Jinger Duggar in Pants: New Fashion Icon?

With each passing day, Duggar fans grow louder in demanding a Jinger Duggar pregnancy announcement . We don’t know when it will come. Some fans don’t know if it will come. In the mean time, Jinger still wears pants with her husband’s blessing, as you’ll see in two new photos below. This time, though, her fashion choices caused fans to ask some questions . And who better to talk women’s fashion than … Jeremy Vuolo? Jinger Duggar, as a family “rebel,” continues to be a little divisive among Duggar fans. Most conservative Christian families would be delighted at a woman who gets married right away to a conservative Christian man — without having premarital sex or any of the other, you know, things that most humans do. And sure, plenty of Duggar fans applaud Jinger for getting a husband who has a few theological differences with her father … (Of course, one of those differences is that Jeremy Vuolo thinks that the fundamentalist Duggars aren’t harsh enough against gay people, which … is a pretty extreme view) … and who allows her to wear pants. Other Duggar fans, however, continue to freak out whenever they see her wearing the devil’s leggings or whatever they think that pants are. Jeremy Vuolo shared this photo of Jinger — again wearing pants, and included the caption: “Standing outside Tenth Presbyterian Church where the late Dr. James Montgomery Boice pastored for 32 years. He was a remarkable gift to the church as a whole and is one of my and @jingervuolo’s favorite authors.” Boice was a conservative theologian noted for his devotion to the Christian concept of Biblical Inerrancy. Fans were less curious about dead religious thinkers and more about Jinger’s shoes. Fan comments were, though harmless compared to some of the hate that Duggars get on social media, definitely fashion-oriented. “Those shoes are giving me life! I need them in my life!” (Kind of weird to see phrasing by Duggar fans that you’d expect to hear on, like, RuPaul’s Drag Race ) “What kind of shoes does she have on?” It was Jeremy Vuolo who responded, lending his fashion expertise to identify the shoes as “Converse Chuck’s wedges.” (For those interested, the full name of the shoes is Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Lux Wedge Sneakers, which is a ridiculously long name for a line of sneakers) Odd to hear anyone looking to a Duggar daughter as a fashion icon or trendsetter though. Under this photo, Jeremy Vuolo used a quote for his caption: “‘A true wife is the husband’s better half, his flower of beauty, and his heart’s treasure. In her company he finds his earthly heaven; she is the light of his home, the comfort of his soul.’ ~ C.H. Spurgeon” Spurgeon was an 18th Century conservative theologian. He was a diehard Baptist who was also a noted abolitionist. Comments here were also less interested in religious doctrine or quotes about marriage, and instead commented on Jinger’s choice of clothing: “OMG they let her wear jeans.” (The “they” is literally just Jeremy Vuolo … we’ll get to that in a moment) “Omg Jinger you are STUNNING!” another fan wrote. “Those jeans look so nice on you!” That second compliment was a nice way of addressing the jeans-wearing without sounding ignorant. The first … well, if you keep up with the Duggar daughters on their adventures in adulthood, it can be frustrating to read comments from people who think that Jim Bob’s allowing this. Under the particular brand of Christian fundamentalism to which Jim Bob adheres, his daughters may not wear pants … until they are married off, at which point they are effectively the property of their husbands and their husbands can make those kinds of choices. Jeremy Vuolo has stated that he doesn’t believe that Jesus saves people to make them wear skirts, which sounds like sound theological reasoning to us. Chris Marek: Is He Using Amy Roloff for Fame and Fortune?

Amy Roloff is once again facing heat for… …. posing for photos with her long-time boyfriend? Sadly, yes. For this singular reason. As we’ve documented on The Hollywood Gossip for several weeks, fans of Little People, Big World can’t seem to fully accept Amy’s romance with Chris Marek. The two have been together for nearly all of 2017 and Marek has given social media users no reason to doubt his intentions when it comes to Roloff. But this doesn’t mean they haven’t gone in search of some on their own. Just over a month ago, for instance, Roloff shared what appears to be a simple, basic, harmless, cute picture of herself and Marek. Yet a few followers didn’t take it that way. “Big mistake, believe me, Amy can do better [than] him, he’s just in it for the game [and] getting his face out there,” wrote one critic as an example. What prompted this line of thinking? We truly have no idea. But it forced Amy to come out and defend Marek, as she even took a shot at her own reality show in the process: “Try not to make quick assumptions about anyone from what you see on an edited show.” Then, just a few days ago, Roloff again posted some sweet pictures of herself and Marek, only to be told by some troll that she should “dump” Chris and ” find someone new .” We remain confounded by all this disdain – but also almost impressed by the lengths users will go to in order to try and prove their misguided points. Take the very first photo above, for example. This is what Amy wrote as a caption to it: What a great week bf Christmas week with getting together w/ good friends! This time of year reminds me What is beautiful about life – the gift God gave to us in Jesus, moments w/ friends, people you love, family, gathering around the table sharing , making moments to remember. Have a good week ahead everyone. And, amazingly/hilariously, this is what someone wrote in response in the Comments section of Instagram: “Amy, Chris nearly blocked your head out! “Your[sic] in love… but doubt he is! More in love with himself and the show. Please Amy watch for the red flags! Don’t want to see you get hurt!” Yes, this person is accusing Marek of purposely using his head to block Roloff’s face in the aforementioned image. This person is then insinuating that this is a sign Marek is only dating Amy because she’s rich and famous. The argument is obviously preposterous simply on its own. But let’s break it down a bit, shall we? First, Amy isn’t all that rich and famous. We don’t mean that as any kind of insult; it’s simply a fact. We’re sure she’s doing perfectly well for herself, but we can’t imagine she’s banking anything deep into seven figures per year or anything. Second, Marek is a very successful real estate agent and has been for years. He has no need to dig for any gold. But try telling this to abusers of the World Wide Web. “What a delusional person she is,” one hater actually wrote about Amy, adding: “Left the old short man for a tall homeless unemployed tall ugly man… split after she took all of his money and property.” SIGH . For the record, not that this even needs to be said: Amy did not take all of Matt Roloff’s money; and Chris has a home and is employed. But thanks for playing, loser Internet person. Kourtney Kardashian to Jennifer Lawrence: Stay Away From Scott Disick!

If you’ve enjoyed her many bonkers interviews over the years (some of which, to our minds, are every bit as entertaining as her funniest film roles), then you’re likely aware that Jennifer Lawrence loves alcohol and reality television. So it’s not surprising that J-Law might have a bit of a thing for Kourtney Kardashian sperm donor and bold innovator in the use of facial hair to camouflage booze bloat, Scott Disick. On second thought, it is surprising, but only in the sense that we’re shocked Scott is still alive. Anyway, Jen revealed her love for the Lord in a recent interview with Oprah, in which she revealed that Scott would be one of her three ideal dinner guests. (The other two were Luann DeLesseps and Bethenny Frankel, both of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise. Jen … we’re concerned.) Given that Jen chose Scott over any of the women in the Kardashian clan, it’s not surprising that certain tabloids already have these two bedding down together. It’s also not surprising that some of these same publications are casting Kourtney in the role of the insane ex: According to the Australian version of OK! magazine (because why wouldn’t news about three American celebs reach Sydney first?), Kourtney is pissed about the possibility of Jen and Scott hooking up. In fact, Kourt has reportedly warned Lawrence to keep her mitts off her boozy baby daddy. The subtly-titled piece “Kourtney Warns J. Law: Stay Away From Scott!” doesn’t offer anything in the way of quotes or evidence, and instead poses an argument along the lines of “makes sense if ya think about it.” The article also doesn’t mention the fact that Kourtney is dating Younes Bendjima . Or that Scott is with Sofia Richie . Or that Jen was clearly joking, and her ideal dinner party would really just consist of Meryl Streep playing three different roles. Look, we believe Jen when she says she genuinely enjoys Keeping Up With the Kardashians (though it’s worth noting that she’s said she watches the show “to fall asleep.” Celebrities–they’re as bored with the Kardashians as the rest of us!). But there’s a difference between enjoying a reality show and wanting to enmesh yourself in that world. We like watching Naked and Afraid , but the thought of a single genital mosquito is enough to keep us inside for the bulk of 2018. Hey, if the mere mention of Scott Disick doesn’t bring to mind a bloodsucker who will spread disease to your nether regions, then you’re not sufficiently wary of the Lord. Earlier this week, the world learned that Kendra Caldwell is pregnant with Joseph Duggar’s baby. As is always the case with Duggar baby news, the announcement was greeted with enthusiasm from the family’s devoted fan base–but it also reminded many of a mystery that continues to grow with the passage of time: It’s been over a year since Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo got married , and yet the couple remains childless. As the pregnancies of Kendra Caldwell and Joy-Anna Duggar have recently reminded us, this is highly unusual in Jinger’s family. (Kendra and Joy both announced that they’re expecting within a few months of tying the knot. Some believe that Joy didn’t even wait until she was married .) Thus far, all of Jinger’s sisters have gotten pregnant within a year of getting married, and some have even given birth prior to their one-year anniversary. So it’s not hard to see why fans are growing increasingly curious about Jinger and Jeremy’s apparent reluctance to start a family. Some have even gone so far as to suggest that Jinger is on birth control . Like wearing pants as a woman or marrying a man whose religious beliefs don’t perfectly coincide with your father’s, using birth control is no big deal throughout most of the civilized world, but these are the Duggars we’re talking about. They’re civilized in the sense that they sleep indoors and use silverware, but they’d be the first to tell you that their belief system bears little in common with the average American’s code of conduct. Birth control is strictly forbidden in the Duggars’ world, and Jim Bob and Michelle have even recorded videos in which they preach about its evils. Jinger may rebel against her parents’ teachings in small, mostly inconsequential ways (see the aforementioned wearing of pants), but finding out that she’s using birth control would likely push Jim Bob and Michelle over the edge. Fortunately, for the most part, Duggar fans have proven to be uncharacteristically level-headed with regard to this issue. Recently, the Duggars posted a photo of Jeremy and Jinger on their Facebook page, and the comments section quickly devolved into the usual flurry of uterine speculation. But for every “fan” throwing shade, there were three getting Jinger’s back: “Jinger raised kids all her life, she might not want kids or she just wants to wait,” one commenter wrote. “Maybe they’re not waiting, maybe she’s having trouble conceiving. Give the poor girl a break, when she’s pregnant they’ll announce it,” remarked another. “I think these two are being smart and will choose to have children on their own timetable,” a third wrote. Jinger Duggar Rocking Pants, Hiding Baby Bump on Instagram?!

Ever since Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo , fans have been eagerly awaiting an announcement that the newlyweds are expecting their first child. More than a year later, however, there’s still no official word on the matter. Of course, that hasn’t stopped fans from combing through the couple’s social media posts in search of clues. The Vuolos latest pics show them enjoying the unexpected snowfall in Laredo, Texas over the weekend. While the focus of the photos is meant to be the weather, fans have mostly zeroed in on two other details: For one thing, Jinger is wearing pants , thus still defying the strict dress code under which she was raised. Even more than her legwear, however, followers are obsessed with what they believe is the first official glimpse of Jinger’s baby bump . Granted, this isn’t the first time that Duggar fans have claimed to have spotted a sure sign that Jinger is expecting, but a video posted by Jeremy offers the most compelling evidence yet: Jinger Duggar: Baby Bump Revealed? Jeremy captioned the clip, “The weather outside is frightful.” But again, it’s not the weather that’s caught fans’ attention. As you can see, Jinger seems to be moving … well, gingerly. She also appears to be protecting her midsection, and at one point she rubs her belly. Sure, she’s not wearing a t-shirt that says, “Baby on Board,” but at this point, fans will take whatever “evidence” they can find. Even the fact that Jinger is wearing sweatpants is being cited as proof that she’s expecting. Jinger has been wearing pants and even shorts for several months now, but they’re usually more stylish and form-fitting than the sweatpants she sported this week. The style decision may simply be a response to the weather, but don’t tell that to the hundreds of fans who are basically taking these posts as a pregnancy announcement. At this point, if and when Jinger does reveal that she’s got a bun in the oven, the reveal will almost feel anti-climactic. Almost. Even before Jinger distingushed herself by wearing pants  (gasp!) and marrying a man her father didn't approve of, she had already gained a reputation as the Duggar family's resident rebel. Kailyn Lowry Slams Jenelle Evans’ Threat to Quit: Yeah, Right!

Teen Mom 2  might be about to lose one of its most controversial stars, as  Jenelle Evans has threatened to quit . The Carolina Hurricane claims that MTV is making her and her husband look bad. Who better to weigh in on that than one of Jenelle's costars? In the video below, you'll see Kailyn Lowry share  exactly  what she thinks of that. And she gets in a nice burn about Jenelle in the process. The Jenelle Evans rant that prompted all of this was Jenelle going on Instagram to threaten to quit  Teen Mom 2 . “Yes, me and David have our ups and downs but yesterday’s episode was uncalled for.” We know that this will  shock  you, folks, but Jenelle's about to get super defensive about David Eason. “Because David didn’t feel like explaining another argument or drama on camera they make it look as if David is hiding some weird ass s–t from the public as if he was hurting me in some way?!” She needs to be aware that MTV can only edit so much — that fans are concerned about David Eason for a whole host of reasons? “I have decided after this season I’m probably calling it quits for filming this show.” That's quite a threat. “I told Morgan it’s getting to out of hand and it’s not healthy for us anymore, just harming us mentally.” Oh, is  that  what's wrong? All jokes aside, Jenelle Evans had issues before MTV ever came into her life. “They treat all of us as if we are in a freak show and in cages.” Right … it's a reality show. Except that she's not in a cage and is, in fact, getting paid. Pretty generously, as we understand it. “WE aren’t human beings to @mtv what-so-ever. The first screenshot of the custody episode someone posted photoshopping a hand mark on my arm. The other screenshots are pictures I’ve taken myself from the same episode… and there aren’t any hand marks.” Jenelle really didn't make it clear whether she was accusing MTV of that or just a random fan. But then Jenelle makes it sound like she's serious about threatening to leave … and describes the way that MTV can win her back. “Once they treat me with respect I’ll be back, if they don’t I’ll be happy with the life I’ve got. I told them this last night.” It sure sounds like Jenelle is just trying to get them to sanitize her life, right? Because even though reality shows are told through the lens of editing, you can only take things out or maybe take a few things out of context. (Taking too many things out of context would make the story incoherent) Try as they might, we don't see MTV's editors being able to add things in to  Teen Mom 2 . Considering that  David Eason makes Jenelle's own mother worried  for Jenelle and for Jenelle's children, it looks like there's more than editing behind the way that fans are viewing their relationship. But … either Jenelle doesn't see it, or she just doesn't  want  to see it. I the video below, Kailyn is asked about Jenelle's threat to quit. Kailyn starts her answer as diplomatically as she can. “I think we all feel differently.” Sure.  But  … “I have to disagree with her statement about MTV.” We'd imagine so. “As far as I can see it, you wouldn't have stuck with the show for 8 years if that were the case.” That's a very good point. Maybe Jenelle's just huffing and puffing because she wants to defend David Eason's honor, or whatever. “I'll leave that there.” She almost did. But remember that burn that we mentioned? When asked if she thinks that Jenelle should stay or go, Kailyn replied with this: “I don't care what Jenelle does.” Ouch. We do have to point out that there's one thing that's different now than it was for most of Jenelle's time on  Teen Mom 2 : David Eason. If he's really as controlling as they say, maybe he's the one who's encouraging Jenelle to quit Teen Mom 2. It's hard to see why he, or anyone, would want to close up the cash flow of  that sweet  Teen Mom  money . But maybe he wants the cameras off. That's a chilling thought. What's worse is that Jenelle might give him what he wants.
