‘Jersey Shore’ Star The Situation To Launch Clothing Line

Just a few weeks after his housemate debuted a piece from her upcoming Filthy Couture line at the MTV Movie Awards, budding rapper Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is getting in the clothes game as well. The Sitch has teamed up with irreverent New York-based fashion house Dilligaf (look up the acronym ) to launch his own couture line. According to a press release announcing the deal, the “line of high-quality wearable art” will debut next month and run the gamut from T-shirts and sweatshirts to accessories, including hats. A spokesperson for the company said on Wednesday (June 23) that the vibrantly colored clothes will feature a variety of accents including foiling, cross-stitching and nail heads, noting that Sorrentino has been very involved in the design process. “Mike ‘The Situation’ embodies our irreverent approach to life,” Jodi Massry, president of Dilligaf by Bohica Bill, said in the release. “He lives the ‘let’s not take things so seriously’ mentality every day. Dilligaf’s followers and the Sitch are kindred spirits. Anyone who watches his show knows that he is all about living life to the fullest and enjoying every day.” Massry said the seven-year-old brand approached Sorrentino because they thought his creativity and style would be a perfect fit for their street wear brand. The clothes will be available online at DilligafUSA.com and in retail stores nationwide around the time of the July 29 launch of the second season of “Jersey Shore.” Would you wear clothes designed by the Situation? As promised , last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! was all about bare-bones production. After a power outage shut down the control room and broadcast transmission center just an hour before taping on Monday, the host took matters into his own hands by recording the whole show on his Macbook Pro. The low-tech solution was entertaining and endearing, as last night’s guest — Seth Rogen — searched his anecdote arsenal for stories unrelated to drug consumption. Rachel Bilson & Hayden Christensen: It May Be Over

Engaged couple Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen are “taking a break,” according to sources, one that may lead to a permanent end to their relationship. Bilson flashed a ringless finger to Us Weekly on the red carpet of the Take No Prisoners event in L.A. Wednesday when asked how wedding plans are going. “No, no plans,” she said, pointing to her bare hand. “No nothing.” Well then. Quite the awkward moment for the reporter! The couple, who co-starred in 2008 action flick Jumper , and got engaged in 2009, are “taking about a month off” and will revisit their future together then. The self-imposed break began about two weeks ago, after Rachel watched him attempt to act in the Star Wars trilogy. Just kidding. But he was pretty bad. We wish the couple the best … whatever that may be .

Report: Half the Jersey Shore Cast to Be Fired

Earlier this year, we told you Jersey Shore was looking for a new crop of fake-tanned faces to integrate with or flat-out replace its familiar, fake-tanned ones. Now it looks like a four and four scenario: Four stay, four go. Then Ronnie hops in a 4×4 and raises all sorts of hell when he realizes he’s just gotten a pink slip. That’s the rumor. MTV sources say this season’s footage of Ronnie Magro, Sammi Giancola , Vinny Guadagnino and Angelina Pivarnick has been “underwhelming.” At least according to the network brass. As for replacing them for Season 3, one source said, “They should be very worried .” No fist-pumping for you, Ron-Ron. As for The Situation, Snooki, Pauly D and JWoww, they’re reportedly sold for next season, and may be melded with a fresh group of guidos/ettes at that time. This in spite of The Situation’s diva-like antics . Guy brings in viewers!

This has been circulating for a few weeks, but THG only just found it thanks to the social networking marvel that is Twitter, and just had to share with you. The gist: An individual was so plastered in broad daylight at this spring’s Coachella Festival that they could not locate their flip flops right in front of them. Amazingly, it’s not Lindsay Lohan ! This poor guy, apparently on his way to a portable bathroom of some kind, may have wanted to find an IV instead. Jersey Shore Producers: The Situation is a Diva

If you thought his attempt at rap was difficult to stomach, sources on the set of Jersey Shore say The Situation’s diva-like antics are making him a pain to deal with. The Sitch (Mike Sorrentino) has become an egomaniac convinced he knows more about making a hit show than the producers or MTV – and he’s calling the shots. As one source summed up the matter of the Staten Island gym manager, “It’s gotten ridiculous. If we tell [Mike] not to cross the street, he will. He just defies us .” Moreover, the producers are trying to keep the cast real, despite the guys and girls being quasi-celebrities at this point, and that task is hardest with The Situation. Jersey Shore’s The Situation with Angelina (the random girl who left) . They don’t want the Jersey Shore cast members making deals on the phone, bragging to others about their fame or their wallet, etc. – and he’s out of control. As a result, a lot of what’s shot is unusable, because it doesn’t even resemble a reality show – and that’s not even what’s getting to the MTV producers most. Once a week, the cast is given time to deal with personal business deals off camera. Mike is on the phone all the time, ’cause he thinks peeps wanna see this. You could say it’s become a bit of a frustrating … Situation.

Sammi Giancola Pops Some Chick in Latest Jersey Shore Melee, Skips Outta Miami to Avoid Arrest

Sammi Giancola, a.k.a. Sweetheart, said in one of the earliest Jersey Shore quotes that she is the sweetest b!tch you will ever meet. We beg to differ. Popping some chick twice in the face at a Miami nightclub doesn’t exactly seem like a “Sweetheart” move to us, but maybe it was done out of love? The incident supposedly happened last month, and according to law enforcement officials, Sammi is in the clear – but only because she left town just in time. The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office says the case of Giancola’s flying fists of alcohol-fueled fury is closed because, well, there’s no one to arrest. NO SWEETHEART : Sammi is at the center of the latest Jersey Shore fight . “As a matter of policy, we do not file charges involving misdemeanor crimes when the accused is beyond [our] jurisdiction,” an office spokesman said. However, if Giancola ever shows her face in Miami again? According to the State Attorney, “This case could be revisited if and when the accused returns.” Scratch Miami off the list of cities in consideration for Season 3 then. Last season, Sammi’s hothead BF Ronnie Magro became notorious for fights on the show. Seriously, the dude would throw down at a moment’s notice. A couple of absolute tools continue to seek some form of justice.
