By Christina Garibaldi Snooki Photo: MTV On Wednesday (March 7) Snooki put all the rumors to rest by officially announcing not only that she is expecting her first child, but that she is engaged to Jionni LaValle. On Wednesday, the “Jersey Shore” star tweeted , “Happy to finally share the news with my fans.” LaValle also shared his excitement via Twitter , “Thank You everyone!! Sorry about that wait but glad everyone’s happy!! Nicole and I are real excited!! Our baby is going to be #ShortnTan” The parents-to-be aren’t the only ones excited for the new addition, Pauly D has offered his babysitting services , and Deena couldn’t be more thrilled about having a mini meatball running around. “Congrats @snooki my Lil meatball!!” Deena tweeted . “Can’t believe we’re gonna have a little baby meatball running around soon.. Your gonna be a great mommy.” Got baby-name suggestions for Snooki’s meatball in the oven? Tell us on Facebook! And it seems her fans are also sharing in the excitement of the big announcement. MTV News hit the streets of New York, where fans were eager to wish a big congratulations to Snooki and Jionni. “Congrats! That’s crazy!” Cody McNeeley said. “I don’t know what her baby is gonna be like … it will have a poof and rockin’ the fist pump.” Savannah Moore added, “Gonna come out with a bump!” “Shore” fan Brian McGee was initially shocked by the news, but wished them nothing but the best. “Congratulations, Snooki, and good luck with the whole baby thing. Jionni’s a good man.” So, what would fans get Snooki as a baby gift? “I’d give her a cute Juicy Couture like baby bag. That so fits her style,” said one fan named Feek. And the Jersey Shore star and LaValle, both 24, know just what detractors are thinking, they tell Us. “I have different priorities now,” reformed party girl Snooki says. “I don’t care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and he’s ready.” Adds LaValle: “We are not going to screw this up.” The once pouf-haired star and LaValle discovered the news “right after New Year’s,” she said. Snooki’s first thought? “‘S–t, I’ve been drinking!’ I was worried. It was New Year’s Eve and we were in Vegas, so I did go crazy.” she admits. SMH. Jionni LaValle is Snooki’s baby daddy and apparently her fiance too. Despite the fact that the Jersey Shore star hasn’t confirmed either life development, the cat’s out of the bag that he got Snooki pregnant (a Jersey City baby store has already been tipped off) and she’s engaged to Jionni LaValle (she’s wearing a ring). Anyway, here are a few things we know about the “lucky” guy … Not a big fame seeker. Emilio Masella or Jeff Miranda, he’s not. No tabloid deals, revenge hook-ups, no interest in Jersey Shore . Pleasantly surprising. Not a juicehead. Snooki even admits she “wasn’t sure about him at first because he isn’t the typical gorilla.” Yes, this was a potential negative factor. He gets along with her family. Jionni went on a family vacation with Snook to Disney World and a road trip to Pennsylvania, fitting in with the Polizzis. He’s studying to be a teacher. Seriously. Like his two older brothers, Jionni is studying to get his teaching degree. Contributing to society? Amazing. He cooked her pickle pancakes, she Tweeted. That may beat a diamond ring. Case closed – time to wife this guy up, Snooks. Talk about a keeper.

The fact that someone got Snooki pregnant is truly a scary thought. Fortunately, it looks like the Jersey Shore star herself got the memo. According to those close to the MTV train wreck, she’s undergoing a major personal transformation , determined to become a responsible member of society who takes pregnancy and impending motherhood very, very seriously. It’s okay, you can laugh. We did. Sources close to Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi say that ever since discovered she was expecting her first child, she quit drinking, quit screwing around and convinced the people around her that she could not only handle it, but be ” mother of the year .” We’ll believe that when we see it. No offense Snook. Snooki does come from a loving family and despite being a total drunken promiscuous mess, understands what it takes to become a responsible mother. As far as her upcoming Jersey Shore spinoff goes? At least one baby store has agreed to let her film there, but don’t expect her life to continue to unfold in the public eye for too much longer. The premise of the spinoff with BFF JWoww is that it’s the girls’ “last hurrah.” The untitled show will follow the girls’ transition into adulthood – moving into an adult apartment, taking some serious adult steps with their boyfriends, etc. Speaking of which, Jionni LaValle is the father of her child. Supposedly. Snooki hasn’t confirmed the pregnancy, though the cat is out of the bag, and she’s with Jionni still … so it seems likely he’s the father. Likely. The boyfriends (Jionni and Roger Williams) will not have starring roles on the show … but the relationships will be “key.” So, there’s that.

Pregnant Snooki Ready to Turn Over a New Leaf, "Transition Into Adulthood" (Yeah Right)
Snooki’s new Jersey Shore spinoff is all about the baby she has yet to acknowledge is now growing in her womb. The evidence is slowly but surely starting to pile up. Proof that Jionni LaValle is responsible for getting Snooki pregnant ? A Jersey City baby store has already been contacted by producers about shooting on location. The owner of Bambi Baby says someone from 495 Productions, the company behind Jersey Shore , reached out to the baby store within the last few weeks. This was right around the time Snooki was adamantly denying she was pregnant … a lie that was fairly convincing, but has since unraveled rapidly in the last few days. The peeps at 495 asked Bambi for permission to shoot some scenes inside the store, and after some hesitation, the owner agreed, unlike one local wine store . It’s unclear when shooting is scheduled to begin, and Snooki has yet to state publicly that she is knocked up, but expect an announcement any day now. Whenever she gets the best deal with Us Weekly , in other words.

Looks like it’s official: Snooki is pregnant . God help us. We have Jionni LaValle to blame for getting Snooki pregnant. Having dated for about a year at this point, the tanned couple is expecting its first child together. “She’s about 3-4 months along now,” a source tells E!’s Mark Malkin, as reliable a person as there is in the celeb gossip field. So why hasn’t she confirmed it? She doesn’t want to jinx it She wants to get PAID The 24-year-old Jersey Shore cast memnber (real name Nicole Polizzi) is hoping to turn the pregnancy into money-making deals, according to the New York Post . She’s also deeply superstitious about adhering to the rule of reaching the 12-week mark before breaking the news. Now that it’s passed, expect it imminently. Earlier this month, Snooki shot down Star magazine claims that she was expecting . But she lied, according to E! and the Post , and is totally with child. Eeeek. Snooki has always said she dreamed of being a mom one day. “I want two, a boy and a girl,” she said in 2010. “I’m going to name them Isabella and Frankie.” No word yet on whether it will be Isabella or Frankie arriving this year, but the world’s collective I.Q. may well drop a couple of points. Girl is not bright. Or sober.
