In another interview, ‘Jersey Shore’ starlet addresses President Obama and New Jersey Governor Chuck Christie. By Mawuse Ziegbe Snooki Photo: Jerritt Clark/ Getty Images “Jersey Shore” party girl Snooki responded to her recent arrest by declaring that she’s “too pretty” to be thrown in jail . And it appears that at least one politician has her back. In an interview with Phoenix radio station KMLE Country 108 , Senator John McCain agreed with Snooki’s claims that she’s too much of a looker to be thrown in the slammer. On Wednesday (August 11), the onetime presidential hopeful posed a question to KMLE listeners: “Is Snooki too good-looking to go to jail or not?” McCain inquired. “She … has given a whole new meaning to our justice system, you gotta admit. I’m kinda leaning towards Snooki being too good-looking.” The politician said he’s been looking out for the reality starlet, named Nicole Polizzi, ever since they bonded during a Twitter exchange blasting President Obama’s taxes on tanning . “Now, I’ve been worried about what’s going on with her, of course, since I have this attachment,” McCain said. Although she has the senator’s attention, Snooki’s club-hopping antics haven’t hit the radar of the commander in chief. During a July visit to the ladies of ABC’s “The View,” Obama conceded that while he knows about Justin Bieber , he has no idea who Snooki is. The starlet recently said she doesn’t believe the president isn’t getting his weekly “Jersey Shore” fix. “I know he knows who I am,” Snooki told E! Online . “Why did he have to lie and say he didn’t know me? He did [mention] Snooki and JWoww about the tanning stuff, and now he doesn’t know who I am? He has to stop lying.” Although there’s no word on whether an Obama/Snooki beer summit will hit the president’s calendar anytime soon, Snooks has a message for a politician who’s definitely aware of the GTL-ing crew. In response to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s claims that the “Shore” collective puts the Garden State in a bad light, Snooki advised the governor to just relax. “He needs to come over and have a hot dog and a Corona and just chill,” she said. Similarly, fans of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” know about mantras: The cast made a ritual out of gym, tan, laundry, and followers quickly adopted GTL. So when MTV News hit the red carpet on Tuesday for the New York City premiere of “Eat Pray Love” , we just had to ask, when it comes to words to live by, is it “eat, pray, love” or “gym, tan, laundry”? A somewhat clueless Julia Roberts was stumped. “What’s gym, tan, laundry? Oh, I’ve heard of ‘Jersey Shore,’ ” the star said to MTV News. And it seems she wasn’t the only one of the “Eat” stars who had no idea what we were talking about. “I don’t know that one. I thought you were going to say, ‘Suck it,’ and I was [going to be] like, ‘That’s not three words, to begin with, and that’s not a mantra,’ ” Billy Crudup explained. “Is that MTV?” the actor asked. “Oh, I know ‘Warren the Ape.’ That’s MTV. I’ve been on it.” So, does Javier Bardem start his day with GTL? “No. Gym, tan, laundry … no. No, no! I don’t even know what that means!” the Oscar-winner laughed. “I will look for it in the dictionary.” And fans of the “Jersey Shore” can add star Richard Jenkins to the list of people who have no idea what the heck gym, tan, laundry is. “No, I don’t. I don’t,” he confessed. “I watch ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’ ” “Glee” star Mike O’Malley, however, was more familiar with all things “Jersey Shore.” “Well, I know all about these kids. I know about JWoww, Snooki. I’m trying to get abs like the Situation,” he joked. “I’m all about the tanning and the laundry,” “Eat” director and “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy said. “I’m too old to be tanning. ‘I’m gonna get superstar records on there,’ he tells Mixtape Daily of tape due same day as August 27 flick. By Shaheem Reid Idris Elba Photo: Getty Images The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive Idris Elba is a big superstar, much deserving of all of the accolades, but don’t act like we didn’t put you up on his backstory as a DJ more than half a decade ago. When he’s not filming box-office blockbusters like “Obsessed” and this month’s upcoming “Takers,” he’s still getting it in behind the wheels of steel. Elba lays it down at the club during live sets and he’s still entrenched in the mixtape scene. In fact, he’s working on a major project to complement his latest film. “Takers mixtape; the film comes out on the 27th. I’m gonna put the tape out the same day as the film,” Idris told Mixtape Daily when we caught up with him over the weekend in Los Angeles. Elba, T.I., Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen and Jay Hernandez were all in the City of Angels doing press for the thriller. “I’m gonna get superstar records on there, some exclusives,” Elba continued. “But I’m also trying to get some people that follow me on Twitter, people that have been following and supporting ‘Takers’ to submit a couple records on the mixtape. Hopefully, it’ll be on Mixtape [Daily]. You can review the jam for me. I’ll throw a couple of my own songs on the jam, too — so be careful.” In the film, Elba plays Gordon Cozier, the leader of a team of highly educated, highly skilled, high-life-loving bank robbers. And yes, they play for high stakes. Gordon has just a few days to mastermind a seemingly impossible armored-car heist that would net the group tens of millions of dollars. At the same time, Gordon has family strife to confront: His sister leaves a drug rehab facility early and, almost immediately, falls off the wagon. “The truck scene. That truck thing, very, very exciting and unique,” Elba said of his favorite stunt in the film. As for his music-making co-stars, Grammy winners T.I. and Chris Brown, the British-born actor said he was impressed with their abilities as thespians. “They’re performers, number one,” Elba assessed. “And in this film, we’re being charismatic bad boys. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Audrey Kim Snooki Photo: MTV News Anyone who’s seen the first couple of episodes of the new season of “Jersey Shore” can tell that all the club-hopping, game-kicking action we witnessed last season in Seaside Heights has been ramped up exponentially with the crew down in Miami Beach. With greater public exposure, so it seems, comes greater temptation. But as Snooki told MTV News, the lure of the MTV cameras was evident back in Jersey too. “Even in Seaside, before [anyone] knew who we were, the guys got a lot of girls,” she explained. “The girls were throwing themselves at them. It was just 10 times more in Miami.” While Ronnie flirted with Jell-O shot girls and enjoyed a few three-way kisses at South Beach clubs , Snooki and her girls kept the gawking dudes at bay — well aware of their true, I-wanna-be-a-star motives. “And the guys, for us, it just wasn’t a good time, because we knew why they were throwing themselves at us,” she said. “I was just like, ‘No, not having it!’ ” Nor were they or “Shore” producers having any of the constant attention of tabloid photographers, who trailed the kids from gym to tanning salon to laundry to their jobs at a local gelato shop . “Miami, it was very overwhelming,” Snooki said. “Right when we got to the house, there was paparazzi everywhere. But the fact that the producers and the editing crew, they made it look like there was nothing there — made it so much better. Because we tried to avoid them so much, and you know the paparazzi — they’re going to follow us anywhere. Snooki Says Miami Girls ‘Threw Themselves’ At The ‘Jersey Shore’ Guys
Vinny Guadagnino allegedly hooked up with Snooki on Jersey Shore this season. Now her gorilla juicehead ex, Emilio Masella, is allegedly ready to throw down. After learning that a drunk Snooki (Nicole Polizzi) climbs into bed with castmate Vinny, Emilio, who was dating the reality star at the time, vows revenge. “I am pissed, we were friends and he was messing with my girl when I was with her, it’s not cool.” Emilio Masella said. “I’m so angry I want to fight him.” “I mean I just said goodbye to her a couple of days before it was shot and she climbed into his bed,” the New Jersey native reflects. “I was devastated.” Emilio met Snooki in January after the first season of the hit reality show and the pair were insperable. In April, Snooki accused him of being unfaithful. Vinny Guadagnino recently snuggled up to his Jersey Shore co-star Snooki Polizzi. Emilio Masella, who briefly dated the reality star this year, took exception . Back in April, Emilio got dumped via voicemail by the Snook. The indignity. “She always accused me of cheating and I never did,” he said. “And now I had to watch her on national TV doing it. I don’t deserve this, I’m a sweet guy.” Sweet he may be, but Emilio wants a piece of Vinny – for charity of course. “I want to box him, for a charity,” said the scorned non-star. “I’m going challenge him to a charity boxing match. I want to raise money for the Chile Earthquake relief fund. I am so in love with her I want to do something for Snooki.”

‘I’m not a criminal, and I will never go back there,’ the ‘Jersey Shore’ star says of her jail stay. Not long after the “Jersey Shore” crew returned to Seaside Heights following their second-season shoot in Miami, poof-haired reality star Snooki was arrested for disorderly conduct on the boardwalk. Though Snickers spent a few hours in police custody and has an upcoming court date, she’s not taking the whole thing too seriously and is looking forward to a GTL-filled summer at the Shore as the second season of MTV’s show continues. “I don’t know why people are taking it so seriously,” she told MTV News on Friday evening. “I had a couple cocktails and they just put me in a drunk tank to sober me up. I was on the beach. It happens to the best of us, and I’m not planning on going back to jail ever again. I was a public nuisance — big deal!” The disorderly conduct charge carries a potential fine of between $250 and $1,000, but Snooki will not face any jail time . That’s a good thing, clearly, because one place the 22-year-old does not want to be is behind bars. “I’m too pretty to be in jail,” Snooki said. “I’m a good person. I’m not a criminal, and I will never go back there.” “You can’t even contain me,” she added with a laugh. “When I was in there, I was like, ‘Can I come out? I can’t breathe!’ Not a fun place. Snooki is upset with President Obama, and not because of foreign policy, health care reform or even the tanning tax she whined about in the Jersey Shore premiere . She thinks he dissed her on TV. During Obama’s visit to The View , he said he didn’t know who Snooki was. We don’t blame him for trying to dodge that one, but in May, POTUS joked that the Jersey Shore star and her cohorts should be excluded from that very tanning tax. “I know he knows who I am,” Snooki told E! Online this weekend. “Why did he have to lie and say he didn’t know me? He did say Snooki and JWoww about the tanning stuff and now he doesn’t know who I am? He has to stop lying.” Looks like Barack’s down one voter in 2012. KISS OFF : Snooki wants the President to stop the lies . As for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie slamming the MTV series for tarnishing the Garden’s State’s image, Snooki, who is actually from N.Y. State, simply said, “He needs to come over and have a hot dog and a Corona and just chill.” But not too many Coronas. Otherwise he could end up arrested like Snooki on July 30. “I learned not to drink during the day and save it for the clubs. Have you ever been in jail? It’s not fun. I never want to go there again.” We have, and can vouch for her on that one. Better to wait until at least 4 p.m. before cracking open that first cold one. Maybe she’ll write this newfound wisdom down in one of her new books. Yes, that was books , plural. “One is the Snooktionary with all my sayings,” Snooki said . “The other is the story of somebody going to Seaside Heights and everything that could happen to them.” Could make a nice stocking stuffer, Barack.
