Aurora Shooting Victim Files Lawsuit Against Movie Theater, Warner Bros.

Torrence Brown, Jr., one of the many Dark Knight Rises viewers who was inside the Aurora, Colorado movie theater when James Holmes opened fire last Friday morning, has filed a lawsuit in conjunction with the massacre. Brown was not physically injured, but he lost close friend A.J. Boik in the shooting and says he’s suffering from major trauma. As a result, he’s filed a suit against three defendants: The movie theater, which attorney Donald Karpel says was negligent in not possessing a more secure emergency door, which made it easy for Holmes to prop it open and enter it with his arsenal of guns. Holmes’ doctors. The lawyer also tells TMZ that Holmes is believed to have been on medication – he was acting VERY strangely yesterday in court – and his doctors failed in monitoring their patient properly. Warner Bros., the studio behind The Dark Knighr Rises, because the movie is especially violent, Holmes was basing his actions largely around it and movie goes weren’t even sure if he was part of the attraction or not when he first made his fatal move. “Somebody has to be responsible for the rampant violence that is shown today,” Karpel says. Colorado Shooting Victims Identified; President Obama Visits Aurora

The names and ages of the 12 movie goers who tragically died in Friday’s horrific shooting in Aurora, Colorado have been identified. They are: Jessica Ghawi , 24 Veronica Moser-Sullivan, 6 John T. Larimer, 27 Alexander J. Boik, 18 Jesse E. Childress, 29 Jonathan T. Blunk, 26 Rebecca Ann Wingo, 32 Alex M. Sullivan, 27 Gordon W. Cowdon, 52 Micayla C. Medek, 23 Alexander C. Teves, 24 Matthew R. McQuinn, 27 According to the Coroner’s statement, “the cause of death in all cases is related to gunshot wounds” and all families of those listed have been notified. We send our thoughts and prayers to them all. Meanwhile, with James Holmes in custody and new information continuing to leak out regarding this suspect, President Obama touched down yesterday in Aurora. He visited the University of Colorado Hospital, visited with the families of the victims and met with Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper. “Out of this darkness a brighter day is going to come,” Obama said. “Although the perpetrator of this evil act has received a lot of attention over the last couple of days that attention will fade away. And in the end, after he has felt the full force of our justice system, what will be remembered are the good people who were impacted by this tragedy.”

Man Jailed For Incest After Fathering Three Children With His Daughter This man truly ain’t isht: A 56-year-old man has been jailed after fathering three grandchildren with his daughter. Charles Shamblin Jr is alleged to have had an incestuous relationship with his daughter over a 13 year period. The alleged abuse began when the girl was seven years old and continued until she was 20. Police in Charleston, West Virginia, said the girl gave birth to three children. An investigation into the incest was launched earlier this year when the woman, now aged 35, told police that her father began abusing her when she was seven years old. She told detectives she gave birth to her first daughter when she was 14 years old. Further children followed when she was aged 19 and 20. Investigators say a paternity test that was administered at Marshall University in Huntington confirmed Shamblin to be the father of his daughter’s three children, now aged 21, 16 and 15. Shamblin Jr.appeared in Kanawha County Circuit Court on charges of second-degree sexual assault, incest and sexual abuse by a parent or guardian. Disgusting. Source

Ain’t nobody trying to hook up with sicko! James Holmes is boyfriend material, that’s the shocker a Match.com member says she got when she logged on Friday afternoon to see the site suggesting she hook up with the man accused of killing 12 people in the Colorado movie massacre. Via TMZ reports : Diana (who asked us not to use her last name) tells TMZ she was floored when she saw Holmes’ profile among her matches — less than a day after the shootings — saying it was “pretty scary getting matched to a mass murderer.” Diana says the profile said James hadn’t visited the site in the last 24 hours, so it clearly had been created before the shootings. The profile also has the same tagline from James’ adultfinder.com profile — “Will you visit me in prison?” Diana says she informed Match.com of the profile and they said they’d take it down, which Diana says they did minutes later. She took a few screen shots before it was deleted. Holmes’ profile included: – Favorite movies: “Too many good movies to have a favorite, maybe Dumb and Dumber, Hachiko, Star Wars, etc.” – Favorite book: Where’s Waldo? – “You should message me if you’re interested, obviously. Or lookin’ for sexy times. Very nice!” – Political views: Middle of the road – Faith: Agnostic – “I spend a lot of time thinking about the future. Mind = blown” We reached out to Match.com for a comment. So far, no word back. He spends a lot of time thinking about the future? Now he can imagine spending that time locked up in a cell waiting for his last meal.

James Holmes Confirmed as Client on Adult Dating Site

An X-rated dating site has confirmed that suspected Colorado shooter James Holmes was, indeed, a client, having made a profile for the service on July 5 and last logging in some time this week. Adult Friend Finder tells TMZ that it traced the profile in question back to Aurora, Colorado – the town in which Holmes is accused of killing 12 people who were attending a showing of The Dark Knight Rises – and that the address and date of birth entered match those of the alleged murderer. The profile lists basic information, such as Holmes labeling himself a “light/social drinker,” while also including his penis size (“short/average”) and, most eerie of all, a message that reads: Will you visit me in prison? Police will likely investigate the profile just to learn as much as possible about the 24-year old in custody. Holmes reportedly did not put up a fight when arrested, but he was sporting red hair at the time and told authorities ” I’m The Joker ” upon being apprehended.

Christopher Nolan Responds to Dark Knight Rises Tragedy, Expresses "Profound Sorrow"

For the time time since the deadly Colorado shooting that took 12 lives, someone associated with The Dark Knight Rises has spoken out. And that someone is director Christopher Nolan. “Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of The Dark Knight Rises , I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community,” Nolan said, adding: “I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting, but that they were there last night to watch a movie. “I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime. The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me. Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families.” James Holmes is in custody for the crime, which tragically took place just miles from the 1999 school shooting incident in Columbine, Colorado.

This guy is crazier than we all thought!!! According to TMZ reports : A man claiming to be James Holmes created a profile on a popular sex website just days before “The Dark Knight Rises” massacre … in which he described his Johnson as “short/average” … and law enforcement sources tell TMZ investigators are now looking at the site to determine its authenticity. “Holmes” created the profile on AdultFriendFinder.com July 5 — and included a picture of himself with reddish, orange hair … just as officials in Aurora, CO said he looked when he was apprehended Friday morning. “Holmes” — who used the screen name classicjimbo — included a cryptic message on the top of the profile which reads, “Will you visit me in prison?” In his profile, “Holmes” says he’s 6’0″ and single … with an athletic body. Note — the FBI says Holmes is 6’3″. “Holmes” describes himself as a “light/social drinker” … but in the section where he’s asked if he smokes or does drugs, he answered, “I’d prefer not to say.” Oh, but that’s just the beginning… “Holmes” also noted that he’s circumcised. “Holmes” described himself as a straight man … and said he was seeking a sexual relationship with “Women, Couples (man and woman), Groups or Couples (2 women).” “Holmes” also notes that he’s interested in “Freaky Chat or Email, Discreet Relationship, 1-on-1 sex or Group sex (3 or more!)” In the section marked, “Introduction” … “Holmes” said, “Looking for a fling or casual sex gal. Am a nice guy. Well, as nice enough of a guy who does these sort of shenanigans.” Yeah azzhole, we are all very aware of your “shenanigans”. There are a few guys in the prison you’re headed to that may be able to help you with “finding an adult friend”. Maybe this guy was really off them bath salts, just a thought.
