Selena Gomez: Bigger Than Justin Bieber?!?

Selena Gomez is more popular than Justin Bieber these days. Unlike the guilt of Casey Anthony , this is a fact. Gomez has jumped past her boyfriend to claim the number-one spot on Billboard’s Social 50 list, a ranking that considers the “most active artists on the world’s leading social networking sites… using a formula blending weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with weekly artist page views and weekly song plays,” according to the company behind it. Bieber does come in at number-two on the list, at least. Let’s take a look at the top five, shall we? Selena Gomez Justin Bieber Michael Jackson Lady Gaga Shakira Perhaps Selena owes Justin a comforting foot massage now. No matter which order they are in, though, it’s clear: this couple owns the Internet. [Photo: WENN.com]

Kristen Stewart on Casey Anthony Comparisons: Please Stop!

No matter where you stand on the Casey Anthony verdict , this much is certain: there’s a much better chance this Florida native is a murderer than Kristen Stewart. Therefore, it’s easy to understand where the Twilight Saga star is coming from when she says: please, please stop comparing me to Anthony. A source tells Us Weekly that Stewart is sick of the chatter over whether or not she’ll portray Anthony in the inevitable movie about that likely killer’s life. “Her people are really annoyed about the Casey Anthony comparisons,” says the insider, who acknowledges the physical resemblance. “Kristen wants that talk to blow over soon because it looks really bad.” Is there any chance Stewart would take the role? Any chance at all? Heck no, says the mole. “She would never for no amount of money portray that girl. It’s grossing her out. All those entertainment shows are doing polls and what not and her people just want it to stop!” [Photos: WENN.com]

The Situation On Ex-Manager’s Lawsuit: Please!

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is hitting back publicly at claims made by his former manager, which filed a $1 million lawsuit against him Friday. Contrary to Gotham Management’s claim that Sitch got famous because they repped him, the Jersey Shore star says they don’t deserve credit. Richard Wolfe, Mike’s lawyer, says Gotham’s suit “is filled with falsities ,” and that the “did MORE HARM than good to Michael and his career.” The one thing everyone agrees on? Mike is really famous! Gotham claims in its lawsuit that it made The Situation a star, which is the basis for the seven-figure compensation it’s seeking to collect. Wolfe, however, says it’s Mike’s brother, Marc Sorrentino, who “works tirelessly to build the brand that is Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino.” The Sitch, who reportedly bailed on Jersey Shore this week, and who fired Gotham in May, will pay what is owed but not a dime more. As for his status on Jersey Shore , it’s far from clear. Reports say he got into quarrel during filming, ripped off his mic and peaced out. A week prior, Vinny Guadagnino did virtually the same thing. [Photo: WENN.com]

The Situation: Sued By Managers For $1 Million

Quite a day for Mike Sorrentino news. First, The Situation left Jersey Shore for unknown reasons, with no return in sight. Now his managers have just filed a $1 million lawsuit, alleging that they were wrongfully dumped after turning a complete nobody into a megastar. Gotham NYC Entertainment filed the suit today, claiming Sitch dumped them back in May “due to lack of performance,” but legally could not. According to the lawsuit, he was contractually required to give Gotham 30 days notice and a chance to correct any issues . Gotham claims it got neither. Therefore, they say, Sorrentino is in breach of contract . Having managed Situation since the 2009 premiere of Jersey Shore , Gotham claims it not only “discovered” the Staten Island product, but transformed “his career from relative obscurity to become an international celebrity.” Gotham is suing for damages in excess of $1 million. No comment yet from the reality star’s camp, which recently settled a legal dispute – with his own dad . It’s also unclear why he bolted the Shore house or whether he’ll return. We’ll have to stay tuned on both fronts … [Photo: WENN.com]

Can’t Love Every Cat: A Tribute to Debbie the Online Dater

We haven’t seen a viral video about cats this funny since … the spoof upon which this spoof is based. Or Mylo the rapping cat , he was good too. Anyway, somebody took the hilarious, eHarmony video profile of Debbie, the crazy cat loving girl, and made an auto-tuned dance remix out of it. In addition to a beat that will BLOW THE ROOF off the club, it also poses an existential dilemma: We just can’t love every cat. What are we to do?! The video is actually an ad for Songify , the new free Gregory Brothers iPhone app from Khush. As for Debbie, no word if she’s still single … Can’t Hug Every Cat – eHarmony Girl Tribute

