The Duggar family has come under some very heavy scrutiny in recent months, ever since the Josh Duggar sex scandal broke online. Compared to those allegations, everything else is downright tame by comparison … although they continue to raise (lower?) the bar. In August 2015, it was revealed that Josh used multiple dating sites to cheat on Anna Duggar, making him an adulterer an a molester. Given that he devoted the bulk of his personal and professional life to criticizing others' sexuality, it's downright astonishing, honestly. While Josh has set the global gold standard for hypocrisy, the former 19 Kids & Counting stars have been ruffling feathers for years. Let's take a look back at the Duggars' most notable scandals … 1. The Duggars have officially abandoned their attempt to bury the ugly details of the Josh Duggar molestation scandal . Instead, they’re now trying to cash in on it. First, the family announced its involvement in Breaking the Silence, a film about sex abuse victims starring Jill and Jessa Duggar . Now, the Duggars are reportedly hoping to return to television full-time with a series in which Michelle, Jim Bob, and their adult children would counsel victims of rape, molestation and incest. Insiders say that while all of the adult members of the family would be involved with the show, Jim Bob and Michelle would be doing the majority of the counseling. “They know they have to at least pretend to be sorry about what happened,” one source tells Star magazine. “Now they want a spin-off where Jim Bob and Michelle would give advice to abuse victims — even though they’re still in denial about their culpability in Josh’s crimes.” Thus far, no networks have expressed interest in the show. The insider says the Duggars are “kidding themselves” if they think TLC will give them another shot. Many execs who are no doubt enticed by the built-in audience that accompanies the Duggars wherever they go will likely be scared off by the fact that the new show sounds like a desperate, insincere cash grab. Not only did Jim Bob and Michelle attempt to downplay Josh’s crimes during their interview with Megyn Kelly, it now seems as though the family is hard up for cash. The Duggars have even taken asking fans for donations on a page promoting their YouTube channel. All of this seems to suggest that the Duggars are still oblivious to the trauma suffered by victims of childhood sexual abuse – but are acutely aware of their own money troubles.

Pregnant 19 Kids & Counting star Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald are really, really excited for fans to guess their baby’s gender. Are they having a boy or a girl?! Jessa Duggar, Ben Seewald Baby Gender Contest Did you actually think they would tell you in this video? You weren’t alone, but instead, this looks like another 30-second attempt to stay relevant. No, this is not an actual announcement of the gender, just a reminder that Jessa is growing a baby inside her and they are aware of the gender. Lame, yes. But hey, at least people can vote on what you think the gender of #BabySeewald could be. If you’re right, you get absolutely nothing. Bottom line, the Duggars are clinging to whatever attention they can get, even if the Josh Duggar molestation scandal forever tarnished their brand. They’ll probably never be on TV again – save for the TLC sexual abuse special they hope will rebuild their image – but there is always the Internet. Not that they’re pro-Internet most of the time. Anything that serves as a breeding ground for sensual and worldly content is a big no-no in Duggarland. It’s a fine line, and paradoxical, since the world wide web helped them gain so many fans over the years, while also aiding in their recent downfall. One thing we can all agree on though? Jessa Duggar Sounds Off on Cecil the Lion, Abortion

In the wake of the Josh Duggar sexual abuse scandal , Jessa Duggar defended her older brother in rather bizarre fashion. She admitted that Josh had touched her inappropriately, but she also stated that he was a “sly” molester  who groped his sisters in such a way that they were unaware that they were being abused. While that may be Jessa’s most controversial remark to date, anyone who follows the 22-year-old expectant mother on social media knows that she’s never been one to worry about pissing off her critics. Take Jessa’s latest tweet, for example: The cartoon, of course, is mocking the recent controversy over the killing of Cecil the lion . Clearly, Jessa is suggesting that instead of attacking Walter Palmer, the world should be focused on more important issues, such as reproductive rights. (Like the rest of her family, Jessa is vehemently pro-life and once compared abortion to the Holocaust on Instagram.) We like to keep things light and gossipy around here, so we won’t get into the abortion debate, but we will take issue with Jessa’s argument that concern over the killing of protected animals for sport somehow distracts from more pressing matters. You could easily go to ESPN’s website and comment, “Who cares that the Yankees play the Red Sox tonight?! ISIS is on the move!” but doing so would demonstrate a fundamental lack of understanding of human beings’ ability to care about more than one thing at a time. Like, we could say, “Jessa shouldn’t you be spending less time tweeting and more time helping your husband find a real job now that your family’s reality show has been canceled ?” but that would be dumb, because there’s clearly enough time in the day to do both. Seriously, though, we hope Ben’s looking for a legit gig that can support a family, because that baby is on its way, and it doesn’t  like the Duggars will be back on TV any time soon. Jill and Jessa Duggar: 19 Kids & Counting Spinoff Shot Down For Surprising Reason

