‘I Just Want My Pants Back’ Cast Calls ‘Jersey Shore’ ‘A Great Show’

‘Pants Back’ cast throws a party in Brooklyn to celebrate the show’s much-anticipated premiere on February 2. By Jocelyn Vena Peter Vack and Kim Shaw Photo: MTV News NEW YORK — On Thursday night, the cast of MTV’s latest scripted comedy, “I Just Want My Pants Back,” gathered at the Public Assembly in Brooklyn, where they not only celebrated the show’s imminent arrival, but also got to hang out with their Thursday night cohorts, the cast of the “Jersey Shore.” The pilot for the series originally got some love when it made its debut after the VMAs in August, and now it will officially kick off its run next Thursday. The cast, it seems, can’t wait to finally have it on air. “At last! I know everyone’s been asking,” Jordan Carlos joked to MTV News about the long-simmering delay. “My parents can finally get off my back; it’s real. It’ll be on on Groundhog Day, which happens to be my birthday as well.” “We’ve been seeing the commercials for the show for years now,” Sunkrish Bala teased. “Slow burn, but it’s all coming to a beautiful conclusion right now.” “It feels so crazy to be here right now,” co-star Kim Shaw said. “We wanted people to see it at the VMAs to give people a taste of what we were filming, and now that we’re finished with the series, we’re so excited that everyone gets to see the whole thing.” Having already had one very high-profile premiere, it seems that next week it will get one more thanks to the “Jersey Shore” as its lead-in. “It’s awesome,” Elisabeth Hower said. “The fact that the network has so much confidence around us really means a lot, and I think that says a lot about the show. Please watch the show. We’re nice people.” “It’s an amazing lead-in,” said Peter Vack, leading man of “Pants Back.” ” ‘Jersey Shore’ is a great show.” While “Jersey Shore” and “Pants Back” may seem like different shows on the surface — one’s scripted, one’s a reality show; one’s about hipsters, one’s about guidos — they both deal with a group of friends navigating their love lives. “Pants Back” follows a group of twentysomethings in New York City as they pilot love, friendship and the job market with a good dose of dirty humor and some heart thrown in for good measure. “The show just goes so many fun places,” Vack teased. “It’s just a crazy ride, and I’m excited for people to take the ride with us.” “Pants Back” premieres on February 2 at 11 P.M. ET/PT right after “Jersey Shore.” Are you excited for “I Just Want My Pants Back”? Let us know in the comments section! Elisha Cuthbert Shows Off Her New Shape

I’m glad that Elisha Cuthbert has made a comeback of sorts, I think her show is doing alright, she’s always been one of my favorite hotties so I’m happy her career is back on track. For a little while there I was afraid she was going to end up on some cheesy Canadian soap opera. Here she is on the cover of shape magazine showing off that sleek figure of hers in some tight dresses and workout gear. Whatever she’s doing, it’s working.

JWoWW Nerds Up Her Massive Breasts

Here’s the Jersey Shore’s resident busty broad, JWoWW , at some party over the weekend showing off her stretched out tube top and stupid glasses. Is it just me or do giant fake breasts and tube tops really go well together? One quick tug and those big things are completely exposed, not that I’m condoning that kind of behavior, but if it happened I wouldn’t look away. Any bets those retarded glasses don’t have any lenses in them? Thanks hipsters.

