Vinny Guadagnino to Guest Star on 90210

Jersey Shore‘s Vinny Guadagnino has signed on to guest star in an episode of the CW’s 90210, and incredibly, the reality star will not be playing himself! Yes, this is like a real acting role. Tells you a lot about 90210 , but hey, good for him. Guadagnino will reportedly play a “celebrity” involved in a high-stakes poker game with Liam (Matt Lanter). Vinny shows off his serious side . Look for Vinny to appear during November sweeps. You know, when shows bring out the really big guns in an attempt to pull in ratings and big ad money. A little GTL and PFC can only help. The Situation to Abercrombie: Back Off, Dawgs!

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from Jersey Shore is back at war with Abercrombie & Fitch. This time, the feud is shirts he says blatantly use his name. If you recall, last month A&F publicly offered to pay Sitch NOT to wear their clothing, insinuating that he’s giving them a bad name and so on and so forth. He claimed he never received such an offer, however. But here’s the weird part: A&F has previously marketed t-shirts obviously inspired by Situation and Jersey Shore , such as “GTL Fitch” and another that reads “The Fitchuation.” Fed up over this and last month’s publicity stunt, Mike’s lawyers are saying enough is enough, demanding the company yank the t-shirts immediately. Sitch also believes his company MPS Entertainment owns the trademarks to such phrases and that A&F infringing on them. So they best pay up. The company has until Tuesday to respond. In the meantime, those fools had better not even think of coming up with anything FPC-related .

‘X Factor’ Will Be A Reality Show ‘On Steroids’

Creative director of Simon Cowell’s upcoming competition series tells MTV News it will be ‘like the VMAs every week.’ By Jocelyn Vena Brian Friedman Photo: MTV News Fans have been wondering for months now what to expect when Simon Cowell’s Stateside interpretation of “The X Factor” starts up on September 21. According to the Fox show’s creative director, Brian Friedman, it’s going to be … big. “Basically ‘The X Factor’ in the U.S. is every reality show you’ve [ever] seen on steroids,” he told MTV News when we caught up with him on the 2011 VMA black carpet. “It is like the VMAs every week.” Friedman — a veteran choreographer who has worked with a number of pop stars, most notably Britney Spears — has a history with “The X Factor” franchise. He not only hosted the British version for some time, but he also served as its creative director. The Fox show will step up its game week after week to ensure that it’s all about going big or going home, Friedman promised. “The performances that we do on there are boundless; there are no boundaries,” he continued. “We don’t stand inside a box. There is no right or wrong. Every rule you could possibly break in TV, [we do]. So expect to be wowed every week.” Friedman joins host Steve Jones , as well as the judges: Cowell and his former “American Idol” co-star Paula Abdul , record executive L.A. Reid and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger “American Idol” has always had scratch-your-head-type contestants, and earlier this year Cowell confessed that he hoped to keep that spirit alive on his new show. “I love unusual people. I always say, you’ve got to embrace the madness,” Cowell laughed. “I like that we’re going to be very open-minded. I think we’re going to have good enough people on this panel that we’re not gonna miss out on anyone who’s got potential.” Will you be watching “The X Factor” when it premieres this month? ‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Laughs Off Ronnie Vs. Situation Brawl

‘At the time it was pretty serious; now it’s hilarious to watch,’ Vinny admits to MTV News of Sunday’s pre-VMA episode. By Jocelyn Vena Pauly D Photo: MTV News Just before last Sunday’s VMAs, “Jersey Shore” viewers saw some drama go down in the house. Specifically, Ronnie and the Situation , who are supposed to be living abroad experiencing the best of Italian culture , got into a heated fight over Ron and Sammi’s on-again, off-again relationship. The fight quickly escalated, and before long, the Sitch had slammed his own head into a wall and landed himself in the hospital. It was a decidedly real moment for MTV viewers, but the “Jersey Shore” cast said watching those events play out on the small screen left them with mixed emotions. “At the time it was pretty serious; now it’s hilarious to watch,” Vinny admitted to MTV News on the VMA black carpet. So, does the Situation feel the same way? “He thinks it’s pretty funny too,” Vinny told us. “They get over it pretty quickly; boys move on.” For DJ Pauly D, who typically tries to steer clear of all the hoopla that goes down between his roommates, watching the fight again on TV was actually entertaining. “It’s fun! I love watching it,” he said. “You want to know what’s crazy? … I watch it, too, ’cause I like to stay away from the drama, so I like to watch the drama [on TV].” The guys’ pal Deena pointed out that the fighting and the drama is only one slice of life for the “Shore” crew. “It just brings back a lot of the feelings. The fight was insane and really made you realize even though we have ups and downs, we really care about one another,” she said. Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV! Lady Gaga on Britney Spears: So F*%king HOT!