The oft-discussed Jill and Jessa Duggar spinoff of 19 Kids and Counting was shot down, as we know, but for a most surprising reason. Last week’s news that TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting was not surprising, given the scandal that had left it in limbo for two months. Josh Duggar molested five underage girls a decade ago. Four of the victims were his own sisters. This story only came to light in May. From then on, the Duggars’ fall was as abrupt as it was ugly. Given the religious family’s strong views on sexuality, Josh’s actions and his family’s efforts to hide them left a bad taste with many fans. Moreover, patriarch Jim Bob – always seen as an upstanding figure, if a polarizing one – came under fire for mishandling the situation. Nevertheless, there was talk that the TV show would shift from Jim Bob’s family to his married adult daughters Jill and Jessa Duggar. Given that this was sort of happening anyway, with the Duggar daughters getting more and more screen time, spinoff chatter began. At TLC, a Jill and Jessa spinoff was indeed discussed during the “near-constant” and “intense” conversations about the show’s future. A source who has worked closely with the family says many people loved the idea, but one key figure in particular was not on board. None other than Jim Bob Duggar was not a fan of the Jill and Jessa spin-off idea, and his implicit objection effectively left it DOA. “He absolutely wanted to be back on TV and was never thrilled about the show suddenly shifting focus,” the source says of Jim Bob. The shocking revelation comes amid talk that Jim Bob Duggar is planning the show’s return already via a multi-pronged PR offensive. Guess he wasn’t ready to cede the spotlight to his offspring? Perhaps sensing the unlikelihood of an imminent spinoff, Jill and husband Derick took their newborn baby son to Central America. “And with that, one half of any potential new show was gone,” the source adds, noting that it officially died with their mission trip. As for the pregnant Jessa, she “is clearly [one of the stars] in the family: beautiful, smart, strong-willed,” says the insider. However: “She may be slightly more free-spirited than your average Duggar, but she is firmly, centrally a part of the family , as is her husband.” Even though their series has been canceled and there are no confirmed spin-offs on the horizon, the Duggars aren’t going away. We know they will return to the network that made them stars at least once in the near future as part of a documentary feature. “They’re happy to show that this did not scar them permanently,” the source says of the TLC special about child abuse survivors. It’s looking more and more as if  Khloe Kardashian is dating James Harden . Following rumors of these celebrities getting it on, Khloe and Harden were spotted on a date in Las Vegas on Saturday night (footage below), getting all close and cozy before attending a Chris Brown concert together. But while some folks may be applauding Khloe for finally moving on from Lamar Odom, Trina is not among these folks. Khloe Kardashian and James Harden: Spotted in Vegas! In a single released last September, the rapper blasted Kardashian as a bitch because Khloe started dating French Montana at the same time Montana was living with Trina. And now Trina is back at it again. By coincidence (we assume it’s a coincidence), the artist also previously dated Harden, giving her some easy ammunition against Kardashian in a Tweet Trina sent out over the weekend. “Sloppy seconds….” Trina wrote, adding a vomit emoji to the end of her message. “Trina thinks it is funny that Khloe was hanging out with James Harden, another of her exes,” an insider tells Us Weekly, though this source cautions: “Khloe and James are not officially dating and are just friends hooking up.” We somehow doubt that makes things any better from Trina’s point of view. Kim Kardashian: PISSED About Latest Nude Photos!