‘Jersey Shore’ High Five: Coping With Vinny’s Absence

Plus, the Situation’s birthday tantrum and Snooki learns a new word. By Jim Cantiello Pauly D on Thursday’s episode of “Jersey Shore” With Vinny gone, the “Jersey Shore” cast spiraled out of control! Deena danced so hard that her hair extensions needed to be surgically removed, Snooki was half a body shot away from the morgue and the Situation “left the show” because nobody cared that it was birthday. Here are my five favorite moments from this week’s “Jersey Shore”: 5. A Tribute to the Fallen This week’s episode picked up where last week’s left off. Vinny went home to Staten Island to calm down after his anxiety flare-ups. You know, re-charge his batteries and get away from reality-TV cameras for a while. Wait, what? MTV sent a camera crew home with him? Get better, Vinny! Back in Seaside, Vinny’s housemates paid tribute to their fallen comrade in unique ways. Ron? “In honor of Vinny, I’m wearing skinny jeans!” Sweet! Respectful! Well done, Ron. How about you, Pauly? “I’m gonna smash this girl in Vinny’s bed in honor of Vinny leaving the house.” That’s … something! Snooki and Deena, you’re up next! “Meatball day! I love gay dudes! You can dance with them, and then at the end of the night, you’re not expected to give them …” — well, you get the idea. Forget Harvey Milk. I think the gay-rights movement has a new hero. And last but not least: the Situation, who honored Vinny by leaving the house! Except, instead of walking out for mental-health reasons, he did so because his castmates didn’t make him a birthday cake. America, don’t pay attention to the millionaire toddler having a temper tantrum. 4. Mrs. Sitch Speaking of the Situation, he might be on the path to “wife-ing” perennial hookup Paula. And if it happens, I vote Sammi as maid of honor. To quote Sammi: “I like Paula. She might be dirty and grimy and skanky and disgusting, but she’s pretty cool.” To the happy couple! 3. Presented Without Comment Deena: “I know I’m not the smartest crayon out of the box but this isn’t rocket scientists. We can start a party!” 2. Snooki the Word Nerd Snooki learned a new word! “My ass is protruding! Protruding!” Careful, Snooks! Don’t wake up the scary ancient vocabulary monster! “It’s the word of the day: ‘protruding.’ Let’s use it all day.” JWoww asks, “In what context?” [Cut to Madonna’s “20/20” interview: “Look it up.”] Alas, the vocab monster is now awake. 1. How Do You Say “DTF” in Bosnian? On Pauly’s b-day, fellow birthday boy Mike passed off a hot Bosnian girl to his buddy. But as soon as she got back to the house, it became painfully obvious that when “Jersey Shore” airs in Bosnia, they cut out all the sex stuff. [The Bosnian girl wants to talk all night rather than hooking up and is confused why other girls are there. Pauly gets mad, calls her a cab home and kicks her out.] First a war, now this. Will Bosnia ever catch a break? For continuing “Jersey Shore” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s Remote Control blog. Naomi From “The Real World Las Vegas” Speaks Out! [EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW]

Link:

If you’ve been keeping up with MTV’s hit reality show, “The Real World” then you’re familiar with the recent “Back To Las Vegas” season which was full of drama, hook-ups, back stabbing, lies and of course partying. The Las Vegas cast seemed to win over the hearts of America as they were the highest rated Real World cast to date. Now one of the cast members, Naomi, is getting ready for the premiere of the new Real World challenge, Battle of the Exs, which features a few of her cast mates including her on again off again boo/hook-up buddy, Leroy. If you watched the season, then you know just what it means when you put Naomi and Leroy in a room together for more than 5 minutes! I recently had the chance to chat with Naomi about her experience with MTV. Check out my exclusive interview with her as she dishes on her experience living with seven strangers, having cameras follow her every move, dealing with the whole STD drama with Leroy on camera and her experience on the upcoming Battle of the Exs challenge! HelloBeautiful: How has your life changed since u appeared on the MTV’s “Real World Las Vegas”? Naomi: It’s definitely changed. For one thing, I never stick to the same look. I get bored having the same look. I’ve colored my hair and now I have a very short hair cut. I renovate my look often and people still notice me and ask me questions about the show. I’ve met a lot of people in the business and in the MTV family. I’ve been able to party with people from “Jersey Shore”. Our show was even nominated for a “Teen Choice Award” against The Kardashians and “Jersey Shore” which is really big.  Our Real World season brought it back on the map as we were the highest rated Real World ever. This is insane even though “Jersey Shore” won, it was just amazing to be nominated. I’ve gotten into cool projects, reality shows and photo shoots. I even want to enroll in acting classes in NYC so I have gained a lot. HB: Did u want to be an actress before the “Real World”? Naomi: Ever since I was 11 I wanted to be an actress. I was offered a scholarship to go acting school but my dad didn’t want to pay so I let the idea go until I became an adult But being on reality TV I figured this could be an opportunity to do other things. The only thing is that being on reality tv they don’t take you as serious so I would definitely have to take a lot of classes to get on my feet. HB: Why did u decide to go on the real world in the first place? Naomi: I was in college at the time I went to school upstate and my soror sent me an email about the casting. They said I’m crazy and have such a good personality that I’ll get picked right away so I figured I had nothing to lose. I didn’t expect anything out of it. I was pretty casual and I showed up late. I just wore jeans, curly hair all out. Other people had on fur coats and dresses and stuff I was the complete opposite. The way it works is that you have a group interview and the casting director asks you a question about yourself and then from there he’ll build on more questions. At the end of the interview, the casting director asks everyone who would they like to get to know more out of the entire group. Everybody liked me out of the group, wanted to get to know me and wanted to have me as a friend. Then, he chose me to fill out an 80-page application to move on to the next step and I kept moving on. There was 5 or 6 other steps in the process before I finally was chosen to move into the house. HB: How was your experience in the house?  Do u have any regrets? Naomi: We were all so multi dimensional so I want to say that none of us did anything to misinterpret. The way we were on TV was the way we were in real life. The problem with other people is that they get on reality TV and they’re excited so they try to edit themselves. We were all ourselves; we were completely the same person that we are. I don’t think we were seen in anyway that we weren’t. I met 7 new people I never knew before. Its lead me to other opportunities so I don’t regret any of it. HB: How was it dealing with/hooking up with Leroy? Naomi: Our whole relationship was playful. We didn’t want to get in each other’s way when were having a good time. We’re both playful and immature and this situation with the STD made us want to be more mature. When it comes to dealing with feelings we both become introverted. So I had to grow up because it was my health I was dealing with.  I was the one going through the situation. I had to own up to my mistake, which was having sex with him, unprotected, and then having to go to the doctor. You have cameras following you and it’s nothing you can do about it. It’s no such thing as privacy. You’re living in a bubble so it’s like you’re dealing with just your roommates but when the show airs you’re dealing with everybody’s reaction. People are so quick to judge people off a reality show when they know that that happens everyday but because it’s on TV people feel the need to judge u more. You live and you learn. I don’t regret it. It helped other people realize the importance of protecting yourself. HB: Do you ever get any type of privacy? Naomi: No, the only time they don’t follow you is when you’re taking a crap but you get used to it. You’ll have a personal relationship with the cameraman, it is what it is. They’re there you’re there but you’re not communicating. We got used to the fact that we were being watched by day number two. HB: How did you get hooked up with battle of exes? There’s always a challenge that follows a “Real World” and each challenge has a theme. This one is battle of the exs and you don’t know what’s going on until u get there. You don’t know who was picked. We were in the Dominican Republic and imagine getting the news you’re being hooked up with your ex. After the show we were trying to figure out if we were going to pursue each other on a more serious note. But unfortunately it didn’t work out. But the wounds were still fresh to me because I obviously cared about him a lot so it was something I was still dealing with. When I went to the Dominican Republic, I was still dealing with not being with him. How can I be paired up with him and live with him and I still have feelings? He’s the kind of guy that’s never settles down and he’s never had a real relationship so for me its kind of like I’m in it alone. Everything else will be shown on TV. It was a very different experience from real world. HB: Which do you like better? Real World or the Challenges? Naomi: I like the “Real World” better. I like to party and have a good time and I like to meet different people. You build better relationships on the “Real World”. The “Challenge” is so competitive and everyone is backstabbing and for themselves. I hate those situations. I don’t want to be the kind of person that has to be on their toes all the time because something is constantly changing. I did like the challenge though but I just like the “Real World” better. HB: How is you and Leroy’s relationship now? Naomi: Leroy and I are friends, nothing more and nothing less. If we see each other, I’m sure we would hook up. I think we see each other in a different light. HB: Any new projects? Naomi: Well, I have a photo shoot coming up. I’m on the cover of Ellements Magazine for the January issue (ellementsmag.com). I’m having my 24 th birthday at TAJ In NYC sponsored by Isreal at Alist Entertainment. Follow me @NaomiMTV Will you tune in to “Battle of the Ex’s”?

