Eva Longoria Files For Divorce From Tony Parker

The actress filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Wednesday after a rep denied the split on Tuesday. By Jocelyn Vena Tony Parker and Eva Longoria Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images Though on Tuesday, Eva Longoria released a statement denying that she and basketball player Tony Parker were getting divorced, on Wednesday (November 17), the “Desperate Housewives” star did in fact file to dissolve their marriage. TMZ posted the papers that the actress filed at L.A. County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Longoria is also asking for spousal support from Parker, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs. The legal docs also mention the prenup the couple signed in 2007 and amended last year. The couple had been plagued with rumors of Parker’s infidelity, and a source told TMZ that the actress is “devastated.” Just one day before filing, Longoria’s rep issued a denial regarding a TMZ report that Parker had filed for divorce at a Texas courthouse. The site claimed two clerks at the Bexar County Courthouse confirmed papers were filed and sealed by a family law judge. TMZ later took down its report. Longoria, 35, and Parker, 28, met in November 2004 and were engaged in November 2006. They exchanged vows during a small civil service and again, a day later, on July 7, 2007, at Chateau of Vaux le Vicomte, a 17th-century castle on the outskirts of Paris. Megan Fox Says Seeing ‘Transformers 3’ Will Be ‘Weird’

‘I might be a little jealous when I see somebody kissing my Shia,’ Fox tells MTV News. By Mawuse Ziegbe Megan Fox Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images Megan Fox may have left the cast of “Transformers 3,” but that doesn’t mean she’s completely snubbing the franchise. In fact, when MTV News caught up with the actress at the Toronto Film Festival, Fox insisted that she plans to check out the latest installment of the fantasy juggernaut. “I will see it,” Fox said. “I’m gonna see it.” The actress did admit that watching the battle of the ‘bots continue on without her will be fairly odd. “I might be a little jealous when I see somebody kissing my Shia [LaBeouf], wearing my jeans that I … already had been fit for,” Fox conceded. “It’s kind of weird, actually.” Fox also observed that her replacement, onscreen newcomer and Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley , won’t work the leading-lady role quite like her. “She’s 6 feet tall also, so maybe they’re not the exact same jeans,” Fox quipped about the ad-campaign vet slated to play LaBeouf’s love interest Carly . “But it will be strange.” As much as the actress admits that a Fox-free “Transformers 3” will be a little hard for her to handle, her former co-star has pined for her presence as well. While filming the 2011 release, LaBeouf commented earlier this year that he missed Fox’s contributions to the series. “I love Megan and I miss the girl,” LaBeouf said . “But Sam and [Fox’s character] Mikaela became one character, and here … you have discovery again from a new perspective.” Despite the headline-grabbing cast shake-up, many details about the upcoming “Transformers” film have remained under wraps. However, director Michael Bay has insisted that the third installment, which will be released in 3-D and will abandon the “dorky comedy” aspects, will likely signal the end of the series. “As a trilogy, it really ends,” Bay said. “It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Transformers 3.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . WWD.com reports that the VMA-winning pop star had just signed a deal with Coty Inc. to create fragrances. Stephen Mormoris, senior vice president of global marketing in the Coty Beauty division, told the website that a deal was reached last week and that the first Gaga perfume will be released in 2012. Mormoris went on to describe the pop star as a “phenomenon” and “a fascinating cultural force” and said he hopes her mass appeal will “electrify” the market on behalf of his company. ‘Glee’ Star Matthew Morrison Teams With JC Chasez For Solo Album

