The cast of Jersey Shore – pregnant Snooki included – was spotted Thursday by celebrity gossip photographers moving back into the Seaside Cesspool. Does this mean she’s having a change of heart about getting her own place? The baby-bumpin’ poof-head says she has no plans to stay in the house, but reports and pics from the scene say otherwise. So what’s the deal? “You know how they have to make it look for editing,” a source said. “What they will probably do is have her there for a day or two. But then she’ll move into the new place. Trust me, she will not be living in that house.” A source told us not even two weeks ago that Snooki will likely live in a nearby house in Seaside Heights, N.J. Close enough to hang out, but away from the epicenter. She has repeatedly said that the house is no place for a pregnant woman. Or anyone who values their health or brain cells even a little bit. Smart. Snooki, who’s pregnant with a boy , is due in September. [Photo: WENN.com]
‘Jersey Shore’ stars have soft spot for Channing Tatum, up for Best Male Performance at Sunday night’s show. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Vaughn Schoonmaker JWoww and Snooki Photo: MTV News “Jersey Shore” stars Snooki and JWoww certainly have strong opinions about the contenders in the Best Male Performance category at Sunday’s 2012 MTV Movie Awards . When the rowdy pair sat down with MTV News recently, they weighed in on the five equally fine guys duking it out at the show. And they’ve offered up some colorful commentary about some of the nominees. Regarding Daniel Radcliffe, who is up for his work in the last “Harry Potter” flick, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2,” JWoww said, “He’s Harry — not literally.” Meanwhile, Snooki added, “He looks like he can party.” As for Ryan Gosling, nominated for his work in “Drive,” JWoww said, “Ryan Gosling’s supposed to be, like, the hottest male ever, right?” The ladies had even warmer feelings for “The Vow” star Channing Tatum. Snooki could barely form together a complete sentence when it came to describing his beefiness. She said, “Channing Tatum, ‘The Vow,’ he was really hot.” Mirroring the mama-to-be’s sentiments, JWoww added, “I’d have sex with him.” As for Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Josh Hutcherson, well, the two ladies were a bit out of the know about those guys. Perhaps they should bone up on their knowledge of them a bit more before Sunday’s show since one of them just might win. One of these guys will take home the prize in the Best Male Performance category at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards taking place this weekend. The show will be hosted by Russell Brand and will feature performances from Fun. , the Black Keys, Martin Solveig and Wiz Khalifa . It all goes down at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, June 3. Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! Ray J is out of the hospital and expected to make a full recovery, following a scare this weekend when the singer thought he had suffered a fatal blood clot. And fans of the former Kim Kardashian sex tape partner reportedly have Sophie Monk to thank. According to TMZ sources, the model was staying in a different hotel room from Ray J on Sunday night, but popped in to check on her Prince Reigns campaign mate (we wonder why?!?) and found him on the floor, unresponsive. Monk proceeded to alert the hotel management, who dialed 911. An ambulance then transported Ray J to the hospital and, fortunately for all involved, nothing especially worrisome was discovered. It’s not quite a Chris Brown and Chrissy Teigen -level feud, but Pauly D and Deadmau5 have been engaged in a bit of a Twitter beef of their own this week. $h!t got so real after Deadmau5 said earlier this week that the Jersey Shore star was a hack and basically has zero talent when it comes to DJing. Pauly D’s response? The Tweet and photo below: No word on whether Deadmau5, who also got into it with Madonna recently, truly thinks that 4×4=12, or if Neil Diamond is planning a Twitter offensive of his own after being inadvertently dragged into this war of words. In any case, the beat goes on. And it sounds like nnts nnts nnts nnts ….
‘At first, I thought that it might have gave me energy. I thought it helped me,’ the ‘Jersey Shore’ star says of prescription painkillers. By Gil Kaufman, with reporting by Sway Calloway The Situation Photo: MTV News When he first began taking prescription painkillers , “Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino said the medication helped him deal with the crazy rush of fame he experienced as the show’s stars turned from regular kids to international superstars. But as he told MTV News’ Sway Calloway in an exclusive interview , the crutch quickly turned into a dependence that proved hard to shake. “At first, I thought that it might have gave me energy,” Situation said. “I thought it helped me. Because it’s a painkiller, you’re not tired anymore. Then after a while, you’re like, ‘Oh, wow, maybe this is gonna help my schedule out.’ I’m always on planes, I’m always flying, I’m flying there. I don’t want anybody to feel bad for me at all. I’m just saying that being in this business is not easy, and it’s definitely not for everybody. Sorrentino said he now realizes he made a mistake in choosing pills over the thing that used to keep him pumped up: exercise. And he vehemently denied rumors that there were other substances — such as cocaine, alcohol or marijuana — that fed his addiction. “Strictly painkillers,” he said. “And never even mixed them. … Even on ‘Jersey Shore,’ which obviously people have seen me with a drink in my hand. But I was never drunk. I was the guy that was the ladies’ man. You can’t get girls if you can’t speak to them. Drinking was definitely not an issue for me, for sure.” He described his first day in rehab and the difficulty of dealing with his new reality. “Your first day is detox,” he said of the program he attended. “It’s not a pleasurable experience at all. … In the beginning, for sure, when I was [at the facility] in Utah, I’d wake up and just be extremely disappointed with myself. Like, ‘I can’t believe I got here. How did I get here? Like, I can’t believe this.’ ” Though he didn’t do serious damage to his career, his pocketbook or his family, Sorrentino now realizes that all those things could have happened. “You hear stories all the time of celebrities and people just not even waking up … that could be me, you know?” His biggest fear, though, was that rehab might not stick and he would find himself right back in the same scenario. “That’s exactly what I was thinking,” he said. “The results, your health, your mind, your body, it’s not coming back as quick as you want it to. I’ll be honest, the only thing that comes back quick is your emotions.” After years of blocking out feelings of fear, pain and anxiety, once he began detoxing, Sorrentino all of a sudden began feeling anger, sadness, disappointment, pressure and dismay. “Everything just hits you all at once, and it feels like you’re not going to recover,” he said. “It feels like it’s an impossible deed. Day by day, you’re like, ‘When is it going to get better? When is it going to get better?’ But day by day, it does.” Instead of rolling the ball uphill these days, Mike said it finally feels hopeful that he can make it through this challenge. One of the first things he did after leaving rehab was change his cell number and eliminate the people and places in his life that were familiar in a negative way. “If I don’t do business with you or work with you, I probably don’t talk to you,” he said. When Sway asked if Mike is worried about relapsing, Sorrentino laughed nervously and said, “You’re not supposed to think like that. You’re supposed to take it one day at a time. If all you have to concentrate on is that one day and today and being your best … I think you should be good for that day and you’re not gonna relapse.” Related Videos Exclusive: Mike ‘The Situation’ Speaks

‘[Today] is the last episode of the season and I think we are just really relieved,’ finalist Jessica Sanchez says about Wednesday’s finale. By Kelly Marino Jessica Sanchez performs on the “American Idol” finale on May 22 Photo: Frank Micelotta/ Getty Images The end is finally upon us. On Wednesday night (May 23), someone will be showered in confetti and ultimately crowned the 11th “American Idol” after going head-to-head in last night’s final performances. Will Jessica Sanchez take home the title, finally becoming the first female contestant since Jordan Sparks in 2007 to win? Or will it be Phillip Phillips , whose stage presence is so similar to the last few years’ winners, apparently all he needs to do is make the ladies melt with that guitar and he’ll be a shoo-in for first place. Regardless, not a lot of people can say they stuck it out this long. “Of course we all want to win, but it gets to a point where nobody really makes it this far,” Sanchez, a.k.a. the tiny girl with the huge voice, said backstage Tuesday night. “I love that I’m with [Phillip] in the top two. It’s amazing. He’s goofy and he’s funny and he is an amazing artist and an amazing person overall.” And those feelings were mutual — in so many words or less. When asked what his favorite performance of the night was, the humble yet painfully bashful Phillips replied with that infamous smile, “Probably all three of Jessica’s.” According to the judges though, it was Phillip Phillip’s song choice of “Home” in the final round that stole the show, giving him the one and only standing ovation of the night — a moment that might not have happened had he not calmed his nerves earlier on. “I was scared to death,” the husky-voiced Georgia native explained after realizing he would be performing in front of more than 7,000 audience members inside the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. “But you know, I went out there and finally loosened up throughout ‘Stand by Me,’ and I just had fun the rest of the night. It was so, so fun.” And after three months of crazy schedules, lack of sleep, countless critiques, powerful (and some not so powerful) performances, it’s about time to have some fun and loosen up. With Tuesday night’s two-hour finale their last show of the season, both “Idol” hopefuls, who will take the stage singing duets with some of their favorite artists, agree it is a stress-free road from here on out. “We just feel like a weight has been lifted off our shoulders,” 16-year-old Sanchez admitted. “[Today] is the last episode of the season and I think we are just really relieved. We are going to miss each other so much. We are going to be on tour together, but I mean, this competition has taught us so much and it’s been really tiring too.” “We got to the point that whatever happens, happens,” Phillips, the only contestant never up for elimination, added. “We are two completely different artists and we wish each other the best with both of our careers.” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions. ‘He’s the best celebrity dance partner anyone could ask for,’ his pro dance partner Peta Murgatroyd said. By Kelley L. Carter Peta Murgatroyd and Donald Driver on “Dancing With the Stars” Photo: ABC Upon hearing his name called as the season 14 winner of ABC’s hit show “Dancing With the Stars,” Donald Driver stopped, dropped and rolled. “Amazing! This is awesome!” he said, his fist punching the sky in excitement. It was a sweet moment, considering that Driver, an NFL star, revealed that he’s been a longtime fan of the show and had watched it since its inaugural season. Driver ran around the ballroom dance floor and screamed his excitement, while rolling around on the floor after he found out he outscored classical singer Katherine Jenkins (Monday night’s top scorer) and her partner Mark Ballas. On Monday night, Driver and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, danced the Argentine tango for their first dance, and head judge Len Goodman said he loved Driver’s intensity. The other judges thought his storytelling through dance was moving. The three judges gave him one point shy of a perfect score for that round. For the freestyle round, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver two-stepped to country music, which could have been a risk on the ballroom floor. The judges loved it, and Carrie Ann Inaba actually jumped up on the table and proclaimed, “This is my favorite dance of the season!” For that, Driver earned a perfect score. As for Tuesday night’s finale, he danced one last shirtless dance, for which the judges gave him another perfect trio of 10s. Len Goodman named him the best dancing footballer they’ve ever had on the show. “He’s the best celebrity dance partner anyone could ask for,” Murgatroyd said before her partner was crowned the winner. “I was lucky.”
‘If I fell, lots of people fell … it definitely was a lot of weight,’ the ‘Jersey Shore’ star says about fears of letting his family down. By Gil Kaufman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Photo: MTV News When you watch “Jersey Shore,” you’ll sometimes see its hard-partying castmembers wake up from rough nights out at the club with their hair disheveled, their rooms a mess and, if they’re lucky, a companion in their bed. But in addition to headaches and fuzzy memories, “Shore” lightning rod Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino said he often woke up with the kind of hangover a glass of water and a few hours in the gym can’t cure: deep regret. “That was going through my head every morning when I’d wake up,” Sorrentino told MTV News’ Sway Calloway in an exclusive interview in which he discussed his fears that an addiction to prescription painkillers could have cost him the friends, relationships and the budding celebrity he’d struggled to achieve. “The thought that possibly I would disappoint my loved ones … the things that I’ve worked so hard for in my career, I just didn’t want to lose that.” Compound those fears with the fact that Sorrentino’s business life is inextricably linked with his family — his two brothers and sister work with him — and you have a frightening scenario that scared Mike into checking into a rehab facility earlier this year. “If I fell,” he said, “lots of people fell. … It definitely was a lot of weight. If I was to make such a huge mistake or not [be] able to recover, so to speak, because of a substance … it was definitely something that I didn’t want to happen.” As he slipped into addiction, Sorrentino didn’t hang around with family, and, most noticeably for the originator of the “GTL” phenomenon, he stopped going to the gym. When the latter happened, that’s when the rest of the Sorrentino clan began to ask questions. “Once I stopped going to the gym, the family started to immediately notice,” he said. “They were like, ‘Why isn’t Mike going to the gym? Is he OK?’ ” Every addict will have at least one story about when they hit rock bottom, and Mike is no different. His bottom came during a personal appearance tour in Australia when he was, as always, surrounded by family. “I had the whole team there, and all I had to do was go to the appearance for an hour,” he said. “And I was so tired that I had trouble getting dressed. Just getting dressed. The outfit was actually laid out for me … all I had to do was jump in the shower and put the clothes on.” With his brother, his best friends and other close members of his team scratching their heads, Mike felt the pressure of the moment and could see that they knew something was wrong. “The whole team [was] looking at me like, ‘If Mike doesn’t get up on this, we’re gonna have a problem.’ ” He did eventually rally, but he knew it shouldn’t be that hard or take that long. “I realized right then and there: I was so tired I couldn’t do that — how am I going to do any other job?” he recalled. “I needed to ask for help. I was willing to say, ‘This thing is bigger than me.’ I knew that I couldn’t do it alone.” The first people to approach him and suggest he needed help were his older brother and business partner, Marc, and younger sister Melissa. “For him to come up to me and say something … it was very sincere, and I didn’t want to disappoint him,” Mike said of his brother, whom he respects above just about anyone. And so, with the help of his family and friends, Mike decided to take the necessary steps to get help. “It was already on my mind that I needed help and I could do this,” he said. “But I didn’t really know how to go about it.” Related Videos Exclusive: Mike ‘The Situation’ Speaks