Even though nude photos of Kim Kardashian are pretty much everywhere on the Internet, the reality star star still likes to exercise control over where and when she shows off her bits. So it makes sense that Kim is reportedly royally pissed about photos obtained by some paparazzi who allegedly snapped some naked pics of her while she was skinny-dipping in her backyard pool. Sources say the paps – who were working for LA-based photo agency X17 – flew over the Kardashian-Wests’ house in Hidden Hills, CA and took photos from a helicopter. Obviously, that’s not kosher from a legal standpoint, and insiders say X17 violated the law a second time when they attempted to sell the pics to a number of tabloids and websites. Earlier today, Kim’s high-powered attorney Marty Singer fired off a letter to the company, and the pics were removed from the X17 website moments ago. That may be too little, too late to save them legal action, however, as insiders say Kim is furious  over the violation of her privacy. She’s reportedly told friends that the situation is particularly infuriating, as she wasn’t even naked in the photos, but was actually wearing a blue bikini. Obviously, Kim got famous from a sex tape , and she’s posed nude for dozens of magazines and photographers over the years, so it may not seem like some candid bikini pics would be such a big deal. However, it’s important to remember that the paparazzi are bound by strict laws when it comes to photographing people on private property. In Kim’s case, they’re not only stealing photos; they’re threatening her livelihood, as well. Sure,  Kim shows off her boobs on an almost daily basis, but as they say, when you’re good at something, never do it for free.

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard Leave U.S. For Missionary Work: See the Farewell Pic!

Well, that was fast. Jill Duggar, her husband Derick Dillard, and their baby son, Israel David, boarded a plane on Sunday, taking them to their new home abroad. Jill’s younger sister Jessa Duggar posted a sweet photo via Instagram of the threesome heading off for missionary work in parts unknown … “So excited for @jillmdillard & @derickdillard!” Jessa captioned the pic. “They’ve been praying about and working towards this transition.” The parents of baby Israel Dillard are “excited to finally be heading to the mission field! Please continue to pray for them,” Jessa adds. “Be sure to check out their blog at www.dillardfamily (dot) com. ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’ Mark 16:15.” Nice plug there, Jess. The duo announced their intention to travel to an undisclosed location for a lengthy mission trip late last month via their personal blog. As we also reported, Jill and Derick founded their own ministry , or at least filed the necessary documents to make that their occupation. The couple wrote: “It has always been our goal that Jesus Christ might be glorified as we serve others through family ministry, by whatever means that might be.” “We have a deep love and care for all of the world and [a passion for all] nations, as many have even seen in the early stages of our relationship.” “Our hope is that all peoples of the world would come to repentance and put their hope in the Lord, Jesus Christ.” The family of three did not note how long they would be gone, or where, but said it would be “longer than the typical short-term mission trip.” Who knew the photo of Duggar kissing Dillard with their baby boy looking on turned out to be their kiss goodbye … to America at least. Their departure comes after a period of turmoil for the 19 Kids and Counting stars after the Josh Duggar molestation scandal broke. Jill and Jessa both came forward as victims of Josh when he was a teenager; two other sisters and one babysitter were also molested. Jessica Castro: Married at First Sight Star Fears Husband Ryan De Nino Will KILL HER!

Jessica Castro of the hit show Married at First Sight is in the middle of a divorce from husband Ryan De Nino, who she says threatened to kill her. Safe to say it’s not working out. Castron filed for a restraining order amid safety concerns after meeting – and marrying – De Nino on the reality show slash social experiment. Her attorney Marc Rapaport says his client is “terrified for her life.” According to the legal documents, Ryan has threatened twice to kill her. Castro, a 30-year-old law firm receptionist, and De Nino, a 29-year-old business consultant, appeared on Season 2. It started out so well. After getting married (at first sight, the show is self-explanatory) in December, they proceeded to live together for several weeks, on camera. The show’s matchmakers have produced some solid marriages, but this wasn’t one of them. They broke up in February, and not amicably. Castro says she caught De Nino cheating on Valentine’s Day, and things unraveled epically from then on, to a downright disturbing degree. According to Castro, he raved, “I will break you into f–king pieces. I will break your dad into pieces. I will make your whole family disappear.” And, for good measure, “your f–king dog-ass sister’s boyfriend.” Then, while taping the Married at First Sight reunion show, De Nino allegedly made a Robert Durst “killed them all” style hot mic confession. According to the petition, De Nino was caught on tape saying, “She’s f–king dead. When I get back to Brooklyn, she’s f–king dead, this girl.” Castro’s attorney added that the nature of the threat was quite “disturbing” in terms of the language chosen as well as the “tone of his voice.” The attorney stated that currently their focus is to keep Castro and her family safe. Kinetic Content, the production company of the show, released a statement to People saying they don’t know the details and cannot comment. “What we can say is that, unfortunately, couples on the show can go through real divorces, and divorce can be difficult,” the statement said. It continued that Married at First Sight provides the “highest hopes” and “best of intentions” for the couples, and major background checks. You can’t get on the show without extensive psychological testing and third party background investigations, the production company says. De Nino must be really good at hiding his inner sociopath.
