32 People Died In A Road Accident In China

About 32 individuals were killed in a collision between two vehicles in China on Sunday. Base on the report of transport officials, the accident happened on a four-lane expressway in the city of Fuxin in northeastern Liaoning province, where an ongoing maintenance work is conducted at a section of the road. There were 21 injured and sent to the hospital for treatment. 28 people in the bus and 3 people in the truck died on the spot after the collision. According to a report, the truck’s driver had pulled out of service area on the side of the road and went in the wrong direction. Suge Knight Arrested For Assault With Deadly Weapon

By Jayson Rodriguez Suge Knight (file) Photo: Mike Guastella/ Getty Images Former Death Row Records CEO Marion “Suge” Knight was arrested early Thursday morning (May 20) and charged with assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly drawing his gun on an unidentified man. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Knight was taken into custody after witnesses called authorities to report the incident. An LAPD spokesperson confirmed the arrest to MTV News and said the hip-hop mogul’s bail was set at $65,000. It was unknown at press time if Knight remains in custody. Knight was also charged with a misdemeanor, in addition the felony assault rap, for driving with a suspended license. Details remain scarce regarding the incident. A rep for Knight said the investigation is still ongoing. Last month, a court date for Knight’s lawsuit against Kanye West was set for December 6 in Miami. The suit stems from a 2008 incident at a party before the MTV Video Music Awards, when Knight was shot at a party West was hosting. A bullet hit Knight in the right leg, shattering a bone and later requiring surgery and intense physical therapy that reportedly cost over $200,000. According to the lawsuit, Knight alleges that West allowed someone to smuggle a gun past security. Lawyers for Knight said people known to have beef with Knight were also in attendance at the Shore Club. West has yet to comment regarding the suit. Knight is seeking $1 million in damages, including for the lost of a diamond stud earring.

Halliburton May Be Culprit In Oil Rig Explosion

Giant oil-services provider Halliburton may be a primary suspect in the investigation into the oil rig explosion that has devastated the Gulf Coast, the Wall Street Journal reports. Though the investigation into the explosion that sank the Deepwater Horizon site is still in its early stages, drilling experts agree that blame probably lies with flaws in the “cementing” process — that is, plugging holes in the pipeline seal by pumping cement into it from the rig.