Actor gets help from former ‘NSYNC-er for ‘Dancing in the Rain.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Matthew Morrison Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images It’s no Acafellas reunion, but “Glee” star Matthew Morrison says he hooked up with former boy bander JC Chasez for one of the tracks on his solo album, which he plans to release next year. “I wrote about half the album so far, but I’ve definitely co-wrote. I’ve definitely teamed up with some great producers, some great songwriters,” he teased MTV News at the “Glee” season two premiere party on Tuesday night in Los Angeles. “And yeah, I just did this great song last week with JC Chasez that was very, very cool. It turned out really well. He’s such a good songwriter.” While the details of the collaboration with the former ‘NSYNC member are scant, Morrison (who plays glee club coach Will Schuester on the show) did share the name of the track. “It’s called ‘Dancing in the Rain,’ not ‘Singing in the Rain,’ but ‘Dancing in the Rain.’ ” Morrison shared that he’s got some other collaborations on the album, but wouldn’t name names. “It’s very eclectic. I’m doing some great duets. I can’t release who they’re with yet, [but it’s] some people that you’ve probably heard of before, that you’ve definitely heard of before.” Fans of “Glee,” which returns to Fox on September 21, shouldn’t be surprised to learn what Morrison’s album will sound like. “It’s gonna be a little adult contemporary,” he said. “And there’s gonna be some pop songs that you can shake your money maker to in the club.” And while Morrison’s co-stars may be presenting an award at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, he’s got even bigger plans following his album’s release. “I’m hoping to perform at the VMAs next year!” The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday. The party starts with MTV News’ VMA Pre-Show at 8 p.m., followed by the main event at 9 p.m. ET. Fans can go to VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to 97979 if they are Verizon subscribers) to vote for Best New Artist from now through Sunday. Jessica Alba ‘Inspired’ Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Spy Kids 4’

Writer/director recalls seeing the ‘Machete’ star change diapers on set. By Kara Warner Jessica Alba at the “Machete” premiere Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Let’s face it, Jessica Alba is known for her sexy factor. No matter what role she’s in, be it a superhero (“Fantastic Four”), a pharmaceutical sales rep (in the upcoming “Little Fockers”) or an immigration officer (this week’s “Machete”), Alba’s addition to any cast turns up its heat. Such is even the case with Robert Rodriguez’s “Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World.” When MTV News caught up with the actress and her director at the L.A. premiere of “Machete” earlier this week, we asked them how her casting came to be. “I was so inspired, seeing her on [the ‘Machete’] set trying to be beautiful for the camera and yet having to [run off] to change her baby’s diaper,” Rodriguez explained. “I thought, ‘You know what, that would be great as a spy mom, I’ve got to write that in.’ ” And since Rodriguez is the writer/director/creator of the “Spy Kids” franchise, he did just that. “I wrote that into the script, based on her,” he said of what will his third film with Alba. The 28-year-old actress/mom said she’s most looking forward to working with Rodriguez again — and to eating more of the director’s specialty: homemade margherita pizza with jalape

The Swell Season To Go On Hiatus

‘I’ll go back to the Frames, and [Marketa Irglova] will make her own record at some point,’ Glen Hansard says after concert tragedy. By Jocelyn Vena The Swell Season’s Marketa Irglova and Glen Hansard Photo: Jason Merritt/ FilmMagic After a fan leapt to his death at a Swell Season show in California last week, the duo has decided to go on hiatus. While the decision to part ways doesn’t seem related to the incident, the announcement comes mere days after it occurred at their show at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California. Glen Hansard, one half of the Oscar-winning band, tells Spinner.com that he and his bandmate, Marketa Irglova, plan to focus on separate projects, which include working with his former band for Hansard and solo music for Irglova. “I’ll go back to the Frames, and Mar will make her own record at some point,” Hansard said. “This band will eventually naturally end. But right now, all of us are just so grateful.” The Swell Season will continue to tour together through the fall. “Getting together and making music with Mar was a side thing for me, but it felt absolutely right,” Hansard said. “I followed through on it even when it felt like I might’ve been abandoning my band a bit. But I had to follow through. I knew there was something in this that I had to follow through on.” While Hansard will focus on the Frames, he is extremely excited about whatever solo music Irglova plans to pursue, raving about her new piano ballad, “Crossroads.” “It’s amazing,” Hansard explained. “I love the way she writes. I think she’s an incredible songwriter and I think she could make a really beautiful, beautiful record. I have no doubt, in fact. … She’s writing great songs. I’m very, very proud of her.” Related Artists The Swell Season

