Josh Duggar may have just scored a major victory in his legal battle against Danica Dillon – or he mught be on the verge of being exposed as a liar, as well as a cheater. As we’ve previously reported, Duggar is being sued by Dillon for allegedly manhandling and verbally abusing the former adult film star after paying her for sex. Duggar says he’s never even met Dillon , and he insists that she’s merely attempting to extort him. Last week, Josh’s lawyers petitioned the court to make Dillon prove that Duggar assaulted her . Now, according to legal documents obtained by Radar Online , Josh’s attorneys have essentially gotten their wish – but there’s a good chance that their request could backfire. Ultimately, the move boils down to a high-stakes gamble by Josh’s legal team. If Danica can’t provide the proof the judge is looking for, the case will be thrown out. The rapper formerly known as Mos Def was arrested in South Africa after trying to leave the country on a “world passport.” Unfortunately for Mos, who now goes by Yasiin Bey, this world passport thing was not recognized by authorities. As a result of these actions, Bey is now banned from South Africa for five years and has two weeks to leave the country. However, a spokesman for Bey told OkayAfrica that the world passport is a legitimate document and that the allegations lodged against him are bogus. He issued a statement that read: “From what I’ve read their allegations are wrong. He attempted to leave the country for a professional commitment and was denied the ability to board an airplane after providing his World Passport. “It’s issued by the World Service —in support of the UN Declaration of Human Rights. “His understanding is that the South African government has previously accepted the World Passport to enter the country and to provide visas as recently as August.” Although Bey has a U.S. passport, he chose not to use it for social and political reasons. “He considers himself a world citizen and wanted to to use his World Passport in support of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.” Bey was trying to board a plane to travel to Ethiopia to perform in the Selam Music Festival. The entertainer, who was popular in the 90s and appeared in films like The Italian Job and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy , entered the country on an American passport in 2013 and overstayed his visitor’s permit in 2014.

If not, allow us to give you a very brief, Wisconsin-accent-free rundown of the salient facts: A Manitowoc County, WI man named Steven Avery was falsely convicted of rape in 1985, and served 18 years in prison before being exonerated by DNA evidence. Avery sued the county for $36 million, but was arrested for the murder of a 25-year-old woman named Theresa Halbach before he was able to see his civil case through. Now, Avery is serving a life sentence behind bars, and both his lawyers and the wildly popular Netflix documentary series still maintain that he's the victim of an elaborate frame-up executed by vengeful law enforcement officials. There's ample reason to believe that Avery was framed , or at least convicted by a biased jury , but as with all conspiracy theories, the arguments in his favor have gotten stranger and stranger as the years have passed by. For example, check out the latest claim from Avery's own mother, who says that her son can't be guilty of murdering Theresa Halbach – because Theresa Halbach is still alive. To be fair, Avery's mother is elderly, and even if Steven didn't kill Halbach, many people (including Steven) believe that one of her other sons did . So it's not hard to see why Mrs. Avery would be a proponent of the unlikely theory that Theresa went into hiding just to screw some guy over. Via its panel discussion this morning at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in California, Fox announced that it has picked up Empire for a third season. Considering it was just nominated for Best Drama at the Golden Globe Awards… …. Considering Taraji P. Henson actually won a Golden Globe for Best Actress… ….
