Instead, he had to settle on a James Bond-inspired Omega watch. “I got this watch … It’s James Bond’s watch,” Joe proudly told MTV News on Wednesday (August 18) at the New York premiere of “Camp Rock 2.” “It shoots lasers out of it for certain people,” he added. The day before his August 15 birthday, Joe had a mini-surprise party thrown for him on stage at a show in Hershey, Pennsylvania. How did he spend the day itself? Relaxing: “[I celebrated] with family and friends,” he said. “It was awesome. We sat by the pool and hung out.” Joe seemed genuinely pleased with his watch, although when he performed with his brothers on “Good Morning America” , he still seemed to really want that dog. “Besides a dog, I don’t know,” he said when asked about his birthday wishes. “That’s all I kind of wanted. Last Thursday, I had a lengthy, terrific interview with James Cameron in advance of the special edition of Avatar (rereleased to theaters August 27), and all this week, Movieline will bring you pieces of that wide-ranging talk. Though it’s looking very likely that James Cameron might set up a pair of back-to-back Avatar sequels as his next project, there are still a couple of other items on his slate clamoring for his attention. In fact, there’s only one Cameron-directed film that’s actually on the books: the Titanic rerelease, coming out in April of 2012. Since Cameron has inserted several new minutes into his Avatar special edition, can we expect Titanic to feature a similar handful of never-before-seen scenes?

Sandra Bullock and Jesse James were photographed together Monday for the first time since their marriage imploded, but don’t expect a romantic reunion. We think. The two were seen walking together outside James’ West Coast Choppers shop in Long Beach, Calif., after the actress appeared at the Teen Choice Awards . Bullock and James, who finalized their divorce in June, are on speaking terms again as James is preparing to move his family near her Austin, Tex. home. His kids are close to Bullock , and “Jesse would not relocate his family [Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr., and Sunny, 6] without consulting with her,” an insider said. Sandra and Jesse in happier times. Long gone times. The motorbike mogul has been pining for Sandra to give him a second chance after he ruined everything by railing Michelle “Bombshell” McGee and others. Don’t bank on that, though. Not only is their divorce final, but the baby boy they adopted this winter, Louis Bardot, is now solely Sandra’s responsibility. Sources close to her have said she wants desperately to be part of the children’s lives going forward, but not his. In other words … it’s seriously over . The Oscar winner went into hiding before legally ending things with her cheating husband earlier several months ago after nearly five years of marriage.
