Noah Brown Confirms Engagement to Rhain Alisha!

Move over, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas . You aren’t the only famous couple that got engaged over the weekend. Okay, maybe you are. But this doesn’t change the fact that Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown has confirmed he’s set to marry Rhain Alisha. He alerted fans to this news via a touching Facebook post that reads as follows: Rhain Alisha has been so patient and supporting through everything that has been happening, my mothers cancer, having to leave Alaska, my car keeps breaking down, and all in all I have been thinking of how thankful I am that she moved in with we instead of going back to Oregon and now we are engaged and planing our life together. Rhain Alisha is everything I could have ever wanted. She is my Soulmate my Angel my DreamGirl. She makes me the best Version of myself, I know that as long as she loves me that some day I can be the man that Rhain deserves. Thank you God for giving me Rhain Alisha Merrill. Brown included with these kinds words the picture of Rhain (birth name: Ruth) below: Brown is a cast member on Alaskan Bush People, but he’s been criticized of late by his fans for essentially abandoning his family during their greatest time of need . Some supporters have taken issue with Brown because he’s been sharing social media images of himself and Rhain taking trips to the zoo and other places… … all while his mother, Ami, is dying of lung cancer. Is this a fair critique? We’re really not in a position to say. It’s true that Noah has not said much publicly about his mother’s illness, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he isn’t heartbroken over it. (It’s also true, incredibly, that Noah has a sister named Rain and is now engaged to someone named Rhain. What are the odds?!?) As far as we know, Ami Brown is now out of the hospital. This is positive news, of course. But most outlets still say the family matriarch is pretty much on her death bed . She has stage four lung cancer and it isn’t operable. There isn’t much doctors can do at this point. We continue to send our thoughts and prayers to the Browns, while also wishing Noah the best on his engagement. Jinger Duggar: Using Birth Control Against Family’s Wishes?

Back in November of 2016, Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo  in one of the lavish, massively attended ceremonies her family has become known for. From the first kiss shared in front of 1,500 guests to the TLC camera crew capturing every moment, the entire wedding was in keeping with Duggar tradition. Everything that’s come after the “I do’s,” however, has broken the mold. Shortly after the wedding, Jinger and Jeremy moved to Laredo, Texas , thus making her the first of the Duggar girls to permanently relocate outside of Arkansas. In a well-publicized display of sartorial rebellion, Jinger also began wearing pants , thus becoming the first of her generation to flout her parents’ famously strict dress code. But the most salient act of defiance on Jinger’s part is her decision to live a life that flies in the face of the central tenet of the Duggars’ ideology. If you follow the family closely, you know that the Duggars teach their children from a young age that a woman’s primary purpose in life is to have as many children as possible. As a result of that lifelong indoctrination, most Duggar women announce their first pregnancies within a few months of tying the knot. Recently, a new record was set when 19-year-old Joy-Anna Duggar revealed that she got pregnant on her honeymoon within days of marrying Austin Forsyth. So it comes as quite a surprise to fans that almost one full year after getting married, Jinger is still not expecting. Countless Jinger pregnancy rumors have circulated online, but thus far, they’ve all proven bogus. But, of course, that hasn’t been enough to bring an end to the constant scrutiny surrounding Jinger’s uterus. Fan theories abound as to why Jinger and Jeremy have yet to procreate, and now, according to In Touch , many Duggar aficionados are speculating that Jinger might be using birth control . Obviously, in most situations, a young, newly-married woman using birth control wouldn’t be considered remotely unusual. But Jinger is a Duggar, and her parents have made their feelings about contraception clear on numerous occasions. The most memorable, perhaps, is the now-deleted anti-birth control screed that Michelle and Jim Bob’s published on their personal website. Jinger’s parents explained: “As conservative Christians, we believe every life is sacred, even the life of the unborn. Due to our lack of knowledge, we destroyed the precious life of our unborn child.” “We prayed and studied the Bible and found a host of references that told us God considered children a gift, a blessing, and a reward.” “Yet we had considered having another child an inconvenience during that busy time in our lives, and we had taken steps to prevent it from happening.” Obviously, Jinger Duggar’s parents would consider it a personal affront if were revealed that the daughter has been using birth control. That doesn’t mean she is, however. Naturally, there are several reasons why Jinger and Jeremy may be holding off on having children, and not all of them are scandalous. It’s unusual, however, that she hasn’t gotten pregnant yet – that’s simply a fact, based on the track record of all of her married siblings. Jinger Duggar & Jeremy Vuolo: Moving to SCOTLAND?!

