Produced entirely by The Alchemist, the album joins the ranks of some of Spitta’s best collaborative efforts–of which there are many. Following the release of this highly anticipated project, The New Orleans native joined B.Dot and Elliott over at Rap Radar to talk about fatherhood, finances, Mac Miller, producers and more. Well, we didn’t see this one coming. Then again, that’s been true of pretty much every news story involving Charlie Sheen for at least the past decade. Everyone’s favorite dragon-blooded warlock from Mars took to Twitter today to reveal that he’s been sober for a full year. Sheen tweeted a photo of his newly-acquired anniversary chip from Alcoholics Anonymous along with a characteristically enthusiastic caption. “So, THIS happened yesterday! a fabulous moment, in my renewed journey,” wrote Sheen. He added the hashtag: “#TotallyFocused.” We’ve joked around over the years about Sheen being more cocaine than man , but we’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate on adopting a healthier lifestyle. We probably don’t need to tell you that Sheen’s substance abuse caused some problems for the actor over the years. Of course, what’s less talked-about is the fact that the Sheenius apparently had more than a decade of sobriety under his belt at one point. In a 2016 interview with Dr. Oz, Sheen joked that he’d attempted to quit drinking “about 2,000″ times. And it seems that at one point, he was victorious in his battle against the bottle. “There was a stretch where I didn’t drink for 11 years. No cocaine, no booze for 11 years. So I know that I have that in me,” he said. Sheen is HIV positive , and in the same interview, he revealed that it was his diagnosis that caused him to fall off the wagon. “It was to suffocate the anxiety and what my life was going to become with this condition and getting so numb I didn’t think about it,” Sheen told Oz. “It was the only tool I had at the time, so I believed that would quell a lot of that angst. A lot of that fear. And it only made it worse.” To his credit, even in his darkest and most scandalous times, Sheen tends to be more forthcoming about his flaws than most celebs. In the interview with Oz, Sheen was asked to provide three words to describe his old self and three to describe his current self. The actor said he used to be “hammered, fractured, crazy” and is now “focused, sober, hopeful.” Of course, that was in January of 2016, and Sheen celebrated one year of sobriety today, so we can safely conclude that his path to recovery has had its share of roadblocks. But as any addict or recovery expert will tell you, the important thing is to remain focused on sobriety in spite of past failures — and it seems that’s just what Charlie is doing. We wish him all the best.
Source: Prince Williams / Getty Drake Settles False Claims And Extortion Lawsuit Against Layla Lace Remember when we told you that Drake was suing the woman who made false pregnancy claims against him and later filed a rape report against the rapper and demanded millions of dollars cash to keep the claims “private?” Well, it looks like the dust has settled on all of that. According to TMZ , Drake filed docs saying that he and the vixen with amply enhanced everything have settled their differences when it comes to her claims that Drake impregnated her during a one night stand during the “Boy Meets World” tour last year, her later reports that the encounter was a sexual assault, and her extortion attempts surrounding both claims. According to the docs, Layla has agreed not to republish the April 17, 2017 Instagram post where she posted medical paperwork proving a pregnancy and texts between herself and a third party making arrangements for her to meet with Drake alongside a caption claiming that he had been ignoring her since she informed him of the pregnancy. She is also not permitted to make any further appearances or public “statements alleging or insinuating that [Drake] assaulted her,” no mention of her pregnancy by him or his subsequent abandonment, or anything negative about him in general. She also can’t get any friends or associates to do this dirty work on her behalf. Essentially, rather than any monetary damages, Drake settled for a “leave me alone and keep my name out of your mouth” payment from Layla. Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic Tiffany Haddish Is Currently Working On Putting Out A Rap Album Tiffany Haddish skyrocketed to fame with the quickness this past year, and it’s all thanks to her being funny–but that doesn’t mean she’s going to stick to just one thing for the rest of her career. In fact, she’s already got her next move locked and loaded, and it’s probably not what any of us would expect. The comedian revealed her new side hustle during an interview with the New York Times . Here’s the excerpt from the interview that reveals what might make up an upcoming project outside of the comedy and acting world: “Haddish’s new goal is to create an empire, though she is not sure exactly how to go about it, or if it will be in the entertainment business or what. But she wants to have 40 or 50 people working for her who will be able to buy houses, put their kids through school, and pass their money down. “The end goal,” she said, “is to create intergenerational wealth and spread joy, and make sure everyone who works with me can spread the same thing and have it trickle down.” In the meantime, she is dabbling in music and trying to make a rap album.” Yep, you read that right. Tiffany Haddish is working on a rap album. Comedians making music is nothing new: from The Lonely Island to the current day, where Lil Duval is climbing the charts with his track “Lil Duval – Smile (Living My Best Life),” there’s no more perfect time than now for Tiffany to dabble. No word yet on whether the songs are going to be a real effort at rapping or some more light-hearted comedy songs, but hopefully we will find out sooner than later.