The Most Awkward Knock-Knock Joke Ever

Kids. They say such absurd things. Some more than others. In this case, a youngster turned an innocuous knock knock joke into a genuinely awkward moment, turning off a cute girl in the process. Watch the exchange below: Knock, Knock Joke The transcript as we best understand it: Boy: Superman on what? Girl: I have no possible idea… that’s all I know of the joke. Boy: Might be on a hotdog?! [smiles deviously] Girl: Yeah … [scoots away from future 40-Year-Old Virgin ASAP] Well played, guy. Or poorly played, depending on your viewpoint.

Situation Pimp Slapped By Serious Apparel Company

“When tha pimp’s in da crib, drop it like it’s hot.” – Snoop Dogg The above quote means absolutely nothing, but The Situation from Jersey Shore is being sued for screwing over an apparel company called Serious Pimp, and Snoop apparently endorses some of their products … so there’s that. Serious Pimp is slapping Sitch with a lawsuit claiming the reality star made a deal to promote its t-shirts on the show, Facebook, Twitter and various other places. According to the lawsuit, Mike Sorrentino and his brother had the right to approve the t-shirt designs, but never said yay or nay. They just disappeared, allegedly. With the $25,000 advance he got. Serious Pimp planned on co-partnering with The Situation to make a bundle on the shirts, so they want that advance back as well as compensation for lost profit. Maybe The Unit is available to fill in? [Photo: WENN.com]

Vinny’s ‘Jersey Shore’ Anxiety ‘Will Help Others’

Psychiatrist talks to MTV News after the star left the show on Thursday’s episode to address his lifelong struggle with clinical anxiety. By James Montgomery Vinny and Pauly D on “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV On Thursday night’s “Jersey Shore,” viewers were given a glimpse inside Vinny Guadagnino’s lifelong (though closely guarded) struggle with clinical anxiety — a battle that finally forced him to leave the show and return home to Staten Island. It was a decidedly somber moment on a show that more often than not focuses solely on good times. But Guadagnino’s condition shouldn’t come as all that much of a shock: according to estimates, 15 to 25 percent of the population suffer from some form of anxiety disorder, and most of the time, those conditions remain undiagnosed. Which is why the “Shore” star going public with his personal struggle is such a big deal. Perhaps by doing so, he will inspire others to do the same. “I was really struck by the honesty and the candor. I didn’t expect that to be on national television,” Dr. Sue Varma, a Manhattan psychiatrist and faculty member at NYU’s Langone Medical Center, told MTV News. “As private as it is, if you’re a public figure like he is, and you’re dealing with an issue, you can bring awareness to it. It will help other people suffering from [an anxiety disorder] to come out without fear of being ostracized. It will get people talking and get people help.” Varma said that many of the conditions Guadagnino discussed on the episode are all fairly common to those suffering from an anxiety disorder. And those conditions were only exacerbated by his hard-charging Seaside Heights surroundings. “You hear Vinny talking about not having his family around, not having a regular sleep schedule, going out a lot, drinking … routine is really big, sleep is huge. For every psychiatric disorder, sleep is a symptom, either sleeping too little or sleeping too much,” she said. “Often you’ll hear somebody say they’re having ruminating thoughts, they’re obsessing, they’re thinking about the same things over and over again, and often that keeps them from falling asleep. “People who are anxious tend to stay in their head, because it helps them avoid their emotions. As long as they’re thinking, they feel they’re doing something to prevent something bad from happening. And that disconnects them from their surroundings,” she continued. “And a lot of people who have anxiety also have depression, and depression brings about changes in appetite, loss of concentration, memory problems and, in severe cases, even suicide. You become isolated … you lose your sense of pleasure in life. And anxiety, when it’s untreated, when somebody feels it’s out of control, that can bring on depression.” And the fact that Guadagnino managed to keep his anxiety a secret for so long doesn’t surprise Varma one bit; after all, millions suffer from similar disorders, and more often than not, their friends and family aren’t even aware of it. Or, if they are, they’re not sure how they can help. “All psychiatric conditions are medical conditions, so in the way people have diabetes or high blood pressure, that needs to be taken seriously, they have real biological circumstances, so does anxiety or depression,” she continued. “It’s a medical disorder, and people really think it’s a mood, a phase that you’re in, a funk that you’re in, and you can just snap out of it. You can’t. Anxiety disorders are really an umbrella, and there’s seven or eight major categories that fall under that. People who have it are integrated amongst us … there are plenty of people that you’re working with that you don’t realize have it, because they seem so functional. And having seen previous episodes, I wouldn’t have realized [Guadagnino had a disorder] until he came forward.” Varma added that there are a variety of treatments available to those battling anxiety disorders — everything from psychotherapy to medications like Zoloft or Prozac — but the key is getting those with conditions to admit they need help. That’s always been the biggest battle, though now that Guadagnino has gone public, perhaps those like him will follow suit. “It’s really important to let people know that there’s no stigma in this,” Varma said. “There are millions of people suffering from this, and it’s treatable.” For continuing “Jersey Shore” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s Remote Control blog. Jersey Shore High Five: Vinny Leaves?!

Plus: Pauly gets burned … and robbed. By Jim Cantiello Vinny on the “Jersey Shore” on Thursday night Photo: MTV Thursday night’s “Jersey Shore” brought back season-one hookups and introduced a new kleptomaniac, while Pauly’s “GTL” game is all out of whack thanks to a gnarly tanning-bed sunburn. Plus, Vinny’s anxiety disorder caught up with him and the fan favorite moved out of the house for some R&R. Oh no! Click on the embedded video below to catch my five favorite moments from this week’s “Jersey Shore.” 5. Jionni Gets Wet After the gang got caught in the rain, Snooki’s man Jionni needed some dry threads. What a guy the Situation is! Gives Jionni the clothes off his back and gives America the need for brain bleach yet again when he brings up the rumor that Snooki’s mouth and his “situation” are intimately familiar with each other. Woof. 4. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner At Karma, the girls got a little tipsy. Obvs. And Deena shared an adorable euphemism for getting her sex on. I wonder what Snooki calls it! So in other words, sex with Deena is like winning a trip to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory and sex with Snooki is like a flavorless, usually dry overcooked slab of meat. Noted. 3. Face Off DJ Pauly D said, “Screw SPF” and ended up S-O-L. That sound could only mean one thing: A “Jersey Shore” r-r-r-r-r-remix!!! 2. Sticky-Fingered Hookup Later, Pauly got down a DTF girl, but as soon as the smooshing ended, Pauly’s long national nightmare began … To add insult to injury, DTF girl turned out to be Winona Ryder with a touch of that crazy Israeli girl from season one. Because the next day? “Ding dong, here’s your chain that I stole. Yay, I’m back on television! Hi, mom, I’m a star!” God help us if she keeps coming back to find her missing shoes. I’m on to you, shady lady. 1. Vinny Leaves?! Ugh, feelings? Boring! Get drunk, f— a girl … I don’t watch this show for touchy-feely crap. Boooo! But seriously, poor Vinny says he’s having severe anxiety attacks. I know what will make him feel better. Vinny, smack Snooki in the face with your balls. Still depressed? Hmm, that usually works. I don’t know what’s gonna happen! Vinny actually left?!? So now who has the biggest penis in the house? This is important, “Jersey Shore”! Don’t leave us hangin’! Pun intended?