Shortly after she married Jeremy Vuolo in November of 2016, Jinger Duggar became the first of her father’s daughters to permanently relocate from her native Arkansas. Jinger and Jeremy moved to Laredo, Texas after their wedding, and it’s been said that Jim Bob Duggar was less than thrilled by that development. So we’re guessing he’s really not too happy about what the couple may have in store next. Last week, Jeremy got fans buzzing with a tweet about a potential career change. Linking to a post about a job opening at an organization called Banner of Truth, Vuolo tweeted the following:  “Ahhhhh!!! I told you this was my dream job.” The ecstatic tone led fans to believe that Vuolo had already accepted the position. That would be an interesting development, as it would require him to move to Edinburgh, Scotland. Banner of Truth’s Twitter page describes it as “a Christian organisation which publishes books, organises conferences, and publishes a monthly magazine. You are what you read.” Currently, Vuolo works as a preacher , and he’s been vocal about his passion for theological research, so it’s not hard to see why the position of editorial assistant at a Christian publishing company would appeal to him. According to the Banner of Truth website, the job would have Vuolo directly involved in the publication of faith-based books and periodicals: “The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the editorial work, from early manuscript development, to detailed editing, proofing, and page design,” the description reads. It’s still unclear if Vuolo has accepted or even applied for the job, but fans are speculating that such a move would outrage Jim Bob for a number of reasons. For starters, if Jim Bob was displeased when Jeremy and Jinger relocated to Texas, we’re guessing he’d really be angry if they up and moved across the pond. On top of that, Jim Bob and Jeremy differ in their religious beliefs to the extent that Jim Bob was reportedly hesitant about giving his daughter permission to marry Vuolo. It seems the primary point of contention is the fact that Jeremy is a Calvinist , a belief system that flies in the face of much that Jim Bob holds dear. Though the movement began in France, Scotland is considered to the epicenter of modern Calvinism, a designation that Jim Bob is no doubt very much aware of. A move to Scotland would send a strong message to Jim Bob from both Jeremy and Jinger, who’s been openly rebelling against some of the draconian strictures of her childhood ever since she became a Vuolo. It’s impossible to predict how Jim Bob would respond, but it will certainly be interesting to see how all of this plays out. Justin Bieber: I’m NEVER Going Back to Jail!

Remember Justin Bieber’s DUI arrest in Miami from a while back? Justin sure wants you to remember. He’s shared a throwback photo of his own mugshot, and his captions are fine on the surface, but might indicate an internal struggle. His mugshot also reminds us that, for all his faults, Justin takes really good mugshots. Over the years, Justin Bieber’s bad behavior hasn’t been a secret … at all. Like, we’re sure that there’s stuff that we haven’t heard about. But there’s also stuff like Justin egging his neighbors house . And, of course, the drunk driving (and drag racing!) in Florida that led to his arrest. Honestly, some of his antics came across like the stereotypical “bad kid” from any and every generic animated drama from the last two decades. But Justin’s shared this throwback photo of his own mugshot, and it’s apparently not to brag about how good he looked in it. (Though, let’s be honest, he looked great) He captioned the photo: “#jailisnotacoolplacetobe #notfun #neveragain” For those of you who don’t enjoy reading hashtags, that was: “Jail is not a cool place to be. Not fun. Never again.” For some reason, this feels like less of an after school special for his fans than a public statement about his own intentions. Like, a pledge to himself that he’s not going to repeat past mistakes. It makes us wonder if he’s been struggling with sobriety more than he’s let on. Justin’s mostly different now. These days, he’s more about his faith (like his parents, he’s a Christian, and pretty die-hard about it) and less about substance abuse. He might be leaning on his faith to stay sober, which can be tricky in the same way that staying sober for another person can be tricky, but that’s his business unless he starts doing crimes again. One of his many, many tattoos reads “Better at 70,” which seems to be a motto about becoming a better person throughout his life instead of just coasting along. Presumably, it also applies to his desire to remain in good legal standing. He put up a stencil of the tattoo on Instagram for fans to see if they wanted to also get the tattoo It’s not a great tattoo or even a great catchphrase, but you know that he still has some fans who are intense enough to get it. We don’t think that he’s necessarily conscious of the effect that his throwback photos can have. To him, they show only the consequences of his past bad behavior. To us, they’re a reminder that he’s recently seemed to just give up completely on having nice hair. Like, he’s had a few genuinely good hairstyles, including in that mugshot, and now he keep his head buzzed? There’s no personality there. Also his throwbacks remind us that his skin used to be more visible. It’s not that he doesn’t have the right to tattoo himself to his heart’s content, because he can decorate his meat prison however he likes. But … his tattoo choices tend to not be great. And we’re allowed to grimace at the photos. We’re also allowed to grimace at his captions about jail. Because some people might have been looking at an actual sentence for drag racing and a DUI. But Justin’s deal, if you’ll recall, involved him paying $50,000 (as a donation to a youth charity). In other words … he got out of prison time because he’s rich. Meanwhile, there are innocent people who can’t afford bail for crimes that they didn’t commit, so they spend months behind bars and eventually cop plea deals that admit guilt just so that they can see their families again. So, you know, maybe Justin shouldn’t be complaining about how little fun he had in jail. It can get so much worse than what little he experienced. Jeremy Vuolo SLAMMED for Calling Catholicism a Demonic, Pagan Religion!