Report: The Situation Walks Off Jersey Shore Set

The wheels may be coming off the Jersey Shore money train. Last week, Vinny Guadagnino peaced out abruptly in the middle of filming, walking out of the house, heading home to Staten Island and not coming back. Now reports say The Situation has done the same. Sources say Sitch (real name Mike Sorrentino) abandoned his costars and decided to head home early: “Mike walked off the show. He’s so over the whole thing … I don’t think he’s coming back. Everyone in the house is so unhappy.” The cast returned from Italy to begin filming Season 5 of Jersey Shore where it all began in the familiar confines of a Seaside Heights, N.J. beach house. It’s unclear what sent The Situation and Vinny packing. Maybe a lack of break from filming between seasons is taking its toll? Something is amiss. What is the Jersey Shore without The Situation and Vinny? Something you would even watch? Are other cast members days away from bailing too? Stay tuned, and share your comments with us below … [Photo: WENN.com]

JWoWW’s Big Breasted Lingerie Pictures

Now that some plastic surgeon seems to have somewhat sorted out JWoWW’s busted up face, allegedly, I guess the folks over at Maxim thought it was safe to feature the Jersey Shore chick in her very own lingerie shoot. Why not? Those big breasts of hers were made for this kind of thing. No really, that’s exactly what fake breasts are designed for. What? Do you think they’re meant to be more appealing to nursing babies? Come on.

The Situation Settles Feud with Mr. The Situation

A simmering feud between Situations has been settled. Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino filed papers today to dismiss a lawsuit he had set in motion against his dad , Frank. Son had been angry that father had been blasting him the press and attempting to profit off his (hilarious) name. Frank has promised to avoid the same mistakes in the future, but he also places most of the blame on Robert Fletcher, a publishing agent who Frank claims was behind this video . Frank has taken down his anti-Situation website and writes in court documents : “I regret getting involved with Robert Fletcher and I am sorry that I participated, to the detriment of my son Michael.” Fletcher actually paid Mike $5,000 as part of this settlement. What a ridiculous… sorry, but it’s true… situation. [Photo: WENN.com]

Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts Talk ‘Larry Crowne,’ Friendship And MTV

‘I miss VJs,’ stars tell MTV News. By Kara Warner Tom Hanks Photo: MTV News Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts’ new movie, “Larry Crowne,” is, in a nutshell, about a middle-aged man who, after constantly being looked over for managerial promotions at work due to his lack of college degree, enrolls himself in his local community college, where he finds himself being taught by and falling in love with the lovely Mercedes Tainot (Roberts). When MTV News caught up with Hanks and Roberts at the press day for the film, we attempted to discuss Hanks’ return to the director’s chair after a 15-year hiatus (the last film he helmed was 1996’s “That Thing You Do!”), but first the two superstars took a moment to talk about us. “I miss VJs,” Roberts lamented of MTV’s onetime team of on-camera personalities. “I miss VJs, too,” Hanks agreed. “I miss, you know, ‘The Rock Hour!’ ” he added, likely meaning “120 Minutes,” hosted by Matt Pinfield, which has been resurrected over at MTV2. “What’s on MTV now?” Roberts asked. “Pregnant teenagers,” quipped Hanks. Hanks and Roberts then briefly discussed MTV’s current slate of programs, citing “The Real World,” “Jersey Shore” and “16 and Pregnant,” but admitted only to hearing stories about them, not to having watched any of those shows themselves. Once we were able to bring the focus to the topic at hand, we asked Hanks about his return to the director’s chair, and what inspired him to take on so many roles for this film — he directed, acted in, co-wrote and produced “Crowne.” “Somewhere I think in 2009 a switch just goes off in my head that goes, ‘I really want to direct this,’ ” he recalled, equating his passion for the project to a fever he had to have cooked out of him. “It takes you out of the marketplace for a long time, which is fine. I have a lot of things going on, but it ends up being like this personal letter that you’re writing to your mom where you want it to be right, you want it to be authentic, you want it to actually reflect who you are and where you are at this point, and so that’s why you end up directing a movie and being in it.” For Roberts, signing on to the film was mostly about working with her good friend. She and Hanks worked together once before in “Charlie Wilson’s War,” which, according to Roberts, cemented their friendship for life. “I knew I had a friend for the rest of my life,” she said, recalling one specific day on the “Wilson’s War” set that involved Hanks, Roberts and some joke with a little box. “He [makes] me want to live a longer life,” she gushed. “What a great answer!” Hanks said with a big smile. “It’s true, I love Tom. It’s kind of retarded for us sitting here trying to be professionals because we’re friends,” she said. “I love his wife, I love his kids.” “This is what we’d be doing if we were sitting around or having lunch,” Hanks added, speaking to the pair’s easy rapport. “We’ll laugh for three hours together.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Larry Crowne.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