Hey, Lady Gaga is just calling it like she sees it. Or at least like Jo Calderone, her male alter ego who performed at the MTV VMAs last night, sees it. Jo put on quite the show on stage, but also in the press room, where he weighed in with some, um, interesting remarks about Britney Spears. Asked if he would hook up with Britney, Calderone said this … “Well, maybe if she wants to, you know what I’m saying … She is f–king hot. Britney’s f–king hot. I don’t know. Gaga is my girl, but Britney’s f–king hot – this is f–king Britney Spears! Didn’t you jerk off to Britney when you were a kid?” Okay then. As for who the heck Jo Calderone – an anagram of “Alejandro” – thinks he is and where he came from, the drag version of Gaga had this to say: “I am from Jersey,” he said. “My family is from Palermo, Sicily. I’m not a singer or a model or an actor or anything. I’m just some guy.” But don’t call him a “guido.” He wasn’t happy when someone did. Perhaps he’s not a fan of Jersey Shore , where that’s a compliment? “I’m not a f–king guido!” Jo snarled. “What? You don’t like Italians? What the f–k is the matter with you? I am just a guy, you know.” “I just wanted to show my girl how much I love her. That’s all.” Jo said that Lady Gaga asked him to represent her at the VMAs. The 25-year-old Born This Way singer tweeted this morning, “To win 2VMAs, Best Video with a Message + Best Female Video for Born This Way means the world. I have never believed in a work so much.” We think it was Gaga. Apparently you never can tell. [Photo: WENN.com]

JWoWW’s Breasts Are Awesome

I can’t believe I’m saying this about someone from the Jersey Shore , I must have hit a new low, but JWoWW is looking pretty damn sexy in these shots. Here she is at some party or something, with her awesome fake breasts stuffed into a tight little dress. I’m impressed. I can do without the freakshow dude ruining the shots, but I like what she’s done up top. She’s had to have had some work done on that busted face of hers, she looks good, not that I’m actually looking at her face.

VMA House Artist Jessie J Takes MTV Quiz

Singer, who has a broken foot, says she’s ‘still going to wild out’ at Sunday night’s Video Music Awards. By Kelley L. Carter Jessie J Photo: MTV News Oops! We wouldn’t let her do it again. British singer Jessie J took part in our MTV Video Music Awards mock trivia game, and she messed up the answer to our initial question of what song Britney Spears sang during her debut performance. She guessed “Oops! … I Did It Again.” Wrong answer. The right answer, of course, was “Baby … One More Time.” “Oh! That was obvious!” she exclaimed. “Shall we do it again, and I can get it right?” Nope, not this time, Jessie! She also missed our question about how many Video Music Awards nominations Katy Perry has this year, and when asked who the next most-nominated artist was, she guessed: “Lil Wayne? Beyonc

After flying to L.A. for the VMAs, the cast shares how they would have endured the storm’s charge through New Jersey. By Eric Ditzian Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino Photo: MTV News “We’ve warned the public,” New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced on Saturday as Hurricane Irene shut down most of the East Coast, “and now we have to deal with Mother Nature.” That’s when the cast of the “Jersey Shore” took out their grenade whistle and declared: So long, ladies! The storm whipped through the Tri-State area early Sunday morning (August 28), leaving thousands in New Jersey and Long Island without power, and causing dangerous floods in the Garden State. But housemates Snooki, Vinny, Deena and Sammi were safe and dry, having sauntered aboard a private jet and zipped away from the tri-state area and toward Los Angeles for the VMAs , pausing only for Vinny to tweet a picture of himself at the controls of the aircraft. “I was flying the plane, but that was on the ground. I was just messing around in the cockpit,” he told us alongside his castmates a few hours after touching down in La La Land. “Being on a private jet, it’s not that bad — except it didn’t have wi-fi. Could you believe it?” Pauly couldn’t, turning to his pal and declaring, “You’ve changed, bro! When your private jet doesn’t have wi-fi and you gotta complain about it — Vinny problems!” Then again, they haven’t changed much at all. Their suggestions for hurricane preparedness included battery-powered hairdryers, a healthy dose of GTL, and the suggestion, “If you’re by the water, just be more not by the water.” Luckily for them (and, perhaps, their old Jersey stomping grounds), the reality stars were far from the hurricane’s path. Because if they were in the Heights, despite Irene’s wrath, the “Shore” kids would be staging one heck of a bash. “We’d have a lights-out party,” Pauly said. “You party for the whole duration,” Added Ronnie, “Hey, a bottle of Ron-ron juice, let’s go!” The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday from Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8.