A lot of people love the Duggars because of how strongly they value their religion, and how deeply they believe in it. But a lot of other people wish they would cool their jets about certain issues. For example, as we’ve seen in recent months, it’s always a big issue when one of the Duggar women dares to wear something other than a long, plain skirt. From what we’ve heard, Jinger wearing pants is about to damn near tear the family apart. There’s also the thing about having baby after baby after baby, regardless of the health of the woman popping out all those kids. Because the Lord isn’t down with contraception. And then there’s the unwavering forgiveness for Josh Duggar , who molested four of his sisters … The point is that the Duggars have many extreme views, and that they make a lot of people uncomfortable. And a sermon delivered by Jeremy Vuolo, Jinger’s brand new husband , is following in that same tradition. See, Jeremy as a pastor at a church in Laredo, Texas. And apparently a lot of Catholics live in Laredo. For him, that is not OK. In a recent sermon he preached at the church, he decided to offer up his stance on Catholicism, which he referred to as “demonic.” Yeah, he doesn’t seem to be too fond of the whole thing. “I just want to say this, kind of as an aside for us here in Laredo,” he said. “There are spiritual strongholds in our world today, aren’t there?” “Just as Paul and Silas encountered the demonic in Phillippi, so we encounter that here in Laredo. In this city we have the pagan religion of Catholicism gripping the souls of the majority.” Catholicism is a pagan religion? We thought it was a Christian religion, but OK, Jeremy. It really seems like he doesn’t see Catholicism as a different denomination of Christianity, but as a different religion altogether — he suggested this in another part of his sermon. “When the question comes, ‘What must I do to be saved?’, Catholicism tells you to clean up your life and adequately perform the sacramental duties,” he said.” For Islam, he said “the only way for you to be certain of paradise is if you die in jihad,” and “for those who claim to be Jews but are not” (???), the key is to follow the Torah and “just do your best.” However, “the message of the Christian is that of grace” — just not if you’re a Catholic Christian, it seems. His views fit in with the rest of the Duggars pretty well: remember, Jill and Derick Dillard are missionaries in El Salvador , which is 85% Christian, just with a Catholic majority. But still, Jeremy is getting a whole, whole lot of hate for the statements he made in his sermon. “What is with the pagan religion of Catholicism?” one person asked on Twitter. “Do we believe a reality show whore, or a 2k year church founded by an apostle?” “You should be ashamed for disrespect you show for Catholics,” another wrote. “Pagan? Please you and your church are spewing this hate. God is Judge, not you.” One person pointed out that “Referring to Catholicsm as ‘pagan’ not only insults Catholics, but Pagans. Study both before making such off-base comments.” A particularly upset Twitter user wrote “AS A PROUD CATHOLIC I AM DISTURBED BY THIS. BE ASHAMED! NOT CHRISTIAN OF YOU AT ALL! BLASPHEMY!” Even though Jeremy is getting this much criticism, we highly doubt he’ll change his opinion or consider these other points of view. That’s just not the Duggar way. Jinger Duggar: Hiding Baby Bump in Latest Photo?!