Concertgoer Leaps To Death At Swell Season Show

The band is ‘shocked and saddened’ by the tragedy. By Mawuse Ziegbe Marketa Irglova and Glen Hansard of The Swell Season (file) Photo: Jason Merritt/ FilmMagic A man reportedly committed suicide at a concert featuring the band The Swell Season last Thursday. According to The Associated Press, 32-year-old San Jose resident Michael Edward Pickels leapt to his death in front of an audience of hundreds at the band’s show at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California. Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Rick Sung said that Pickels jumped from a roof shielding the stage around 10 p.m. and fell onto the stage near Season frontman Glen Hansard. Hansard reportedly stopped playing and approached Pickels’ body. He was later pronounced dead after attempts to revive him failed. “The band, crew and all involved with them are shocked and saddened by the death that occurred at the August 19th show. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the deceased, his family and friends,” the group said a statement posted on their website. “Making and performing music is what the band has always done in good times and in bad. Our hope is that in this communal experience tonight we can somehow help our own grieving process after what we just witnessed. The show will most certainly be different than any other we have ever played.” The duo, who are known for winning an Oscar for Best Original Song in 2008, added that they plan to continue their current tour. According to their website, Season has shows scheduled for Saturday (August 21) and Sunday. “We wish to continue to be sensitive to family and friends of this individual and hope that in performing it is not viewed as a selfish act. We have not come to this decision lightly,” the band said. “We continue to have them at the forefront of our minds and hearts.” Related Artists The Swell Season

Megan Fox Talks Hollywood Marriages

‘[T]he couples that you see in the tabloids are being reported about even when there’s not even a problem,’ Fox tells Steppin’ Out magazine. By Jocelyn Vena Megan Fox Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images Megan Fox tied the knot last week with her longtime love, Brian Austin Green, in a very hush-hush ceremony in Hawaii. Never one to hold back on her opinions on various topics, such as her love of older men like Green and her tumultuous relationship with director Michael Bay, Fox is now speaking out about the often short shelf life of Hollywood marriages. She notes that it’s not just in Hollywood that she sees marriages dissolving. “I think couples generally aren’t staying together. The divorce rate is so high right now,” she tells next week’s Steppin’ Out magazine. “But I think [the reason it’s high in] Hollywood specifically is because of two things.” “Everything is so easily accessed in Hollywood. Whatever you want you have at your fingertips. So for a lot of people, that temptation is just too much,” she said. “You lose the ability to cherish something else because there are so many others out there just waiting for you.” The next problem, according to Fox? The amount of media coverage given to Hollywood’s high-profile relationships. “[T]he couples that you see in the tabloids are being reported about even when there’s not even a problem,” she said. “Being on cover after cover after cover, the relationship becomes even harder to maintain than it normally is — which isn’t easy to begin with. Your life being out there in the open is almost unbearable.” With all of that in mind, Fox says the way to make a Hollywood marriage work is “both people have to be incredibly strong people to make it through that. It’s sad, and I think the media is responsible for a lot of it. At least for planting the seed. Like I said earlier, actors are very insecure people to begin with.” Related Photos Lovebirds: Megan Fox And Brian Austin Green The Evolution Of: Megan Fox

‘Twilight’ Author Stephenie Meyer ‘Very Happy’ With ‘Eclipse’ Film

‘It’s so much fun to watch,’ she says of the third movie in the series. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Stephenie Meyer Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images When it comes to satisfying “Twilight” expectations, be it those of finicky film critics or easier-to-please Twilighters, no opinion carries more weight than the approval of the series creator herself. When MTV News spoke to celebrated author Stephenie Meyer, she said she is happy to just be the author who only has to come out for big premiere events once a year, versus the actors who are out doing promotion for weeks on end. Also, she is very pleased with the third adaptation of her best-selling series. “Oh, it’s really good,” she said of “Eclipse.” “It’s so much fun to watch. One of the ways I judge a good movie is I forget to be critical because I’m just having fun — and with this one, I definitely was having a good time watching it.” When asked about the decision to go back and re-shoot the infamous and highly anticipated “tent scene,” Meyer said the changes were minor, but necessary in order to fully capture the words and tone that made the scene so memorable in the book. According to Meyer, the result is “really satisfying.” “It was so simple — it was [just] a blocking issue,” Meyer explained of the decision to revisit the pivotal scene. “When Bella and Jacob crawl into the sleeping bag together, he didn’t put his arms around her, he was just kind of backed away from her — I wasn’t [on set] that day to say, ‘Hold it!’ [So] we went back and put that in. I’m very happy with that.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .
