Madonna Goes Cheerleader Chic In New Music Video

‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ ‘ tease will air on ‘American Idol’ this Thursday, followed by full-length premiere on Friday. By Jocelyn Vena Madonna Photo: Jon Furniss/ WireImage Madonna teased her new music video last week with a simple phrase: pom-poms. Well, the Queen of Pop wasn’t lying. In a new blink-and-you’ll-miss-it clip from her “Give Me All Your Luvin’ ” video , Madonna is definitely getting her cheerleader on. The tease appears in an ad for this week’s “American Idol,” where a preview for the video will make its world debut ahead of the video’s proper Friday premiere. The Mega Force-directed video was shot in December and made headlines when Nicki Minaj tweeted that she and Madge shared a kiss on set. In a sea of quick-cut images from the fuller “first look,” Madonna dons all black (leather jacket, short shorts) while she hangs with rappers Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., who are wearing red and black cheerleader uniforms. Madge is also spotted hanging with football players in the same color uniforms. The debut of the video fittingly comes two days before Madonna plays in front of real cheerleaders and football players at the Super Bowl game on Sunday, where Nicki, M.I.A., Cee Lo Green and LMFAO are all rumored to be hitting the stage with her when the New England Patriots face off against the New York Giants in Indianapolis. This is going to be a big week for Madonna fans. On Friday, not only does the video for “Give Me” arrive, but the song also finally hits iTunes. Her movie “W.E.” also opens that day. “Give Me All Your Luvin’ ” is the lead single off her new album M.D.N.A. , which drops March 26. Related Artists Madonna

Michelle Williams Calls Heath Ledger Relationship ‘Cosmic’

‘My Week With Marilyn’ actress dons lingerie, talks Ledger in GQ . By Jocelyn Vena Michelle Williams in the February 2012 issue of GQ Photo: GQ Just days after winning her first Golden Globe for portraying blond bombshell Marilyn Monroe in “My Week With Marilyn,” the normally buttoned-up Michelle Williams is turning up her bombshell dial to a big “10” in the new issue of GQ. Gracing the pages in a platinum blond bob and leaving little to the imagination in lingerie, Williams opens up about her early days in Hollywood, her parents and her critically acclaimed work in “Marilyn.” And eventually, she talks about her late boyfriend Heath Ledger. “Our initial meeting, the circumstances of how we first met, were cosmic or something,” she said when asked what attracted them to one another while they were shooting “Brokeback Mountain.” After an on-again, off-again relationship and one child together, his 2008 death became headline news, and reporters and paparazzi soon intruded on her life. “It was making me crazy. I felt like I was going crazy. It was too much — trying to deal with what had happened and trying to deal with what was at our doorstep. I just felt trapped,” she said, later referencing their daughter, Matilda. “And it’s not just me — there’s somebody else who I’m trying to protect, and I can’t. I can’t make it stop, I can’t make it go away. Trying to find ways to explain it or shield her from it. It’s like you’re trying to go about your life, and make dinner…but the roof is off of your house, and the walls are falling down.” Williams and Ledger had been estranged at the time of his death, and when asked if she wonders if they would have ended up together, she said it’s “one of my favorite things to imagine.” After he died, Williams wondered if she should work again, eventually heading back to movie sets in films like “Marilyn,” “Blue Valentine” and the in-the-works “Oz: The Great and Powerful.” On Sunday night’s Globes, Williams thanked their 6-year-old daughter for supporting her bustling acting career.

Taylor Swift Talks Relationship ‘Red Flags’ In Vogue

Country star says next album is about ‘absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak.’ By Jocelyn Vena Taylor Swift on the February cover of Vogue After much speculation, Taylor Swift has nabbed the February cover of Vogue, donning a big-rimmed, beige hat, hippie-chic clothes and fringy bangs. The singer not only opens up about her love of fashion in the article, but also goes into depth about her plans for the future, including her dreams to star in more movies and just what she has in store for her next album, which — believe it or not — will be about boys. “There’s just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak,” she explained about the highly anticipated follow-up to 2010’s Speak Now. “And that will turn out to be what the next album is about. The only way that I can feel better about myself — pull myself out of that awful pain of losing someone — is writing songs about it to get some sort of clarity.” Swift, who says she’s currently happily single, goes on to say that she’s learned some of the major “red flags” in relationships, which include a guy who falls too fast without actually knowing her (“You can’t be in love with a Google search,” she said), a guy who can’t understand why she needs to have security, a guy who wants to “put her down” and a guy who needs too much privacy. While she’s learning more and more about dating, she’s also still trying to maneuver fame. Right now, she’s at the top of her game, but she knows that that can change at any time. “This is what I’ve wanted to do my whole life. It never freaks me out. Never. Ever,” she says. “But you know what does freak me out? When is the other shoe going to drop? I am so happy right now. So I am always living in fear. This can’t be real, right? This can’t really be my life. “The stakes are really high if you mess up, if you slack off and don’t make a good record, if you make mistakes based on the idea that you are larger than life and you can just coast,” she later says. “If you start thinking you’ve got it down, that’s when you run into trouble — either by getting complacent or becoming mouthy. And nobody likes that.” The article makes mention that Swift has been spending more time in L.A. looking for the right movie role. Currently she’s rumored to be playing Eponine in the A-list-filled big-screen adaptation of “Les Miserables.” “I fret about the future,” she explains. “What my next move should be. What the move after that should be. How I am going to sustain this. How do I evolve.” She let out a big sigh. “I get so ahead of myself. I’m like, ‘What am I going to be doing at 30?’ But there’s no way to know that! So it’s this endless, mind-boggling equation that you’ll never figure out. I overanalyze myself into being a big bag of worries.” Adele is the next rumored pop cover girl for the fashion magazine. The singer appeared on the cover of October’s Vogue U.K. What did you think about the February Vogue cover? Sound off below! Related Artists Taylor Swift

‘Sweet Valley High’ To Be A Musical, Diablo Cody Confirms

‘It’s going to blow people’s minds,’ screenwriter tells MTV News about the in-the-works adaptation. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Diablo Cody Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Diablo Cody explored the life of one particular “Young Adult” author in her screenplay for the Charlize Theron film. Next up, she herself is taking on the challenge of adapting a beloved young-adult franchise, “Sweet Valley High,” for the big screen. And while she’s knee-deep in work for the project, when MTV News caught up with the screenwriter at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on Thursday night in Los Angeles, she revealed one very juicy detail about the adaptation. “Oh my gosh! OK, so I am so excited about ‘Sweet Valley High.’ There’s original songs being written for it right now, which is the most exciting development. They’re amazing. They’re being written by these Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning songwriters from Broadway who are the best,” she gushed, confirming that the film will be a musical version of the novels. “Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt, who wrote [the Broadway show] ‘Next to Normal’; they’re amazing and I’m sorry, I could go on and on. But I’m very excited about ‘Sweet Valley High.’ It’s going to blow people’s minds. I haven’t really had the chance to talk about this yet, so it’s exciting.” The Francine Pascal novels (which debuted in 1983) follow the lives of twin teenagers, Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, who live in Sweet Valley, California. The series is full of puppy love, teen angst and the kind of drama and comedy that keeps people tuning into the CW and ABC Family week after week. If you’ve never read the books before, Cody assures you that you can still love the movie. “It [has] a lot of familiar ’80s awesomeness for fans of the series, and if you’ve never heard of ‘Sweet Valley High’ you will want to,” she said, noting that casting plans are still to be determined. “Obviously I will be playing the twins. Old-fashioned ’60s-style split screen,” she joked. Madonna Praises Lady Gaga’s ‘Rawness’

Queen of Pop opens up about the Mother Monster on ‘The Graham Norton Show.’ By Jocelyn Vena Madonna Photo: Jon Furniss/ WireImage Here in the States, Madonna sat down with ABC News and had some interesting comments about Lady Gaga. In another interview , on Friday’s (January 13) “The Graham Norton Show,” the singer seemed to take the high road and likened her early days of hustling in New York City to Gaga ‘s beginnings. “When I first saw her, I saw her performing at a very small club in Manhattan a couple of years ago, maybe it was like three years ago,” she said. “I was actually really impressed by her. I thought she was really cool and she did remind me of me back in the day. I liked her rawness and there was something fresh about there and ballsy, and when she spoke to the audience, she sounded like she had a similar sense of humor to me, quite ironic, and I liked her. So I do think she is very talented.” That was really the end of the subject during their chat, other than when Madonna teased the British talk-show host about naming his dog after her. However, when he said his other dog was named Bailey, she quipped, “Not Gaga?” Some of that sentiment was mirrored in Madge’s ABC interview, the rest of which airs on Friday’s night’s 20/20 . While she did call Gaga’s “Born This Way” song “reductive” when asked about comparisons to her own “Express Yourself,” she went on to say that she sees a lot of her own work in Gaga’s. “I certainly think she references me a lot in her work. And sometimes I think it’s amusing and flattering and well-done,” she said, later adding that she thinks Gaga is “a very talented artist” and that she’s making a “statement about taking something that was in the zeitgeist, you know, 20 years ago and turning it inside out and reinterpreting it.” Madonna is currently making the rounds promoting her next album, M.D.N.A., as well as her film “W.E.” What do you think of Madonna’s Gaga thoughts? By Jocelyn Vena Jeremy Renner Photo: Getty Images “Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol” star Jeremy Renner is just fine. Despite previous reports, the actor’s rep confirmed to MTV News that he was not injured in a bar fight in Thailand. “Jeremy was there [but] was not involved,” a rep for the actor told MTV News. “When a fight broke out, he exited [and] was not injured.” The Phuket Gazette reports that Renner had been hanging out at the Rachada Pub in Phuket Town when six employees stabbed and injured two local men, Sri Panwa Resort General Manager Vorasit Issara and Maj Gen Chonasit, early Wednesday. The newspaper further reports that Renner had been in their company, along with Vorasit’s driver, Noppadon Preechawai, and several other friends. The Gazette originally reported that Renner had been injured in the scuffle. Prior to arriving at Rachada Pub, the group had also been spotted at two other local hotspots, KorTorMor Pub and another club near Royal Phuket City Hotel. The six men are currently being held by local authorities and addressed the media at a press conference on Thursday. The pub where the incident occurred has since been shut down for six months because it violated a local curfew. Renner has been in Manila, Philippines filming “The Bourne Legacy,” the actor’s rep said. He recently opened up to MTV News about filming “Legacy” and filling in the spot left vacant by the franchise’s longtime star, Matt Damon. “He’s always been so complimentary to me from the moment I met him. Justin Bieber Opens Up About Kissing Selena Gomez