Back in November,  Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo . And naturally, the pregnancy rumors started flying almost immediately. After all, Jinger is a Duggar, which means she’s been raised to believe that women have been placed on this planet for the sole reason of serving as breeding vessels. So it’s somewhat surprising that nearly seven months after she and Jeremy exchanged vows, there’s still been no official confirmation that Jinger is knocked up . Of course, there’s been plenty of speculation about Jinger hiding her pregnancy in her latest social media photos. And why would a woman who’s been open about her plans to raise a brood of comparable size to the one she grew up in? Because the Duggars have a new season of Counting On to promote, of course! Weddings and pregnancy announcements are the Duggars’ bread and butter, and Instagram posts don’t always result in ratings bumps. In order to fully cash in, the revelation needs to be made on TV, which might be why we get photos like this: Jeremy posted that photo yesterday, along with a caption reading: “Jinger and I couldn’t be more grateful for our dear friend Pastor Michael Mahoney of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA and his amazing family. We love you guys!” Yes, Jinger and Jeremy are indoors in Califorina in June, and yet Jinger is going with the full Inspector Gadget-style trench coat. Look, all of us who have been slacking on working on our summer bodies would love to rock four or five layers this time of year and not be questioned about it. But when you’re a public figure who’s very likely knocked up, getting questioned about your attire is unavoidable. We’re not saying with any certainty that Jinger is knocked up, but we can certainly see why other people might be saying that. “Only the top [button] is buttoned. It’s a bun in the oven!” one fan commented on the photo. “It’s very possible that Jinger could be expecting,” another stated bluntly. The Duggars do a lot of things well, breeding chief among them.  But as we’ve learned in the past, keeping secrets is not their strong suit. Simone Biles to Dancing with the Stars Judges: Don’t Tell Me to Smile!

It’s official: Simone Biles isn’t just a world champion gymnast. She’s also a world champion comeback generator. On Dancing with the Stars last night , Biles advanced to this season’s semifinals on the heels of a solid Foxtrot and a strong Paso doble. But the former Olympian didn’t totally win over the judges with these routines, as Carrie Ann Inaba took Biles to task less for her dancing skills and more for her lack of emotion. “Your skills are unquestionable,” Inaba said, prior to getting into the crux of her critique: “You hit every line with precision and perfection. But once again, I’m going to come back to performance and authenticity about who you are when you perform… “You have this beautiful smile and you are a megastar with your energy, but once in a while, there’s beauty without a smile. “There’s beauty in pain and all of the other emotions, and I’d like to see more of that.”  Julianne Hough agreed with her fellow panelist. “I don’t know if the smile is authentic because you want to smile, or if it’s just because you rehearsed it that way,” she told Biles. “I really just want to see some rawness come out.” This is, of course, completely ridiculous. And also a bit sexist. Can you imagine any judge telling a male contestant to smile more naturally? Fortunately, Biles had the perfect response to this odd and unfair criticism. “I’ve lived in a gym 14 years of my life, so it’s hard to show something I’ve never felt before,” she said at first, offering up a valid excuse for why she isn’t a natural on the dance floor. But after remaining stoic upon hearing positive reviews after her second performance, and then being asked by Tom Bergeron why she still wasn’t smiling, Biles responded: Smiling doesn’t win you gold medals. BAM! And Biles would know. This amazing comeback earned the athlete quite a bit of praise and admiration across social media. And then there was this: Following the episode, Biles and her partner Sasha Farber spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the struggle she’s had to connect with the judges this season. “I feel like everyone has their own opinion, clearly, and I feel it’s just how you take it,” Biles said, adding: “I feel like I am trying, I am being honest, but if they don’t see that, I don’t know what more I can do.” An intense competitor, Biles is accustomed to simply getting the job done; not concerning herself with what sort of emotions are displayed on her face. “You don’t know which wild card of sexy or of happy they want to bring, and you almost have to read their minds and find it,” she told ET last night, concluding that she nearly broke down on live television. “I had tears in my eyes. I almost ran to the bathroom at one point, but I pulled it together.” You go, Simone Biles! If we have it our way, this impressive young woman will win the entire thing this season… … and then accept the Mirrorball Trophy without even the faintest hint of a smile.

Jinger Duggar: Baby Registry, Due Date Revealed?!

