from a jail cell.” Adding, “I don’t know if R. Kelly did it or not, that ain’t any of my business, I ain’t judging, but I’m just saying those parents shouldn’t have let that go that far. … If my kid in there, it’s gonna be all out war. Everybody coming outside, to be honest with you.”   Wait…so which one is it? How can you be mad at parents for not protecting their daughters from sexual and physical violence you claim may not have happened?   Folks on Twitter were confused and disgusted by what Master P said, accusing him of victim blaming and refusing to hold Kelly accountable for his alleged behavior: Just heard Master P say that what R. Kelly does is not his business. Master P has a Black daughter. Again, proximity to Black women doesn't guarantee being seen as human. — T Lloyd (@T_Lloyd) January 7, 2019 This is disgusting. @MasterPMiller just giving R Kelly a pass and blaming the parents. This is why R Kelly has not been held accountable in a way that matches his crimes. https://t.co/TxOK1fLOts — Yashar Ali (@yashar) January 7, 2019 Master P blamed everyone else except R. Kelly. When it came down to actually speaking on R. Kelly, then “its not his business” “he aint judging”. He doesn't actually care about Black girls and women. — Melancholy Tiff *Capitalism kills* Hallback (@Tiff__83) January 7, 2019 So Master P won’t judge R. Kelly, but he can judge the parents of R. Kelly’s victims? pic.twitter.com/2ug3WlNQdL — Blanche NeverHo (@Black_Daria1) January 7, 2019 The parents called the police multiple times, made multiple missing persons reports, set up a hotline for R.Kelly victims, did several wellness checks, went to TMZ, went to the today show, and Master P is mad because they didn't go to CNN? What the fuck is wrong with y'all? — Blerd Talk (@AntravisBisou) January 7, 2019 Of course, there were also people who agreed with the rapper’s stance: Master p said exactly what needed to be said about the R kelly situation — Osama Bin Milly (@Militant_Mill) January 7, 2019 Aye Master P the realest man to speak on R Kelly and that’s FACT! Like he said I’m going to war behind my child that’s LAW! Mfs woulda been doing my interview from CNN too skraight up — Young Entrepreneur (@YannaaRose) January 7, 2019 Master P the realest one. Everybody blaming R.Kelly but ain’t nobody blaming these parents. — A K A Y (@ForeverAKay_) January 7, 2019 This set of Master P videos came out the same day that Facebook shut down pages on its site trying to “expose” the singer’s accusers.  As we previously reported , reps from the social network claimed that “Surviving The Lies” violated terms of service. “The Page violated our Community Standards and has been removed,” a Facebook rep said in a statement. “We do not tolerate bullying or sharing other’s private contact information and take action on content that violates our policies as soon as we’re aware.” Initially,  TMZ reported  that “[R. Kelly] and his camp” were behind the two accounts and created them in order to fight back against the doc. A Facebook page created yesterday is now running ads to smear R Kelly's accusers. The page paints Kelly as someone “surviving lies.” pic.twitter.com/hbwZ4DXXiz — Ryan Mac (@RMac18) January 7, 2019 RELATED NEWS: #SurvivingRKelly: Facebook Shuts Down Page ‘Exposing’ The Singer’s Accusers #SurvivingRKelly: Five Emotions You’ll Experience Watching The New Lifetime Docuseries Aaliyah’s Mother Dismisses Backup Dancer’s Claim She Saw Aaliyah & R. Chance The Rapper On R. Kelly’s Alleged Victims: ‘I Didn’t Value Their Stories Because They Were Black Women’

Source: Chelsea Lauren / Getty A clip featuring Chance The Rapper is making waves on the Internet as the finale of “ Surviving R. Kelly” dropped on Saturday night. In a never-aired interview for Cassius , former Interactive One VP Jamilah Lemieux sat down with the Grammy winner in May 2018 to discuss a range of topics, including his past collaboration with the Pied Piper. READ:  #SurvivingRKelly: Five Emotions You’ll Experience Watching The New Lifetime Docuseries In it, Chance, a Chicago-native, apologized for working with the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer and explained why he did it at the time. “We’re programmed to really be hypersensitive to Black male oppression. It’s just prevalent in all media, and when you see n***as getting beat up by the police, it’s men,” Chance says in the interview clip. “That’s a scene you see…slavery for a lot of people, they envision men in chains, he said. Adding, “But Black women are exponentially a higher oppressed and violated group of people just in comparison to the whole world. Maybe I didn’t care because I didn’t value the accusers’ stories because they were Black women. ” pic.twitter.com/0J46S5YOkW — Chance The Rapper (@chancetherapper) January 6, 2019 Rolling Stone had previously reported that Chance simply said, “I didn’t value the accusers’ stories because they were Black women.” However, Chance clapped back on Saturday night saying the quote was taken out context because it didn’t take into account everything he had said before that in the interview. In a note he shared on social media, the 25-year-old explained his controversial quote: “The quote was taken out of context. The truth is any of us who ever ignored the R Kelly stories, or ever believed he was being setup/attacked by the system (as Black men often are) were doing so at the detriment of Black women and girls. I apologize to all of his survivors for working with him and for taking this long to speak out.” pic.twitter.com/bqbKlsDA9l — Chance The Rapper (@chancetherapper) January 6, 2019 Anyone mentioning that I have black women in my family is deliberately missing the point. Regardless of the proximity of beneficial BW in your life, or being black yourself, we are all capable of subconsciously discrediting BW and their stories because its indoctrinated. — Chance The Rapper (@chancetherapper) January 6, 2019 Even with Chance explaining himself, many Black women still flocked to Twitter to express how his quotes made them feel. And the results were polarizing: Some condemned the rapper, while others commended him for being able to admit he was wrong. Last thing before I dip: I'm glad Chance The Rapper told the truth. I'm tired of Black Men and White folks gaslighting us. They don't believe us BECAUSE we are Black Women. He said it outright–stated a nasty truth that is killing us in every arena from childbirth to DV. — Octavia Butler knew… (@Nikyatu) January 6, 2019 What the headline should have read is: Despite Chance the Rapper having a black daughter and fiancé he discounted the victim’s stories because they were black women. He now regrets making music with a sexual predator because it is bad for his brand. https://t.co/9TMFiNqkdn — Ariel Hazzard (@ArielHazzard) January 6, 2019 A photo of Chance the Rapper with Jermaine Maxey from June 2018. Jerhonda Pace confirmed Maxey is the guy who recruited her and sought her out on behalf of Kelly. She also said Maxey engaged in sex acts with the girls and Kelly. pic.twitter.com/VbhaLtB5Hw — AshleyRay Grande (@arayyay) January 6, 2019 Chance The Rapper’s drummer is the brother of the girl R. Kelly peed on. Bye Chance. — J. Holiday’s Gucci Jacket (@eleven8) January 6, 2019 he said “i didn’t believe them because they were black women” alluding to the stereotype that nobody ever believes black women. he’s admitting that he fed into that and overlooked their stories by working w Kelly when he shouldn’t have. and now he’s owning up — tal (@whatsatalia) January 6, 2019 I could cancel chance the rapper but I wasn’t listening to his music anyway pic.twitter.com/Ee7MZZit0S — -jacquees hive (@__SoulFlower) January 6, 2019 “I didn’t value the accusers stories. Because they were BW. I made a mistake.” – Chance The Rapper admitting his misogynoir. He sounds like any dude I grew up w/ in church. Something familiar about “good church boy” w/ virulent misogynoir that becomes quotidian. #SurvivingRKelly —

Orlando Brown Reveals He Has ‘Quite A Bit’ Of Children, But Can’t Remember Their Ages And Names

See the rest here:

Source: David Livingston / Getty From domestic violence accusations to crystal meth charges , it’s not a secret that former child actor  Orlando Brown hasn’t taken the best path in life in the past few years. Now, he may be adding “deadbeat Dad” to his resume. On the Dec. 21 episode of “Dr. Phil,” the “That’s So Raven” star admitted that he has fathered numerous children, so many in fact, that he can’t remember all of their names and ages. “I got a 2-year-old, 4-year-old… 5-year-old, 8 and 11.” He added another surprising detail to the mix by mentioning, “[The] 2-year-old still in the belly. We don’t know [the name] yet.” Brown’s friend told Dr. Phil that he called the show because he’s extremely worried about the actor’s weakened psychological state. “I called in because Orlando, he has mental problems. He’s burnt so many bridges, no one wants to deal with him. If you can’t help, he does not have a chance,” one of Brown’s friends explained during a call-in during the episode. “Out of nowhere, he’ll say: ‘Michael Jackson is my father. I own Neverland.” To show his love for the King of Pop, during his interview he rocked a pair of  contacts that made his eyes closer resemble that of a snake’s . “They’re my Michael Jackson eyelids from ‘Thriller,’” Brown told Dr. Phil. Brown continued by claiming he’s Jackson’s son. “My full name is Orlando Brown Prince Michael Jackson Jr. aka Blanket,” Brown claimed. “My nickname I gave to myself. My father was Michael Jackson, the great Michael Jackson…I used to always wonder why I’m so astronomically blessed and gifted when it comes to being talented. I rap, sing and I do everything immaculately,” he stressed. Adding, “The eyes. And also just speaking to different Jackson family members that, you know, have confirmed it. So yeah, it’s a blessing to know that. I can sit here today and say, that yeah, that Michael Jackson was my father.” Before the interview ended, Dr. Phil offered Orlando help at a Malibu addiction and mental health treatment center. Sadly, he refused that help on air. “That sounds cool but I don’t have the time right now,” he said. “I really wish I did have the time. I’ve been going through treatments and a lot of group sessions and all of this stuff unnecessarily in the first place. I refuse to let myself believe that, you know, I have a problem.” He also talked about what he’s trying to focus on now. “Right now what I need help with is me basically having my home, my kids and my life. That’s all I need,” he said. “Like I mentioned earlier, four years sober. I don’t think I need the help.” “I think some people on the outside need to grow up and they need to really take responsibility for what they’ve done in their lives and stop trying to hide between other people’s masks,” he continued. “I just got out of rehab, out of the E.R. I’m not doing no more time away from my kids that I need to. I want my kids to be with me in Neverland.” Thankfully, according to Dr. Phil after the show ended,  Orlando later accepted his help and is currently in the center getting the attention he so desperately needs. We hope he gets well for the new year. Can Amber Heard Get A Plate At The Cookout Now?