Pop star donated $100,000 to Las Vegas elementary school and performed for students. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” Photo: the ellen degeneres show Justin Bieber was enlisted by Ellen DeGeneres to help give back to Whitney Elementary, a Las Vegas school that helps underprivileged children. And in addition to donating $100,000 and $100,000 worth of toys, the always-charitable singer performed for the room full of Beliebers. Bieber even answered some burning questions about his hair, his favorite color and his rise to fame. But, perhaps it was his response about his lady love, Selena Gomez, that had the room most giggly. “What do me and Selena do on the weekends?” he pondered to the room full of school kids. “We go to the movies. And we kiss,” he whispered, later laughing, “No, we don’t do that.” He answered a number of other of the kids’ inquiries in a rather quick-fire round. “Do I miss home? Yes, very much,” he said. “Cause I’m always traveling and I’m always away from a lot of my family and friends. So, it can be hard. But, once I get to go home and see my family, it’s always a pleasure.” Before leaving, he had these words of wisdom for the kids: “Be nice to each other and treat each other with respect and grow up to be people of character.” The episode aired Wednesday and when he chatted with the school’s principal, Sherrie Gahn, he opened up about his own struggles growing up in Canada. “I’m here to bring a smile to these kids’ faces. For me, I grew up and I didn’t have a lot. We went to food banks to get food for me and my grandparents. Really, if I didn’t have my grandparents to help me and these kids they have you to help them,” he said. “And it’s really special.” What questions do you wish Justin Bieber answered? Slim Dunkin Reportedly Murdered After Fight Over Candy

The Waka Flocka Flame affiliate fought with man over stolen piece of candy, Atlanta police say. By Rob Markman Slim Dunkin and Waka Flocka Photo: MTV News Atlanta police are still on the hunt for the man who shot and killed up-and-coming rapper “Slim Dunkin” on December 16, but new disturbing details have emerged in the case. On Tuesday, WSB-TV in Atlanta reported that the Waka Flocka Flame affiliate and Brick Squad Monopoly member was shot in an altercation which began over a stolen piece of candy. “The information we’re getting, it’s unconfirmed, but witnesses are saying this whole thing started over a piece of candy,” homicide detective David Quinn told “Action News” on camera. According to witnesses, Dunkin, born Mario Hamilton, grabbed a piece of candy from another man while inside an Atlanta recording studio, which led to an argument and then a fistfight. The scuffle ended with Slim being shot once in the chest. He was then transported to Grady Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There were a number of witnesses at the scene, but because police first arrived at the hospital and not the scene of the crime, they didn’t have the opportunity to properly interview all of the people who were present. There will be a public viewing on Thursday at Atlanta’s Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home, located at 1003 Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, from the hours of 6 p.m. ET to 9 p.m. ET. Dunk was an emerging star in Waka Flocka Flame ‘s Brick Squad Monopoly crew. Aside from key appearances alongside Flocka on his 2010 debut album, Flockaveli, and on Gucci Mane and V-Nasty’s BAYTL LP, Slim was also beginning to make waves as a soloist. This past Halloween the street-bred MC released Menace II Society, a 20-track mixtape that featured Gucci Mane, Roscoe Dash and Pastor Troy. Dunkin’s death has sent waves through the rap community; his close collaborators were undoubtedly hit hard. The day after he was murdered Waka took to Twitter to express his grief. “WISH IT WAS ME … MY F—ING RIGHT HAND IS GONE,” Flocka wrote the day after the murder. The “O Let’s Do It” MC continued to vent over Twitter, writing, “damn I feel dead” and “IM LOST” in reaction to the tragic news. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward and call 404-577-TIPS.