For weeks now, we’ve been hearing rumors that Jinger Duggar is pregnant with her first child . Part of the reason for the speculation is that Jinger has been married to Jeremy Vuolo  for six full months, which means that by Duggar standards, the couple is well overdue for a pregnancy announcement. But on top of that, Jinger has allegedly been a little sloppy in terms of hiding her forthcoming bundle of joy from fans. For starters, several recent Instagram photos seem to show Jinger sporting a baby bump . Adding fuel to the rumor fire is the fact that  Jinger recently hinted at a big announcement , which many fans believe will be a confirmation that she’s expecting. The Duggars are usually cagey with this sort of news, as they like to use major life events such as courtships, weddings, and pregnancies to draw viewers to their TLC reality show. Since Counting On Season 4 is just around the corner, it makes sense that Jinger and Jeremy would hold off in order to use the increased interest in their lives to promote the show’s June 12 return. Unfortunately for the young couple, keeping secrets in 2017 is no easy feat, and it seems they may have kept the news to themselves just a bit too long: According to several media outlets, a baby shower registry created by the Vuolos and posted to the site Buy Buy Baby was discovered by fans on Monday. The registry was either a hoax or there’s another Jinger Vuolo out there somewhere. But since it was promptly deleted and there’s been no mention of it by the Duggars, we’re guessing it was the real deal. In addition to the fact that Jinger is expecting, the registry revealed that her due date is December 16, and she’s expecting a baby girl! No word on what sort of items the Vuolos requested, but now that the cat’s out of the bag, it’s a safe bet that they’ll be making their “big announcement” sooner than expected. And of course, Jinger’s pregnancy will likely play a huge role in the highly anticipated fourth season of her family’s popular reality series. Jinger Duggar Shares Throwback Photo of Jessa, Internet Melts

Shortly after she married Jeremy Vuolo , Jinger Duggar relocated with her new husband to Laredo, Texas. Jinger’s the first of the Duggar girls to leave Arkansas, and she’s openly discussed the difficulties of living so far away from her massive family. Fortunately, once they’re married, Duggar women are allowed to use social media , so Jinger is now able to connect with her beloved sisters through technology like the Millennial like that she is: On Friday, Jinger posted the above throwback photo of herself with older sister Jessa Duggar, and predictably, fans couldn’t get enough of it. She tagged the photo simply, “Best friends forever!” Obviously, all of the Duggar siblings are close with one another, but in a family that size, it’s only natural that certain pairs would enjoy special bonds, and it seems Jinger and Jessa have been besties since way back. These days, of course, Jinger’s Instagram page is under a microscope due to rumors that she’s pregnant with Jeremy Vuolo’s baby . Fans have been on the hunt for a Jinger Duggar baby bump pretty much from the time she got married, and many believe it’s plain to see from her recent pics that the 23-year-old is expecting. Even an innocent throwback like her most recent post is enough to prompt speculation. Some fans believe it’s Jinger’s way of remaining active on social media while not posting any recent photos of herself. Others believe Jinger is feeling sentimental and longing for home now that she’s soon to be starting a family of her own. But most are able to appreciate the pic for what it is – a simple expression of sisterly love. “Is that Jinger?!?! Jessa, you haven’t changed a bit!! Y’all are so adorable!” wrote one fan. “You guys look absolutely adorable,” commented another. Yes, “adorable” was the word of the day on Jinger’s Instagram. She may be new to social media, but the girl knows how to give her fans what they want. Jinger Duggar: I’m Wearing Pants & I Don’t Care What Jim Bob Thinks!

Brace yourselves, Duggar nation:  Jinger Duggar is wearing pants again. That might not seem like a big deal (and it’s certainly not as newsworthy as that time Jinger wore shorts ), but in a way, the 23-year-old is rebelling against her upbringing by donning her Dockers. You see, women in the Duggar family are forbidden from engaging in a number of activities: Sex before marriage, individual thought, and clothing with more than one leg-hole are all off-limits to the Duggar gals – for reasons that aren’t entirely clear. But if there’s one thing the Duggars value above the subjugation of women, it’s the supremacy of men. They’ve instituted a strictly-enforced line of succession so that women are never confused about who they’re supposed to answer to: When a Duggar woman gets married, her husband replaces her father as the master of her mind and body, and it seems Jinger’s dude, Jeremy Vuolo takes a less draconian view toward jeans: Jinger has worn jeans on social media before, but the above photo represents the first time that she’s appeared on one of Jeremy’s social media pages rocking the Devil’s Leggings. It seems to be the couple’s way of confirming what had previously been rumored: Jinger is allowed to wear pants because Jeremy says it’s okay. Given that Vuolo and Jim Bob Duggar clashed several times during Jinger and Jeremy’s courtship, the photo could also be interpreted as a massive middle finger to the Duggar patriarch. Granted, it would be the most tame, passive-aggressive middle finger in the history of middle fingers, but these dare the Duggars we’re talking about. We’re surprised they don’t lop off their middle fingers at birth just to make sure they’re never tempted to direct their sinful wrath at a particularly inept umpire. Anyway, whether Jim Bob likes it or not, it looks like Jinger has every intention of continuing to wear pants. As rebellions go, we suppose he got off pretty easy. But it could be a slippery slope from here. Hell, Jinger’s younger siblings might one day be inspired by her example and wind up drinking a beer or voting for a Democrat.