I’m going to jump out the window and say it, Aquaman is one of the best movies from the Warner Bros DC Universe in a very long time, but during my conversation with Amber Heard, I think I might make a plate for her to take out from our hypothetical cookout. She shook her head at the BBQ Becky’s of the world, reads books about White Fragility and she’s one hell of a Princess Mera in Aquaman. Amber explains why we see so much more negativity but points out a change is coming, “I think it’s easy to see how much people aren’t doing because we have such a heightened awareness and ability to see and connect and share with the rapid acceleration with the access to social media through our phones and an increased connectedness with that,” Amber says. She also says that same connectedness which is making us more aware of the unjust things happening in the world it’s also changing the world at the same time. “There are negative things happening in this world at rapid speeds but there is so many good things happening. There is so much positive change happening but what’s really inspiring and encouraging is knowing where it came from.” Amber explains the change it’s coming from the ground up, young people and boots on the ground.” Check out my interview with the cast of Aquaman and go see this new movie when it hits theaters at midnight. Travis Scott: I’m Proposing Soon to the "Coolest Motherf-cker" EVER!

We posed a very important question just a few weeks ago: Have Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott confirmed their engagement ? The answer, as it turns out, is not.  But Scott has now talked more extensively to Rolling Stone than ever before when it comes to his famous romance, confirming to the publication that we were only slightly off base by asking the inquiry above. Yes, an engagement is coming… soon . “We’ll get married soon,” Scott says very simply in this cover story, teasing his proposal and making it sound as if he knows what the answer will be when it happens: “I just gotta sturdy up – I gotta propose in a fire way.” And in a public way that will be filmed by E! cameras and which can therefore make our family tons of money, Kris Jenner is no doubt thinking. Scott got together with Jenner in the spring of 2017. Just a couple months later, we learned Kylie was pregnant, prompting many to assume the baby was unplanned and that Scott was only sticking around because it would be a major PR hit to abandon his knocked up girlfriend. But this was never the case, he insists. Absolutely, the relationship began in a casual manner. However, it took a turn for the serious long before the stars had unprotected sex and created a life inside Jenner’s womb. “We was just two kids, f-cking around. Maybe, like, the first week, you don’t know if it’s real or a fling,” he told Rolling Stone, explaining: “Then the second week you’re like, ‘Whoa, I’m still talking to her, she’s responding, I’m responding. We ain’t run out of a thing to say.’ And it got to a point where I was like, ‘I need her with me to operate. She’s that one.’” Not only is she that one .  It sounds like Kylie is The One for Travis. Followers have been wondering for awhile whether Scott and Jenner were already married , considering how they frequently refer to each other as “hubby” and “wifey.” It’s really sort of irritating. As for how Scott reacted when he learned Kylie was expecting? He spoke on that in this interview as well… “At first I was like, ‘Man, I need a son.’ “When we found out it was a girl, I was like, ‘Huhhh.’ But after a while I was like, ‘Yo, this might be the illest thing that ever happened.’ “And when Stormi was born, I was like, ‘Life is fire, bro.’” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Or, rather, we wouldn’t have said it like that ourselves. But we think Scott is saying he’s psyched to be a dad. The question now is when Kylie and Travis will have another child , not that there’s any rush at all to do so. They’ve already defied the odds by sticking together this long — and it doesn’t sound as if there’s an end in sight. “People don’t understand how real my girl is. How ill she is,” Scott says in his own way, concluding: “They have assumptions, bullshit-ass remarks of what they think is going on. Nah, bro… She’s the coolest motherf-cker of all time.” View Slideshow: Kylie Jenner & Khloe Kardashian: Pregnant at the Same Time AGAIN?!
